What I love about this guy is, he is the only RUclipsr I know that would genuinely link a free PDF to his car flipping checklist without any obligation for you to enter your email to be added to some sort of massive email list so he can sell you a bunch of his sponsors products. Hats off to this guy a very rare individual indeed. 💎
- i offered him 2500 dollars - he came back to me at 3500 dollars - and in a classic negociation we met exactly in the middle at 2700 dollars best laugh of the day chris 😂😂😂you kick ass
My dad used to watch your channel so much. He passed away four months back. Just came across your fresh video after all this time but without him. Miss watching with him. Thanks for all your content Chris. God bless you
I feel your pain bro, it’ll be a year with my dad in April, it’ll always creep back up on you, but the memories get easier and smiles becomes more frequent , give it time
Dude actually goes the extra steps. Not just going for quick cash grabs, but actually doing respectable work, whilst giving a second life to old equipment/cars.
Its the only way to do it. People nowadays aren't dumb and if you sell them garbage they will instantly tell everyone they know how much of a scammer u are lol.
@@MaalikBurgess not really lol many people would just be pissed and wouldn't do anything about it. And so many basically scam whilst selling anything, not just cars... "its the only way to do it." is completely and utterly wrong, and unrealistic.
@@EMlNEM2020 because market of supply and demand people buying up cheap cars and reselling them are ruining the market for those who actually need them
Chris is almost at 10 million subs and he's still making videos the way he always did, no merch, no website with more videos, non of that bs, he cuts to the chase, gives good advice and good videos, and he always has, and still does. keep it up.
yep still waiting on that del-sol turbo kit video though.. been waiting probably a year or longer.. its been a long time.. i guess people forgot about that one..
@@turboimport95 Nope. It’s in the video and it’s in the works. You have to understand with a turbo kit and how he does his videos it’s not going to be done in a month. He will go into every single detail there is on truboing your setup. Everything from explaining hot and cold; manifold; tunes and fuel system… there is a tone of information that can come from this rather then some 20 year old in there parents garage showing them slapping a turbo kit on there car with a base tune all in a 10 minute video lol.
I love how throughout the video, all Chris was thinking about was making whoever buys this car happy. Goes to show what an amazing human being this is. We need more people like Chris.
This! When I got my 96 Civic the seller told me he was going to get the car detailed after it was sold. He kept his word and it really made you feel like the car was well cared for!
@@guascamsb8138 if the people want it gone they will take a low price. Realistically speaking a lot of smart people price high KNOWING someone will lowball them and you meet them in the middle. Also, if someone wants the vehicle gone $300 is better than potentially paying a junkyard to haul it away. Not to mention no more paying registration/insurance/parking permits potentially too.
Right ! I aspire to go into this business not just for the money, but to also genuinely help people buy a reliable used car and at a good price. If I never see the customer again, then I’ve done my job correctly.
Half man, half legend. Not only does he go in depth of the how to's. This is actually the basis of any hustle. Find a problem, fix it and charge for it. I'm not anywhere near as handy as Chris but the fact he's not shying away from the cars that "seem" to require more work is typically where you'll find the gems. For the capable or semi car guy out there this is pure free insight on making some extra income.
Dude shows you how to save money and make money without feeling like it’s an advertisement. Been a follower for years and let me say you are a life changer. Learned more from you than I have from anyone. Thank you
Buddy DIY has a such a great series on car flipping. Showing his checklist, tools, process and cost analysis is fantastic. He even showing his failures which is unique
One of the highest production values on this platform, let alone in the car space. The way you communicate in the videos to the camera shots to listing the products it's all incredibly professional and informative. You're doing great work, ChrisFix.
I have been a detailer for over a decade and I appreciate the fact that you are using quality products that are able to be purchased over the counter for the common person and not using low quality products. Also great technique with a lot of what you do.
@@chrisfix Honestly, with the products you used, very little. One thing I would add, that 99.9% of people dont think to clean is the seatbelts. Pull them all the way out and wipe down with soapy water, just as you would the steering wheel. Also, I would always make sure to clean and check the trunk, tire well and the back deck by the rear window. These are other locations that most forget about that collect dirt, skin cells, hair, smoke, etc. I would highly recommend investing in at least an inexpensive steam cleaner. It will work wonders for you, especially if you do at least a couple cars a month. Amazon has some inexpensive ones for about $120. It would cut a lot of your cleaning down in half. You can use it for everything from door jambs, seat belts, everyone's favorite area between the seat and center console. It would help with the spots I mentioned and does a great job in the engine bay as well.
