I am not influenced to talk about any particular company, all choices are my own and I receive no commission or sponsorship to review sewing patterns, products or services related to sewing. Some of my links to Amazon may be affiliate links where I receive a small commission (usually pennies), but this does not affect the price you pay, it just helps me keep my channel going.
Cheryl, all three of these are gorgeous! Your fabrics are just beautiful as well!!
Stay Stitching thank you so much 🌷
Oooh love the simple wrap as a Christmas present idea - no fitting issues and only need a small amount of fabric, perfect!
Sarah Boddey thank you Sarah, it’ll be a fab pressie or three 😊
Can't wait to see your Kingfisher top! Looks like a great plan!
Martha W thanks Martha 🌷
There are so many things to appreciate about your straightforward videos. I was just thinking how nice it was that you squeezed in the little detail about whether the fabric you were showcasing (which looks lovely) would match a previous one you've carried. Little touches that keep us all coming back to you indies!
published1789 thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate them 💖
Hi Cheryl, thanks for all the effort and time you put into making these videos, they are so helpful. Also it is great to see your fabrics live, they are gorgeous.
Tracey Bingham thank you Tracey, your kind words mean a lot 💖

Lesley Jones thank you Lesley 💖
Has to be grey lining with that beautiful pink coating. I love the cape! Looking forward to seeing them made up x
Sew PrettyKitty thank you 💖
Thank you. I haven't come across these before and they are all good choices.
I think a dark mustard jersey would combine really nicely with the dark blue floral for the woven top.
Faydiva sounds lovely 😊
Great informative vlog yet again. Great idea for the Christmas presents. Thanks Cheryl
Landgirlafloat thank you so much 😊

You always have the best everything! (Fabrics and patterns). Your selections highlighted in this video are beautiful and I’m excited to see them completed! The wrap coat is very different, but the fabric you selected for it is amazing! Good luck with your projects!
Myra Lorraine thank you so much Myra, I appreciate your kind words every week 🌷
Addendum to previous comment - pattern for wrap and materials suggested ordered. One Christmas pressie sorted, when it’s sewn up that is. It might be the first of many. Last year it was tote bags this year could be the year of the handmade wrap.
Landgirlafloat I’m with you, it looks like a quick make too 🎉🌷

Great choices. I'm definitely going to make the Skye Wrap - I've got some boiled wool left over that'll be perfect for it :-) Jo x
thanks Jo, it's a great stash-buster isn't it? 🌷 x
I discovered your channel a few days ago whilst recovering in hospital from an operation. Oh my goodness! You’ve inspired me to sew for myself more. Ive ordered a few bits of fabric from you along with the pattern for the kingfisher top. Thank you so much for keeping me entertained 😊
Elaine Makin ahh, thank you so much Elaine, I wish you a speedy recovery 😘🌷
Hi Cheryl, great patterns and new to me bar the dress 👍. Oooooh your fabrics 💝💝💝....I'm supposed to be on a fabric ban, but that floral fabric with the navy background is soooo beautiful 😍. Might have to take the piggy bank 😉😘
Sally Dingle thank you Sally, ha ha I’m a bit gutted to part with it, but sharing the love is better 😃🌷
Great patterns and fabric is beautiful
Julia Droy thanks Julia 🌷
Lovely video. You always explain everything so well and the little tips are great. It feels (to me anyway) like I'm chatting to a friend.... thank you x
Lynn Read thank you so much Lynn, that’s a lovely thing to say 💖🐝
Thanks for this Cheryl, that's 2 new pattern companies that are new to me too, I've used the free Cake T-shirt pattern previously & love the stripy Tiramisu. The Navy Satin Viscose is stunning, I can definitely see it in a dress, maybe an Ogden cami, extended to a simple shift dress, I think you've done one before. I did one earlier this summer in a viscose & with the heat we've had would wear it every time I go out. Look forward to the next video on independents. As a heads up for everyone By Hand London are holding a 25% off sale on all their patterns until Sunday 19th August.
Sam Chandler thank you Sam, great idea about a shift dress or an Ogden, love both of those patterns. Fab tip about By Hand too 👌🏻💖
Another great video with loads of useful info Cheryl! Of course I hopped over the Cake and ordered 2 patterns - not the dress you'll be making because I don't think that style would suit me but I ordered her top and little knit jacket that looks adorable :) That wrap is lovely too! I have 2 "ponchos" I call them in cashmere knit that I bought last year (store bought) and they are made up just the same except the seam at the side is sown shut and I've thought of cloning them in other knit fabrics I love them so much. I wear them all the time in the cooler but not TOO cold weather.
Kathleen Meadows wonderful 🎉 Their patterns are so unique aren’t they? Enjoy your sewing ✂️
Great feature. Thanks :)
Amy thanks Amy 🌷
Love the wrap!
Shirley Ann Duncan it’s fab isn’t it? 🌷
Stitchy Bee I've ordered the blue wool from your shop for this!! So looking forward to making it
Thank you Shirley, the blue will be lovely as a wrap 🌷
Hi Cheryl! IveI've been looking for a pink coating fabric and when I saw your herringbone fabric, I HAD to order some! So I did! One question though, being 40%wool, would you suggest I make it up and then when it needs cleaning, take it to the cleaners? Or is this a washable fabric? Thanks again for everything!❤
Patricia Bennett thank you Patricia 🌷 I’d dry clean it after it’s made as and when needed. I can’t see any washing advice with this one, so best be safe 👍🏻
Hi Cheryl, l love your channel it is my top 5 sewing favourites!
just wondering what to do as the Cake Tiramisu PDF says it is printed on US Paper , can I use A4 or do I need to buy US paper to print on?
Cheryl I just downloaded the dress and top patterns they are lovely. I ordered some fabric from Blackbird fabrics here in Canada that I think will be wonderful for the top. Now just to find something for the tiramisu dress. Love your video so fun
Kelly Bodie thank you Kelly, enjoy your sewing 🌷
You should be able to only print the size you want??? You do need acrobat reader!!I can in other indie patterns
Crafty Kay thanks Kay 👍🏻 I think these patterns are a bit different - the bodice appears 3 or 4 times as separate pieces but I’ll have a play with Acrobat reader 🌷
If the company dont inform you when you purchase the pattern then they dont cos in the download there would be instructions
Here is a pattern website that uses stretch jersey, and their designs are brilliant (I know you will love the 'Sienna' top) www.sinclairpatterns.com
Please I dont get the name of that lovely top ???? I really wanna sew that top 🙏🏻
Annica Lundgren it’s the Kingfisher top 😃 Link is here.. thesewingrevival.com/products/kingfisher-top
Stitchy Bee on their site (which is awesome) i have just seen they have a FREE download pj short pattern, that can be made from a pillowcase, or same sized fabric! .... Thank you for the recommendation and link x
