I think it's worth noting that when Jayce, Ekko, and Himerdinger first enter the hexgate failsafe, the room is very cold and you see there breath constantly. Then when Jayce comes back, the entire time you can see his breath still, showing the room is still very cold. You know who's breath you can't see? Salo. At no point is Salo's breath visible. In my eyes this means one of two things, either whatever Salo has become isn't producing body heat, or it isn't breathing...

this line of thought is often replicated, but don't forget that Viktor himself doesn't feel cold anymore (from the scene where he comes out from the first cocoon and meets Jayce in the lab), so it really is possible that their bodies become colder when touched by hextech/arcane, therefore not producing steam from their breath. Although they still seem to need to eat, since they are planting stuff in the community, their bodies are supposed to be "evolved" or freed from some restraints the human body is supposed to have. So it's not so much that they aren't alive/breathing

Something no one ever seems to bring up is that when Viktor first ever touched the Hexcore, Heimerdinger told him, "Viktor, something's different. You've changed." Which is very similar to Viktor's line to Jayce where he says, "You seem different. Something happened." Then brings up that Jayce has touched the arcane as well. So something about interacting with the Arcane directly is important here.

That's a fact at this point bro

"The inspiration for our greatest good is also the cause of our greatest evil"
      And..
Peace, love, hate and anger are 2 sides of the same coin

It needed to absorb her. At the time it was missing 1 of the 5 runes - Inspiration. Her entire walk down the hallway towards her death she was talking to herself about how "inspired" she was and how much Viktor inspired her.
The cover of her notebook is also the shape of the inspiration rune in league of legends, which pretty much confirms it for me that she completed the missing piece of the hexcore.
What that means however, and how much of her apparent consciousness inside the hexcore is actually "Sky"... I'm not sure. She seems to change more and more each time we see her, evolving alongside Viktor and the hexcore.
Really looking forward to the final act and hope to get a lot more context about this.

      It is
      But the issue is...
He only included people who are very unwell, or disabled
It genuinely seems like Viktor wants to help, and maybe he doesn't fully understand this stuff himself yet
      Maybe.
I am saying a hive mind doesn't have to be the evil we see in most sci-fi movies
If Viktor explains all of this to anyone who wants his help and they agree willingly
Then he is doing nothing wrong

      Or...
He did know but he didn't see the problem with a hive mind
In fact I'm not sure I see the problem with that if it's done the way Viktor was doing it
      Because it still helped people
No one was forced into it
People still had their own personalities and they still retained their memories etc
But it did cure peoples illnesses etc, and it never hurt anyone outside of the commune
Now he has realised that hate etc is the different side of the same coin, and an important part of it in a way...
That your greatest good leads to your greatest evil
How do you think that will play out? Assuming he returns?
Maybe it was always a good thing, maybe the hive mind isn't a problem because it did help, no one was forced and people retained a lot of themselves still etc
Viktor was pure good, purely peaceful throughout the whole commune part of the show
So he learned that just one side of that coin doesn't work, pure peace and love doesn't work, it resulted in his death and the end of the commune
I think he returns with not only wanting to help those who want help...
I think he will return wanting to help and incorporate literally everyone, and do that against their will
Because he now embraces the opposite side of the coin to peace
      Does that make sense?
I know we all think hive mind = bad because 99% of the time in all media, it's bad
But was the way it seemed to work here really that bad?
      I'm not sure it was
But if Viktor uses it differently...
      It could be very bad
And I think that's what we will get on Saturday
Someone who is forcing it on people instead of only helping people
And no longer pure peace to achieve his goals

