Love that you're both teaching the kids a work ethic and skills that will be with them a lifetime. Too many kids now days complain about having to clean their room and you've got yours doing heavy yard work.
Absolutely beautiful. The whole change from a shed on a block, to a beautiful family home, and base camp. Well done, and you can be very proud of yourselves. Look forward to the new van!!!!!🥳🥳
That’s the dream. That took me 1.5 days to watch this vid with two kids under 4. How you built that in 10 weeks with 3 kids in tow is a huge achievement. Well done.
You did very well, I built our shed home 19yrs ago when I was 26 from the ground up and it cost $60k and a further $20k over 3 more years, that included the shed and concrete and putting it through shire as a house. To keep the project under 60k now days was very well done 19yrs later than I did it and also remote! Wow stunning job, you should be very proud, you both look stoked 👍👍
Good job getting the kids to help out with renovations, they will always remember and be invested with their home. I love the roller doors on the outside, so secure. I recommend getting a caravan shower screen, one thats self cleaning. Glass doors are a pain to clean, plus you have to dry them to prevent mould. You did really well building your new home for $60K, extremely cheap! 👏
You guys smashed it! To have a property like this is a dream of mine. When you travel and camp it changes your mindset to what you really need. A simple fitted out shed on a beautiful block of land is the go! Stoked for you guys! 🤙🏼
You have turned a SHED into a COMFORTABLE FAMILY HOME...AND WHAT A LOCATION....You should be proud of yourselves and I reckon "THE BLOCK" would do well if you were on there. Awesome Job and Loved watching the Journey with this Reno.. Keep up the Great Work....
Wow what a transformation absolutely fantastic to achieve this Reno in 10 weeks, you guys should be very proud of yourselves and the kid's to of course, and everything about it is perfect.
Really appreciate your honesty in saying that renovation is not you guys. We see so much on socials where people appear to have breezed thru all the hard work e with no probs. It would drive me insane to do a reno and I was beginning to think it was just me.
Awesome guys. I've enjoyed the past two episodes a lot, you haven't fart arsed around with painfully slow updates where you don't see much progress like other tubers would. You say you're going to do something then you show it being done right away. Much better for the viewers. So great to see you living your dream, sorry you got buggered around by the pandemic and building supply stuff, I've moved my build a couple of years because it's just not viable here in NZ at the moment. Looking forward to seeing more updates on the block. Keep it up. Thes shed would look incredible painted black! Cheers.
A castle, you guys have made a castle… ahhh the serenity!! It looks awesome. Can’t wait to see what you have done with the top paddock, and the “pond”… 👍👍👍👍
Hola desde España,,preciosa casa que habéis construido en tan espectacular entorno, enhorabuena, que la disfrutéis muchísimo que seguro que así será,un gran saludo.👍👍👍
That looks fantastic! You all have done so well, what an achievement. As a painter myself a tip with the floor, i use the metal spiked irrigation shoes for lawns so i can walk on the floor if needed, works well for the bubble removing, just be aware metal and concrete make for a good slipping hazard😁. Also some broom handles will fit roller frames, just dont tell bek🤫😂😂
The shed has turned out so awesome, it’s like a big tiny house and after living in the van for 6 odd years it must feel like a palace. You both have done so well, hats off to you, even the kids learning by helping doing bits. Yes prices have gone insane for everything. A wonderful base for you all. 👍 well done.
Jack is quite the worker, so great to see kids lift there weight, muck in, team work = dream work, good one mum and dad.. this is the Australia I recognise from many years ago.. 🐨✨😎
My brother and his partner did the same thing as you a year ago. Sold house on Brisbane Northside, quit their jobs and bought a caravan. They just bought 7 acres at nanango with a shed similar to yours and are currently flat out doing it up. They are happy as Larry with their freedom. They bought a tractor with earthmoving and mower attachments! Where is your property? Thanks
Looking great as base camp and home. As you have now got the dam, you could use dam water with course filter and small tank for toilet and outside taps. Did you run any pipes around the shed for fire sprinklers? On property you need to a clearance around house and sprinklers just encase and to save all the hard work you have done. Winter is best time to do this as ground is soft.
Wow, congrats guys. Down sizing & minimising is the key. Just been through the floods here, changed our lives. You have/are achieving what a lot of people want (us).
Well done! Great layout making the best use of the limited space. It looks huge compared to the original shed. Love how you connected the bathroom to the house with the laundry. And what an uplift to that old bathroom shed! And doing it in 10 weeks in this rural remote laid-back town is amazing. Now you can lay back a bit and enjoy the view you created.
Insane how many synchronicities are in here for me with dreams my husband and I have had to seeing this and seeing that every experience we have had until now is exactly how it should have been to move into our next chapters. Thankyou for the inspirations
It is an amazing feeling doing a shed up. We did one in Cooloola Cove but we sold it. That feeling of space....lol. We are still living in our Nissan Civilian. One day a house will feel huge. Have a great rest when you have finished. The high will stay with you for a while. Where are you in Qld? We are parked at Mudjimba.
