If you see when Jayce was looking at the people viktor save it’s like there a robot of some sort he took away stuff from them yes he did heal them but also kind of took there humanity they wasn’t themselves
And you can see through these 3 episodes that Caitlyn’s eyes were getting softer and softer so I really don’t think she changed sides that quick I just wanted to give my opinion on it and kinda explain it
the vi and cait thing happened because 1 you can see in the fast forward bit in the epsiode 4 and honestly the whole epsiode building us about the miss trust between cait and amberssa along with the idea of pushing peace not war and besides it is kinda logical yes your mind may not reach it but what if someone you invested alot of romantic time with then became an ex but you are the one who fucked that thing out of rush emotions. you would act on repaying them along with you already hate your boss who fking up your morals so no i do not believe it was rushed at all, because we also seen that in season 1,we used to it now. At least that what should have been
I actually thought that, while, sad, it also was kinda beautifull. In a world where people are capable of doing the worst things to others in the name of love, this little girl used her love to sacrifice herself in a completely selfless act. And she did it with a smile. I stay away from spoilers, even previes or trailers, so i dont know anything, but this could either destroy Jinx or inspire her to become the hero she was in Ishas eyes. For her. Maybe even both.
@ oh I’m not saying it wasn’t beautiful. The shot of her picking up the gun would already be my background if I didn’t have to answer why a small child was my background. But that point is she wouldn’t have had to if Jayce did anything right.
@@CarlieAndAngeThis Act 2 of Arcane just broke my mind. It's great to see Theory about Mel from Ambesa Cinematic Blood sweat and tears that she is Chosen of the Wolf is comfirned. #Gold glowing magic which even saved her and Jayce forn Jinx's rocket. And Necrit on his channel too didn't understand how good this was write by a human being.
19:00 watch them forgive Jayce right away when the inevitably flashback in the next act shows his actions to be completely for the greater good and possibly even REQUESTED by Victor himself somehow.
I have a feeling maybe when viktor corrupted the hexcore in season one when he combined shimmer with it and it took on that organic purplish look that maybe somehow it connected to the void. And now that it’s connected to viktor, viktor might think he is doing good, but it’s using skye’s image to manipulate him into actually creating a void army for it, because Jayce keeps seeing those people that were “healed” as like these void alien looking creatures in his flashes. Also when Jayce and salo was in that failsafe room, Jayce was visibly cold and you could see his breath, but salo wasn’t(almost like he wasn’t human anymore/lifeless)
ya jayce is considered the protector of tomorrow in lore, ekko the boy who shattered time sent him back to stop victor me thinks. the vision of the people all purple and machine like are victors final vision the glorious evolution no more human emotions or weakness. also the reason Sallio does even breath when in the hex core with jayce.
Nah fam, "Mongoose" immediately put her back into Season 1 Caitlyn mode. Nobody insults her so savagely as Vi does, and it snapped her back into the early days.
17:30 *Singed. Everyone left the tent to hear the groaning noise of Viktor's zombies falling. Singed went there and injected the serum into Warwick. He appears standing in the tent...
I hadn't heard about that explanation, but I looked around a bit and rewatched that part of the episode, and you're totally right. At least it is a satisfying explanation.
Whitout Singed the most likely scenario would be that Vander just loses his soul as the rest pf the people there. Singed's serum was the reason of Warwick's final transformation
@@nothanksxL He was left alone in the room with him, Singed's serum was orange. We also see him standing in the room during the carnage, grasping something in his left hand.
Cait instantly helping Vi makes total sense to me. Both are motivated by love and loss from family, If Vi says out of nowhere "remember my dad who tragically died? He's back and we're trying to save him" there's no way Cait wouldn't help. Vi would've done the same for her.
Um. No. Caitlyn is motivated by being a spoiled brat with absolutely no perspective or understanding of the world. Literally every choice she makes is the wrong one. Not to mention she's a war criminal. Gassing your own people with poison is a war crime and it's unforgivable.
Not to mention how much Caitlyn has been distrustful of Ambessa and her methods. I can't think of a better reason for her to turn on Ambessa, than to try to save her ex's father. If she had another shot to save her mother, I guarantee she would take it, and its the same thing regarding how she feels for Vi and Vander.
I think what also helps aid Caitlyn's mindset change is Singed and seeing what "evil" he had done out of love for his daughter and she saw that in wanting revenge for her mom she was essentially walking the same path leading her to potentially do unspeakable things, which isnt who she is.
