At one time, you could find old cars like this at yard sales for like $1.00 to $5.00. Kids played with them and left them outside. Haven't been to a yard sale in years, though, so no idea.

I am not sure that I believe that there is not used a “diner” toy car. The final assembly shows new parts that are clearly not fabricated and are missing from the start. Still nice work, but I think the video needs to be honest about that. Eg dashboard. Motor parts suspension etc.
No, it forms a granular layer of white Al oxide. Though I suspect this was made of a zinc alloy, and that doesn't corrode. Ohhh ...I just got that! Good luck ;-)
Love the way you Faith the aging process. Using the paint stripper and then rinsing it off before it had enough time to fully strip the paint off. Was excellent. Like the way you Wheels halfway off and messed up the front grill to make it look like it's been sitting out outside in a dirt for years. But why don't you just show us the whole process to begin with instead of trying faking all that stuff. We would like to see it from the beginning. You can still mess it all up if you want to would, we just like to see you do it. If we're not fools we know what you're doing

Purchased this 250 Testa Rosa years ago along with other die cast models. At the time they sold on average for $35.00 🇨🇦 . This restoration is the guy’s hobby and provides for a RUclips video. You can still buy these models at a very reasonable price under $50.00 🇨🇦
Now you just need to make a little Ferris Bueller and Cameron Frye to drive it on your day off and hopefully not drive it threw a plate glass garage window 😂

This is NOT a model of the Ferrari Testarossa introduced in 1984, but it represents the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, so called because of cam covers painted in red, a tradition shared with other models. at 1:19 on the bottom, under the Ferrari logo it can be read "250 Testa Rossa (1957)"
finishing a hike in dead horse point state park when I saw a 1959 testarossa drive past me. It was a group of testarossa owners who meet every five years to drive their cars around a specific area. I went to look at the 59 testarossa and then the 57 testarossas started to arrive. one after the other. there were 6 or 7 in total. my favorite car and they were in immaculate condition. what a day.

Those are repops. The markings on the bottom are different. Hot Wheels does repops of some of their highly collectibles too, but they cost a fraction of what the originals are worth.

Ik zeg niet dat het niet mooi gemaakt is, maar noem het beslits geen retauratiie, want juist bij modelauto,s is orginaliteit heel belangrijk. Trouwens 900 dollar is 870 te duur .

this is a RUclips relevant video (mostly in the sense so that people get a better gripe of what my mechanics can do, lol.) -- the exhaust pipes didn't turn out too great, IMHO. pro tip: you've to straighten the wire before you work with it. you do so by bending one end and putting it into a vise and wrap the other end around a pair of pliers while simultaneously squeezing it by starting between the prongs.) then you use your whole bodyweight and lean back and hold the pliers like a handle of a waterski rope; when you now tug on the whole thing, it'll stretch some and become super straight at the same time. you cut the middle piece out et voilà, you've a perfect starting piece. -- this video leaves out many steps; it remains a mystery how all the non-body parts where fixed/made.
Fun video! My brother and I were rabid model builders as kids. Firecrackers ended most of their lives as they tried some death defying jump in the backyard. Why not skip the chemicals and go with a simple corn starch sandblaster? Safer for you and better for the landfill.

Probably taken from a new complete model, they're only £30 here in UK probably cheaper in Pakistan where I'm pretty sure this "restorer" resides. I suspect this "restoration" was a set up using a new model artificially aged. Still, it was entertaining to watch and I loved the custom made bits. I have no problem with this even if it was a little bit deceptive. There was some very satisfying skill involved.

Very nicely done but the dash, window, and grill aren't the same. A lot of collectors of such items would be upset with the changes.
These restorations are impossible to believe because many destroyed parts magically appear without showing how they were made or obtained.
The replacement parts come the Bburago Company that built the cars.
I guess he just figured that people would be smart enough to realize that.

For the exhaust I'd use oil pressure gauge copper line , easy to bend and look more realistic and it doesn't look like electrical wire .

As can be seen in the video at 1'20" - where it clearly says Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa 1957.
