The music in the ending with the old man and the motorcycle is another Igorrr track called “Parpaing” featuring corpsegrinder fisher on vocals from cannibal corpse - another fun track, well worth a look
RESPECC THA NECC
Easily the best track on the album imo, and kind of comes out of nowhere in the playthrough.
@@keenannaugle9714 this is an underrated tactic when creating an album
Great track, but I don't feel like that song represents what Igorrr is known for. ieuD is the go to for Igorrr
Jpp is it really called Parpaing? It means "brick" but with a southern French accent, a kind of French meme
Clowncore and Igorrr what a treat.
Hell yeah!
could not agree more. after seeing his clowncore reaction and hearing him say that he had igorrr next i almost jumped for joy
I know, right!
Worked out perfectly!
You better know "ATR" ;P
Breakcore?
Igorrr older stuff had more of this style.
But I’m going to recommend Himalaya Massive Ritual... again 😀
Tout Petit Moineau is Igorrr at his best imo.
Seconded. The vocals in that are amazing too.
Himalaya Massive Ritual is my absolute favorite
Same, though the whole album is just perfect
I recently got back into Nostril and Hallelujah, they have some massively epic tracks as well!
I think i might be able to narrow it down a bit more. The sub genre would be Metal Breaks. its a mix of breakcore and metalstep
It makes so much sense to see a composer twitching and twisting in confusion as this song unfolds. Amazing
Oh man. You should definitely check out some Aphex Twin.
I would sugest Gantz Graf by Autechre
Vordhosbn
FLIM
Fenix Funk
Hah, the godfather of breakcore
Igorrr is basically a fusion of breakcore, baroque, metal and other genres.
As other mentioned, this guy has had a hand in Whourkr musical project, as well as Corpo-Mente.
Very talented dude. I just recently realized I have been listening to his stuff for over a decade at this point.
The Genre is sometimes refered to as "Breakcore"! I recommend Venetian Snares. Albums like "My Downfall" and "Rossz Csillag Alatt Született" or "My Love is a Bulldozer" are a good starting point for someone coming from classical music.
Rossz Csillag Alatt Született is a good shout, I'd like to see what he thinks of Öngyilkos Vasárnap or something else with an odd time signature of Venetian Snare's
You are correct about the music being live, check out some behind the scenes stuff they did on this album, drums, bass, and lots of guest musicians. How he gets it all to sound like this together is mind blowing!
Opus Brain is another amazing song of theirs; I would definitely recommend checking that one out.
Their best yet, I say.
Lovely evening to receive a notification from Geebz reacting to Igorrr
Dude this video made me smile so much. I just got turned onto this band yesterday and I’m equally pumped about people pushing the boundaries of what is possible in metal (and all the other genres incorporated so flawlessly)
More Igorrr! You should do Ieud or Himalaya Massive Ritual
+1 for Himalaya Massive RItual
IeuD!
Himalaya massive ritual is so fucking groovy and heavy
Awesome man! Thanks so much for hitting IGORRR again! May I suggest Ieud next? And as far as I know, IGORRR is its own genre.
Yeah, I love it!!
More igorrr please, do ieuD next.
IGORRR is an absolute mad genious. He mixes so many genres...probably his most insane track is Vegetable Soup...he used A FUCKING CHICKEN as an instrument. That guy is so damn insane, I love it :D
Also really insane are his tracks "Paranoid Bulldozer Italiano" and "Cheval" :D
I rarely burst out laughing at a song, but the first time I heard Vegetable Soup was one of those times.
Also another song in that album used the sound of vacuum cleaner starting up as riser. That was also a "wait... What?!" moment. But igorrr creates a lot of those moments.
Billy Idol used a saw blade to get just the right sound in 'Neuromancer', but a CHICKEN?! That goes a step beyond!
found my new fav channel!! great stuff man! dont ever stop the DAD JOKES. "if you keep it flowing it keeps me goin" i losttt it at that lmao
Just started listening to Igor as well, what timing!!