For Cait and Vi, I think Vi's monologue to Ambessa about trust says it all. Especially the first point she brings up: honesty. Cait and Vi have always been honest with each other. Even when they meet in this episode after months apart, they immediately tell one another the truth about why they're there. You can tell there's still trust and love between them. On the other hand, Ambessa is manipulative and Cait has always been reluctant with her. Ambessa even said to Cait point-blank in a previous episode "You don't trust me". I imagine it really is as simple as: Cait loves and trusts Vi, and would want to help her get her father back. In comparison, Ambessa is just a warmonger that Cait saw as a vehicle to get revenge on Jinx.
People also forget, because the trope usually is that someone in Caitlyn’s position gets played, but Caitlyn has always been very smart and compassionate. So I actually liked that the writers didn’t go down the cliche route of “good, smart person makes uncharacteristically evil, stupid decision” bc of tragedy. Instead, we see how when push comes to shove, Caitlyn still maintains her core identity of being a smart and compassionate person.
100% agree. Watch caits face in the scene when she calls out Singed (dr revick) and he says something like, “why does anyone commit acts others deem unspeakable. For love.” You can see her realization in that moment that she’s been doing terrible things in the name of “love”

Wanna cry a little bit more? Fun fact: during isha and jinx montage we can actually see jinx’s eyes turning blue sometimes..meaning powder was actually there sometimes
I saw this on another RUclips comment, It was an interesting connection between Isha being mute, and Jinx stopping hearing voices the moment after she met her.
This is like my second rewatch of this episode and the first two times, I just got teary eyed from that Isha scene, now I'm just straight up bawling, its crazy
Watched all of Act 2 and my heart still aches afterwards. Act 2 will heal you up and then break you down again and watching edits of this episode on social media doesn't make it any better😭 Well done Riot well done. R.I.P. to Isha & Vander.
@@shiestyrecords3225 I don't think so, it would'nt make sense for her to appear here, in Ionia tho? gosh i hope we see her. The best noxian fighter ever existed? heck yeah i'm ready
16:32 “these writers like pain” I’ve never seen any writers deliver pain more consistently and thoroughly, and we can’t get enough of it. Wth. It’s absolute mastery.
I'm a Jayce defender. we're gonna see he was right the entire time come Saturday. Everyone is so mad at him, but they don't realize Ambessa was still going to march and kill everyone anyway. Vander went mad to Singed waking back up and injecting the serum, and also probably Viktor's influence due to the marks on his head and the work that went on for a few days.
i’m a jayce defender too, viktor created a hive mind! and vander only went crazy because of singed! he told ambessa that he had a way of making it impossible to bring vander back fully. the girls had all ran outside to see what the explosion was and singed injected him 💔
@@chance757 My only hope is that Victor planned and knew this would happen. And that this is all part of a larger plan. There have been signs throughout that he can somewhat see the future or is influencing it. He tells people 'I've been expecting you' and literally TOLD Jayce to 'visit him'. At first I thought he knew Jayce was gonna kill him...but Vic loked quite shocked at the end there lmao. !And also, why would Jayce cause their early demise before Ambessa'a army attacked? If the conclusion would have been the same either way?🤕 My brain and my heart is broken😭
@@mintski his in game title is literally “Defender of Tomorrow” so i believe he traveled to the future in the wild rune and Viktor told him to kill his past self so the hive mind doesn’t turn into something else void-like since he kept seeing purple eyes on the people.
A lot of people say Caitlyn's switch was too fast and I agree to some degree but not completely, because there are a lot of details in each episode and it's probably hard to keep up lol. as far as we know, it has been months since Cait took on the commander position, during that time she probably figured Ambessa's terrifying mindest and principles that didn't line up with hers, so in ep 4 and in the first interaction we see of them together after the time skip, you can see there's a clear divide and rift between the two, which leaves Cait with lots of doubts about Ambessa and whether she should be trusting her or not. Also, Caitlyn wans't the only one being used here, while Ambessa used Caitlyn's power being the commander, Cait used Ambessa to learn new fighting skills and to get closer to her revenge on Jinx, but also in episode 5, when the two of them were talking to the doctor and Cait asking him why he created Shimer, the doctor said it was for love, he's trying to save someone who's already dead that being his daughter, his anger and sorrow pushed him to do the unthinkable, this would also be a clear sign for Cait to realise if she doesn't control her rage towads Jinx, it would probably cost her her humanity. another intersting detail is , Cait went to the underground to take down Vander, but as soon as Vi told her that he is her father and she's trying to save him, Cait decided to help, and again she did it for "love", but this time is to save not to kill someone, IMO, this says a lot about Caitlyn's charachter, her heart was always in the right place, she was blinded by revenge for sometime, but time indeed heels, you just have to bearound the good ones and be smart lol. sorry for the long essay...
