Today’s video feels like such a big milestone for us, after we made the life changing decision to sell our home and all our belongings so we could buy a 3 acre, abandoned caravan park in Wales.
We moved onto the land with only £500 in the bank, limited knowledge or hardly any tools, but we were so excited to get to work. It’s easy to feel demotivated and like we should be further along, but putting this video together has made us so proud of everything we’ve been able to get done. The biggest lesson from living in a small 20 year old caravan has been how little we need to be happy and we can make anywhere a home. We are so grateful to everyone that has watched and supported our journey and picked us up when we have been down. That first Caravan you tore apart was in better shape than the one you bought
My parents bought a 50 acre farm when my twin sister and I were 6 months old. They worked full time jobs and chipped away cleaning and clearing the land and remodeling the house over decades. The hard work takes time but leaves such great memories and a sense of accomplishment and pride. My folks are now retired and still on the farm 50+ years later.

There's 100s if not 1000s of videos in a similar vein to yours, but I've never been so captivated. A PROPER joint venture, not bloke works and woman films one-sided crap. The effort you both put in is astounding and while holding down full time jobs.

It would have been far easier and quicker to get a few huge skips and a digger and smash everything up to chuck in landfill but you went the extra miles and recycled as much as you could. Fair play to you both, very inspiring and some serious dedication! I’d have happily lent my digger for such a good cause and to save you doing so much work by hand, pulling caravans apart, clearing brush and cleaning mud off driveways is far far easier with a digger! 😮👌🏻

Thoroughly enjoyable, and you should both be very proud of your achievements. Very therapeutic seeing another couple slaving away, putting so much effort into correcting the damage done to a property. We have been through a similar process over the past 10+ years - imagine your whole property embedded with random concrete roofing tiles, bits of old cars, tyres, signs, decrepit sheds..... unfortunately some people use the environment as a rubbish tip!

It's a great video. I'm half way through. I think about all the things we've reused and rebuilt on our farm. I'm glad you recycled to a recycling center but some of the stuff felt like you could have reused later...just my two cents. It's hard to anticipate what you will use later but the metal from the chasis and metal from caravan. Any solid wood etc. Don't know if you will keep chickens in the future but that's how we built our coops. Also, it's a lot of extra work. Good job overall!
Yep this came into my mind too. Woods are really expensive in Europe since COVID, myself actually I can't afford to buy it. I'm using woods from 2nd hand if I need them for something. So much things this guys throw out which could be reused or sell to make money. 🙄
