Enjoyed watching our first year on the land? Our 2nd year on the land timelapse video just went live 🎉 watch it here: ruclips.net/video/_sP1b8v1AGE/видео.htmlsi=3HYloQZz3_Jub2gL
My parents bought a 50 acre farm when my twin sister and I were 6 months old. They worked full time jobs and chipped away cleaning and clearing the land and remodeling the house over decades. The hard work takes time but leaves such great memories and a sense of accomplishment and pride. My folks are now retired and still on the farm 50+ years later.
That is a lot of work and with full time jobs. Very impressive and shows remarkable resilience and dedication to the vision. How do I get to see how you got on after the first 12 months
Same! Why did they buy a caravan in such bad state when some of those left behind looked better nick I wonder?! Credit to them thought for recycling so much. I think with the size of the task, I'd have burned anything I could.
Whenever you feel down or unmotivated just look at how far you’ve come! Especially doing it whilst working full time! Excited to see even more progress guys 😊
Awe inspiring, going through all of that whilst holding down jobs. What struck me was almost every video featured rain, constant rain. I know how demotivating that can be. Kudos

They hardly are amazing or awe inspiring. Any one of millions of people would have done the same given the opportunity. Sadly not everyone gets as lucky as this.
I’ve just stumbled across your channel. Wow, you two are amazing, the amount of work you have done in 12 months is astonishing. I’m sure you feel such accomplishment. The next 12 months will bring you closer to your dream of off grid living, I can’t wait to see the progress 💜 Beautiful Wales and a dedicated couple, wonderful.
Not sure how this came up on my feed, but so very happy that it did. What an inspiration you both are! Wasn't intending to watch a 28 min video, but I just couldn't stop.... So much work! I truly hope that at some point you have the opportunity to sit and have a few minutes of self appreciation. And Emilie... not sure how you manage to look so glam whilst doing that back-breaking work! Amazing! Can't wait to see how this turns out.. thank you for sharing.
You guys have done amazingly well for your first year, so don't feel like you should have been further along. You're exactly where you should be, really well done both of you! Should be proud of yourselves.
I live fairly close to where you are and have been watching your progress and videos for some time, this timelapse video shows how hard working and dedicated you both are to achieving your dreams, you have every right to be proud of what you have done and I look forward as usual to your next video.....
I would have re used most of the wood and aluminium sheeting and the dry insulation off the old caravans, at least! It's such a shame and wasteful when it could be reusable. Good on you though for what you've accomplished 🙌 👌
@@Focusfury05 we kept alot of the wood. Didn't want the wool insulation as it was full of bugs, droppings and some black mould, and as great as the aluminium was we had no use for it, so don't see the point of keeping this gathering dust, so made more sense for us to recycle 😊
@CampOutWest when people live off grid in the US a lot of them keep what they refer to as a "Boneyard" of potential future supplies such as aluminum siding for future outbuildings, like roofing for your wood storage, old windows, old cars for parts for repairs of equipment, like that brush clearing machine that broke after 2 days you potentially could have found a part off of one of those cars to fix it, old appliances for parts, etc. And all that metal off those old chassis could really come in handy and save you a fortune in the future. This is one way people are able to afford not having outside jobs when they live off grid. Just a suggestion.
How could you both not be proud of yourselves! You are way ahead of what I honestly thought you would have been! 3 whole caravans (here we call them trailers or manufacturer home)! I am so happy for you guys!! Great video!!!
Today I have watched all your episodes from start to finish and all I can say is a big WOW, Wow for your dedication, Wow for your passion, Wow for you making sure you recycled as it's so easy to cop out. The hours and hours you both put in were amazing and you both deserve the very best in your next step. I loved both your outdoor shower and the beautiful free-standing bath my favourite. Thanks so much Edna! We are so exciting for the warmer weather to come so we can finally get an excavator onto the land and get ready to start the build!

