Hi Kate - Oh how I remember those days with a sick toddler. Well done today. One of the things I love about your vlogs is that it’s like chatting with a friend over coffee, not scripted!
What I love about your videos is how natural you are. You always apologize for how you speak or whatever flaws you believe you are exhibiting. I do not see these flaws, just a very humble lovely presenter. I have not checked out the new website. I'm in US so mainly use shops here. Plus I am so far behind on my projects I must complete I don't dare get anything new. But I do love the inspiration!Love the Abby dress.
The new website is FABULOUS!
❤❤great video. I look forward to it every week!
Savoir faire is not limited to textile. It is the expression used for expertise whatever the subject
Loving the new website! Very suitably stylish! Huge congrats!
Thankyou Kate! Oh my goodness! I adore Selvedge magazine at the best of times but this edition has me torn! I’ve tried to not get magazines as I was addicted to them at one time. It’s on my wish list. 🤭🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Yes, savoir faire translated literally means “to know how to do”. Love the new website! Xx
Hope your little one feels better soon ❤
Bit torn about Fibre Mood! I love so many of their patterns. I've just made the Ramona dress from the last issue and am wearing it loads. But lordy what a palaver tracing those overlapping patterns - the blue and the green look really similar in the light of the room where I cut out, and there are /so/ many overlaps, it takes me forever even to find each piece, then I always miss half the notches. THEN you have to put on your own seam allowance, and the allowances vary across one pattern. It honestly took me as long to trace my pattern as to make the dress! Rant over. Love the Sienna dress.
You can get a subscription with 5 digital pattern picks. I hate tracing too!
@@fiberchick I only buy their digital patterns.....I'm not about the tracing life =)
Sheena Easton recorded a song called Savoir Faire in which she describes a man who is self assured, smooth and socially at ease. In other words, an expert at his “craft” 😉😊
I'm sorry your baby isn't well. The worst is they can't really tell you how they are feeling yet. Tough night, I hope he will soon be on the mend.
The Tessuti top looks cute!
Loving the new website. Was wondering if you have come across “The Sewing Revival” patterns from NZ? I discovered them recently and have been loving the fantail top and casual pants. I think they would be a very popular addition to your indie pattern partnerships :-)
Thankyou it’s , loving the modern sewing company dress . I’ve made the worker trousers and like their patterns . Glad the new website move went well … A LOYALTY SCHEME !!! - def need more patterns in my life
💜💜💜
Thanks for your selection.
Pesky me again: Savoir (to know) faire (to make). The french use know-how as a synonym. It seems this can be applied to any craft.
That Abby Dress is very pretty (esp) the ruffly one!
Great video, well done on the new website 👍 very interested in the Selvedge magazine xx
It doesn’t look like anyone with anything other than an A cup could wear the Sienna dress with that bodice
That Sienna looks hard to modify the fit. And those pleats (they’re not pin tucks) look like they’d be scratchy on the inside.
I do like the Selina dress but there's absolutely no bust shaping by the look of it.
👌💖💖💖🥰😘
xXX👍👍👍