We probably are in the camp that the switch seemed a bit sudden, and its probably the only criticism we have so far, but you are right, there were some hints. I just think that the way it was built up to end Act 1, she was going to have a harder way back to Vi. She never really ended up being this “bad dictator Caitlyn” which it looked like she was at least going to struggle with at the end of Act 1.
@@CarlieAndAnge Caitlyn was never going to be the bad dictator people expected her to be because that goes against her character. After 6 months of grieving her mother, her rage cooled, and by the end her love for Vi is more than her loyalty to Ambessa. Rewatch the scene with Caitlyn and Singed, especially her reaction to when Singed says he does all these awful things "for love". Caitlyn does not want to follow Singed in doing horrible things in the name of love (with her case being with her mother).
@@CarlieAndAnge I think this was what the writters wanted us to believe but early in ep 4 when Cait said to Ambessa the "the blade cuts both ways" showed that Cait is a strong woman with convictions. Of course she goes bad in ep 3 but that was one moment when all colapsed. In her right mind she is strong mentally and not a puppet who would be manipulated by anyone
i mentioned this in my own comment on the video and i totally get both sides. the hints ARE there, but i think because we skipped over the months that have passed between the acts, we don't all get to feel it as well as others. i'm with carlie and ange; i also personally wish we got to see more of "bad dictator caitlyn" for even just a little bit. in the montage during the start of the act (paint the town blue), she still seemed quite angry at jinx. even when interrogating singed, she thought his actions were linked to jinx in a way (she wasn't completely wrong, but it sounded like she thought jinx was behind it all) what i wish we got to see was, idk, something about her seeing the effect of martial law on the zaunites maybe? idk. im not gonna claim im better than the show's writers, but i think there could have been more on that front. anyway, still a top notch show!!
Jayce came out of the hexcore like a man on a mission. Looks like a lot of time passed for him and during that time he has seen some shit. I trust that whatever Jayce saw and experienced while inside gave him a reason to blow Viktor to kingdom come.
On top of that the way Jayce seems to be seeing Viktor's followers (as these weird Arcane constructs with multiple eyes) and the fact that when Viktor was killed they just "turned off" alongside him, does seem to imply that what Viktor thought he was doing wasn't exactly what he was actually doing (He probably wasn't actually healing them, but instead killing them and turning them into puppets)
Even Warwick could have turned into a puppet of some sort imo but since whatever Viktor progressed was gone after he died, all that was left was the beast.
@@SPBADYouthMinistry I don't think that's what happened exactly, since Viktor wasn't able to fully "heal" Warwick/Vander, when he died it probably only reversed to how he was before going there... I think the way he ended up being after Viktor died is more likely to have been caused by Singed injecting him with the serum when everyone went outside to see what happened.
15:40 Saved the world, probably. Heimerdinger's been right at every step, after all. We know from S1 that the Hexcore isn't just alive - it's malicious.
Since episode 4 you have seen Cait resist Ambessa. Time has passed and she is less obssessed. She didn't think it would go on this long. In ep 4 she questions Ambessa about the force she used. In 5 she does her own research on Signed after Embessa breaks him out. Even in 6 she questions her teachings. The signs have been there that Cait wasn't totally on board.
The signs were there but I feel Caitlyn’s arc this season felt the most rushed . It’s a tiny nitpick as this season is still incredible but for that arc 1 ending it didn’t seem like a good payoff for her to link back up w the good guys so “easily”.
I agree. Given the ominous music at the end of act 1, I think the show wanted us to think she was going to become something of an evil dictator in act 2, but we see her pushing back on Ambessa as early as episode 4.
@edo27 did people really think she was going to be this ruthless dictator? It isn't who Caitlyn is as a character. The position was trust upon her. She can't say no in public with all the great houses of Piltover watching her. I too agree it was slightly rushed, but I feel people expected too much and wanted her to get too out of character.
What more elaboration do you need? Viktor can control anyone he touches - take over their bodies - what if Ambessa went and touched the Arcane and got Viktors abilities? It all has to be destroyed. She literally would just have to take the elevator down to that core room and the power could all be hers.