The bassist on this one is also Erlend Caspersen, he has a bass playthrough on one of the songs on this album on his channel
This was the first content by Igorr I ever experienced. I was on 5 hits of acid and let my RUclips auto play music videos and this video came up. I swear my head actually imploded
I absolutely love the bands you decompose. All bands I love and listen to.
I come back to this clip ones every few year and just enjoy the build up, absurd and the power this song combined with the clip has… it goes so fast every time you discover something new… it’s one of those songs that lingers in the back for the right moment to pop up…
My dude I can't wait for you to watch their video 'ieuD', that song is absolute brilliance in every way.
All my neurons are going crazy with this music.
Every single video that Igorrr has put out since the release of Savage Sinusoid is definitely worth a look!!!
This song has so many levels. It tells a unique story. Sorry to spoil the end but the old man riding into the sunset/brainset is AMAZING!!
Just happened to come across Igorrr (after going down the RUclips rabbit hole) but found this reaction video of yours to be absolutely priceless. Seeing you trying to avoid the video and listen to the music was just awesome. The song itself I never heard so I was watching (both the video and you) at the same time and was just awe struck. The music itself reminded me of so many thing. Aphex Twin, Infectious Grooves, Sepultura, BucketHead, the list goes on... But this was a breath of fresh air to hear and see some material like this. Thank you for your insight and thank you for sharing this with others.
Thank you very much Anthony!
I think I might actually follow you. It's good to see somebody who is just down with the music for what it is. Music has been my escape for a very long time and it has a lot to offer. It's good to see somebody else just really enjoying it. I'm curious to find out through watching your videos what you have listened to what you haven't because I've been a records clerk for approximately 4 years and during that time I have piped all of the music into my head that I could find.
I think you'd love what their song Cheval has to offer, as It displays a lot of different instruments along with that tech sound that's very present in this song.
He did that one.
@@QueenBee-py3ks Oh haha 😄 guess I forgot
Great reaction !! I saw also your previous Igorrr video, you probably already heard of them but I think you are ready for some Mr Bungle stuff, especially from their second and third albums.
Maybe "carry stress in the jaws" or "desert search for techno Allah" or "Platypus" from "Disco Volante" album.
Also "Ars Moriendi"or "Goodbye Sober days" from "California".
Gautier Serre, (Igorrr mastermind) is a huge fan of this band.
I was waiting for this video. Very good 👌🏻
'Unpleasant Sonata' is my absolute favorite Igorrr song and BOY is it a treat. Older song of his and has loads of harpsichord.
That's a badass mix of drum and bass mixed with metal!
If you want something really amazing, you should listen to his other band, "Corpo-Mente." I highly recommend the song "Ort". Keep it up Brother!
they are just soo great 😍
Excellent suggestion
Love corpo mente
oh yeah, i want video reaction about "Ort [Live at Improve Tone Studios, 2015]"
@@iiooh I think he would really enjoy this one. Such an amazing song
The end of this vid had a sample from another song on the album, Parpaing, which features George Fisher of Cannibal Corpse on vocals. I really like the track, the band have tried to go for an old school death metal style but with a heavy electronic passage and some cool effects and cuts from a modular synth setup. The video is really cool too, it's mostly a studio vid which but it has a cartoon in there too that's pretty fun. It's cool because you get to see how some of the electronic effects are set up and used and see the rest of the band doing their thing.
Igorr is the best of their genre but it’s still rock and roll to me.
you could even call it...
mindblowing
Another great vid from the de-composer!
Key of Geebz, usually the really fast breaks and drum style is what I've seen a lot in IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) artists such as Aphex Twin, Squarepusher and even some of Autechre's tracks.
More IGORR! Definitely looking forward to ieuD and/or Himalaya Massive Ritual!
You're such a kindly person, i love your open minded attitude and so your videos. Btw, Breakcore is the Igorrr native genre and this track is a return to the origin. I want to recommend you some other interesting artists you'll love:
Venetian Snares
Ruby My Dear
The Algorithm
Corpo Mente (Igorrr side project with a band and the beautiful voice of Laure Prunenec)
Cheers from Italy 🍻
Love seeing Igorrr! What a trilogy today, in general!