FYI for your future spray paint issues: paint thinner will take off the spray paint and not harm the vehicle's paint. The vehicle's clearcoat is a 2k paint (has hardener). The spray paint is a 1k paint (no hardener and technically never actually dries). If you leave thinner on the 2k paint it will eventually break it down over time. However, if you just wipe off the 1k paint and allow the thinner to evaporate or wipe it off as you go, you won't have any issues. - Buzz's Body Shop, Newton NC
hey chris. just bought a 2004 hyundai sonata for $450 and it is running and driving, clean title, registered, and smogged. just had to replace hood and drivers side headlight and it loooks brand new. so stoked. watching this video inspires me to find more deals and flip them.
Very well done. May be the 1st of your vids I've seen. Professionally I've spent my life in collision. Problem with keeping more of the money is the pesky issue of title transfer. May I ask if you have a procedure or technique that helps mitigate that cost? Or do you have a dealers license. Here in Florida I think you can only sell up to 6 cars a year w/o one. Again...gr8 vid. 👍
Not even joking someone on FB marketplace gave me a 2013 Honda Accord with absolutely no problems, clean title and only 138K miles on the odometer for $1500. Was able to flip it on OfferUp for around 4500 and all I did was polish up + repaint rims. I feel I could’ve gotten more but obviously I didn’t really care much because I got it for $1500 and just wanted that cash. Apparently the lady just really wanted space in her garage, but man I really am hoping to find someone like that again
I'm honestly a decent mechanic, perhaps following along with your video on restoring faded paint would be a good idea as well, but flipping cars assuming I could find one cheap enough, should totally be something I'm able to do. I think I needed the video to help encourage me to doing so, and honestly it would be something I would thoroughly enjoy doing(even though I don't have a garage to work out of)
The problem is flipping cars is illegal in a lot of places without a dealer license. Half of the people in dealer license classes are flippers who got caught and fined and that was part of the sentence.
@@vittoriovuocolo2438 Eh, the problem kind of fixes itself since most people aren't gonna have time to buy and flip more than 4 cars a year. I thought this was nationwide but may just be texas
@@vittoriovuocolo2438 the illegal part is when buyers don't register/title the car under their name before flipping it. I've seen a couple of ads just last week mentioning in the description "title is not under my name" and rather than find out more, i immediately just ignore it
I just completed my first car flip using a lot of the methods in this video and I'm happy to report my project went well I only made $400 profit but since it was my first flip I was happy to have made any profit at all and it was a hell of a learning experience so I know how to be more effective next time this video and many others like it have been very helpful. 👍
I used to buy and sell cars and made a nice living from it… I didn’t start out with much so I used to fix little things I could and be supper honest with the buyers about what i knew…. I love the care you put into the cars to make sure you minimize problems for buyers !
don't you need a license if you start selling more than a certain amount per year? I bet it's different in each state but thats one thing that gets overlooked I think.
I swear ChrisFix could make a video tutorial about how to change a lightbulb and he’d still find a way to make it interesting and fun to watch. I have NEVER seen another content creator who has such easy to follow, to the point and descriptive car tutorials. I think it’s safe to say you’ve saved all of us a time or two, Chris!
I think the best part of this is he doesn't treat anything with a car, even the biggest stuff, like an insurmountable problem. Most people who've never worked on a car probably would feel that way, but Chris makes you feel right at home under the hood. I have been working on cars since i was little, largely learning from my dad, but I always learn new little things from ChrisFix and he's the only person I recommend to people wanting to start wrenching.
Hey Chris, I wanted to thank you for the videos you make. I’m 14, so I don’t have a car yet, but the knowledge I’ve gained has helped me diagnose and fix problems on my parents’ cars. Also, I have a go-kart and a while back it needed it’s oil replaced. Had I never seen your videos, I would have never gotten the courage to do it myself in fear of messing it up. Finally, whenever I’m bored I watch your videos. They have such a good entertainment value for some reason. Also, your videos help cheer me up when I’m down. Again, thank you.