@@wallyspencer3253 These are hypotheticals. The "bad thing" hypothetical requires a bad person getting the power. If not Ambessa the Black Rose people, if not them a baddie we haven't met - the point is if a bad person got this power it would be catastrophic. Real world example nuclear weapons. At one point in time we knew disarmament was the only way to guarantee they weren't used for evil - everyone agrees to get rid of them entirely. Didn't work and now we live in a world where we have to worry about who the next person will be who gets that power, and how they will use it. But it also gave us nuclear power plants and efficient energy - two sides of the same coin as Viktor says. That which is used to create is also used to destroy.
One detail you might have missed in ep5; the hexcore chamber is kept really cold, so the breaths of Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger were visible when they spoke. Fast forward to when Jayce returns and Salo is present, you can see that there's no fog emanating from Salo's breath, like he has no core temperature. Viktor's reformatting not only turned people into extensions of himself, but it may have actually killed them but stayed animated as technorganic automatons
Warwick is bound to still be alive. Took me a bit to remember, but Deckard in S01 EP3 took a direct hit from the 3 hextec (balls?) and survived. So, considering the fact that we see Warwick has faaar more healing capabilities, I would be shocked if he's dead. However, I think Vander is gone. If the others in the Commune are actually dead, the part of Warwick that Viktor "touched" (which is Vander) will have met the same fate... I also think Viktor is alive, since he refers to "what happened at the commune" in the past tense. So we either got a full blown 4th wall break or he's reflecting on the events in that ethereal plane looking thing and potentially he'll be the opposite to Jayce: Jayce sees Hextec as the curse whilst Viktor might see human nature as the curse.
" death turned out to be the catalyst to fully completing the transformation, bringing him back to life as a savage chimera dominated by primal instincts." From league lore...i'm curious if they do this
@chrishw44 Damn, didn't know that. Guess we'll have to see with Act 3 if that was a reference to his "death" from the Council attack or his death in Episode 6. Eitherway *POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD FROM LEAGUE* he still hasn't reached the "final glorious evolution" that he is in-game, so I'm leaning to believing he's gonna survive, especially with the quote you pointed out.
Just a small point, that it doesn't really matter that much, aside from victor dying, what really pushed vander into the beast was the fact that singed managed to inject his serum into him, that's why he is so glowy and leaky
"Heal yourself" (to Viktor). That's what I think he did. When he first transformed, he mentioned sensing a charge instead of feeling cold. I think when he was shot, he took back the energy/charge he gave to the others so he could heal himself - taking the doctor's advice that Viktor must survive.
The fact that they make us sit on this cliffhanger is brutal… the anticipation is killer! Love this show! Y’all’s reactions are the best and always make the days a little brighter keep it up guys! ❤
I think the reason Caitlyn was so quick to switch sides was only minimally about Vi. I think Vi saying "I'm trying to save my dad" made Caitlyn think about what she would do to save her mom
One of my favorite things in episode 5 and 6 is Vi ACTUALLY being open to trusting and loving Jinx. She asks for her opinion, she includes her, she values her feelings. She knows her sister has changed and won't ever go back to being Powder, but she is willing to accept Jinx, as they now have/had another chance at a family. Vi really gets more hate than she deserves, while being one of the most grounded and relatable characters in the show.
Something that people often forget is that Arcane is supposed to the the origin story for each champion in League (Jinx, Vi, Warwick, Jayce, Ekko, Heimdinger, Victor, Caitlyn, Singed, Oriana, etc). Which means all of the characters in league have plot armor and literally cannot "fully" die..
@@samoodustani5198 yeah but they've retconned the league lore, there is only 1 cannon lore now which is Arcane. I've a feeling they're rewriting jinx's story coz even in the Act 3 trailer Vi says "maybe we could rewrite your story"
While we can be sure that WW and Viktor aren’t finished in the story, both Rioters and writers of the show have been hinting that the champions don’t have plot armor. This is after all the company that killed a champion and removed him from the game for a couple of weeks after his death
@@chance757 Not really, at least not in a sense of a permanent death. From Leagues point of view, no player wants to know that their favourite character that they playing every day is dead in the main universe. And the producers of the show know that.
3:36 Subtle Foreshadowing 4:45 Ange's peaking intuition on pain (on mashups this specific thing Ange says always ALWAYS is so audible even among a crowd its actually funny) 6:22 Carlie INSISTING that writers enjoy our joy (part 1) 9:59 Ange being OUTTA POCKET (but hes right) 15:16 Carlie INSISTING that writers enjoy our joy (part 2) (She thought Vander was healed and Viktor getting boomed wouldn't have consequences 15:25 "it is what it is") 15:46 Carlie finally remembers this show is Arcane 17:42 You can see how Ange directly blames Carlie for jinxing this tragedy (intended) 17:53 Ange hates being right Yall the realest and funniest reactors thank you for immaculate content
Your editor is truly the goat! Beautiful reaction, to a tragic arc. I don't know how they can do better in the next one, but I know they somehow will. This much trust can be put into the team behind this masterpiece.
