I'm genuinely shocked that the hospital didn't file a report against him and have him/them investigated.
they can only do that if they have direct evidence that a child is in danger. with adults, they can only do something about it if the person they suspect is being abused tells them they're in danger.

He comes from a family of drug addicts and cause all the women in his family didn’t get the epidural so he wanted her to go natural but at some point during labor. Her body reached the point of exhaustion and the midwives at the birth center wanted her to go the hospital and get fluids and an epidural so she come rest but he was dead against and was absolutely clueless on how labor and delivery really works

I work as a nurse. It would have been 5 minutes in and he would’ve been escorted out by security. I wouldn’t have entertained that. She is of sound mind and body, fully oriented. She’s the patient. She is legally protected to make her OWN choice. He’s not the patient. This was a HUGE failure on the medical staff! What if the baby began to go into distress because moms body was giving out? Then what? You barely have minutes to make an emergency c section happen to save both lives. TLC is disgusting and so are the staff at that hospital.

What if that did happen, and she needed to get the epidural anyway to numb her body from the surgery. Was he just going to argue with the medical staff and say, "No, that is drugs. She will be fine without that. Give her the c-section with no drugs." Medical staff wouldn't allow her to go without pain relief from surgery like that because she can literally go into shock and pass out because her body wouldn't be able to handle the pain.
Exactly why are they still going back and forth about the epidural. The minute the patient requested it the nurse could have given it to her and ignored Jason. His ass should have been thrown out of the hospital

He's uneducated about epidurals. He doesn't even know how they work. They don't contain additives. It's not harmful to the baby, but she could've died. 27 hrs. in labor! That's insane! No man would ever hurt a girl like that, ever.

Most victims of domestic abuse don't have the "benefit" of bringing footage into court showing the true nature of their abuser. You can post your "ffs emoji" all you like, but it's not going to change the reality of court hearings, ESPECIALLY in family court.
She won't. she has low self esteem and he knows how to exploit that. He isolated her from her family so she is dependent on him. I don't see why her parents don't either charge him with kidnapping her or abuse or file for a restraining order.

It's really disturbing to me that you can listen to someone screaming and crying with pain and sit there belittling and insulting them instead of being even a little empathetic. I think he latched onto the epidural as a way of controlling the situation -- it's not about keeping the baby safe, it's about making himself the center of attention and feeling like he has control over the birth.

Omg I was literally crying for this young woman. I wanted to reach through my phone and slap him for the disrespect he was showing to the mother of his child and the nurses. He clearly doesn't care about her welfare at all. Yes, I too had a birthing plan and unfortunately it had to be changed some and my husband never gave me a hard time like Jason did To Kylan. He was PERFECTLY okay with me getting a epidermal if I needed it.
I've been in situations like that you have to advocate for your patient, and make sure you make clear to whoever is getting in the way of their care who exactly your patient is and your concern is for their health and well being she did an excellent job doing that.

Unfortunately she seems to be comfortable where she is. Other cast members have talked about them after the tell all and stuff. Her family tries to be there for her but she was always with her bf and his family. His dad seems abusive as well. Many of us think that there is something going on with her family as well which is why she stays with him, just sad.

At some point in his life, he'll need a tooth filled for a cavity. There's no doubt in my mind, he'd be able to tough it out without Novocaine to numb the gum area surrounding the tooth. She has a tough road ahead of her.

My crown came off and when I got it replaced the local anesthetic wasn't work as well as it was supposed to and it was painful 😫 thankfully I got another shot and it was smooth sailing from there. Jason needs to get dental work without being numbed.

The same thing happened to me, I was transferred from a birth center to the hospital after 16 hours of labor and only dilating 1 centimeter. The epidural allowed me to sleep and have relief so I could give birth about 12 hours later. I would’ve thrown hands if my husband acted like this guy! The lack of empathy is so disturbing

1) he should be removed from the room and 2) TLC needs to adjust how much onscreen time he gets or start putting up disclaimers about his behavior because he’s abusive, manipulative, controlling and narcissistic. Someone has to speak up and help this girl, all the adults around her are failing her and he is going to end up raising their son to hate and abuse her too.