Please check out Tower by Joseph Magazine. So many great bands and albums go unnoticed, and this album is one of those gems!
Great, out there choices today man!
For electronic music, I would love to hear someone explore Shpongle or Infected Mushroom.
Tales of the inexpressible 👌 also Boards of Canada for melancholic nostalgic vibes
Cities of the future would be an interesting watch!
ott is great if you like shpongle, or younger brother
>Shpongle
YESSSSSSSSS
The bassist is a session musician, Erlend Caspersen, formerly of the death metal bands Blood Red Throne and Spawn of Possession.
Your upload frequency is insane, love it!
the bassist who recorded this, Erlend Caspersen, is stupid good! he also played for a technical death metal band Spawn of Possession and recorded their last album Incurso in 2012.
More Igorrr please! Interested to see your thoughts on Chicken Sonata haha. And please look into Mr Bungle too! Their second album Disco Volante has some stuff like this plus a bunch of other interesting mixtures with metal.
thank's alot for this video! Many thank's!
I love the perspective you bring to the table, very cool. I'd love to see you tap into some Faith No More. Epic and Falling To Pieces are two that many would recommend. I personally love the King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime album. I'm still exploring them and that happened to be the first album I jumped into. Anyway, take care brother!
Man, Tout petit moineau by igorrr (live 2014)! I promise you, it is beautiful. Watch it for yourself. Hybrid of barocco with almost opera voice and electronic. Not so extreme as this track :)
Fun fact, at the time Igorrr described his (before it became a full band project) style as baroque-core :)
Yes yes yes!
Igorrr tends to be different every time, even if recognizable somehow. For example: ruclips.net/video/3zRU-VU87HI/видео.html or ruclips.net/video/Z5Qk89_xMcs/видео.html
The superfast technical metal is called Tech metal. XD. I've made A few recommendations on prior videos about the genre.
Tentacles of the Sun - Virvum.
Or anything by Necrophagist.
necrophagist yes!. what ever happened to them?
@@hughneutron5303 I think Mohammed just gave up.
@@hughneutron5303 Mohammed left to become some sort of engineer with volkswagon or Mercedes. I cant remember exactly.
@@6ic6ic6ic lol why can i see him as the frontman of the "v dub in the house ya" ad campaign
Ha! What an experience... never heard this before. Interesting.
Oh my goodness. I'd seen this before, but you made me check out more Igorrr - now I'm lost down a rabbit hole of enjoyment. This also led me to a side-project called Corpo-Mente. Just one album in 2015. Based around Laure Le Prunenac's vocals (she's in the other Igorrr track you've decomposed). I'd recommend checking out any of their songs!
The video has quite a meaning about it, worth googling and reading up, based on testimonies of stroke victims.
I love all sort of emotions on Your face
I'm sure this has been said before, I'm gonna write it anyway. The "EDM" part is called Drum and Bass / Breakcore. Thanks for your videos, your open mindedness really comes across! This shouldn't have to be said but it's the intertet: I also love your genuinity :)
woow.. videos back to back! Thanks again. Please add this to the waiting track for decomposition: "How the Jellyfish Jumped up the Mountain" by Shpongle
If you enjoy the blend of electronic with real instrumentation: 65daysofstatic, Ratatat, M83, Squarepusher... and for more electronic: Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Plaid, Shpongle, Venetian Snares, múm.
the instruments sounding the way they do is because Igorrr on top making edm style music also plays most of the instruments you hear and incorporates it into this very unique music haha
Great reaction! You introduced us to some really interesting music here (hear?)
Just wandering through an old video on my journey through RUclips, thought I'd recommend Squarepusher, especially his older stuff :)
What a day on Geebz. Aphex Twin now seems inevitable.
The bass on this entire record is mind blowing. I haven’t been able to confirm that igorrr himself plays the bass, or if it’s a session guy, or some programming I don’t about.(which I doubt).