There's no getting Singed on anybodys side. he says it in the vision Viktor sees - "His own shadow dissolved to darkness. Now the only course was forward. The only warmth, a dream of her waltz." This is a story he's reading his preserved daughter, but it's also VERY clearly also him. He only really cares about her and is willing to discard anybody else in the way to work toward saving her. Singed's lines are actually all pretty much perfect this season and he's turned out to be one of the most compelling characters quietly. EDIT: also if she is dead and just preserved which may be the case considering Singed's wording earlier, Viktor cannot save her... but I think also even if he technically could Singed already saw the writing on the wall that without Viktor these people are doomed and he would never doom his daughter by tying her fate to another person that way. though that's reading into it a bit
the ending of this episode really broke me especially when Isha puts 3 of the HexTech Gemstones in Jinx's pistol causing the pistol to become a bomb, like Jinx's monkey bomb!
Singed succeded on inject the serum on Vander, a bit before 17:09 during the chaos and Viktor speech Singed appears standing with the device on his hand, he was inside the same building from where Vander left.
Isha is died ! 3 crystals hextech ball she take it from Vi gloves , is like Powder in the season one : too powerfull to handle , but it's the only way to defeat Warwick bcs he's really strong
Not us crying ALL over again after rewatching your reactions to this episode. Absolutely heart-breaking 😭 We've been a silent fan of your channel for awhile now, but just wanted to pop in and say we love the vibe you both bring to your videos! You got fans in us 🤩💜
Not a lot of people caught that if you go back to season 1, the shot above the blown up council room, it looks exactly like the corrupted gear/coin that Viktor was holding
1:15 That's a great idea. Not joking. There are a lot of scientific concepts explained through magic here, even though it's more on the philosophical side of things. A theoretical physicist like Michio Kaku or someone like Bill Nye would probably love this
9:42 That's the shard of crystal he's always had on his wristband - the one that was leftover after the mage teleported him and his mum out of the snowstorm when he was a kid. It fusing with him is probably a sign of him 'touching' the Arcane and it affecting him, but I don't think it's what actually made him like this. 24:51 The serum was definitely for Vander, and Singed didn't get it to actually give it to him; Caitlyn choked him out before he could. EDIT: I should have listened a bit longer - you make a good point about him slipping away. He could have injected it after recovering with all the distractions going on, but I don't know if he could have gotten close enough, with how Vander was lashing out fighting Rictus.
I think a lot of us underestimate Jinx's emotional intelligence and empathy. Yes, she is unhinged and has done some messed up shit, but she could have been a lot worse this season all things considered. Vi was right in S2E5 - Jinx didn't need Vi's help to save Vander. She didn't reach out to Vi for Isha's benefit. She's genuinely thinking about others in this moment. S2E6 was vastly different to how Jinx was in S1 in terms of her feelings towards Caitlyn. S1, Jinx was obsessively jealous of her relationship with Vi. Jinx wanted Caitlyn dead and Jinx wanted Vi to do it. In the current continuity, it looks like she hardly cares about the history between them. I think a hint that we get in S2E4 is when Ambessa tells Caitlyn, "maybe I underestimated you. Maybe you have the strength I do not. To forgive and trust in tomorrow." Caitlyn is facing her own struggle too when it comes to her views on Jinx. Jinx directly killed Cassandra Kiramman. It's not an easy hurdle to cross. But Caitlyn isn't one to be lied to and manipulated by Ambessa, at least not completely. She may come to elicit Jinx's help in defeating Piltover and Zaun's true enemies.
J'écoute toutes vos réactions d'arcane mais la je dois mettre un com: la reaction de ange à la fin de l'épisode qui parle de l'acte entier et l'analyse sont très exactement le sentiment que j'ai eu
I love that you guys are able to break down and articulate your insights so quickly after watching. I often have to take time just to process everything. Also have to admit to having a crush on your wife.