Nice to see you back! As a high school senior, I have found your videos extremely helpful. Thank you so much! I was actually thinking about flipping cars this summer, and this guide will help me a ton. Thanks again for all the genuine, well made videos!
For I passed on to you, as of first importance, the account I had received, that Christ died for our sins, as the Scriptures foretold, that he was buried, that on the third day he was raised from the dead, as the Scriptures foretold 1 Corinthians 15
Couple extra points for sellers! If the car has anything other than a clean title noone will touch it. A rebuilt title, salvage, no title they wont buy it unless it's literally dirt cheap. Also I learned to check the vin number on engines to ensure they are the original engine that came with the car... if they dont match there's no telling how many miles it might have. Good luck everyone!
Dude, I just found you and I can’t stop watching you the way you describe every step you’re doing you’re very clear you make everything seem so easy. That’s how I know you’re a professional, but I really appreciate all your tips.
It honestly makes me happy to see Chris get excited about fixing everything. It makes me feel like I’m right there and it gets me excited about what he does too.
Awesome video, for those thinking of flipping a car though I wouldn’t really recommend a hybrid unless you know what you’re doing. I used to work for a small dealer that specialized in hybrids. We fixed or replaced quite a few batteries and while it’s not the most difficult thing to do it can be dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing.
I never cease to be in love with your scene transitions. The typical putting OUR safety glasses on (to your camera's lens) is an old favorite, but the 13:51 transition from the 17/20 photo on the AutoTempest listing in front of their house to the actual in-person Prius in your driveway was just exquisite. I love these transitions, every time, and they're SUCH an added bonus to watching your videos that just make it super fun and fulfilling. Seriously.
I'm an illustrator/digital artist, but the instructions on your videos are always so clear and helpful, that even I felt empowered enough to try my hand at cleaning, and doing little maintenance on my own car. Since finding your channel, I've detailed my car and my engine (old BMW) by myself, and it's so rewarding that I'm seriously considering getting a little car to fix up and learn with. Thanks for being an exceptional resource for us, especially for ladies like me who don't have someone else to ask for help! So awesome.
@@Bruno-dv3ym I can afford a little starter car and the most important tools, I think! It'll definitely be a big challenge for me, but I'm so interested in cars, (and races for that matter) I just don't really know where to start. But I believe in myself!!
It's always great when someone new joins the car community, especially when it's a female. The car community doesn't have enough car gals in my opinion, it's still a man's hobby in the eyes of too many.
@@sambrown6426 Seriously, so true! I started getting interested in cars a few months ago, and since then, I've realized just how many truly amazing cars are out there. I had no idea! I can definitely see how getting into it is overwhelming at first, but when you find genuinely helpful resources like ChrisFix who break things down into smaller, manageable projects, it becomes a lot less scary, even for beginners. I wish I had girl friends who were interested in it too, honestly! It's such a cool hobby.
Man I love working on cars. There are always roadblocks, but it's so satisfying when you finally get past them. Car forums and RUclips videos will teach you everything.
As a Prius owner this was a wonderful surprise to learn more about how to fix common problems. Follow up on the bad hybrid battery? I'm looking forward to the center console restoration video too.
I’ve never worked on a car before and over the weekend I was able to diagnose my coolant leak and successfully replace the thermostat and wooder pump in my 06 Grand Cherokee. Thanks for all of the videos!
Thanks for all the great videos over the years. I bought my 96 GT after seeing you get the drift stang running. I knew my GT was a good buy for the price and how easy it was to fix, all thanks to you! She's still running strong 6 years later.
I gotta say...I'm not a car guy whatsoever, but your video is phenomenal. You are a gifted, talented and SKILLED craftsman. And thank you for regularly reminding your listeners that you can realistically expect some surprises. Because something like Flips, can be very very attractive to get into, but if you don't have experience, you could lose your money. So thank you. P.S. if you ever go Public, your stock would be solid
@Treityn. I went to a car mechanic technical school for some time in Finland, the teacher told the students to watch YT vids since each model can be different, so it's real
One thing is to "talk how to do", the other is "tell how I did". You did all these projects, and now is showing how you flipped the cars. Chris, you rock! Keep up the amazing work :) . Hugs from Portugal.