Well done Justin and Bec! Great achievement! I think considering the price of everything these days you have done well and also all the work done by Bob makes everything complete. Awesome seeing the kids helping out and learning along the way. 👌
Looks fantastic, love the blackout stove👍 Great idea putting power down the driveway (caravan sites ??) The bubbles in your floor may have been because the concret wasn’t entirely dry following washing it
Love it! Owner built a 2brm granny flat for the old lady a while back and yeah, definitely a test of ya wits! Well done guys! Stick the yard work though! Haha.
I am so happy for you that you have a base and not just any base, you have an oasis. I understood the storage dilemma as my belongings have been in storage for 18 years. I am sure I will be throwing things out when I finally get my own base. You worked so hard and achieved so much in a short space of time. Well done guys!
Amazing Guys! We recently renovated a 5 bedroom 2 living area house and it wasn’t pretty between me and misso so totally understand. Looks amazing, looking forward to watching you get back on the road
Top job. We have a base to return to at times. Only a renovated old railway cottage in a small country town but we are retired and don't have kids to consider. Love your base. Enjoy.
Thank you for your honesty Mark and I are about to renovate our home after flooding in February ~ it’s already very daunting and to stay on the same page will be a challenge ~ we r waiting for council to approve our house lift and then the fun 🤩begins. We have a hut at Lake Moogerah too that’s been affected by rain 🌧 so that’s going on too 🧚♀️ dud it freak the kids out when they saw you both in heated discussions ~ our grown up boys hate it as it’s not normally how we are ~ I say lucky we like each other ~ we too travel great together ~ J I’d like to personally thank you for your cleaning your van videos ~ we’ve (ha! mark has) followed your instructions and our van looks fantastic almost new like 👍🏿 congratulations on having a home to come back too you will never regret that! 💃
What an amazing transformation of the shed. Just enough comforts when in between trips. Love watching your travel utubes and look forward to seeing your new van.
Hey guys, good stuff hey! Folks enjoy the shed, the van etc, and locations, but the big ticket item is you, the fam, your joy, adventuress spirit and can do attitude! Thanks for sharing this part of your life with us! Cheers. (From the USA). ((Come and do a series over here before the kids get to big!!)
Amazing job guys!! We’ll done such a difference. Be amazing for spot for the kids too. When you put a pantry cupboard in the laundry, put in another bench above the washer and dryer 👌🏻 Love your channel, wife and I watch every week!!
“Fabulously wicket”… what a fantastic job, the outcome is amazing… and I must comment on the epic colour scheme absolutely beautiful just like inside your van, “ah Bec”… So congratulations to you all money well spent!! Regards Sandy toes and salty kisses
Do you have any footage of the dividing walls before you clad them, I am just starting to do exactly this slightly larger and I already decided on a corrugated ceiling I’m undecided on the steel supports that you have painted black I don’t know what I’m going to do thinking about cladding them in timber any help would be appreciated thanks. Absolutely love what you have done and the bathroom is amazing
A tip I’ve heard before for the epoxy floors is to go to the good will or something like that and buy old golf shoes then you can walk around your floor on the spikes without messing the finish, while you’re painting still.
Hey Justin the reason why you got bubble is probably that the floor was still wet and moisture has risen and formed bubbles Needs a couple of days for floor to dry before you coated
How long after acid wash did U apoxy floor all I can think of is moisture in concrete that led to bubbles an yes mate price of all building materials went thru roof when covid hit
Looks great guys, $50-60k reno, adds $100k value! Wonder how you’ll go when it’s locked up, hate for the Qld weather to ruin your work. Lights under the trees and water pump was a great idea. Huge fan of the black interior, nailed it!
Love the Reno and what a base To come back to We moved from NSW after 12 months in a van and bought in Kewarra Beach as our base and plan to continue traveling. You, Bec, and the children 👧 Are a great inspiration, love the vids. All the best, Herb and Tricia
Congratulations! What a special little slice of paradise you have created in a very gorgeous part of the world! Love how you thought outside the box during your build and were honest about the good, bad and ridiculous! As always love your work!
Absolutely fabulous guys. You will be so happy there, great achievement, and you did it your way! Looking forward to you opening it up to fellow caravaners, I will be coming. Cheers.
looking good guys ... as you say just a few small jobs to finish off and your are done ... have you considered painting the roller doors black to go with the Black and White theme ... the current old colour stands out and the black would "hide" the doors when open, anyway, you have turned the old place into a very decent base camp, cheers, Garry
As an Architect and Construction Project Manager, I take my hat off to you both. You've done and excellent job and should be very proud of what you have created in only 10 weeks. The styling is lovely Bec and Justin, is there nothing you can't do? 👋
I can't believe how much you guys have done over 10 weeks wow that is so awesome well done guys it's so cool seeing you guys in a place that you can just chillout in thanks for the vid :D