You can see Singed standing and walking away in the final quick cuts, Singed delivered the rage injection while they were distracted with the Jayce fallout.
i can’t stop thinking about how in the season 2 trailer jinx has the pink eye black on in that one clip at the end just like how isha had it in episode 5. now in hindsight i’m thinking she probably does that as a tribute to isha 🥲
18:18 What a beautiful and somewhat funny moment that shows the amazing writing present in this show She finally fully breaks into tears and it's with the words "She said pew" 😂
Once everything goes to shit, theres a couple of frames where we see Singed standing up in the building where they were. While I'm not convinced that Jayce killing Viktor had no effect at all on Vander, it's clear that Vander being enraged again is because Singed got to him and gave him whatever he was making just earlier
The track they played during Vander’s transformation back to Warwick is the same track that played during his, Mylo, and Claggor’s death in S1. It’s called revenge. This show….
Caitlyn changed when she heard what was the driving force for Singed monstrosities - love. And she realized she is basically doing the same for the sake of her love towards her mother she lost
you guys should rewatch scenes with jayce looking at viktor’s followers; he sees flashes and they look different in them. it happens while he’s talking to salo and when he’s stumbling into the commune before he points his hammer at the young boy. see if you can pause to see what he sees, the animators didn’t draw them that way for no reason…
I think you can kinda see Cait starts to go back to herself from episode 4. Time has passed and she's seeing the effects of the martial law, it made her see the wrong things she's doing just to get Jinx. I think the line "why is violence always the justification of peace" is a big implication of that. She already doesn't like the idea of using a monster as their weapon so when she sees Vi again and realized she's just trying to save her Dad that's the final straw for her to really stop trusting Ambessa
singed injected Warwick with the serum he made, thus setting him off like that. Also it may sound crazy, but trust my man Jayce, he knew what needed to be done.
I understand some of the pacing complaints it can feel a bit overwhelming at times but I think the quality of the writing makes up for the extremely fast pacing, for Vi and Cait’s reunion the reason I don’t it’s weird they’re not beefing is cause for the first time in a long time Vi is happy, she has her dad back she has her sister back she’s hopeful again so when she sees the person she still loves she’s not aggressive towards her. Cait on the other hand was still aggressive towards Vi but as soon as she heard her dad needs help she helped Vi because she still loves her, but they’re definitely going to have some sort of argument or conversation next act because Vi isn’t going to kill jinx or let jinx be killed anymore she knows there’s still good in her sister
While losing Isha and Vander in one shot (pardon the pun) is tragic in itself….it is also a much darker, and poetic moment at the same time. Vander was fully aware of what was going on when Warwick was on the rampage….but like a passenger in a car, he was completely unable to control it when it was happening. Imagine being in that situation where you see the carnage “you” are causing, and being 100% helpless to stop it. So when Isha pulled the trigger….she was doing Vander a kindness. But…now with act 3 looming tomorrow…there is a lot to actually be afraid of, especially on the Cait/Vi/Jinx front, because nothing is going to end well or be an easy resolution for any of them. Cait will likely still never be able to forgive Jinx/Powder because she killed her mother, which isn’t good for Vi. Vi can’t ever get past the trying to get her sister back to the “good side”, which will always cause problems with Cait. Jinx/Powder will ALWAYS be known for the death and chaos she caused, which will always be something Vi has to be associated with. Cait can’t kill Jinx without losing Vi forever, Vi can’t NOT let Cait have Jinx and still get her cupcake, and Jinx can’t just be let go for everything she did, which will cause Vi to lose Cait. It’s not going to be a happy ending in Act 3…and I am NOT prepared for it.
That last line: “That which inspires us to our greates goods, are also the cause of our greater evils” - assuming that Viktor lives thru this, bc I really don’t think that was enough to kill him, I can’t help but feel like this line is going to end up being about his action more than anyone else’s.
You guys need to trust in my man Jayce 🙏 i think they made Jinx and Isha development so shortlived for it to hit more in her death Also, Caitlyn was not trusting ambessa too much after the timeskip
I honestly think the show could end right there and still make a more salient point than most shows could accomplish in 10 seasons of effort. Best episode of the season for sure
i'm with you guys, the episodes were PEAK. but i also wish there was more in between. i know there's supposedly a short time jump between the two acts (cait says something about keeping peace [or the martial law being effective] for months) - but i wish we actually got to feel that time. like, people have said that cait in those months may have calmed a little from her rage and had more time to process the grief of losing her mom - but we don't quite go through that journey with her, and that's why i think her going back to vi felt abrupt. definitely love isha SO MUCH. i'm also really worried for jinx, how losing her is gonna affect jinx in the next act. idrk. and i'm so so curious about what jayce has seen, because that was a 180 switch from "hextech SAVED viktor's life" to "hextech is a MISTAKE" you know? i think he's seen some shit lmao. like he sees the people viktor "has helped" as wrong somehow; he sees something that we don't and i'm curious as to what that is. i know a little bit about LoL lore (though i've never played the games), so i have some theories, but i won't say and i'll just wait til the next act love your reactions!! here's to the next and final act of arcane this weekend :')
ACT 2 was PEAK!