"In a classic negotiation" Best line I've ever heard from Chris! Made me laugh for a while then Chris said the final price was 2700! Chris makes my day once again!🤣🤣
The amount of work CHRIS puts into this videos is crazy !! ... its also crazy to see him grow all the way from 2million subs and now almost at 10 million. As an all time car guy and fan I must say GOOD WORK CHRIS!!!! 💪
Watched the whole vid not knowing how long it was, and it felt like a reg 10 min video clicked off and said wtf this was 47 mins lol. But i wasn't bored for a sec. But im also a car guy trying start a detail business so makes sense i felt at home with this vid lol. Thanks man great work.
Tip from a professional detailer, that hyper dressing that Chris used is also great to use as a tire dressing. It has very little sling and looks great
it is really really cool to see how you go the extra mile to be SURE the cars you restore & flip are reliably fixed. too often one sees supposedly professional mechanics take snide shortcuts & look for snide ways to take advantage of people. i would have no worries buying any vehicle you had worked on, i have enjoyed how complete & detailed your videos are & have more confidence working on cars then previously.
My conscious couldnt take shortcuts. Every car I work on has my reputation tied to it and I wouldnt want anything less than the best car I can fix for someone.
It is a clear example of short term gains vs long term gains. Short term, you flip a car and make a lot of money in short period of time. Though your customers will never return, nor will their friends ever visit you. Long term, it takes a while to make the same money. Though the customers will return, and so will their friends resulting in making a LOT more money in the long run.
With the amount of effort you put in your videos and explaining yourself , you give me the confidence to tackle these bro. Thank you Chris, appreciate you man. 🤙🏼
I can see why u have 10 mil subs. Very articulate and thorough and well paced. And i sound like a robot. Congrats on finding your niche. I wish i had the tools and know how to flip cars. I'm getting into marketing for small businesses and its kinda similar. Making money from others by providing a service. No need to have a 9-5 job. Help other people and you will always be employed and compensated. Well done man.
Man I just wanted to say thank you for the Car knowledge that you spread out to the Car Lover World. You are spot on with your knowledge and details I have myself a new Car friend for life Rock On brother and don't change a thing😊
I think this is the only video in all of social media that actually shows you how to do side hustle that you can actually do. THANK YOU CHRIS FIX! (even though i know nothing about fixing cars or flipping)
I love that this video reviews a pretty detailed list of "things to improve the look of your car." While I've seen nearly each individual video Chris has mentioned, he did a good job at summing up his other videos with this video demo. I keep saying to myself, "Yep, I remember that video." Good stuff Chris!
The detail in this video is amazing. Not just the video but everything you need to perform it yourself. Shows the amount of work that has gone into this video. Thank you Chris 😊
I watched your channel years back but one day stopped for some reason. And just days ago, i randomly thought of your channel and decided to check it back out and here you are, still the same humble teacher I remembered back when I stayed up until late watching your videos, excited about gaining the knowledge I needed to work on my first car the following day whether it was spark plugs, shocks, brakes, sensors, tire rods, etc. Thank you for still being here, Mr. Fix! Look forward to seeing more 😊
Hey thank you brother for all the great information you give out for free, you’re a gentleman and a scholar . My son asked me two months ago if we can do what you do , and now I found your channel to put us on the right track. Thank you God Bless You.
When doing the full cleaning of the vehicle, it might not be a bad idea to start with the engine bay, then do the headlights, followed by the exterior of the car, and finishing with the interior. Doing so would keep from transferring dirt and grime back to an area you just cleaned. If you do the exterior before the engine, you could have grime and soap splatter on the exterior, making some spots not as clean. If you go to all of the effort of buffing out scratches before doing the headlights, but your hand slips while sanding the headlights, you will have to redo the area around the headlights to remove any scratches you might have added. And if you do the interior first, when you're cleaning the areas inside the doors, you might get that dirt and the plastic cleaner stuff on the seats.
Hey ChrisFix, Keep up the work, man 😉 Every thing you post just brings joy to my heart and all of us watching you come closer to 10M subs! Don’t give up and the diamond play button will be all yours with our help👏
The before and after aspect of this video is very gratifying to me. This is basically how and what I did to my own cars. Bought good cars cheap and fix everything and clean them up. And I alwAys drove really nice cars.