It would have been far easier and quicker to get a few huge skips and a digger and smash everything up to chuck in landfill but you went the extra miles and recycled as much as you could. Very well done, that's so admirable. Especially as the days and rain wore on. Looking forward to seeing where you get to next.
I’m absolutely amazed at how to did all of this while still working full time jobs!! Simply incredible. Can’t wait to see what you do next. Many blessings to you. 💗🙏🏻👼🏻✝️

I have never seen such hard work...just cleaning up before start. Hats off to both of you.....I have to go and have a cup of tea now after watching that. I have done a lot of that stuff over the years and know just how hard it is....oh and the rain too...and filming it. You really a crazy pair!!!! but thanks for sharing.
You guys have broken the back of most of the hardest work clearing the land. It’s a lot of sweat equity right there and I think you have achieved so much in a year. Looking forward to the next part of your adventure. Way to go guys, ATVB.
You guys accomplished so much in a year and should be proud of how beautiful you are transforming such a spectacular place! Glad your video was suggested to me! I can't wait to see more of your adventure! ❤
Wow, I'm in awe of the two of you! Just the prospect of all that work ON TOP of full time jobs really shows dedication and determination! You must be incredibly proud of yourselves for what you've achieved!
Thanks for your kind comment, we love watching this video back to see what work we have managed to do, still lots more work to do but we are enjoying the process.
You've done an amazing amount of work in such a short time! One step at a time, and your land will take on new life! I'm certain the wildlife and people alike will thank you for removing the toxic dump of an eyesore, and turning it into something beautiful and sustainable!
You guys are so inspiring! I love watching your transformation,it's truly awesome, and you are both so lovely, Maggie is beautiful she is a pleasure to watch as well.
What an awesome project! You should definitely be proud of what you have achieved. And amazing that you have recycled so much. Keep up the good work, I’m signing up to follow your project! 🤩
It's a great video. I'm half way through. I think about all the things we've reused and rebuilt on our farm. I'm glad you recycled to a recycling center but some of the stuff felt like you could have reused later...just my two cents. It's hard to anticipate what you will use later but the metal from the chasis and metal from caravan. Any solid wood etc. Don't know if you will keep chickens in the future but that's how we built our coops. Also, it's a lot of extra work. Good job overall!
Yep this came into my mind too. Woods are really expensive in Europe since COVID, myself actually I can't afford to buy it. I'm using woods from 2nd hand if I need them for something. So much things this guys throw out which could be reused or sell to make money. 🙄
You guys are amazing! What an incredible amount of work you did. You will appreciate what you have even more with the amount of blood sweat and tears you’ve put in to it.
You're doing great! The generations after will also thank you for all that back breaking work and the extra you put in trying to recycle as much as possible. Even if collecting everything laying round and that disgusting old insulation is always fun... 😅
You should be nothing but proud of yourselves for all you've accomplished in a year. It's so refreshing to see young people who are willing to work hard for what they want instead of being like so many in your age group who want everything new and shiny and they want it NOW.
This was amazing to watch. You both worked so hard. Keep up the good work. You should be very proud of all you have achieved. Love your fur baby too. Enjoy your day. We have a blue sky here in Bristol, this morning. Look forward to seeing what you do next. 🐾❤
I’m absolutely blown away by what you’ve both achieved working entirely by hand. Fair play to you both, you’ve already moved mountains and I’m subscribing to see the next step in the adventure!
Came here from Tiktok, I saw your first ever video of when you bought the land and the algorithm bought me back! Well done to you both, amazing work so far! So excited for the future 🚀

