Baikal MP654K Makarov 4.5mm Co2 Pistol Upgrade And Polished Slide

I purchased a used gen 4 blued version. I noticed some rust to the inner slide area and there were some nicks in the side of the slide. I decided to polish the slide. See the results.

Phil great video but before you set about removing the so called rust the natural blued pistol they are manufactured from weapons grade gun metal and the nickel plated pistol is made from weapons grade stainless steel so obviously the nickel pistol wont rust but this brown staining on the inside of the slide is more likely to be gun metal patina, in other words if you have ever had a firearm made out of real gun metal they eventually go a brown color with time and this is not rust . ie the Victoria Cross medal is brown in color and those are made from gun metal ,get my drift, but once again a great set of video's

I wonder if you could do the opposite. Removing the finish on the frame. Wouldn't mind making my 654 look like my old PA-63, blued slide, alloy frame.

Any idea how many FPS you pick up with the new barrel and extension ?.
I was going to make one with a Drozd barrel, but the fake silencer looks nice.

China North Airguns. - hi, using the xcortech cronograph I measured an extra 21 FPS on average over 10 shots with the barrel extention.

They do come up on eBay now and again, especially from Russian sellers. I was lucky to spot it when I did. I recently sold this one on eBay.

Philip Jones so how does the original barrel come off?? Is it threaded onto the bit that connects it to the frame if you get me?