This was an update to ChrisFix greatest hits. The detailing, the headlights, the inspection are all things I've taken away and done from this channel. Love your stuff as always! I gotta say, take it easy on yourself. I hope you have a good team behind you for some of this stuff because RUclips burn out is real and I wouldn't want that for you. As always, top tier on the quality of work and content!
Chris coming back with a bang in 2023!! I'm looking forward to this series as I bought a Mint 2010 Prius with 40k on it 2 years ago. Has served me well so far but I know the inevitable will happen and I trust your videos. They will definitely help me out with future repairs!!! I hope you go over battery fan cleaning when you get into the Hybrid battery and I hope you mention the DR. Prius APP!! Also, probably not gonna happen but would definitely appreciate an EGR cleaning video on this if possible. I hear its easy but I'm still worried ill mess something up. Thanks Chris!
So many people that have never even met this guy but would certainly help him out if he ever needed anything because he’s so loved by his community. I’ve been watching your vids for a long time and I trust you like a brother even though we’ve never met. That’s why your at almost 10mil subs and you deserve every single one of them.
Hey Chris, I just wanted to say I love your videos. I am a 11 year old and I love cars. These videos help me and my Dad fix his car with all the good tools. Keep up the good work. - Lucas
Here's a tip for you buddy if you love cars but know nothing about fixing cars especially engines then there's absolutely no point getting into the cars buying fixing & selling buisness scene mate be a car mechanic first before getting into it kiddo otherwise you'll get nowhere in life lmao 🙄🤷♂️
Thank you Chris. I’m not flipping cars but I used your tips before I sold the 2 other cars I had. No profit, but since I added miles to the cars, I can say that I lost no money on them.
I think this video is helpful for a lot of people! My first car was a Volkswagen caddy that i bought for $300 then flipped it. Me and my dad fixed mainly some rust problems and cleaned the interior, and then sold it for $2100
Tip: clean the engine BEFORE the outside of the car chris! Also, set parking break before getting under it! Also, you can use a wet/dry vacuum instead of your fancy one (whatever you called it) Another thing NICE VIDEO!
Hey Chris, great video. I have a tip for you and your viewers regarding tire tread depth which is mentioned at 44:35. All tires have a tread wear indicator which can be seen at 45:12 of your video. You can see the 4 long vertical grooves at this angle which run around the whole tire Just above your thumb, there is a horizontal "bridge" inside that vertical groove. Once the tread of the tire has worn down to the same height as this, that means your tire needs replacing.
Chris is also concerned about the tire being too close to that mark, from what i understood If you only have a couple mm over the mark, the new owner would have to replace them very soon. Having plenty of life left on the tire easens the sell
Thanks Chris for always helping us out. Can't even count how many of your videos I've seen. Saved my ass many times! Even if I don't need help fixing something, it's so nice to see how to in the future. Thank you so much for making youtube a better place
Since 2015 I've been watching your channel. You've helped me when I owned my 2005 Honda Civic DX ( my favorite car ) and the Transformation was incredible. The video's of how to do some simple things with a little TLC and elbow grease you'll get the right results. And for this we all truly appreciate you as a person with good intentions with your channel.👍
Super informative and interesting video! A small welding suggestion would be with that mig welder, lower your wire feed speed, raise your voltage, and point the tip of the welding gun at the weld and push your weld forward instead of pulling the tip away from the weld as your welding. Honestly though, the welds you produced after grinding definitely looked good enough. Thanks!
@@chrisfix pushing the puddle with mig is best because it gives the most gas coverage. Like the other guy said raise the voltage a little bit. Maybe try to slow down a little bit too. Keep up the good work, your weld looks good for being self taught.
This video was in my recommended videos (probably because I've been researching buying used EVs) and while I know that I personally couldn't do this side hustle for multiple reasons, I watched the whole video. I have so much respect for not only what you do but the production quality of the video itself. Making people a checklist and just posting it in the description as well. So much respect. You're awesome! (Also got a good laugh at that "Meet in the middle at $2700.") This was really interesting to watch, if for nothing else, to at least see how much you can simply clean the car out and really improve it. I don't have the extractor vacuum, but it seems they're pretty easy and cheap to pick up. Basically anyone can do this if they're dedicated enough, and I see so many used cars that just don't do it. We'll see if I'm too lazy when it comes to selling my old Nissan Leaf in a year or two.
