As a Mexican I'm really happy to see Mexico City/Central Mexico represented as an ACTUAL city (and it looks really true to life) and not some old timey sepia-filtered village! The Jacaranda trees look so pretty!

That has already been confirmed and it was shown in the trailer
@@Gerrlyit does say that not all features showed in trailer will be in the game, also they weren’t sleeping they were awake in that scene… so you can never be sure unfortunately
@@Gerrlywell in the trailer they cuddled straight after woohoo, we didn't actually see them sleeping and cuddling which is what they would do automatically in the Sims 2 (and 3 maybe)
There is a mod for that, if you play on PC, called Bed Cuddle!

I really really hope they backfill townies though. I'm not going through every townies romance likes and dislikes and without them set, the feature is practically useless.
@@kelizabeth3061this! I think the preference system is better than the likes & dislikes system. The likes and dislikes system is still too inconsistent and sims would still do things that they dislike even with it toggled.

I know so many people are saying "there's already mods for online dating in sims" but at the same time, not everyone plays on computer and has acess to mods, or don't have a computer strong enough to run the game with them. I think this pack has alot of potential!
I play on my steam deck primarily and honestly I'm tired of constantly needing mods. I buy EA packs to replace them because I'm tired of having to redownload them every time a new patch comes. This pack is gonna replace a few for me which makes me happy.
Yeah and those mods aren't *that* great, they don't give you much info and it's hard to see the sim pictures

I absolutely love the Latino vibes of the new world! Feels good to have an actual liveable world inspired by latinoamerica, since the only one we have right now is Selvadorada, which is just a vacation world. Specially love all the names and the recurring butterfly imagery!

As a Mexican American, I'm glad they went all the way instead of making it a collage of the entirety of Latin America. Latin American cultures are so diverse so it sucks to see it mushed together all the time.
8:11 having your sim have romantic interests and things about a person they’re attracted to/not is a feature in a mod i’ve played, i’m sure it’s probably not the only one, and i’m glad we’re finally getting that in some way officially. I’m sure the compatibility feature from growing together also probably helps, i just haven’t gotten the chance to play growing together because i dont own it
I like that we finally have a Hispanic World (I may say city, but The Sims Universe call them worlds) that doesn't seem stereotypical. I know cultural places is important, but me, being puertorrican, living in this island all my life, can assure you that we don't just have beaches and palms, we also have buildings and cities, and clubs, and mountains, and forests...
The most important thing for me was the penthouse! Now it has my full attention!
Edit (no that anyone cares): some people are commenting that this Ciudad Enamorada (translated as "City in Love") is inspired in San Miguel, Guanajato, MX. It makes sense! Looks so cool!
I hope they at least have a small beach area (similar to San Sequoia where it wasn't a feature but it is still there and swimmable.)
I saw the windows and my first thought was: I'll be able to build the houses and that bar I photographed in San Miguel!
I assumed it was Mexico because that's where axolotls are native to, and since it's in a little aquarium, maybe we can find them in the world like we can with frogs.

@@benjaminzammit4795 It's not about new collections, they mean collectible spots in new words, like rocks and frogs etc. there's barely any in the new worlds, like the only collectible besides plants in Moonwood Mill is a singular frog spot.

while the city I live isn't very folklore-y I've been to so many cities that look EXACTLY like this, mixing tradition and color with modernity and neon lights

Mexico City is my favorite city I’ve ever been to and I also lived in Buenos Aires briefly, and I completely agree everyone sleeps on the amazing cities of Latin America! I’m so happy they went that route with this pack and I can’t wait to see the new foods. (I do wonder if the creators know the connotation of mariposa with that one neighborhood name lol)
THIS. I really love WW and I’ll keep it even after this pack, because it’s pretty accurate to real dating and attraction. Like, your Sim can have bodily preferences, but it doesn’t stop them from romancing another Sim that they find “unattractive”. AND there’s a feature where their preferences are slowly tuned to fit their partners physicalities over time, especially if they’re considered unattractive. So it’s not a slap-in-the-face kind of body type feature, but something that just exists and works!
(Also really happy about the Latin inspo, but I just wanted to touch on the body thing lol)

That bear skin rug is from the sims 1! Sims could lie on it amd have champagne. I used to put it in all of my houses because it was one of the only objects that allowed unique romatic interactions (like the heart bed)

I'm excited for this one! It'll be nice to have a romance overhaul since the base game update sounds like it's adding the ability to have poly relationships which is something I've been hoping for for years! And we'll FINALLY be able to make round fountains and pools! Yay!
I feel like this is the first pack where I feel the majority of the interactions in it should have just been a base-game update. As Kayla says though, hopefully the CAS and build items make up for that feeling

fun fact about the “Beso Rápido” spot: “beso” is spanish for “kiss” and “rápido” is portuguese for “quick” which it means “quick kiss”. The whole new world is based on somewhere that speaks spanish, but the fact that there’s a word in portuguese can indicate that the “Beso Rápido” spot is kinda based on brazillian motels, that it works differently than the motels in the US. motels here are a place where people go for a few hours to do sexy business haha just a fun curiosity

Being a Brazilian, I thought of São Paulo the moment I saw the city (even before knowing it was inspired in Latin America). I’m happy they gave us a place inspired in Latin America where you can live and not just visit like Selva Dorada! Really curious about the items ❤ For the next expansion pack, I wish I could see some cities inspired in Africa, Middle eastern or India!

I'm freaking pumped, this looks so awesome! I noticed so many interesting looking items, and the central/south America vibes are so freaking perfect for this pack! I'm impressed with the effort the team has made to diversify representation in the game. It really does matter.

I’m wondering if teens also can do some of the same actions and have some of the same options as young adults, adults and elders.i saw that they can’t use the app, but other than that it would be so cool if they could have more in depth crushes and heartbreaks and unrequited love. I also hope that NPC’s and townies can get into relationships all on their own, without me controlling them or setting things up.