If you see when Jayce was looking at the people viktor save it’s like there a robot of some sort he took away stuff from them yes he did heal them but also kind of took there humanity they wasn’t themselves

It was 2 things. Victor dying because you can see the fingerprints on his head and the imprint of singed syrum imprint on warwick.
Whitout Singed the most likely scenario would be that Vander just loses his soul as the rest pf the people there. Singed's serum was the reason of Warwick's final transformation
@@martinw2235Can you explain where? I looked twice for when Singed injected Vander and haven’t found it.
@@nothanksxL He was left alone in the room with him, Singed's serum was orange. We also see him standing in the room during the carnage, grasping something in his left hand.
Vi : I'm trying to save my dad.
Caitlyn, who lost her mom a few months ago and hasn't recovered yet : I'm in.
Also Cait seen how singed acted out of love, I believe she saw herself a bit in him and how far they would go for something or someone they loved

This arc needed one more episode exploring Cait's downfall before the time skip.
In her right mind she is strong mentally and not a puppet who would be manipulated by anyone
i mentioned this in my own comment on the video and i totally get both sides. the hints ARE there, but i think because we skipped over the months that have passed between the acts, we don't all get to feel it as well as others. i'm with carlie and ange; i also personally wish we got to see more of "bad dictator caitlyn" for even just a little bit. in the montage during the start of the act (paint the town blue), she still seemed quite angry at jinx. even when interrogating singed, she thought his actions were linked to jinx in a way (she wasn't completely wrong, but it sounded like she thought jinx was behind it all)
what i wish we got to see was, idk, something about her seeing the effect of martial law on the zaunites maybe? idk. im not gonna claim im better than the show's writers, but i think there could have been more on that front.
anyway, still a top notch show!!

15:51 When you kill the necromancer and the undead start falling apart
Jayce came out of the hexcore like a man on a mission. Looks like a lot of time passed for him and during that time he has seen some shit. I trust that whatever Jayce saw and experienced while inside gave him a reason to blow Viktor to kingdom come.
He also instantly went somewhere else after killing Viktor as if his „mission" isn't completed yet.

"Jayce? Jayce? What are you doin there bud? Jayce use your words! Jayce NO!" - My thoughts in that scene.
What more elaboration do you need? Viktor can control anyone he touches - take over their bodies - what if Ambessa went and touched the Arcane and got Viktors abilities? It all has to be destroyed. She literally would just have to take the elevator down to that core room and the power could all be hers.
@@ColinPoole or what if viktor managed to take over ambessa

Vi was the catalyst, she was already switching from episode 4.
Which means all of the characters in league have plot armor and literally cannot "fully" die..
what you forgot is some of those characters like Jinx don't have much growth left
didn’t the creators say they can though?
@@samoodustani5198 yeah but they've retconned the league lore, there is only 1 cannon lore now which is Arcane. I've a feeling they're rewriting jinx's story coz even in the Act 3 trailer Vi says "maybe we could rewrite your story"
While we can be sure that WW and Viktor aren’t finished in the story, both Rioters and writers of the show have been hinting that the champions don’t have plot armor.

There's no getting Singed on anybodys side. he says it in the vision Viktor sees -
"His own shadow dissolved to darkness. Now the only course was forward. The only warmth, a dream of her waltz."
This is a story he's reading his preserved daughter, but it's also VERY clearly also him.

Jayce couldn’t go another season without getting a child killed
Not a lot of people caught that if you go back to season 1, the shot above the blown up council room, it looks exactly like the corrupted gear/coin that Viktor was holding
1:15 That's a great idea. Not joking. There are a lot of scientific concepts explained through magic here, even though it's more on the philosophical side of things. A theoretical physicist like Michio Kaku or someone like Bill Nye would probably love this
There's a quantum physicist reacting to arcane search for "stories with style"
You guys didn't notice but the serum singed had was already actually used on WW/Vander, that's why he's all orange and lava-y
0:40 - So.... about that... 😭
J'écoute toutes vos réactions d'arcane mais la je dois mettre un com: la reaction de ange à la fin de l'épisode qui parle de l'acte entier et l'analyse sont très exactement le sentiment que j'ai eu
I just finished watching Act 3 of season 2 and it's both amazing and sad☺️😭
I love that you guys are able to break down and articulate your insights so quickly after watching. I often have to take time just to process everything. Also have to admit to having a crush on your wife.
