Or maybe it is indeed about Jinx being a reason that this world is alright, but in a way that yes - she could work with them, but she chooses not to, which is a good decision on her part.
I think hextech was never invented because Viktor did not support Jayce after seeing a child die because of his research, and then after being pardoned by the council, Jayce yeeted himself from that building, since Viktor had no interest on him, there wasn't anyone to prevent him from yeeting himself.
At the beginning of the episode, it is shown how Ekko's consciousness from the main timeline enters Ekkos's brain in the other timeline and takes control of him.

I was literally bawling my eyes out about how beautiful and heart mending Ekko and Powder are when they’re dancing and connecting and then 💥BAAMMMM💥 the scene cuts to Jayce absolutely fighting for his life in the most dystopian desolated depressing alternate universe 😂😂
Jayce: Sees literal hell and destruction of everything around him, lives alone in a pit for weeks (at minimum, no idea how long it was, months?), finally climbs out with a broken leg, hikes from Zaun, across the bridge, up to the Hexgates, has to daringly leap from one piece of floating to another (if he falls he dies), finally gets to the top and realizes it’s more or less his doing that leads to this outcome, then gets sent back to try to stop the end of the world from happening. Everyone: JAYCE YOU MONSTER I HATE YOU RAHHHHH!!! HOW COULD YOU, YOU ARE DEAD TO ME!! 😂😂😂
I adore both Jayce and Viktor, (the latter even more than the former but they've always been my top two), and I still couldn't be onboard with the Jayce hate even after S1. Then S2A2 rolls around and the crowd is angry at him again, but it really never stuck for me. There had to be a reason he attacked the second most important person to him (after his mother), and we finally got the answer. Now they have eachother in whatever abyss they're stuck in away from that timeline.
hearing carlie say “where’s silco” brought me so much joy… i was thinking about him the whole time and when i almost lost hope, he popped up and i screamed. one of my favorite characters of all time, love when reactors appreciate him
Fun fact about Viktor's voice actor. If you've ever watched Game of Thrones you've heard/seen him before. He was the actor who played Prince Viserys Targaryen (the guy who gets head dunked in molten gold) in season one.
Holy crap, that guitar cover was fantastic! The focus on the little drawer on Vi's shrine was to point out that Powder kept the hex crystals from her reality's accident. It also sort of implies that their Jayce either died in or was exiled after the explosion since no one pushed forward with development of hextech. No Jayce and Viktor team up, no hextech. On top of that, this Powder was wise enough to let Ekko just use the shards he found when she could have given him a wholly intact crystal. This is a Powder who is profoundly different and much wiser. This episode has some of the best subtext on how events have/could change the trajectory of a characters whole existence. It is also the first time I saw them address the fact that if Ekko hadn't give Vi that tip, then none of the terrible events of this series would have happened. Not that it is fault but that little flap of the butterfly's wings did start a tsunami which is threatening his whole reality.
I've been waiting for your reaction to this episode because I just knew you two would be heartbroken by this. Me and many others are devastated by what Ekko and Powder could've been 😭
That last scene shows that the reason they got to live like that is because Powder/Jinx kept and hid the stones used for Hex Tech, therefore it was never "invented". That's why she is told twice "what would they do without you?". She might have known all along what those stones could do yet decided to hide them and never use them.
@@JagdWehrwolf here is how i think it plays out. Ekko left, gets replaced with original ekko from that universe. Ekko is confused about changes in Powder and she tells Ekko everything that happened. They try to continue their lives as normal as possible considering what transpired (i mean for Ekko at least it cant be easy to just accept you were replaced for the short time by another version of you) but more time Powder spends with Ekko more she thinks about the research she did with our Ekko. With that constantly on her mind thanks to spending all the time with her Ekko and looking at the VI mural eventually Powder will start using her own gemstones to recreate the time traveling object in order to use it and save VI, leaving the gemstones behind. Since theres no explosion, Jayce continues his research behind council's back and hextech gets discovered anyway, railroading situation to the same outcome that ends with glorious evolution. THAT is where Jayce is during this episode. Because remember, Heimerdinger mentioned that they got separated across time as well and that he was waiting for Ekko roughly 3 to 4 years (you can do the math if you want but it was over 1000 days) so all 3 of them were in same universe just different time periods
You being surprised that Powder still had an Ekko, thus not getting shafted by life yet again, was hilarious and also very relateable. I was also expecting that to be another gut punch, but it was instead bitter sweet.
