You have high experience and workmanship, as long as I wish to do the same as you, but I do not have much patience. I hope that you will visit Egypt one day and host you with me.
Las marcas que tiene la base que conservaste también son defectos en el proceso de moldeo en la fundición , al igual que la parte que rellenaste con metal ! Saludos buen trabajo !
This video brought back a lot of memories. I spent 16 years re-enacting the American War of Independence, much of it serving cannons. As I watched the video, all I could think of was the loading and firing sequence. All of the cannons I served were beautiful reproductions, brass and iron. Good video....now go buy a swivel gun!
I am an old guy who just occasionally repaired a broken vase here and changed a bulb there but nothing important. Watching your channel how you are skilled and experienced I can only wish you good health and prosperity 🙏
The love and care you put into restoring and preserving these old treasures - "preserving the beautiful signs of old age", as you said it - brings me joy. Thank you!
I told my wife she should preserve the beautiful signs of old age like AR does in his videos I'm now watching Awesome Restorations from my garage on a futon because she threw me out again 😊

I looked on in terrified awe as you picked up the base at over 180 degrees Celsius with your bare hands, barely flinching. You, sir, are truly a different breed.
Yet another excellent restoration by the Awesome Martin. I love that you left the old degradations in the material to show the age of the piece. The repair of the cannon itself was on point. Keep up the good work Martin. I always anticipate your next project.
Awesome job, and yes other than Animal, Beaker was one of my favorites. Had to comment when you asked if we knew those guys. I enjoyed the work you've done and the time you've put into actually sharing the process of what it takes to restore things. Lots of prep and thought goes into the proper restoration work that most people overlook.
What can I say, Martin... Every antique artifact that you restore comes back to life. And I'm sure that whoever owned them in the past, wherever they may be, bare a smile on their face. Thank you, Maestro!!!
Well he used some weird low melting point metal to fill a giant void in, probably aluminum or some copper alloy. Whatever it was, I wouldn't trust my life on it bonding to the cast iron enough to not blow up when pressure build up behind a heavy ball. Paper and some snap rocks and nothing compared to gunpowder.
Watching you work, with all the knowledge and experience behind you is truly an awe inspiring watch. I admire your care and attention to detail as well as the respect you show for the items you work on. Great video. 😃👍🏻
You never cease to amaze me. Your attention to detail is incredible. I always read the story in the description box, so thank you for your detailed explanations.
Great job on the restoration of the antique salute cannon! It's amazing to see how it went from a rusted and neglected piece of history to a beautiful and functional cannon once again. The attention to detail and the dedication to preserving history is truly impressive. Thank you for sharing this incredible restoration process with us!..Thank you from Qatar 🇶🇦 🇶🇦 🇶🇦

Martin, since yesterday I have been binge watching your videos. You are nothing short of astounding! Think about doing a Q&A with your subscribers please!
Always fun to watch your videos, quality time well spent! Also, always liked the look of these old cannons, so it was a bonus, you could say! If you are given the chance of restoring a real-size cannon, that would bring a huge smile on your face (and ours!). Nice one (again)!