I think Jayce was IS right, but not why we think based some of the things this video pointed out that i missed. I think those creatures Jayce is seeing are what happens to Viktors people after he dies without reaching his final evolution. They get corrupted by the void. But i think killing Viktor here allows him to evolve. The hexcore at the hex gate takes control of his followers to resurrect him. This makes him evolve into something like a shuriman ascended. The butterfly motiff and the weird cocoon he's living in I think is the best proof i have for this theory. It looks an awful lot like the sun disk of the shuriman empire. There is a butterfly affect from the moment Jayce tries to kill the hexcore and that triggers Viktors final glorious evolution. Whether thats a good or a bad thing is hard to say, but i think viktor might get some time powers out of it, and he sends jayce to the other reality to convince him to kill him. 12:10 I don’t think the top is a “crown,” I think it’s literally showing how Salo is becoming empty, and how the other healed people will eventually become hollow, eaten out alive by the Arcane, consumed and replaced by these weird, metallic exoskeleton shells. Like you said, Jayce might be seeing what these people are/become in alternate dimensions due to interacting with the arcane, due to being reassembled and reforged by the arcane. Think how empty and peaceful these people act, how they kinda float through their activities in a detached way. Even that weird bell that was being rung when Vander is first brought up to Viktor, it barely resonates, and seems to be swinging so slowly that the bell barely rings with a gentle toll, like there’s barely contact inside to strike and make the sound. That’s what it feels like is going on inside these people’s heads. Gently functioning, but not really-floating, restrained, and distant.

I think Jayce is currently combined with several different versions of him (from other timelines, perhaps). We see him, Ekko, and Heimer being broken apart into abstract hextech / time shenanigans and he's 'reassembled' at the end of ep 5. I think this is what causes him to (mentally) struggle staying 'whole' as he sometimes seems to almost break apart. It's as if he's fused with 3 other selves that are all constantly talking in his head, and he does his best to keep reminding himself of that mantra "I won't fail, I swear it" (which reaaally sounds like a promise to Ekko/Heimerdinger). I could also be completely wrong of course, I'm so intrigued to see what caused him to go from puking upon the sight of corpses to killing Salo and Viktor.

Viktor dying removed his influence from the people he healed which of course caused Warwick to come back in full effect. I know the original jayce and viktor lore but people who've never interacted with arcane don't and I can understand why they see the last episode and hate jayce for his actions. They're going to see in later episodes why he did what he did but Isha died and Vander turned permanently into Warwick, two characters people are attached to so it's not hard to see why people blame Jayce for losing those two characters cause he's technically is the cause of it

I saw this theory on twitter about the mage that saved Jayce being Viktor, which kind of makes the timeloop thing more plausible. But I also don't think that's what's going on. My main issue right now is trying to figure out where on the timeline this is happening, because if we go by what's in the Realms of Runeterra book, Heimerdinger would have to be like 1000 years old to have seen the Rune Wars in any capacity (I know that time works differently in Bandle City and for Yordles).
Also, if you look when Viktor and Sky are ruminating about the entity Jayce has with him, look at Viktor's chest. There's a friggin black hole in it where Jayce wrecks his shit later.

I have two guesses as to why Jayce did this, either an alternate timeline Viktor made him swear to save his alternate from a FAR worse fate. Or Jayce saw that Victor is inadvertently forming a cyborg zombie apocalypse. Right now only Viktor can convert someone with a touch, but each time it weakens Viktor, until he shall ultimately die, then each of these drones become inhabited by "Something Else" as they are now empty vessels. Then each of these "Drones" can now convert people with a touch. I found it interesting that the only drones that screech are the ones that were Shimmer Wretches healed by Viktor. When Viktor "Dies" the prior Shimmer users are the first to be "Occupied".

I do feel like Jayce is being sent by Ekko and Heimer to fix things, and get them out. Ekko must have seen, or visited multiple timelines, and knows what has to happen to free them, and put things on a path that they want. We saw in the previews for season 2, that Ekko is going to have the Zdrive in the big climax.
Also looks like Singed is going to save Viktor, and most likely Viktor will be the one that involuntarily creates Orianna, either thanking Singed for saving him, or being forced to. Since they've retconned/ merged Singed's lore with Orianna's father.

