I suggest removing the muzzle break if you can as it can cause problems with the sabot and make it less accurate (if you care about that) Still really cool to see :D
@@BunsenOblivious At those pressures and velocities you are probably correct, but with an enlarged bore you could likely install a sleeve and check velocity/ accuracy differences. Muzzle devices are an issue with sabot rounds out of rifles with breaks, and they also have enlarged bores. Baffle strikes are a thing even in correctly concentric builds. Also, that potato cannon is awesome.
The first several seconds I thought that was dumb. THEN I started to notice the metal frame, the elevation, the storage containers. The overall design was nice. I could see that the first 2 rounds were WAY wrong. They were leaving the barrel sometimes pointing left when they should be pointing forward. Those were way too light. The last ones were perfect. They flew straight the entire time. Good job! don't be discouraged by the haters. What's your fuel??
@@RemoteCamper thank you 😊 it’s been a lot of trial and error lol. I use powerstick body spray. It’s $1 a can and extremely reliable. 👍 also you should check out my other videos. I have more designs besides these. 😉
i would take the compensator off that thing... its muzzleloader, it should not be there in first place... and recoil does not matter on gun thats mounted on ground... if it even changes anything.... you would reload it 50x faster and you would have non obstructed view of whats happening after it leaves the barrel. nice job anyway, i would love to do domething similiar... i have small functional black powder canon... some larger one would be fun
Cool looking project! The darts tumble too much, I think they might be too heavy in one point, lessening the overall moment of inertia. While they certainly should be better in your design with the fat top and far away fins, I suggest trying a more of an "arrow" shape, like the APFSDS tank ones. The mass being concentrated in the forward section might make it too easy for fins to overcompensate. Good luck! :)
@ I am going to build several reloadable loading devices to load from the rear in the future. They will basically be like having several prepared shells. 😉
@urodblin I would loose power and velocity. However I am planning on building a bigger more powerful cannon one day. My plan is for it to have two combustion chambers.💥 Might take a long time before that though. 😉
I'll be waiting for the explosive ammunition just do one thing for me if you will put explosive powder on it pls make it the zinc sulphate flash powder
@@ZombieHunter-ms4uy I would love too. 🧐 I want to do plenty of research though. I don’t want to break any laws. I have several ideas for them but if it’s illegal it’s a no go. 😉

you know whats funny i just 3d printer a sabot for eggs for my potato gun... it also has a silencer :P