In the future to make carpets look brand new again, you can easily use a little bit of RIT dye and a water bottle with warm water and spray it down section by section. It usually takes about 24 hours to dry, but the carpet will look brand new.
I've been thinking about getting into this alongside being a daytime mechanic for a while! Just never been super confident or comfortable with all that risk. This makes me feel a lot better honestly, thanks Chris!
@@griffinteter1878 Very much correct. Usually it's 4 but it does vary. Floating titles is illegal in all states. I hate it, but the state can't let you make a profit without their hand out. Sucks but I don't want people getting in trouble and put in a bad spot. The law isn't forgiving of ignorance.
@@themotorhino1331 Yeah, after federal taxes and the state getting their fair share, you really have to consider if the juice is worth the squeeze for these smaller profit endeavors .
Chris I just want to say that I used to watch you all the time, but then I drifted away from cars (no pun intended) and now I remembered you. Thank you for teaching me many things about cars that I still know today. I plan on watching you again more often.
I'm sure people say this all the time, but I love you bro! As someone that didn't grow up with a father, or even a father figure, I never really learned how to work on cars as a child. I'm 39 years of age now, and I'm only just now starting to learn how to do more than just the basics like changing oil, spark plugs etc. Watching your channel as well as a few other channels on YT has really helped me build up confidence to start building my 1990 Honda Civic EF Si Hatchback! I really want to swap a K20 or K24 engine into the car, but since I'm such a rookie when it comes to working on cars, I think I'll stick with a a B16 or maybe a B20 instead since they're both much easier swaps to pull off. Thanks for your channel! I say it as though you don't have 9+ million subs making a nice career off your content, but STILL! THANKS! I'd personally love to see you buy an older EF Hatch like mine and work on that car! Would be even more helpful for me!
In Chris's words " if you guys enjoy the video " let me stop you right there we all wait on these videos and wonder when the next video comes out so we can watch that one about 10 times. I GUARANTEE everyone that comes to this channel loves the videos and every second of work you put into them, once again keep up the amazing work.
Thanks for the check list! Always wanted to make one of these! I would just add to the top part (even tho it is hard to do DIY and could be expensive) is the water pump/timing belt. That’s a big one for me with a car being near or over 100k miles. ESP for an interference type engine! Great video my man!! Welcome back in 2023!!
Absolutely love this guys content, not only can I fix cars but even buses too. Thanks man without you I wouldn't reach to were I am now keep it up, you can definitely teach many upcoming generations to come that want to be like you.
This is so helpful! Thanks Chris! I have the same car and now I'm able to get it back to looking great. I was a little insecure to mess it up, but now I know what to do to not damage it! Great content!!!! Very appreciated!!!!
Your energy kept me for 48 min. Not boring at all. Very well explained. Beside of a good entertaining, fixing, flipping, negotiating l honestly don’t know which one you do best 😂😂 You are genuinely a good guy, hard working and honest Thank you thank you. Even though l am into buying a Tesla M3. You kept me watching about a gas car 😅. Me waiting to know how to clean the chairs🤣🤣
chrisfix videos is so satisfying to watch for me. i remember watching your videos wayyy before i became a mechanic. now i watching this video seeing the old videos in this video just gave me nostalgia. i love seeing the progress and thanks for these videos man.
Hi Mr Chrisfix, I wanted to tell you that I am now addicted to your Brand , Channel & especially Videos!! You are definitely one of a kind taking your time explaining the detail in your processes & you are actually easy to listen for someone that usually can’t finish & moves on with average vids. Keep up the great work!!
I am 18, and I'm not gonna say I've been watching your videos for years but I remember seeing and watching some as I got more into cars, I was 16. In my life I failed and slept through school, and now I'm going to barely graduate after recovering 27 credits. Ain't bad, but I need a way to make money and I don't enioy much of anything, mechanics or maybe even carpentry are things I'd probably be the most interested in. So these videos and your time without strings have been the best time I needed, to learn and maybe get this life together
I like the brushes. I worked for my brother's detailing business and we always would silicone the dash. Did a lot of work for dealerships. One critique I'd give on this video would be to wash it first, and use the pressure washer to get the door jams and then do the interior, you rarely even get any water inside and would save on that wash and wax and can just silicone that or buff the paint. Or keep that wash and wax and it would be a lot quicker. We also would degrease the engine and then power wash it (carefully, yet fairly aggressively) with the engine on. Never heard of any issues from clients.