I was looking forward to seeing part 2 of the Offgrid Shed and you haven't let yourself down. What you have to that shed is great, but what you have done to the grounds is brilliant. I would rather be in Oz than Scotland. You are living my dream, and the wildlife must be amazing too.
You guys are absolutely inspiring Thank you guys for showing me how I should be living life with my family❤️ leaving nothing for the next life p.s you guys would absolutely kill it on the block.
What a great setup, wish I did something similar when my kids were young. Great job especially doing as much yourself, looks good and every bit practical.
truly our favourite two episodes ever... loved it. You've given us sooooo many useful ideas. Our dream has always been to have a "shouse" as a homebase. Well done.

10:31 “do you reckon that’s gonna hold”
“No”
Lol 😂 I’d say the same thing
I smiled from start to finish. Well done, an awesome job. I loved watching your beautiful children be involved in the process. You smashed it, Justin.
That’s a credit to youse, fine example of what’s possible as a young family and good old fashioned hard work
The shed has turned out so awesome, it’s like a big tiny house and after living in the van for 6 odd years it must feel like a palace. Yeah we love it!! Thank you.
Beautiful guys, congrats. Not many families get to do a life changing thing like that together. I’m sooo happy for you
Oh that’s lovely x
This is bloody sick! and with the current housing market I’d take one of these in an instant! the timber and the white paneling * chefs kiss *
If i could hit 'Like' 100 times i would! 🥰👍👍👍
Young Jack has certainly grown up quickly! Well done Young Jack - so willing to help Dad and Mom!😊

Hey mate, where did you guys buy your flat pack furniture from? Looks way too good to be flat packed aha. Came up a treat
Cheers mate. All from Bunnings
Really enjoyed watching the transformation, you worked so hard and love the finished shouse
Thanks mate

I never consided doing the epoxy myself. As you said, its just a shed but wow you did really well. So much easier to keep clean. Looks fab guys.
Thank you! Cheers!
What an awesome piece of paradise. Beautiful shed well done and the grounds look fantastic. Would love to live there.

