@sockrteezbtw you can merge accessories and get the previous versions of them and you can equip them both. Like feral claws can be equipped with the titan glove.

Moon Lord being behind the background walls is so funny to me
I have only beaten Terraria once. I did not know that the Moon Lord would be obscured by walls- they did not obscure any other boss I had fought- so I fought it in my normal arena that I built with walls. It was one of the final boss fights of all time
Its really bad sometimes when you happen to coat your very large arena with walls to disable random enemy spawning

This is like making a challenge to beat the game with only one weapon, but modding that weapon to instakill anything. It would have been more interesting if you had done it vanilla until it was impossible and then added 200 accessory slots.

I don't think you can really say that contact damage is viable when you have way more defense than you realistically should, tbh

3:15 You might be thinking of player summoned bees. The bees from stuff like the bee gun and bee keeper evaporate if they touch water not regular enemy bees.

Frankly, once I saw that you had 200 accessory slots, and that you'd allow "block" based damage, I figured it was possible.
Sure it'd be slow, but the amount of survivability you can get with THAT many accessories is absurd. So long as you can get over the hurdles of time-limited bosses, it'd be a tediously assured win. It's funny too, because you could have totally went WAY further with the accessories.

No matter what I'm doing for my playthrough, I ALWAYS put the tinkerer, mechanic, and dye trader in the underground ice biome. Then Mr. Scammer is as happy as can be and the mechanic is very happy (for wire, teleporters, etc.)
@chicken_person Dye Trader is superfluous, you just need the Tinkerer underground with the mechanic, but not in the snow. I'm pretty sure the happiness effect of living near a "loved" NPC overwrites the one from a "liked" NPC. Not sure if that applies to mixing loved with disliked biomes. So I think in your case it goes [happiness = lovedNPC + lovedbiome - dislikedbiome].
@maddockemerson4603 snow is so the mechanic is happier, since she dislikes the underground but if it's underground snow the liked "snow" overrides the disliked "underground."
Also, per the wiki, the price multiplier of the tinkerer being underground with the mechanic is 0.79, whereas adding the dye trader brings it to 0.75 - and 4% is quite substantial over a playthrough of reforging
@maddockemerson4603 Just ran a test in a world I've been playing recently, and it seems to mostly check out.
I tested both selling items to the tinkerer and reforging an expensive item; and without the dye trader there, reforges were 5.95% more expensive than with him there, while items sold for 5.95% more with him there compared to without. That's actually a larger improvement than you would expect comparing 79% to 75% (which would be 5.33%), so I assume the math is simplified in the wiki.
EDIT: My original calculation was wrong, for some reason my mechanic moved one room over (I have 4 set up in my ice biome) and was no longer in range of the tinkerer. It properly changed to 75% with the dye trader there and 79% without once I fixed that. Not that it mattered for a long while since I've been crystal duping in that world, but good to know.

no armor,no trap,no weapons
(and I think the using tool to make an accessories work isn’t fine unless it is guaranteed that the tool itself won’t damage the enemy(probably just mod an 0 damage tool)
And if it is revealed that it isn’t doable then add a slot until it is

Something worth to mention is immunity frames. Because your constantly throwing sand on yourself, your essentially constantly immune to all other damage except for the occasional attack.

At 0:53 there are 205 accessories slots plus 1 from a demon heart makes 206, if every slot had a accessory set to warding that's 824 points of defense which is insanely op. If set to menacing then it's a 82.4 percent increase in damge which seems pathetic in comparison.

@randominternetuser7432 No, SwagSmasha is correct - Menacing is ADDITIVE, not MULTIPLICITIVE, so Menacing's effects drop significantly after like four

I can accept the accessories slots, but you reforging them made the "challenge" redundant. Of course you can beat the game with unlimited defense.
Yeah it kind of took away one of the other cool parts of a challenge like this, what combo of accessories to use for each fight, instead it’s just, all of them and I also have infinite defense

Yeah, In one way it did soften the challenge a lot... However, the only other alternative was using nurse spam for survivability instead. Which after doing some testing, was possible but way more repetitive and boring and would result in half the video just been money farming for healing lol
Definitely would have been much more difficult to optimise tho! Might revisit this challenge in the future :)
5:21 you did hurt a “fly” though, when you swung your pickaxe to mine the beehive, you hit the bees that came out.

I think he made that ruling and quickly forgot about it(or deemed the damage "negligible"(which would be ironic because of how little the bones also did).

I once ended up trying a similar challenge for when I was restricted to only using the prehardmode blowipe as my main weapon, but I allowed myself to use accessories. I found that you can actually nake the bone glove shoot the crossbone projectile just by swinging a coin from your inventory. Even a copper coin will work! This is probably caused by the fact that coins are registered as ammunition inside the game's code and have their own damage value, despite not being able to deal damage directly since it is also registered as a placeable block. Hope this helps!

Bro was sleeping on schackles with warding on them. 5 defense per schackle and at the time of 26:55 just filling all that up with shackles would make you as close to invincible as ever. The reason schackles are the best is because they are easy to get because you can kill zombies and plus water candles would make it even more easier to obtain

the answer is yes actually, another youtuber was able to do it (although in a much smaller video) without needing to do the defense or bee cheesing, Sorbet Cafe is their name i think
Only all player damage needs to be through accessories, those bees aren't player damage as its an enemy damaging an enemy

I actualy thought of this chalange but in calamity bc there is endgame item that makes your curser burn and dea like 2,5 k dps , but idk if it iaven posible in calamity.
Personally I think you should have done master just so it was still a sort of challenge even with the tons of defense
master would have made the defense even more effective

With that many accessories you can almost tank the dungeon guardian. What's the challenge after getting some damage and beating WoF? Getting money for reforging?
Actually, I'm wrong. You probably can tank the dungeon guardian. That many accessories can get you almost 900 defense. Use statues and you can i-frame the dungeon guardian.
Don't get me wrong I like the video but I enjoy pushing the limits of a game more than giving yourself an unfair advatage so you don't have to do much else.
I'll up the ante for the next one for sure! Tbh it was one of those challenges were at first the extra slots seemed pretty reasonable, but by mid hardmode it was waaay to op

Tip at the beginning if you dont want the copper short sword just give it to a green slime for a free town pet and if you can build a house quickly too than you can have a town right of the bat

I made sure to specify that only *player* dealt damage must be dealt by accessories to allow such freedom... You see, I couldn't figure out a way to obtain a damage dealing accessory without using external damage factors... I do wonder if there is a way though hmmmmm 🤔
@sockrteez Unlike most other bosses, Queen Bee can take damage from normal enemies. By trapping a bunch of enemies in a box, you could force her to take damage from enemies, kill her, gain access to bees, then kill Deerclops or the Eye, etc. I thought that was what you were doing the first time you went to a hive, but was confused when you didn't lol