I am actually shocked that this is real! Personally, I tried for a natural labor and finally had to get an epidural. My labor went 24 and a half hours long, after my my water broke. It was excruciating. I can not imagine what it would have been like to have this hateful kid trying to tell me what to do during labor, when he was so clueless about the importance of being able to rest enough to safely push out a baby after that many hours! I was seriously cheering for this girl for finally listening to her own mind and body, instead of listening to that complete jerk! I am thankful I had a real man by my side who had cared about me and our baby during my labor. Thank goodness for the good men in the world!

You're absolutely right, the entire time that girl was fighting against the pain and the fear of what her jackass boyfriend would think. But at a certain point, it's not just your mind telling you that you need help... we had to evolve with the knowledge of what to do to survive childbirth and I can't even begin to imagine how utterly horrible it would be to literally have your mind and every cell in your body screaming at you to do something to save your baby and yourself... while the father of your baby, the only person you have beside you at that moment, threatens to just abandon you if you do it. Absolutely heartbreaking!

It was heartbreaking to me that the nurses allowed him in there to say those abusive things to her once they heard him the first time-they should have had security haul his whiny ass outside. Also heartbreaking that she had no other support, a loving, caring person to put her needs first, in the room with her. Lastly, he needs to be kicked to the curb.

I don't even think it was about being uneducated (even though he is) about the epidural. He wanted to control everything. His girl probably gives into every whim of his, just like his folks probably. Now he's dealing with his girl talking back to him and adults putting him in his place. The adults main focus is mother and baby not him and he couldn't take it.

They don't need his consent. Have these people lost it? He's not her legal guardian. Its not his body. My blood pressure went up when giving birth and they kicked everyone out. I could've fought it and said I wanted to keep visitors, but these doctors were adamant I needed less chaos on the room and they meant it. So why are these people entertaining this slug & letting him talk?
Hearing her screams of pain while he is controlling her and denying her right to get an epidural makes me sick. Cant help but cry hearing that. And he has the nerve to call her pathetic. He's heartless.

He doesn't like hospitals because there are people there who can witness how bad he treats her, which makes it harder for him to abuse and manipulate her. "They only care about her", I think that statement with this video blows threw the entire DSM5 and directly just diagnosis him as someone with low functioning NPD.
This is so heartbreaking to watch, he is an absolute disgusting monster to be hearing her scream in agony in the background, and continue to emotionally abuse her and not let her get an epidural. Honestly, there needs to be a law to put people like him in jail and take away their parental rights.
And he’s stressing her out so bad. If he really cared about that baby he’d listen to her body. It’s like he wants her to be in pain. And doesn’t realize he could have killed that baby.
My wife just gave birth and had an epidural. Helped her a lot to have a healthy safe birth for our daughter. It was never a question for me. Whatever she needed I agreed with. This guy literally is a child. 18 years young. Wish her well!

I am a former domestic violence and rape victim, which may I add i managed to escape, remarried and been happy and safe for 17 years and counting. This young childish man is displaying controlling narcissistic behaviour. He he isn't controlled, he will only get worse. I actually worry for this poor girl. I think she did amazingly well, she tried her best. Its not her fault that the birth did not go to plan. Sadly babies and mother nature decides how things will go, not us. He is so immature and dumb and has no idea what he’s talking about 100% of the time! How could they just film this?!? How could they not step in!

What a terrible boyfriend/person. Forcing her to be in pain when they’re literally saying that she’s exhausted and won’t be able to push the baby out without an epidural. It’s her body, she’s the one going through the pain. Not him. I can’t believe how he was degrading his partner while she’s in labor. What a manipulative and awful person.

This nurse handled it like a champ. Speaking as a mom of 2 boys that were birthed naturally it is not easy. I was blessed with both labour's lasting only 4 hours. This man infuriates me. It's her body and her choice. Somebody please hook this little boy (and yes, he's a little boy) up to one of those simulators and make him go through 25 hours of labour and try to sleep through it. I understand his concerns, but he is putting her at risk.

Not all epidurals have narcotics, and they would be minimal if they did. The meds in an epidural are for spinal block. They don't stop your brain from feeling pain. They stop messages from being sent up the spine.