The endless possibilities that mankind can achieve with such level of computation, almost magical, almost... arcane-like. Nowadays we see and sometimes even consume A.I generated content i.e voices, images, texts, videos, etc. To generate something based of many sources to create intended outcomes is almost chaotic in of itself, the whole process, at least to the extent of what we can comprehend with our flawed minds. But the at the same time A.I much like hextech/Arcane can be redirected; controlled chaos almost; whether for good or bad, however there is a fine line between what good and bad depending on the person that believes it to be. "In pursuit of greatness, we failed to do good." There is greatness in the Arcane/A.I it is neutral, a tool for purpose. The good and bad resides within the hearts of the people that use "this" tool. The tool is perfect, the user is not, thus we end up repeating the very thing we ultimately want to avoid, pure chaos. Controlled chaos vs Pure Chaos

Personally, I don't think the promise Jayce made to not fail was to Heimerdinger and Ekko (though it's a reasonable theory and could prove true). I think he made the promise to Viktor in another timeline. Really though, my only evidence is that Jayce has done EVERYTHING for Viktor up to this point, and I don't think Heimerdinger and Ekko could extract a promise like that out of him to kill Viktor. I think VIKTOR is the only person who could actually convince Jayce to give up their Hextech dream and to let him die in order to save the world, otherwise I think Jayce would just fight it forever (and IMO, those overlays while he's shooting at Viktor are other times he's done this and was more resistant, more angry, more sad, and failed as a result, that's why he has to be so grim and focused this time) and perhaps HAS already fought it for a long time before coming to the conclusion that it must be done, but only for Viktor's sake.

I fully believe that whatever Viktor is doing isn't what he thinks, he isn't saving anyone, they're becoming lifeless husks devoid of their own thought for some terrible purpose, there's no way the arrogant Salo would become a cult follower willingly, I imagine he would at least thank him but then he would go back to his own life with his legs healed, but his speech and mannerisms were uncannily different from his usual self.

I think there are some parallels with this future/alternate timeline Jayce sees and the battlecast/eternum universe that some champions have skins for. Namely the organic metal creatures that take over the world. For some reason the particle effects that come off Jayce's hammer when he was about to shoot the kid reminded me of Eternum Nocturne skin and made this connection. It would be cool to see since that universe is essentially one that focus's around Victor. Also it would be cool that that other mind inside Jayce is actually a different version of Viktor and maybe Jayce's appearance mimicking Victor's is the hint also Victor is the only one that can "fuse" objects to people.

Hexcore is giving off the same power aura as the World Runes in Ryze cinematic. Heimer said he had seen something simlar before and it flashbacks to Rune Wars. World Rune of Madness gives off the same power aura as the Hexcore. Could it be The World Rune of Madness calling out to Viktor getting him to make the Hexcore. The World Rune is tricking Viktor into thinking hes healing people but hes actually just turning them into people he can mind controll. Could it be the World Rune is hidden deep in Zaun and thats why Viktor goes down there? The Hexcore Leads him down there. In the Ryze cinematic. Ryze says that the World Runes call out and wants to be used. Cant see them pulling in the Void into this story when they already made so much ground work for Runes, Rune magic, and flashbacks from Runewars

Jayce's technology is what enabled her to do this. Along with fact he killed a kid, nearly killed another. Him taking out Viktor also directly leads to what happens at the end of episode 6 of s2. The enforcers killed by Jinx were also the instruments of the Councils oppression.

Plus the fact that Vi basically told her to go f herself is coupled with her killing Silco. Several times was it discussed of just sending in a force to kill Jinx, and only Jinx. But certain Topsiders said "nah just wipe em all out". Jayce still further enables this by fixing Vis gloves and making Caitlin a hextech gun. No one in this show outside of the civilians (specifically the Zaunites not engaged with the Chem Gangs for Zaun) are innocent.

I think you shouldn't take everything Heimer says as the absolute truth.
For example, when he says the miracles of mages *always* turn into horror, it's just his experience, but far from the truth of Runeterra. Just look at Ionia, people live completely in tune with magic and nature. Same for Ixtal having many mages.
In Noxus, the black Rose has existed for 1000 years and leblanc even more, yet she never suffered or died from her extensive use of magic ? It never turned against her.
Good things turning bad is definitely *not* a property of the Arcane itself, and absolutely just a symptom of humanity's flaws and obsessions with power.