I have a crush on her as well. Its all good 😆 glad you’re enjoying the videos!
Damn
22:20 I definitely agree with Ange, I think another arc would do wonders for this season
Been waiting for this one 😭
the song is beautiful, and it is even more beautiful when you read the translated lyrics.
THE CARLIE FORESHADOW IM LAUGHING AND SOBBING AT THE SAME TIME
18:18
What a beautiful and somewhat funny moment that shows the amazing writing present in this show
She finally fully breaks into tears and it's with the words "She said pew" 😂
Once everything goes to shit, theres a couple of frames where we see Singed standing up in the building where they were. While I'm not convinced that Jayce killing Viktor had no effect at all on Vander, it's clear that Vander being enraged again is because Singed got to him and gave him whatever he was making just earlier
The track they played during Vander’s transformation back to Warwick is the same track that played during his, Mylo, and Claggor’s death in S1. It’s called revenge. This show….
Jayce killing Victor was peak
Jayce nickname is "The Defender of Tomorrow" he's the hero here
Just here to relive the pain with you guys
men i love these two reaction!
cait: "remember, you MUST spit on me for the plan to work"
vi: "i don't think ther..."
cait: "TRUST ME. Now let's practise it"
she folded so quick for that "cupcake"😂
1st I thought Jayce really helping Viktor to physically go to space by blowing him,,,But then I realized Viktor crush landed
singed injected Warwick with the serum he made, thus setting him off like that. Also it may sound crazy, but trust my man Jayce, he knew what needed to be done.
Love the item and level difference popping up when jayce Q-Ed viktor lmao
GLORIOUS EVOLUTION
Jinx lost her emotional support orphan
I understand some of the pacing complaints it can feel a bit overwhelming at times but I think the quality of the writing makes up for the extremely fast pacing, for Vi and Cait’s reunion the reason I don’t it’s weird they’re not beefing is cause for the first time in a long time Vi is happy, she has her dad back she has her sister back she’s hopeful again so when she sees the person she still loves she’s not aggressive towards her. Cait on the other hand was still aggressive towards Vi but as soon as she heard her dad needs help she helped Vi because she still loves her, but they’re definitely going to have some sort of argument or conversation next act because Vi isn’t going to kill jinx or let jinx be killed anymore she knows there’s still good in her sister
omg i was waiting for this!!! here we go 🥲🥲🥲
Caitlyn heard the word "Cupcake" spouted everything😂
Ngl the items edit when Jayce kills Viktor was hilarious. W editor
Y'all 2 making me clean my ear pods to watch this 😭❤
That last line: “That which inspires us to our greates goods, are also the cause of our greater evils” - assuming that Viktor lives thru this, bc I really don’t think that was enough to kill him, I can’t help but feel like this line is going to end up being about his action more than anyone else’s.
You guys need to trust in my man Jayce 🙏
i think they made Jinx and Isha development so shortlived for it to hit more in her death
Also, Caitlyn was not trusting ambessa too much after the timeskip
I honestly think the show could end right there and still make a more salient point than most shows could accomplish in 10 seasons of effort. Best episode of the season for sure
i'm with you guys, the episodes were PEAK. but i also wish there was more in between. i know there's supposedly a short time jump between the two acts (cait says something about keeping peace [or the martial law being effective] for months) - but i wish we actually got to feel that time. like, people have said that cait in those months may have calmed a little from her rage and had more time to process the grief of losing her mom - but we don't quite go through that journey with her, and that's why i think her going back to vi felt abrupt.
definitely love isha SO MUCH. i'm also really worried for jinx, how losing her is gonna affect jinx in the next act. idrk.
and i'm so so curious about what jayce has seen, because that was a 180 switch from "hextech SAVED viktor's life" to "hextech is a MISTAKE" you know? i think he's seen some shit lmao. like he sees the people viktor "has helped" as wrong somehow; he sees something that we don't and i'm curious as to what that is. i know a little bit about LoL lore (though i've never played the games), so i have some theories, but i won't say and i'll just wait til the next act
love your reactions!! here's to the next and final act of arcane this weekend :')
I had a great laugh when you had that black and white preview and she said "pew pew"😂😂😂
