This is just generation after generation having kids in their twenties (and younger).. her grandparents are also great grandparents to her daughter and they are not even 60 years old! I'm so in shock.. being a teen parent is one thing but then at least prevent your child from being a teen parent as well... break the cycle...
Twenties? Lol that's a normal age to have kids. I mean 20 is a little young, but 23 and older isnt too young
You do not need to be 60 years old to have a son/daughter
If you pay attention at their ages you will see that their ages vary from 16-20 when they had kids so that's what I meant with twenties and younger. I think the conception of young depends on where you are from and social circumstances, but to me under 25 is still young.
larissa jajajajaja .... 23 is still very young to have children.. life is about being yourself too. A young girl turns 18, finally adult and able to do adult things. Her late teens and 20's are time for fun and life, a career, a home, relationships, partying etc. life isn't about rushing from your childhood into parenthood. I'm 50 now, kind of lose my late teens/ early 20s to illness, used the rest of my twenties to become me... not someones daughter or mother, there isn't any other time in your life for that. I married at 33, first child at 37, second and 39 and we'd have the time and money to allow our girls to do things with their childhood and will be able to support them in the future. Absolutly not one regret!
If I'm going to move, it will not be with someone else. Especially, when I'm doing just fine where I am at. Maybe it's just me but I would always prefer to be out on my own.
Timber Wolf guessing from the video I feel she never really had a relationship with her mom and her mom also had a new child so it would be good if they lived together, to me it would feel like friends more than a mother daughter relationship

That chicks mom definitely got the opiate raspy voice and something ain't right about her, her grandparents really care for this girl and are genuinely heartbroken that she's chosing her mom over them after all those years they took care of her, I mean I get that you want a relationship with your mom, that's normal but I think she's better off with her grandparents and just get to learn to know her mom a little more but that's my opinion, and who am I to say what's right or wrong, just hope that little boy is in the best situation he can be...happy little fella,
Her mom is in recovery... and I think that makayla is only trying to move in with her mom cause she thinks her mom will let her do whatever she wants... no rules or expectations plus she thinks the mom will watch the kid.. makayla would have guilt tripped her mom into doing what she wanted...
What happened to science education in secondary school and discussion by parents about the origins of life, the paleontological record, meiosis, FSH, ovulation and contraceptive options, "just in case"?
Bob Bruce my girls are well aware of this already. They are aged 11 and just 13... they know they get one chance to enjoy their lives and to develop their careers, and get to live truely independant lives. Those days hold such amazing memories for me, i met my husband at age 33 and began that stage of my life. Childhood and teenage years are about being themselves, not just moving from one family to creating another... have a life to enjoy first, time to be themselves!
This woman was crying in EVERY single interview. I LOVE Mckayla but her mom was kinda annoying 😅

How come government allows teen marriage; I mean at 14, yes that is real empowerment. At least in my country the age for the marriage of a girl should be more than 21.

mckayla really needs a wakeup call. What a horrible thing to make her mum pay for a house deposit and the rent, all for nothing. Her mum tried her best to get to be with her but mckayla just swapped sides halfway through. people change and even if her mum didnt give her the best childhood, she needs to get over it so she can be the best mum for timmy.
Best mom for Timmy? When is that going to happen? She can't handle him and he is what 15-16 months old? She is constantly saying how hard it is to take care of Timmy....so what is she going to do with another baby? I think the grandparents watch her kid enough. You can tell that they aren't happy about it.
Her mom a lost cause
Her mom didn't pay for the deposit lol. I know this was 5 years ago but I've watched the episode today and the entire point of all this was that her mother wanted her to move in with her just so Mackayla would pay her bills. Even the deposit was paid mostly by Mckayla. That's why her grandparents, Caelan's mom, and Caelan himself didn't want them to live together, it was very clear the mother wanted to exploit her 16 year old daughter. Let's not forget that by this point Mckayla wasn't technically working but she already had money from unexpected season 1 (as little as it might be, it's still money).
