Arch demons actually allowed for a game break with the Crystal Shard Book a small skip in progression but you can get a normally hard mode item Pre-boss if you tried hard enough
The ones I remember were the Arch Wyvern, The Dragon Skull, The Spectral Gastropod, The Albino Antlion, The Spectral and Shadow Mummies, The Dragon Snatcher, The Dragon Hornet, The Arch Demon, and the shadow slime. When I played I never grinded for any of the good accessories so I never felt the pain of grinding through these enemies.
3:10 arch demons could drop crystal shards. the ones from hallow biome, that meant u could get crystal shards in pre hardmode. meaning you could craft phasesabers, crystal bullets, and greater healing potions in pre-hardmode

Maybe not all. The hornets, the hammer, the shadow slime, the dragon snatcher the spectral gastropods, spectral mummies, or spectral chaos element are kinda redundant, I think.
