This is by far the scariest TLC episode I have watched. This man child is literally dangerous.

This guy is bad news. I don't usually watch these shows, but seeing Jason's attitude and hearing him talk sent up a whole bunch of red flags. His emotional process is seriously flawed if he's prioritizing what he wants above what his very young girlfriend needs while giving birth. Labor (especially first time) is hard enough without being bullied and accused while you're in the middle of it.
I hope he gets help.

1. The epidural did not affect her pushing like he insinuated
2. It can take up to 3 hours to push out a baby especially if it’s your first baby.
3. Most babies come out with a cone/football head it’s nothing that the hospital did.
4. I appreciate the staff for standing up for Kylen against him.
5. He seriously needs to grow up now that he is a father..

Given the head was stuck, the head can change shape a bit as it is stuck in a poor position. As long as it isn't too bad, it can resolve itself and helmets can be used in bad cases.
I like to joke that vaginally delivered babies look like they earned life. They’re usually the ones that look lopsided while c-sections typically have the nice shaped head 😂.
That's no real father. He needs to go back to hanging on the street corner and get out of everyone's way.

One thing I gotta say for Kylen... at least she has all this evidence to show her just how abusive he was for anytime she struggles in the future after leaving him. All I had were my unreliable memories of all the things I did wrong because that's what my abuser drilled into my head. I also truly hope that as he grows he looks back at this with disgust in himself.

He didn’t like being kicked out of the hospital because he wasn’t close enough to control her. I think she wanted her mom in there but just needed plausible deniability, she called her mom and let her know what was going on but needed it to show that she kept telling everyone including her mom that she only wanted him there, if her mom went up I think she would have been relieved. This boy is also now about to control her by way of holding that baby hostage.

@@lifeoflw84 See, that’s what manipulative people do. They break you down and make you feel like THEY are the ones that you have to please and love, and it’s hard to leave sometimes. She needs to wake up and realize what’s happening and that it’s not best for her baby. You can add the same argument to the parents who allow this manipulative behavior continue. She doesn’t love it, but she defends him because she doesn’t want to lose him. Plus with a baby, she would then be a single teenage mother.

The fact she wanted this creep over her own mother during her labor process even after all his abusive behaviour towards her shows how lost this girl is.. and the fact they have a baby too care for is actually horrifying. Her parents failed her and his parents failed him and them having a child is a recipe for disaster.
It bothers me that this is one of the only comments discussing just how unsuited to parenting BOTH of these people are. The guy is an absolute d***, but she chose to have a child with him, let him make all the decisions, exclude the mom from the hospital, etc. I’m not blaming her for his behavior, but neither of them should have been allowed to take that child home after how they behaved at the hospital. It’s disgusting that TLC (which actually stand for the learning network) thought this couple was the perfect family to document for public viewing. NO ONE should look up to them for any reason, or in any way view their relationship as healthy or normal. How our society went from idolizing Mr. Rogers to crap like this, I will never understand.

Kylan literally has the sweetest parents I have ever seen. The fact Jason is pulling her away when her father isn't doing so well health wise is heart breaking. Just sad.

They know their daughter is in an abusive relationship, and now their grandson too, and they’re letting it happen. She’s a child, they CAN do something.

But parents can only do so much...When I was 12 I ran away with two other girls to a city 3 hours away, we hitch hiked, we got picked up by some pe rv ert truck driver, who threw us out of his truck in the middle of nowhere when we wouldn't do what he wanted, we were so lucky that something horrible didn't happen to us. My parents cared, they tried doing anything and everything to control me but I did whatever I wanted.

People think the face of a battered woman is covered in bruises and scars. The interview on the couch shows what a battered woman can look like.
Reminds me so much of this woman I saw on tv years ago. Her name escapes me but she was married to this abusive man and had four children with him. He made one of their kids film him belittling this woman, accusing her of not taking care of their children the “right way” in his eyes and him constantly twist her words around. He then started slapping and punching her but luckily most of that abuse wasn’t shown because the kid filming it was freaking out and couldn’t look at all. One day, the woman had enough and while at work, called her husband and said she wasn’t coming home with the kids at all. She called the cops and luckily, her boss was there to back her up. Her boss was called her guardian angel because every time she’d come in with a bruise, black eye, etc, she’d write it down in this book she had in her desk documenting the abuse she was enduring from her now ex-husband. He got sentenced to over 40 years in prison for what he did to this woman and now, this woman goes around the country giving speeches to local law enforcement facilities on how to spot domestic violence and abuse situations.
And for all we know, she could be wearing really good concealer

I think she will regret so much how she treats her parents during this time. It hurts my heart for her. She’s young, & thinks this is “ love” or whatever. She is in active labor and he is like “oh shop being dramatic you are fine.” Later on he gets kicked out and is in the parking lot yelling at her like “pay attention to me im the one that’s hurting not you because I can’t be there!” He is something else
You can tell by looking at Kylan she’s very uncomfortable being around him but desperately wants him to act right for this special moment they will never have again

I have spent my entire life being a victim of violence. She shows every single sign of domestic violence and abuse. They she glances at him looking for reassurance in what she says. Also the way she fidgets her fingers to focus her fear so she doesn’t give away too much to people. And of course the fear in her eyes and face when she spoke up to him that one time because she knew she was gonna pay for it later. I hope she escapes him.