@@therealsharps you are very incorrect. We had £500 left in the bank - bought the strimmer with our first pay from our day jobs the month after we bought the land 👍 the strimmer was £110 (it's just an SGS strimmer) and the blue water pipe was £50 ish
I’ve been thinking about living off grid in a small house for a long time. Looking at what you’ve achieved is motivating. It’s a lot of work. Recycling everything you can a a great step many people forget about. I bet you couldn’t see the end of it and lost motivation a few times. But every small victory brings you closer to your end goal.
What an amazing job you guys did. You are a great team.
Absolutely brilliant, we were exhausted just watching you both working so hard, great to see such vision and determination ❤
Some people are so resourceful! What an incredible journey. Thank you for sharing it. 🎉
My goodness what a year for you two. Well done. It will be worth it. Best wishes.
Yah well done 👍
You should be nothing but proud of yourselves for all you've accomplished in a year. It's so refreshing to see young people who are willing to work hard for what they want instead of being like so many in your age group who want everything new and shiny and they want it NOW.
You seriously have every right to be proud of what you've achieved .👍
Thanks, we keep looking back at this video when we need a little boost of morale
I don't even like tending to my own small garden. The scale of this project is mind blowing. I feel exhausted after watching it.
This was amazing to watch. You both worked so hard. Keep up the good work. You should be very proud of all you have achieved. Love your fur baby too. Enjoy your day. We have a blue sky here in Bristol, this morning. Look forward to seeing what you do next. 🐾❤
Well done you guys. What an immense effort. Keep it up.
Thankyou David, feels good to see the land improving each week.
Love ur work from tnq cairns Australia
Thank you Alison
Absolutely lovely to follow your journey.. well done 😅 I look forward to the next 12 months to see how it all develops. Good luck :)
Well done guys. Its remarkable how far you have come in such a short space of time! Here's to the next 12 months (and hopefully better weather!)😂
Thanks Matt! The sunshine looks like it's making an appearance next week, so fingers crossed our land will be dry enough to get an excavator on!
BEATING THE SYSTEM RIGHT THERE
Thanks!
Thank you so much, so kind of you 😀
Legends, What a transformation, from a left forgotten piece of land with rotten caravans an god know what else!! To a land that is going to be very happy that you to own and love it the way you do. Wish you all the best with your future plans....
It feels like such a big milestone for us to be celebrating 1 year since we made the life changing decision to sell our home and all our belongings, so we could buy a 3 acre, abandoned caravan park in Wales. We are so grateful to everyone that has watched and supported our journey and picked us up when we have been down. We cannot wait to see where the next 12 months take us and we finally start our tiny house build! For behind the scenes content follow us on instagram instagram.com/camp_out_west/

Why not use a old static caravan chassis .
@@darrelltregear756 as mentioned it's not built to the code we have to follow. They are old holiday caravans and aren't built to the new residential park home spec we have to follow
You certainly aren't afraid of hard work! Really enjoyed seeing the progress, great video.
500 quid my arse. The strimmer and pipe would have cost that. Another trust fund job ?
@@therealsharps you are very incorrect. We had £500 left in the bank - bought the strimmer with our first pay from our day jobs the month after we bought the land 👍 the strimmer was £110 (it's just an SGS strimmer) and the blue water pipe was £50 ish
Amazing what can be done without children to hold you back . Well done .
Long may it continue 😂
Great video - please delete the annoying background noise (can't call it music!) and it would be even better!
You’re fantastic and doing a great thing 💛 All the best
Beautiful job on the caravan!!!
Amazing accomplishment for just one year! Bravo! You two are an awesome example of what can be done when you put your whole heart into it! So proud of you and Blessings on your new homestead Kiddos! 🥰🌻🐛💕Carolyn in Ohio 💕
Really interesting video. Awful and unnecessary music though.
What a great job...fascinating journey. Keep going, you won't regret it. May God bless the work of your hands🙏
You did a great job. With so little tools and manpower you took down all that like professionals would. I am impressed.
Now this is a truly inspirational video .
Show what we can achieve if you put in the hard graft and you guys certainly did that !!!
Absolutely amazing ❣️🙏
I’m halfway through binge watching these now & the progress & skills you are gaining are amazing really hard work done the amount of calories a day you must have burned knocking down & recycling three caravans well done total commitment brilliant job.👍👍👍👍
Amazing work guys, honestly! I got my tiny house and land and it is a lot of work.
oh amazing! Hope you are loving every second xx
Well done guys great job 👏
Thanks Gary
Your are wonderful humans. Full time jobs and clearing your land. You should be so proud of yourselves
Really great about you people, working so hard, happy about you, good luck
