Lol I remember I was using this classy red outfit long sleeve top with a long skirt. It was a day with a occasion I was looking good for. And this guy was going on by a skateboard and he fell right by me lol😂 I did not know what to think but I think I caught his attention

Something similar happened to me before. This guy (an acquaintance) was walking while smiling at me and then walked into a person in front of him. It totally made me laugh.

I think majority of men enjoy this since it's a low chance that you will get raped or attacked. I'm only 4'11" so I am definitely fearful. It made me uncomfortable ever since I was a teen. I still am. It's not something I can get used to. It's kind of flattering. It means more to me when it comes from a guy I actually care about.

Since I was a young girl men have always looked at me, undressed me with their eyes, made vulgar remarks I HATED it... hated walking down the street alone. Now as a Muslim woman I am covered head to toe and don’t have that issue anymore..

The last time I paid more money, than I normally would, at a restaurant was May 12th. The day my husband graduated from Nursing School. He picked the restaurant and I paid for everything. I told him to pick whatever he wanted, from the menu. He was in heaven, lol. Oh yeah...I gave a nice tip, too 😉! He deserved it, from all of the hard work he did the past year and a half.
I admit I had bad spending habits and would buy things out of not having discipline. Let’s say through the pandemic I learned and let’s say it’s been hard but I’m getting there.💕 let’s say I spend it on bills, food & gas.😭

I'd say both for me. It depends on the tension and agenda behind the look. I agree with Jeanie. I don't like men approaching me in secluded areas or when it's dark/ late at night either but I think that to say don't look at me all the little bit of a stretch and a little ridiculous. He has a right to observe his surroundings as much as a woman does. But to stare in that scenario (I totally agree with her). That is a different story.
I hate it... it’s been happening to me since 10. Sometimes they even say something. Some are appropriate while some are wild. I can’t. I don’t feel safe about that. I’m most likely to just smile and walk away. Fast.

I think it’s flattering unless it turns into harassment or they stare wayy too much to where it feels very uncomfortable.
Just a look or a quick "You look beautiful today" with nothing else, is really refreshing and nice. I had a guy friend in high school who was always so respectful and made it a point to give me non threatening compliments multiple times a week, with total respect to the friendship boundaries. It made me feel great! But my most loved compliments have always been from other women.

The reactions to this kind of shows the type of experiences women and girls have throughout their lives. Since 11 years old I would be followed home, men screaming out the window at me, even being grabbed so when I, "turn heads", I'm concerned they're going to follow me. I don't like it🤷🏾♀️

In our country there is no such thing🤷♀️ waitresses get their monthly wage. So, really i'm curious if this is normal in other countries or only US. Dont come at me, i haven't traveled that much😶
Yo! It does my head in about US restaurants... each time I come to the US they try to explain it to me and I don’t get it as well. Where I’m from, they’re paid monthly. If you wanted to tip, that’s fine but it’s not compulsory.
Yes, in the US the tip etiquette is real. Waitresses may give you an attitude if you do not tip. Even if you do not dine-in, and you just ordered food to be picked up, a little tip is expected.
For someone who come from a different culture, my 1st reaction was that I tip when I am satisfied with the service. I do not want to feel like tipping is an obligation.
But later, you learn that the waitresses' wages is set up a little differently here in the US.
It's not normal on my island. The employees get their normal wages paid by their employers. I live in the Caribbean.

Wait staff wages in the US are not a typical fair hourly pay rate . It's lower because the tips are expected to round it out .

I don't enjoy being sexualized. That is why they are looking, and many look at you like you are a sexual person. It is not about what a great person you are. Being a kid and having men do that, it is really creepy and makes me feel so awful.