You can polish headlights too, just be careful not to overheat them. Makes a HUGE difference. Edit: Ah, I commented too early lol Edit #2: Cabin Air Filters are often overlooked and can improve the smell of the air inbound to the cabin, as well as increase efficiency of the AC and Heat.
My man, great to have you back on the tv, phones screens and more. Youre extremely knowledgeable on what you talk about, detail oriented, and explain so that anyone and everyone can understand. Ive been watchin your videos since i was 12, no where near buying or owing a car. I now keep both my cars clean, up to date, and 9/10 thinga that need fixing is done at home. Same! Because of this channel I have slowly gotten tools, over the years, to maintain my vehicles. Feels good to know what I am looking for when I am at Autozone or Autoparts shop to fix problems I may have.
Totally correct about cleaning being the best bang for the buck - not just in your car but in your house or at your job. Cleaning costs almost nothing and it really improves your state of mind, it can keep things from deteriorating beyond just getting dirty. There are techniques and materials to learn about that can make it quicker and easier but it's always a winning strategy to keep things clean.
U sounds young, but a very skilled mechanic and businessman. I'm not surprise if u own a big and successful used car company in very near future. This does takes a lot of efforts and knowledge that even everybody knows how, they still probably can't do it, which add to your value if u did this. And your restored car looks amazing.

One of the highest production values on this platform, let alone in the car space. The way you communicate in the videos to the camera shots to listing the products it's all incredibly professional and informative. You're doing great work, ChrisFix.
Thank you!
I have been a detailer for over a decade and I appreciate the fact that you are using quality products that are able to be purchased over the counter for the common person and not using low quality products. Also great technique with a lot of what you do.
Thanks! Is there anything you would do differently?
However, if you just wipe off the 1k paint and allow the thinner to evaporate or wipe it off as you go, you won't have any issues.

hey chris. just bought a 2004 hyundai sonata for $450 and it is running and driving, clean title, registered, and smogged. just had to replace hood and drivers side headlight and it loooks brand new. so stoked. watching this video inspires me to find more deals and flip them.
Awesome! That sounds like a great flip!
Always a risk make sure u have a backup plan if one flip kills the deal with a bad car
what was your profit on that after fixing it up?
I think I needed the video to help encourage me to doing so, and honestly it would be something I would thoroughly enjoy doing(even though I don't have a garage to work out of)
Chris is living proof all you need is a patch of asphalt!

He did a previous hybrid battery replacement video. I think it also includes cleaning the fan on it.
So many people that have never even met this guy but would certainly help him out if he ever needed anything because he’s so loved by his community. I’ve been watching your vids for a long time and I trust you like a brother even though we’ve never met. That’s why your at almost 10mil subs and you deserve every single one of them.
Hey Chris,
I just wanted to say I love your videos.
I am a 11 year old and I love cars.
These videos help me and my Dad fix his car with all the good tools.
Keep up the good work.
- Lucas
Thanks a lot Lucas! I'm glad the videos help you and your Dad out!
@@HuuTonyTran he’s 11 bro. Relax.
@@HuuTonyTran Man if u don't delete this comment rn so obvious you are chronically online
@@HuuTonyTran You are an absolute clown.
Also, you can use a wet/dry vacuum instead of your fancy one (whatever you called it)
Another thing NICE VIDEO!
Chris is also concerned about the tire being too close to that mark, from what i understood
If you only have a couple mm over the mark, the new owner would have to replace them very soon. Having plenty of life left on the tire easens the sell
Thanks Chris for always helping us out. Can't even count how many of your videos I've seen. Saved my ass many times! Even if I don't need help fixing something, it's so nice to see how to in the future. Thank you so much for making youtube a better place
Excellent video! Thank you!

Just found ur channel. I love how enthusiastic and genuine u seem. Its really nice and feels friendly instead of salesperson behavior
car flips are easily my favorite videos these days. Loving the content!
Thanks!
Thanks for the tip! Should I push for all mig welds or just this type of weld underneath? I learned to pull but I learned on my own haha
@@chrisfix pushing the puddle with mig is best because it gives the most gas coverage. Like the other guy said raise the voltage a little bit. Maybe try to slow down a little bit too. Keep up the good work, your weld looks good for being self taught.