It's the same session guy on the last two albums, although I think there's few songs that have someone else on them. I forget his name, but he's got a RUclips channel where he's done few playthroughs of Igorrr songs. He was or is in some other technical death metal band. His name is Erling or something like that.
Edit: Here he is : ruclips.net/video/mul1FK3lY1s/видео.html
@@nomindseye He was in a tech death band called Spawn of Possession, which is absolutely phenomenal and some of the most well-composed metal out there. Such a shame they've split now. Their last record Incurso is a MASTERPIECE.
@@DREADDWELLER He needs to react to Spawn of possession - apparition!!
@@nomindseye Hey man, thanks a lot for the info. I tried to research it and came up with squat. I really appreciate it.
That was nuts!
While I'm not the greatest historian on Igorrr, I feel like most fans I've talked to agree that this was definitely one of the most... experimental of his tracks. It's certainly among the least, I guess I could say, "structured". It's fun, but more like a demo than a conventional song.
I'm just a fan though, so it was really cool to hear a composer's take on it. Also, your face/reaction at 1:18 cracked me up 🤣
1:53 That reaction killed me
Dynamics and stuff like wave manipulation and using an abundance of different noises/frequencies is the future of music. Music becomes more dissonant with time.
Now do Venetian Snares, you gonna love it
Shaved head looks great, man!! :D
I'd recommend Ladyscraper for more music in this style sometimes called Breakcore. His style implements classical structure hidden under layers of craziness in tracks like "100 year old chicken thief".
He also works with a drummer named Henri Grimes for a duo band called Big Lad, which most of the time is more of a groovy rock style but also like to go hardcore on occasion.
No way! Yeah! Did not expect this. 😁 'Viande' is currently my favourite dashboard puncher! I don't recommend shaving & listening to this lol. ✌🏻🤟🏻
Definitely the best album from last year that I'm aware of. Probably the best thing I've heard in years, as an old-school Warp/IDM head who also likes prog metal.
It's not just creatively and technically ambitious, but it's beautiful.
1997 - Spawn movie soundtrack, Slayer + Atari Teenage Riot - No Remorse - the prototype for this... in fact the whole soundtrack was amazing, lots of genre bending, and far far better than the meh movie. btw, found this channel thanks to the Clowncore vid - i'm a fan. Subscribed now, very cool genuine reactions. :)
Ooh getting into my neck of the woods here, a few suggestions are in order I feel!
"Oneohtrix Point Never - I Bite Through It" This artist is a rabbithole in his own right when it comes to his effect on internet culture, consistently really interesting sample work and compositional experimentation throughout his career and some albums/EP are totally out there when it comes to genre bending.
The marketing for this particular album involved making a fake late 90's website for a fictional band complete with tributes to their influences, band member biographies posting their demos online as teasers for the album... fun stuff! Also partly responsible for starting waporwave, it's a mood.
"Ozric Tentacles - Magic Valley"
Old school Space rock with plenty of electronic psychedelic elements. Instrumentation is always fun and innovative even if the discography is a bunch of hit and miss, has a tendency to get a bit noodly. ^-^ But when it's tight it's otherworldly tight and a lot of fun live!
"Clark - Mathew Unburdened"
One of the legends in experimental edm. I always enjoy his soundscapes regardless of aesthetic direction he takes the album, not a single dud within earshot. Everything from walls of sound compressed and harshly distorted to beautiful soaring melodies, a lot of organic instrumentation and sampling but a few pure electronic thumpers as well. Can't go wrong anywhere in his discography and every album has a distinct cohesive aesthetic and instrumentation to it.
I wondered if this would find you. It's easy to dismiss as noise, but there's something brilliant in there.
Did you make a pre-haircut cameo at 2:21 ?
Man , you should check out some Loathe , specifically the song 'Heavy is the head that falls with the weight of a thousand thoughts'. Kind of a long title haha, but man Loathe are a total trip.
Think you'll want to explore him some more, right?