Thy scream of the cultists whey Viktor died is the same as the scream when Ambessa kills Amara, and the black rose withers in her hand. This implies a direct connection, which must be the magic of the void.
How did Viktor get exposed to and probably corrupted by the void? It was via shimmer, but also the grey which is the source of his terminal disease slowly eating away at his insides.
And where did shimmer come from? Singed, who created it from the purple flowers deep underground, close to the source of the grey.
Connecting all of it, i think singed is a black rose sleeper agent, who knew of a source of the void beneath Zaun. Because the black rose knows spirit and void magic, he used his know how to create shimmer and gain huge influence for himself and the black rose in the cities.
We also see dark rose pettles in the chamber with Orianna.
Another connection is the bright green of chemtech that Singed is responsible for creating. It is similar to the bright green rune magic of the Noxian guy who charges up those stones to use with his glaive. Chemtech is also charge- based. Not only that but those stones have been described as being created by black rose artificers, so it is likely Singed used that kind of knowledge to create chemtech batteries.

    • @danielp.2213
      @danielp.2213 День назад +1

      BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE.
In Jayces flashes seeing void spawn there are some key visual details. At first it looks like they have spines on top of their head, but if you look more closely, the crown of their skull is actually missing, and the brain has been hollowed out. There is a literal VOID where their mind should be. This explains why Jayce is so conflicted and tormented, he knows that in part these people are all still "alive" but they are being hollowed out by the void and that's truly horrifying to witness.
This brings us also back to the Grey. The slides Caitlin sees from the Kirramen house key shows that the Grey does to the body exactly what the void corruption does to the mind - hollows it out.
So yeah it's quite possible there is a major source of the void beneath Zaun that the black rose has a vital interest in either covering up or using for its own ends, Ambessa is likely after it, Mel is a key to unlocking it, and most of the characters are simply collateral damage to that whole hidden plot.

In that scene with Singed and Viktor, I think Singed was trying to convince Viktor (for his own purpose) to use Warwicks regenerating blood, making Viktor more powerful in order to save his dying daughter.
Singed is manipulative character, he doesnt care about Viktor's emotions, his community or personal conquest. His mission is only to save his daughter and he'll do anything to achieve it, anything.
Thats why when he woke up after being attacked by Caitlyn, he then injected Warwick with something (probably a variant of shimmer) that caused him to go into frenzy and become a beast once more, serving Singed, causing chaos and continue his work on him....also my theory that he probably brought Viktor back to his lab where he injects Warwicks blood into the "dead" Viktor, making him stronger and more powerful so he can save his daughter

Even if what you say ends up being true (which it honestly might be true(in some parts of your over all theory) I still don’t think Jayce was right or Justified in killing Salo, or killing Viktor. If anything he actually sealed Viktor’s fate in him becoming the version of him in league. If anything Jayce’s home reality might actually be the one where Viktor was actually accomplishing some good.
When Viktor is speaking with singed about Warwick, he points out to him that he doesn’t want to sacrifice Vander’s humanity just to save him. To me, this implies that he doesn’t want the same for any of the people who live in his small society. Additionally, I don’t know why people thinking that him healing all these people and lifting them up from their previous position in a damn near hell is a bad thing. And maybe one can say that it is because Viktor can assume control over people’s minds and bodies. But beyond that, what exactly has Viktor done that warrants Jayce’s violent and arguably unjustifiable actions towards him? And I’m not talking about theories, because at this time in the show, we don’t even know what Jayce saw. Heck, he could have been influenced by the Arcane itself (or worse, the void) to take action against Viktor because the Arcane/Void wanted Viktor to die so that he could be reborn as the version of him in the game. Because the Arcane/void wanted to spread itself like it did in other realities.
The power/magic working through Viktor, or that Viktor is wielding itself on the other hand, doesn’t really seem Voidy itself to me. In fact it feels more celestial in nature.
On a final note, regarding Viktor healing the people in his society, and what you said about them being completely gone from being overtaken by the hex core within Viktor (or Hextech) I don’t think this is true. When you pointed out that Salo was completely gone and over taken by Hextech/the hex core, Viktor who is speaking through Salo doesn’t reply to Jayce that Salo is alright, but instead Salo himself tells Jayce. If what you said is correct, then why didn’t Viktor just straight up tell Jayce that Salo was fine? To me that would have suggested that, no, Salo was in fact not fine. But instead Viktor let Salo talk.
Additionally, i think because Salo said that he would reach out to Viktor so that Jayce could speak to him, that him being almost mind controlled by Viktor was consensual in a way.
I don’t know why people are automatically writing Viktor off as a Villain already, when by all accounts, at least in this time in the show, he is more of a heroic character than a villainous one. And like I pointed out before, if anything, Jayce actually set him down the path in which he becomes a villain/the machine herald.
It’s like Oogway said “One often finds his destiny on the path he takes to avoid it”.