Thanks mate
Congratulations on the shed and the yard work it’s looking terrific. The shed looks amazingly comfortable too.
Hi, we are doing a similar project. How did you insulate the ceiling of the shed.
Used earth wool bats between ceiling and roof sheets
You guys should be proud, this is sensational, tremendous achievement, well done guys!
Truly a beautiful project its a credit to you all just a thought camera's security its a great feeling to have a home base 😊👍🎈

Thanks so much mate
All of that in only 10 weeks! Amazing! Well done. Congratulations.
I can't believe how much you guys have done over 10 weeks wow that is so awesome well done guys it's so cool seeing you guys in a place that you can just chillout in thanks for the vid :D
Our pleasure! Thanks mate
Yep my place cost about the same on a budget - then i added a large deck which cost me about 9000$
Great achievement in such a short time well done. Regards from Zimbabwe.
Thanks mate.
We just got a two bay shed to do the same with on my parents property. If i remember correctly, it's 6x7 and will house my husband, myself, and our 9 year old son. Watching this for some ideas 🥰 dont have the extension on the side, but we'll make it work.
Sounds great! It’s definitely a nice little place to live
@TripInAVan any tips? Gonna get the main structure up and some walls then slowly do what we can.
That shouse looks mint!!! Serious effort, it's a real home, and has some sweet style. It's so hard to Reno ATM. The prices are just crazy. It's great having average, we love it. But there is always something that needs to be done. Enjoy the land.

You did the most incredible job, I’m glad you are feeling proud of what you achieved. All done now, enjoy 😊 ☺️🤩
I was looking forward to seeing part 2 of the Offgrid Shed and you haven't let yourself down. What you have to that shed is great, but what you have done to the grounds is brilliant. I would rather be in Oz than Scotland. You are living my dream, and the wildlife must be amazing too.
Well done guys looks stunning and only ten week turn around that's extremely quick for what you have achieved. Cheers
Amazing work guys, looks great! Living the dream
You guys are absolutely inspiring Thank you guys for showing me how I should be living life with my family❤️ leaving nothing for the next life
p.s you guys would absolutely kill it on the block.
That will be nice and cool for the summer.
Good job folks. Enjoy!! 👍👍
Wow what a beautiful homely shed. You all have done an Amazing job. Thank you for sharing.
Looking forward to your next adventure.
Hi Guys - It,s not a “ tiny house “ but a large tin shed, lived in one in Darwin when I was a kid - 1946 to 1951 it was the USA Army Post Office!
You should be proud of yourself your home is amazing ,good luck to you
Guys you did a fantastic job. Now kick back and enjoy. The kids look like they love it all too. Look forward to more vids.
Teamwork makes the dreamwork!!
I’m getting my unit on June 17.

Screwed to the purloins of the shed roof hey
Y'll? You guys have done an amazing transformation, well done and look forward the the next video.
Nice work mate, well done ... livin' the dream
Thanks 👍
What a great setup, wish I did something similar when my kids were young. Great job especially doing as much yourself, looks good and every bit practical.
Awesome reno, Justin and Bec!! Love the outcome, and outlook!! Now back to travelling :-)
Thanks mate
What an awesome effort and a great episode. I would recommend using decking oil on the verandah roof, much more durable
It's the perfect size and congrats on not divorcing. Hubs & I went thru that Reno mess, and we had some lively descussions!! HA. Well done!
😂😂 love that description - Lively discussion
truly our favourite two episodes ever... loved it. You've given us sooooo many useful ideas. Our dream has always been to have a "shouse" as a homebase. Well done.
That's come up a treat, well done on the shed to home, look forward to seeing the new van.
Awesome 🤩 Another hands-on family adventure 🤪 Soo happy for you guys 😝 “Enjoy the serenity” 💋✨🏡 🦘
Thanks a bunch!!
This is so awesome. You guys have given so many great ideas for traveling over the years, now with this build me and wife are seriously looking at this for our little clan. Thanks TIAV.
