I think Shannon deserves some credit for the things she has acheived. Sorry, but the problems with McKayla are not only Shannon's fault but Cindy & Tim's fault as well. McKayla rules the roost and they all bend down and kiss her ass as expected. She's never going to change. She's have 2-3 more kids before she's 21, and she'll still be taking money from GMA/GPA.....she isn't self sufficent....she acts like a 10 yr old.

She has had two other kids that she apparently does a good job taking care of otherwise I think CPS would get involved pretty quick. While you might have valid reasons for thinking the way you do, I do think that McKayla doesn't treat her mom right either. When McKayla got into trouble with GPA Tim, McKayla had to think pretty darn fast to make sure that she was going to see to it that GMA/GPA didn't think bad of "McKayla"...after all, GMA/GPA are still dishing out money to McKayla, otherwise why do you think McKayla asked GPA Tim to go to get the washer/dryer for the apartment? McKayla didn't lose any money on the deposit for the apartment....Tim & Cindy paid for the washer/dryer....and that made it even. I'd bet the washer/dryer cost more than $500.00 too.
If Shannon is so bad, why does Shannon go over to GMA/GPA house every day to help McKayla with Timmy (who she claims she cant' handle) & Gracelynn? One minute McKayla is bad-mouthing Shannon (on camera) and the next minute she has Shannon over to help watch the kids. OMG McKayla is 18, almost 19 yrs old and when is she going to start watching her own kids by herself? She can't take Timmy to the store, she can't take Timmy to get gas, or to get take-out food because McKayla refuses to learn how to cook.
Sorry....but CPS needs to look at McKayla....not Shannon. McKayla's not a good teen mom.....all she thinks about is her new boy friends and her tattoos.

Yes I have a 5 month old and if I or her father were yelling like that I can guarantee she would freak out and be scared! Hell, my 4 year old wouldn't be okay with that kind of yelling! My husband was watching football and yelled excitedly when his team got a touchdown and our baby got so scared and cried! The fact her baby is so calm speaks volumes to the environment she is in all the time, that woman is not stable and shouldn't be raising children. It's sad!
Her mom seems like a toxic person tbh, she reminds me of mine. Some mothers refuse to take responsibility or admit anything. My mom won't get a job, won't cook, won't clean, manipulates her kids for money constantly, and every time anyone gives her any sort of criticism she just lashes out and yells.

For the most part, those of you who are watching this and commenting seem to forget that McKayla is 18 yrs old, she's considered an adult.
Actually as far as McKayla is concerned, this is nothing new. McKayla didn't see anything wrong the basement and living with Shannon UNTIL McKayla started getting some flack from her grandparent(who are her legal guardians BTW). (or they were until she turned 18 yrs old a few months back.
Sorry, but McKayla knew there was going to be some issues when her grandparents were told about the move. After that, McKayla does what she does best....she likes to make the situation everybody else's fault but hers. Sure, McKayla wanted to be with her mom BUT she knew the minute things started falling apart when GMA/GPA, Shannon & McKayla were talking, that McKayla better think up something fast because she needed side in with GMA/GPA....otherwise, McKayla would have lost her CASH COW.
Did you notice how McKayla just clammed up? It's not wrong, but we all do things like this when we tell one family member one thing, and then tell another family member something else. Personally, I think that McKayla figured that GMA/GPA gives in to everything she wanted to do, so McKayla figured that her grandparents pretty much let her do whatever she wants to do and McKayla probably figured that in the end, GMA/GPA let McKayla move in with her mom, however, when McKayla found out that GMA/GPA were VERY upset with Shannon she did some back peddling so it would look like "McKayla" was pushed into the move. HOWEVER I think that McKayla sat there like she always does, she actually tuned everyone OUT when GMA/GPA are talking to Shannon, and McKayla was trying to come up with something to say so that her grandparents would agree to the move, and if they don't agree...well of course she's going to say "I didn't know where the $500 went, it was supposed t go for the downpayment." Maybe McKayla should have gone RIGHT to GMA/GPA's house and let GMA/GPA in on what was going on. McKayla figured without a doubt that if she pouted enough she would get her way so, when that didn't happen, she had to come up with a story that "She didn't know where the money went"
McKayla's biggest problem is that she doesn't think things through and if she doesn't get her own way, then it's someone else's fault.

As a teen mom myself I think I can say she makes very poor decisions and it will start affecting Timmy very soon since hes getting older
Chavantae Mott she complains on social media about Timmy not behaving and her not being able to cope and her grandparents having to take him. Yet she’s pregnant again with another baby while she has trouble with Timmy.

