NAIL THE MIX is an online mixing school created by Joey Sturgis, Joel Wanasek and Eyal Levi - the guys who produced bands like TDWP, Chelsea Grin, Blessthefall, Machine Head, Monuments, Miss May I, Of Mice & Men, Reflections, Born Of Osiris, Asking Alexandria and dozens more of this generation's best metal bands.
Every month, NAIL THE MIX members get exclusive access to the REAL MULTI-TRACK SESSIONS from a REAL ALBUM, and a 6-8 hour live streaming class from the producer who mixed it. These are the actual sessions by bands like Gojira, Meshuggah, Periphery, Papa Roach, Machine Head, Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember and more - and NTM is the only place in the world you'll get access to them!
Bruh watching Buster perform his workflow is entertainment
"Oh shit"
-Pulls out an unauthorised plugin. Love it. We've all been there, Buster.
I actually only use plugins I've paid for other than a couple Fab filter plugs cause they're so expensive. Never run into problems loading old sessions or using stuff I know works.
@@BrofUJu UAD plugins get installed as a full package, meaning that even if you only own 10, you'll have dozens on your computer that you can't actually use, unless you buy them or in demo mode. This isn't a cracked plugin, you can't crack UAD :)
@@davidbmixing sure u can, i've used a Lot
The tip on not having the low end trigger the sample is super helpful, thanks. Going to do that for sure.
Yeah, I noted that one straight away.
I fucking KNEW buster had his hands on mixing of this EP. You can hear him a mile away. He's just that recognizable
Sounds great and all, but it needs more cowbell.
Cowbell Kick? Hmm...
True.
From the father of low tuning, this is a golden nugget for anyone getting started in recording metal in today's world.
🤘
8:58 tell me that shit didn’t sound like a machine gun as soon as he threw saturn on it 😂
That Drum room really changed with just the EQ
when you should make gun sound samples for movie production...
ThaaLLLL
Where are you guys getting your drums samples and such? Not just this one but, in general too.
A lot of bands who track real drums will track samples of the kit they're using or the engineer will have a sample library that has been built up over time.
bro put air on the kick alr ok
