      @@mravocadoman2904 I spent $1200 on my first car, it was a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege, had a turbo and was a 5 speed, worst and best decision I ever made and wouldn't do it differently other than keeping the car because I could've fixed it up and it'd be a race car right now. Im 21 now, I got that car when I was 16, I've had 4 cars since so ig for long term ownership Im not the best for advice but most of my cars have had 190k+ miles except the protege which was at like 136-7k, just had boost issues and would have electrical surges; after replacing the clutch and transmission that I blew doing a burnout at school, lighting everything up bright as shit and popping headlights/taillights when hitting boost it was a shit show. I got an Impala now making 305hp and its amazing ngl, thing smokes most cars Ive pulled on.

      JESUS CHRIST died for you in a cross for our sins. 3 days after his death he resurrected and is The LIVING GOD. Repent from your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior in a prayer and also ask for the HOLY SPIRIT to come into you in that same prayer as well. You could come to Jesus Christ as you are, but once you accept Him, you have to become new, change, and be born again, and also turn away from your wicked ways. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. God Bless You.

      I agree with this, but cant help to feel like people like this aren't really and fairly appreciated... it's always a thank you and forget you a week later. That's why I feel its only fair to give donators write offs.
      In poor countries a donation like this would have you be a family friend for life, but internet and modern money makes ppl feel this stuff is more normal and becomes undervalued.

      It was a solid vehicle with just regular maintenance needs aside from the turbo replacement. $15,000 is a major overstatement, but I don't think that matters. What matters is that the family got a fantastic, reliable car when they needed it most.

      I doubt he will see this, but something I never see any mechanic do that at least I believe would be beneficial, is push the old bad fluids out like the old oil, transmission fluid, etc. A perfect example of why you'd wanna do this is right in this video when he checks the transmission fill level, a bunch of old black gunky liquid comes out, which otherwise would've been left in there if he hadn't checked the fill level, and even after doing so there is still likely a lot of the old fluid in there.
      Now I'm not saying to, for example, to do a double oil change just to clear out the old liquid, but what I do is let the oil drain all the way, then add in a bit of new oil with the drain still open so the new oil can somewhat wash out the rest of the old stuff. Just curious on others thoughts on this

    • @Cuandoman
      @Cuandoman 6 месяцев назад +1

      You can do a complete transmission flush but it involves removing the pan or doing several transmission oil changes. I think for an introductory prep of a car for someone this is perfectly adequate.

    • @hiteshadhikari
      @hiteshadhikari 6 месяцев назад

      In automatic transmissions, you should not do a complete change until u do it with machine esp in a high mileage car as the small ports for fluid movement might get blocked dye to debris
      The better way is to do a change which dilutes older dirty fluid while not doing a very drastic change altogether
      The new fluid will still do job much Better
      For a complete flush, u can change fluids 3 to 4 times and still some old dirty fluid will remain@@pcmasterracetechgod5660

    Chris, I sadly hit a low center divider when getting into a turn lane a few nights ago. Upon first look, I saw that the impact had shredded my mag wheel which in turn ripped a huge slice in my nearly new tire! Because I am a 60+ disabled woman I had the good sense to have roadside assistance as an add-on to my auto insurance. I called for them to come put on the spare tire I had just purchased 2 weeks ago!
    When the gentleman changed the tire he alerted me that there was some damage to the wheel as it was toed in quite a bit and pushed backward, he advised me that since I was only 2 blocks from home I could probably drive it as long as I drove very slowly. The drive home was terrifying as I could feel the whole wheel wobbling horribly and turning corners was near impossible! As a single mom who did not have much trust in auto shops, I became pretty good at doing my own mechanics over the years, and I was smart enough to know that I would someday no longer be able to do it myself, so, I taught my children as they grew up.
    When I got home I called my sons to come look at my car to assess the damage and how much the repairs would be. The report they gave nearly killed me! Almost every component of the front suspension on the driver's side was seriously damaged. So I immediately started watching Utube videos to create a playlist to watch with them so the repairs could be done. It was during this search that after reviewing about 30 other videos I stumbled upon your 2 part video of the 'complete rebuild of the front suspension'!
    They were hands down the most comprehensive and complete instructionals I had seen (your enthusiasm amazingly had me smiling throughout the entire videos), and I loved how you shared the unwanted obstacles and how to navigate through them along with the very helpful tips!
    Unfortunately, the damages included all the components of the front left suspension.
    My sons have run into a couple of snags like frozen bolts or not having the right-sized sockets, etc. But they have watched and rewatched the video as they tackle each component removal. Of course, I had to play and replay the video to have the correct names for ordering parts.
    I came upon this video because I subscribed to your channel so there was a lineup of your videos in the queue that I had just allowed to run while I was dozing off. All I can say about this video is...
    YOUR MOTHER MUST BE REALLY PROUD TO HAVE A SON AS KIND, HELPFUL, AND GENEROUS AS YOU! And I know what I am talking about because I am a super proud mom of two amazing sons, and I would be proud to have been your mom too! After all, most moms judge their parental worth by how their kids are as adults! The generosity you showed this family is without question something we just don't see anymore in today's world, those children have a chance at a successful future due to the kindness of people like you. The only thing left to say is...
    YOUR MOM MUST BE AWESOME! AND SHE IS DEFINITELY A VERY LUCKY LADY TO HAVE HAD A SON TURN OUT LIKE YOU! THANK HER FOR ME ONE MOM OF AWESOME KIDS TO ANOTHER!!

    I watched this from beginning to end. I rarely comment but this whole video not only informed me on how to better maintain my own car after 7 years of driving, but moved me to see the heart and intention behind making it and for donating to an amazing charity. Thank you Chris for staying true to your “why” behind this channel and not letting money or fame change your morals and values. Although I don’t know you personally, from one Chris to another, may God continue to bless you and your family bro❤️‍🔥🙏🏼