McKayla wised up & realized that Shannon is taking advantage of her. Shannon used that $500 for drugs. Shannon expected McKayla to work & pay bills. McKayla eventually needs to work, but it's unrealistic for Shannon to think McKayla can work when she has Timothy to care for. McKayla is a teen that will only find minimum wage work & she'd need multiple jobs to support an entire household. Shannon wanted McKayla to financially support Shannon & her children, which is irresponsible & selfish on Shannon's part. Shannon needs to grow up & actually support McKayla instead of expecting her teenaged daughter to support her.
ChastityChained....Right, let's be honest here for once. McKayla had no issues with going behind her grandparents back to look at the house with Shannon. In fact in the video she did about it, she seemed to think it was a great idea. Then McKayla finds out that her mom(Shannon) wants to talk to GMA/GPA.... isn't it ALSO a little strange that GMA Tim has an issue with McKayla moving in with Shannon, and when Shannon goes over to GMA/GPA''s house to talk about the move, OF COURSE McKayla is in a panic due to the fact that she's got to come up with an answer to wanting to move in with her Mom(Shannon) and so by listening to Shannon discuss McKayla's moving in with her mom it's pretty evident that GMA/GPA aren't thrilled with the idea.
I'm sorry, but whenever McKayla wants to do something that might cause friction....it's someone else's problem BUT McKayla's. In another TLC video McKakyla's sitting on a couch and talking about the move etc, and she says " I'm 18 yrs old, they can't do anything to stop me."
WOW....Personally, I agree with GPA Tim that it was like a spit in the face. Of course, he felt that way. The poor guy has been raising kids forever. Not that he seems to think it's a problem, but when will GMA/GPA retire? At the rate McKayla's having kids, Tim will be changing his great-grandkids diapers while he's laying in his satin-lined casket. McKayla has the perceived notion that GMA/GPA have raised her, however, McKayla's the one that makes the rules in that house and has been since she moved in at 4-5 yrs of age. I feel really sorry for GMA/GPAA Cindy and Tim. Sure all grandparents love seeing their grand kids bu just when is it going to be GMA/GPA's time to retire?

I don't think the GPA was drinking 1-2 beers/wine a day. Livers issues are normally the CAUSE of a lot of daily drinking. OF course, there are people who have liver problems that don't drink, but it has been established here that GPA Tim is an alcoholic. I think the majority of children of alcoholics who get into drugs do this because they see all the drinking issues in their own homes, in IMO....which is okay. Everyone has an opinion....like everyone has an As*hole right? We all have one.
Many addicts decide others are addicts as well . Guess they think they are experts . She is still on drugs. To keep her from using opiates. They are just as addicting as coke. She could have lost that last baby to the system . The kid tested positive.

It's a drug addict victim thing. I know someone who was a meth head that tried to compare his gf smoking pot to his meth use. I told him it's not comparable by a mile. And she doesn't smoke every night he was dependent on that drug. Because she wanted him to get clean he tried to do the exact same thing bring up the last time she smoked weed.

Shannon is yelling at her parents because they don't think she is good enough for McKayla but she doesn't realize that has nothing to do with it. McKayla's grandparents are able to provide for McKayla and Timmy and unfortunately Shannon cannot (as she wants her to pay rent because she can't afford the place otherwise). If she wants to be a good mother she needs to understand that she cannot financially provide for her daughter, and therefore she's better with her parents and not her

Coming from a kid who has had to live in 11 different houses in 12 years because my mom was a drug addict and I want to go back but when I do something happens and I'm taken out of her home and put back with my grandparents who truly love me and care for me. I know my mom loves me but she can't be a mom until she gets her life together.

I am so glad McKayla decided to stay with her grandparents they have been great at raising her and her child. Her mom sounds like she has some serious issues. Shaina White you are right, most 17-18 yr old girls usually don't have bills, however, just prior to giving birth to Timmy, GMA/GPA signed a lease for McKayla to get a car. Actually, now that she's pregnant again, she wants a bigger SUV. I'm sure she doesn't understand that when you sign a lease and if you want a bigger auto before the Lease Term is up, then you have to pay the remaining payments. For the most part, I usually lease the cars I want. I do know if you want to get rid of the car you are now driving, you are expected to pay the remaining payments until the lease is over. Some dealerships offer "Early Termination" leases occasionally. To be honest the Chevy Dealership in my area is offering you to bring you lease into the Chevy dealer and the dealer agrees to pay off the lease so you can get into a newer car.

She's a bit manipulative too, playing the innocent girl being used, but when the grandpa said that move with her mother was a bad idea she was really cold and insisted saying that living with her mother would be better without think about the grandpa's feelings.