@@gemineye.444 Her life may not be ruined, but it is forever altered by this. Babies oftentimes legally trap you in a marriage. My family and I went through this; our mom refused to leave our dad because she knew that she could not guarantee full custody of my sister and I, and without her around to be his punching bag, he would turn to us. Judges don't care about kids' rights, they prioritize parents' rights. It's disgusting but it's how the system works. But of course, we likely won't even get to that point because this girl might not ever get the bravery to leave.

You can't force someone to leave an abusive relationship. They have to choose to go. Even the cops can't make a woman leave. She has to verbally state the she needs help to get away.

I don't think this girl realizes she's in an abusive relationship. This relationship is gonna go so badly. I'm afraid this is gonna be one of the stories we all hear about on the news. I don't know about his parents but it don't seem that her parents know how bad it is. I like the producer that called him out saying Jason didn't want Kylen to get the epidural cause he claims of drugs but that he vapes. Also he still doesn't care how bad this birth could have went without the epidural for Kylen.
It's sadly sometimes about control. But, here's the thing. They weren't legally married and in most states, the father has no paternity rights unless he signs the papers.

I feel so bad for her . I was recently in the same situation. My ex was so abusive , I also got pregnant. There was a situation where I had to get vaginal ultrasounds every 2 weeks (incompetent cervix ) , and I came home home from an appointment. He grabbed me up saying I was fucking the doctor . I left him a week ago , and let me tell you I've never felt so free and alive . She needs to RUN.

I'm confused on why she wouldn't want her mom to help her give birth but wants the man they had to kick out of the hospital smh. She must be real young because that makes no sense at all.

I had my mum at both births of my boys, one for support and two to help my husband if anything went wrong .we had hospital births but my hubby can be a bit of a hindrance in an emergency. It also helped me be sensible and be more logical as my mum has always been helpful in keeping me grounded in times of stress. Not to mention she helped in the delivery of two of her several siblings and physically caught her youngest brother as he came out of their mother ( she always joked that if she hadn't turned around to check on her mum , he would have been born in to the bucket at the end of the bed ,they were using for hot water. )my mum would have had to help me deliver my youngest if the ambulance hadn't arrived on time ,due to him being 4 weeks premature.
He's abusive, she wants what he wants so he's nicer to her. If she involved her mom, he would be even more mad.
The reason she asked her mom not to come is because she knew he was going to do that. She knew he was going to throw it back in her face later if her mom went into the room while she was delivering.
This brings me back to my longterm abusive relationship and I couldn’t see the absurdity of it until I was out of it. It’s been 3 years and I’ll still come to the realization that something he did that he said he did out of love was only out of abuse and control and manipulation. This is the same exact scenario except I would say just from these few clips is that he’s 25x worse. I hope she finds someone who can talk some sense into her because clearly her parents aren’t doing it and her friends are probably in just as abusive relationships themselves. Get out. Get out get out get out. Don’t sacrifice yourself for someone who wants to use you without remorse.
Obviously she has very low self esteem or else she would realize he's no good and he's blaming her the whole time I never seen such a terrible human being like him. I am shook.

@@shimmer4771 Thats a valid point I dont know if he threatened to hurt her though. But the way he acted it can happen. there are people willing to help to support her and helpher it seems. She is not alone. I've never seen such narcissism in my life though I've had a controlling them before I know what it's like but to that degree I don't think I would ever be able to tolerate that
@Shimmer that's why we need masculinists to stop shaming and harassing single moms. They're encouraging women to be with abusive partners just because those partners are males. No empathy for the woman and the child whatsoever.

Yeah that spark is gone! Completely. He killed that spark. She is very insecure, u can see it all over her face. She looks at him before she speaks as if she needs his approval and when he was belittling her she kept her head down and tried to hold back the tears. She is completely broken at this point. I know how this feels. My ex was exactly the same and I was around her age as well. When u are this young u don't know better.

I saw the episode where Jason's dad , recognized that Jason isn't right. That he lacks empathy, and is possessive and controlling. That was sad , because you saw the pain it caused his father. It's strange to see how wrong someone can become when all the evidence shows they were raised with love and raised well.
