I knew better than to not listen to my step mother. My dad would back her up in a heart beat. She usually left disciplining me to him but would step up if needed. She was a great step mother and took care of me like she did her own children. Lily and Lawrence don't have to agree but they need to come to a decision together and present a United front to Aaliyah and LJ. Aliyah needs to learn that Lawrence is one of the authority figures and to follow his directions.

This relationship is not going to work, the daughter needs boundaries and structure. She is old enough to sleep in her own room put in a baby monitor and cut the apple into slices and sit her down at the table her hands are going to get very sticky and ruin the new couch.

This title is so misleading. Where did he express that he expects her to be a maid? I don’t really care for Lawrence but Lillly does whatever she wants whenever and however she wants to. She doesn’t listen to him at all. Yes, he has expectations but she most certainly isn’t following anything (not that I blame her). I often wonder how the heck they are making their relationship work. He is so aggressive and gets angry quickly while she is so laid back and honestly doesn’t care about a thing. I don’t get it.
He hasn't been allowed to really had a say Lily does what ever she wants and her parents back her so I don't think he doesn't care I think he thinks his opinion doesn't matter and that she doesn't appreciate him which is exactly what I see to. Plus she's home all day she should keep the house cleaned and make dinner I don't think that's being a maid. He scoffed when he noticed she didn't make him a coffee and proceeded to talk about not liking toys on the floor when they have two kids. I think a quick fix to Larwence's problem with the bedroom is simply to get a nicely priced comfortable airbed and then sleep in the second bedroom until the kids "adjust". Let her keep the beds in there as long as she wants, and he can have a bedroom to himself in the meantime. If she has to deal with the kids by herself, trying to get them to sleep every night, I feel that she would change her mind in a week, two tops.

No, Lily needs to take on the role of being a traditional woman. That is what Lawerance is asking lily to do. He just confirmed that he is the highest earner of the household by confirming paying the entire rent to keep a roof above Lily's and his kid's head. Lily is expected to take on the household chores and making sure the children are fed and taken care of. He doesn't have the time to take on the Traditional Housewife role plus be The Provider role at the same time. That is exhausting and can't be done at the same time. Most of us can already tell the relationship is a shitshow already. This is why kids can't be mothers/fathers in their teenager years. They both were very ignorant and not ready to take the responsibility.

They were actually VERY excited each time to sleep in thier new rooms. And yeah, cats get very uncomfortable in new environments and apparently need to get adjusted in a small space with things they know (old toys old bed etc).

That’s compared to people who have similar jobs that a stay at home parent does. It’s her house too because if it wasn’t she wouldn’t live there or do anything and most apartments make all adults be on the lease making both have equal rights to be there regardless of who pays. Another reason would be why would she work to just pay for childcare if no family would watch the kids?

I'm a minimalist and I have a four bedroom house with two bedrooms empty as I moved from a two bedroom to an actual house. I refuse to own a lot because this type of situation.

But rent is free. I just use the extra rooms to foster animals for the local shelter until they can find a family. I just always hated the idea of having a ton of stuff. I like the idea of being able to pick up and leave easily as I have done that most of my life.

The fact that little girl doesn’t Listen to her father at all didn’t sit right with me. When she was eating that apple on the couch and he told her not to and she did any way that made me want to first take it from her then tear her little legs up. Lilly needs to do better in correcting her daughter when she’s not listening. That part pissed me off so much.

I don't have kids but is it normal that your kids sleep with you in your room? My cousin let's her son sleep with in her bed and I slept on my mom's bed till I was about 10.. my dad would always get mad about it and ask that I go back to my room and I thought he was just cruel.. so what's normal what's not? It's going to be hard because you have a "do as I say, not as I do" attitude. Kids don't automatically follow rules. They have to learn it, so you have to say it again and again. If he wasn't so lazy and realized his responsibility now is his kids, he would walk her over to the kitchen while explaining the rule, and he would pick up the things that make his head explode instead of asking a fulltime mom of a new born or is fully prego, especially if she's your baby mama and you want a close family, not a dictatorship.
Did we see the same clip? He was straightening up while she lays on the couch in her pajamas yelling for him to get the door. A newborn is 3 mo and under and she is not a new mom, she needs to get her ass up and clean and discipline her child since it seems she doesn’t see him as an authority figure. Especially if she’s not paying any bills, if you want to be a SAHM you need to take care of home!