Igorr is a lot like SQuarepusher in that its a lot of hard breakcore with really highly skilled instrument playing on top.
That little clip at the end is a sample from the rest of the album this single is from, btw. I recommend you check the rest of this album out its really solid.
Haha it looks like you're having a bad trip when you're listening at the start. Understandable, I guess. Igorrr is not for the faint of heart.
I like your vids. Subbed.
PS Please do a review of 'Problème d'émotion' - also by Igorrr. It's haunting, beautiful, and heavy.
Old composer = decomposer🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Duuude, you're genious, I LOVE YOUR HUMOR!!!!😂😂😂😂
I've been a hobby DJ since the late 90's rave scene. Fast tempo techno or EDM generally falls in to the sub-genres of hardcore/gabber, happy hardcore (it's different), and jungle. There are lots of other influences too like noise/glitch/drill which fall under the umbrella term "experimental techno". This track has jungle/glitch drums at about 180 BPM. Hardcore/Gabber use distorted 4/4 kicks with alt rolls on the end of half and full measures. This song could mix perfectly with artists like Drumcorps, Venetian Snares, or Squarepusher. All experimental glitch/drill artists I hope you will check out in the future.
TLDR: Please listen to Drumcorps, Venetian Snares, or Squarepusher.
WOW this is happening! See you in 8 minutes, I'm ready for this ride.
Hus reaction looked like he was a random guy trying to be someones therapist and hes listening to them explain their issues for the first time
This song and Downgrade desert were my first experiences with the band and I was hooked. definitely check out the video for downgrade desert. the heave bit at the end of this video (Very Noisy) is from the video/song "Parpaing" with guest vocalist George Fisher, the thickest neck in the industry lol. I would love to see your take on these songs.
The algorithm is a perfect gateway
I've been binging a lot of your content for the past few days and I have to say, I would love to see you react to some Between the Buried and Me.
Here's a few songs I would recommend for your style of analysis : "Coma Machine", "Extremophile Elite", "Sun of Nothing" and "Silent Flight Parliament".
Take care sir!
Igorrr is goals
If you're gonna do some electronic music, I think you'd enjoy Voodoo People by the Prodigy (or some other song by them)
igorrr "robert " is a awesome one too.
you are the best
This is basically Technical Metal.
The song Tendon is very nice from Igorrr as well. Also, there is a fan made clip in youtube.
Yeah, dude! Diggin' the shaved melon, man! Rock on!
Igorrr’s partners in crime across many projects are Laurent and Laure (aka Oxxo Xoox and Ricinn, respectively). If you like Igorrr, you’ll love those other projects, though each is kind of like a separate aspect of the music isolated and made into its own thing. And then reaching back there’s Whourkr, which was also very intense breakcore-esque metal along the lines of this track.
But if you want a nice hybrid of electronic and metal that’s a different flavour than this, I implore once again that you should check out Sleep Token’s “Say That You Will” :)
Great writing, great engineering, and a great mix of metal, electronic, and R&B: ruclips.net/video/NCGgmABxLLY/видео.html
that EDM genre is called breakcore/drum & bass. Also that little snippet you heard towards the end was a different song featuring Corpsegrinder from Cannibal Corpse called Parpaing. Check that one out. Another good crossover EDM/metal band I really like is called Pendulum, which is Rob Swire (aka Knife Party)'s project. The Immersion album is incredible.
Thank you Mark!
Just for your information, since 2017 Igorrr is a band.
Yes it started as a solo project, but Igorrr right now has vocalists Laurent Lunoir and Laure Le Prunenec, and the amazing drummer Sylvain Bouvie.
That's why I would love to check out some of their projects, too.
(Öxxö Xööx and Corpo-Mente as an example.)
Corpo-Mente - Arsalein (Live) ruclips.net/video/IJEtBYVheB0/видео.html
The style of that type of drumming is called breakcore or beatcore.
The most famous band in breakcore is Venetian Snares:

I know you try to focus on the music, but in some cases like this, I feel watching the video is part of the experience, it's just insane!
(I love your reactions btw)
