12:35 After the first 1-lb ball hits you can see a large black object also strike the safe on the left side, near the edge of the door. I'm assuming this is some kind of wadding Scott used when packing the gun. Just look at how much damage even that does to the door... puts a HUGE dent in the side. That punt gun is no joke, folks!
The thing about these cheap big box gun safes is that they are made of REALLY thin sheet metal. Seriously, a car door is likely as thick or thicker than the metal that they are made from. A common tactic of thieves is to cut a slot and then peel the metal open like a can of sardines. A serious safe will have 3/8" to 1/2" plate steel or thicker and would react much differently.
9:46 That's what was fired at the Confedrate soldiers who were moving through the cornfield at Antietam. Only it was fired through cannons. Think punt gun times twenty. "Think punt gun times twenty." Think your brain times 0, because those canons didnt put as much velocity on those projectiles as punt gun, especially that they werent shot at fkin 50y or less range. So it was MUCH WEAKER, times twenty weaker.

@anweshd84 well, it came out of my head, and I failed physics. However, from my understanding, gravity only pulls at a constant force. The gun may be heavy, but it's still not staying still when it's being fired. The counter weight would be a pulley attached to steel cable that ties back to the gun mount, increasing the forward pressure by alot. To truly know, imagine a large concrete bench. On top, it has a slot for this gun. Strap the barrel down onto a softblock. (For aim and no damage to the barrel.) When you shoot, the gun can't move back at all, or up or down. All force is directed outward like a claymore mine. This setup is more similar to setting your rifle on your truck bed, not holding the handle and tickling the trigger. It may be because the amount of recoil far exceeds the materials ability to take the hit. In the most simple terms if the gun can't be set against a Boulder and fired from the side. I recommend the pulley system. It will work like a spring and more closely resemble a shoulder during recoil. If the gun can move back, we are not seeing its true power. Opposite and equal reaction thing. The gun moved 6 feet back. That ate the velocity of the actual rounds. You might be able to find it somewhere. Maybe youtube physics of large caliber recoil. My wife and I watched this video and laughed at your antics and results. I found my self wishing I was right there with you. I love your videos far more that the traditional shooting and training films. I was in Law Enforcement for 38 years and the most fun I had (all of us actually) when my felllow officers and I were shooting was to crack up a bit, DOWN RANGE and in a safe manner, at the targets and nothing that would harm any of us. I remember oone of my best friends some times had a little trouble hitting all of his targets, so another guy and I would stand on either side of him and "help out". When we would go down range he was surprised to have 10 or 12 holes in his target when we had oonly fire 6 shots. Like I said, safe fun, but , just like you, a little crazy. I will keep watching your videos because they are the BEST on you tube. Thank you for the crazy fun.

Musket? *Cannon* is more like it!
11:22 is your forehead bleeding?
No, that’s so wrinkle because he’s flexing his forehead and most of the time when you like any part of your body it gets a bit wrinkly so its a shadow
I see Scott has definetly learned his lesson about being too close to firing weapons. He was a lucky man and glad to see him still making content.
“The punt gun is pretty good at busting balls!” ☠️☠️☠️😭😭😭💀💀
Scott, you are a wierd and crazy guy! But wierd and crazy in a good sense. My younger man age can identify with you now. As a matter of fact, at 80 years old I still can identify with you.
The most impressive feature about these videos is the camera work, and slow motion effects that allow us to see the penetration of the bullets, holy 😮😮!
Scott gestures a bit like SNL's Chris Farley('64-'97)~R.I.P. and I find that absolutely hilarious. The laughter helps to get through any down day.
And then some ...
14:00 Dr. Suess' idea of a gun😂😂😂
Wow. A real cannon. Is this what happened to the Passenger Pigeon? This gun was for commercial harvesting of wild birds, after all.
I hope he let scooter out of the safe. Would love for an april first vid, that scooter does a whole video, maybe with that slingshot of his.
I wish i had an instructor like u back in bootcamp😂😂 i was laughing so hard at that golf ball damage report
You took down the prey quickly and cleanly. Very impressive!
People and animals walking through that place for the next 500 years will be like "here's a tail, there's a tail".
“Fishing the gun through the giant holes” 😂 bro is funny
This punt gun likes to bust balls got me rolling😂
I love how he acts every time he fires the punt gun. Like he is surprised by sound or something lol
Bro said the punt gun is pretty good at busting balls 💀
1:00 "she be kickin'" Kentucky Ballistics, 2024
These things were made to take out flocks of ducks sitting on the water. They were mounted to a boat, floated over near the flock and boom!
After disabling the lock, I would have shot the safe again until the door opened again. I found your channel through your collaborations with the Slow Mo Guys and I'm bingeing your content. So far the punt gun and 4 bore rifle videos are my faves, but there's a lot of other great content here. I'm subscribed to a few hundred channels, but this one is one of only about a dozen that I have notifications turned on for.