@@chrisfix Mig with gas is push, drag is for welding that has slag like stick or flux core.
There is more gold in this one video than in many channels offer in a hundred videos. Thank you for your service!
Thanks a lot!
(Also got a good laugh at that "Meet in the middle at $2700.")
This was really interesting to watch, if for nothing else, to at least see how much you can simply clean the car out and really improve it.
You'll want to have a dealer's license or the state will come after you both, especially if you float titles.
@@themotorhino1331 this varies by state, there is a max you can buy and sell within a year and not have a dealers license legally
This video is almost too good to be true. So much information, freely given away. You even sound like such a nice person
Chris I just want to say that I used to watch you all the time, but then I drifted away from cars (no pun intended) and now I remembered you. Thank you for teaching me many things about cars that I still know today. I plan on watching you again more often.
I'm sure people say this all the time, but I love you bro! As someone that didn't grow up with a father, or even a father figure,
I never really learned how to work on cars as a child. I'm 39 years of age now, and I'm only just now starting to learn how to
do more than just the basics like changing oil, spark plugs etc. Watching your channel as well as a few other channels on
YT has really helped me build up confidence to start building my 1990 Honda Civic EF Si Hatchback! I really want to swap a
K20 or K24 engine into the car, but since I'm such a rookie when it comes to working on cars, I think I'll stick with a a B16 or
maybe a B20 instead since they're both much easier swaps to pull off. Thanks for your channel! I say it as though you don't
have 9+ million subs making a nice career off your content, but STILL! THANKS! I'd personally love to see you buy an older
EF Hatch like mine and work on that car! Would be even more helpful for me!
What kind of car do you have my man?
In Chris's words " if you guys enjoy the video " let me stop you right there we all wait on these videos and wonder when the next video comes out so we can watch that one about 10 times. I GUARANTEE everyone that comes to this channel loves the videos and every second of work you put into them, once again keep up the amazing work.
I used to do this but got away from it for a while. Life got in the way. You had me looking for a flip today. I love it! Thanks
If you don't mind asking how you do with paper work???

Not boring at all. Very well explained.
Beside of a good entertaining, fixing, flipping, negotiating l honestly don’t know which one you do best 😂😂

chrisfix videos is so satisfying to watch for me. i remember watching your videos wayyy before i became a mechanic. now i watching this video seeing the old videos in this video just gave me nostalgia. i love seeing the progress and thanks for these videos man.
I'm glad you find the videos satisfying! Thanks a lot!
Lol. I know what you mean. I'm sure the "Fix" in ChrisFix refers to fixing cars, but I feel like it's also like an addict's "fix" ... 😅
Can’t wait for the turbo Del sol. I’ve always wanted s2k seats in mine too. Stoked for the turbo build.
Edit: Ah, I commented too early lol
Edit #2: Cabin Air Filters are often overlooked and can improve the smell of the air inbound to the cabin, as well as increase efficiency of the AC and Heat.
That is a good one!
You are like the mechanical father that some of us dont have, on behalf of those i would like to say thank you, and i wish and pray for your successes 🙏🏼🧡
i know first hand none of those cars took less than 4-24 hrs of labor. not down time. time you spend on cleaning it and stuff. but stilll bro you do an amazing job and you know what your doing
If I wasn't filming I could have gotten them done a lot quicker lol and thanks!
@@chrisfix i didnt even think about that bro. you have to edit too… geez. people dont realize 1.) how hard it actually is just to clean the interior like you do and the paint job on the outside. snd 2.) the editing. not even mentioning the repairs.
I'm seriously impressed by how generously you share your knowledge. I'm not a car guy by any stretch of the imagination but I learned a huge amount here. You're obviously very skilled, and a good teacher! Thank you.

Chris, the quality of your videos just keeps on getting better. The preparation and attention to detail is quite evident. Well done, once again.
Exactly!

U sounds young, but a very skilled mechanic and businessman. I'm not surprise if u own a big and successful used car company in very near future. This does takes a lot of efforts and knowledge that even everybody knows how, they still probably can't do it, which add to your value if u did this. And your restored car looks amazing.
I just got my permit two days ago, and my first drivers ed starts today. I'm so exited and honestly I dont think I would have gotten my permit if I wasn't inspired by you. Wish me luck!
