I am actually concerned for their acceptance of his abusive behaviour. It, and their unwillingness to stand strong for Kylen and her son's health as medical professionals, is scary. This isn't a normal situation. This is a life threatening one, and will only get worse the longer the abusive partner is allowed to abuse. Aren't they mandated reporters? Surely they could have/would have been obligated to have taken further steps to help care for her and the unborn child? So scary.

A lot of folks reject cervical exams because they can cause infections and are painful so there's other ways to see if labor is progressing, but i guarantee hes the type who just doesn't want someone else's fingers inside his girl

I wish those nurses would have advocated for her more and her wants more. I know they were trying to be considerated but at that point someone needed to speak for her and with her. Not him.
The problem is, as the victim of his ab@se, it's very hard to seperate them to get her alone without his influence. All she has to say is "I want this" and the nurses will abide by it. But she insists on him remaining and influencing her, and there's only so much they can do other than try and guide and support her.
The midwives not calling an ambulance is gross negligence in my opinion.
But they cannot do anything without their permission. However I wish in these cases once the baby is born, they can take the child away.

Wow. She is in for a rude awakening. He is going to either A. Be a horrible father or B. Not be around at all. She would probably be better off not having him around at all… It drives me crazy that he keeps trying to rush her. The baby will come when it comes. You can’t make her hurry up because it’s an inconvenience to him.

He is the poster board of why kids shouldn’t have babies. Especially little boys that don’t know anything about pregnancy. They both could die if she doesn’t go to the hospital and make sure everything is ok. Home births are great as long as the birth goes smoothly, but like the midwife said. When other things start to happen that could cause both of them harm. It’s time to go the hospital.

In the UK, if health care professionals saw a case like that they would report that very quickly and start making referrals and do everything they could to safeguard the mother and baby.

Yeah my mom told me about it and even though I was a small baby because I was the first I caused a tear and unfortunately my ambilical cord was short so they had to pull me out of my mom and my belly button was bruised when she tried pushing me out multiple times

But Xavier is an old and honorable name, not something made up outta nowhere, and respecting your child includes respecting his name.