Ppls talk a lot abt how salo doesnt seem to breathe cold air, he doesnt feel cold in 5he chamber, he's not "living" anymore, just a hive mind and corpse
Also, we can see multiple versions of jayce before he kills viktor, jayce qas trying to talk it out, not kill viktor but then the "2nd will" killed viktor
Lastly, as viktor says "chaos wins" at the end, or something like that, the cogwheel finally falls and the side us the one with colour, chaotic splashes of colour, chaos did win over the clean side.

    “A singularity simultaneously self-replicating and self-annihilating”
So fun fact, a singularity in physics is something infinitely dense, like something that warps space time, like a black hole. And also a singularity is a name for when technology hits a point that it’s basically self persisting and evolves without human influence.
Interesting that the “wild rune” might be an intensely densely packed system of arcane magic, yet it still has space inside of it, or at least, an empty space as we can perceive it. Maybe that wild rune is like a capsule containing a form of concentrated arcane magic.
Also, I like to think that’s what Jayce experienced-he was constantly replicated and annihilated by the rune, maybe even across dimensions, as the rune constantly re-assembled and disassembled Jayce, like he was a curiosity for the rune to “learn” from. That’s part of why he vibrates and fades and sees flashes of the world differently. Maybe he’s still experiencing being dissected and rebuilt by the arcane. That would be fucked up lol

  • @CarlosHerasme

Something to add to the discussion:
I think what we're watching here is the reason why Jayce is known as "The Defender of Tomorrow". Probably, this is the way the Riot is telling the story of how Jayce got that title, or at least the beginning of it. In the other side, Singed "reviving" Viktor would also add to the lore by redirecting Viktor as what we know of him in the current lore.
I'm really anxious to watch the next three episodes. I hope we can see some time travelling done by Ekko, and it would be great if Camille or Renata appears because the Camille's family was already mentioned and Renata is supposed to be one of the people who financed the Viktor experiments in Zaun.

This is basically exactly what I'm thinking. You missed one part. Salo entered through a portal at the wild rune and took jayce out by touching wild rune corruption like heimerdinger did. We know it's a portal because sky says she heard something as the portal closed. So jayce doesn't 'come back' on his own, Salo enters the wild rune and takes him out or heals the corruption maybe. Possibly pointing to the fact that Viktor has some power over the corruption at least temporarily while he still has juice.
Also I think he was taking the hextech gemstone battery out to heal it, not try to recharge with it, but maybe that's wrong.
Also what do you think of sky being the main source of power for Viktor. Like her entire being was basically eaten for fuel by the void hexcore. That is what powered his butterfly like transformation into this hextech god. Sacrifice. Blood magic, death magic aka void magic combined with hextech. Which is why his power is finite. If he wants more power he would have to absorb more people. Why else would the rune just disintegrate her? Collateral damage? No. It consumed her and is powering his entire commune and healing with her energy. Maybe.
Also I think the hextech gemstone is the will inside jayce which is why he is hiding it. He's being pressured by the will of hextech to destroy the void corrupted arcane(aka shimmer hextech which is what Viktor is made of and the power he's using to create a temporary utopia)
Heimerdinger and co entered the wild rune of chaos when heimerdinger touched the corruption(which some people say might be the shimmer blood that Viktor coughed up over the edge of the rail in s1 but I'm not so sure of that)
Let me know what y'all think of these ideas

Great content btw

Ryze can teleport, but I don't think in the same way as what that mage did. That's some celestial level magic. I could be 100% wrong though lol.