This episode was so god damn cute... i didn't want it to end! JInx is such a masterfuly written character in this show. Became one of my favourites of all time
@24:07, those were the unperfected gemstones that killed Vi in that universe. It's really a question of whether Powder (in that universe) will try and go back to try and save Vi or be content with what's occurred... Only time will tell if that Universe will see another "Jinx" ;)
Here's a fun fact: In League of Legends lore, Yordles are beings that are "immortal". When they die, they just return/respawn to their spiritual home place called Bandle City. Heimerdinger is not dead, but he either respawned in that timeline's Bandle City, or his original timeline's Bandle City. Who knows.
Because Powder kept the remaining stones, Jayce in that universe never had the chance to study it, hence Hex was never developed. Powder singlehandedly and unknowingly stopped doom in that universe.
I really really really love what the writers did with episode 7. I was afraid they would "save" Jinx with Ekko's love or something like that. But they didn't. Ekko could have the "good ending" but decided he needed to go forward and give up any hope she could be normal again. It's sad but so beautiful. I also like the implication that the sisters' relationship is cursed and that Powder is happy because Vi died, breaking the curse.
Vi dying and Powder keeping all of the Arcane Jayce had...kinda means Jayce was either sent to prison/exiled as his illegal experiments caused death, or even if he somehow avoided that without all the crystals he never creates Hextech, meaning....he most probably commits s*icide and Viktor dies of illness as without Hextech and Jayce he has no cure...hence we get the Arcane-less timeline.
19:22 For those who don't understand the lyrics from Stromae " I love you, I'm leaving you " here the translation : - Robotic voice : I love you, I love you and I'm leaving you x4 - Ekko (Stromae) : You are the best thing that happened to me but also the worst thing that happened to me, that day when I met you, I would perhaps have preferred, that this day never came. The worst blessing, the most beautiful curse, I should get away from you, but as the saying goes, rather than being alone it is better to be poorly accompanied. - Ekko/Jinx : You know what they say, - Ekko : be close to your dearest friends, - Ekko/Jinx : but also, - Jinx (Pomme) : even closer to your opponents. - Ekko : But my best enemy is you, run away from me, the worst is you and me. - Jinx : But if you are still looking for my voice, forget me, the worst is you and me. Why does your name hurt me, when it hides, right there in space what emotion, is it hatred, or the sweetness when I hear your name ? I told you, don't look back the past that follows you, makes war on you. - Ekko/Jinx : but my best enemy is you, run away from me, the worst is you and me, but my best enemy is you, run away from me, the worst is you and me. - Robotic voice : I love you, I'm leaving you x10
Interpretation but, the end shows the crystals in the drawer, I see it as Powder saved her timeline by hiding the arcane and hextech possibility from Jayce and the world. Ergo the moments where she is egged on to be more ambitious and don't live small.
I think this episode should have been named ,,What could have been,, As homage to song form S1 ep9 Also , one of reasons Hextech dont exist in alt-reality , is because Jinx/Powder have all proto-Hexcore pieces. and research was most likely destroyed by explosion.
I have a feeling they didn’t call it that because both this timeline and the original are real. Ekko leaving doesn’t remove the timeline. In THIS timeline, Powder and Ekko live a happy life
Arcane's Saddest Episode is it's Happiest. I'm salty man. They barely gave us a kiss. That was more of a smooch. ✋🏻😭🤚🏻 EP8 made me hate this more because they have THE AUDACITY TO MAKE an lovely scene there for 30 seconds but Powder and Ekko barely had a second the bias and the Double Standards is crazy 💀. Love the dance scene though.
The Dance scene: The song played in the background is called " Ma Meilleure Ennemie" a French word when translated to English means " My Best Enemy". The song literally begins with " I love you, I'm leaving You, I love You, I'm Leaving you". The dance scene is in 4fps because that's the time limit of Ekko's device.
That whole sequence of them inventing together under Heim's wing was so beautiful, I teared up so hard at that. Seeing Powder thrive was so incredible. This was always her calling, she is a genius. Just like Ekko. And that Z drive scene was incredible. "ONE!" most badass delivery and I never knew an invention scene could be so epic!
Ange, your cover was sublime. Thank you for gracing my ears with your gift of music. 💙 And thank you both once again for your reactions. I always look forward to seeing them.
The ekko and jinx dancing scene is one of the most beautiful scene❤❤.. perfectly done🛐..the amazing french music that goes along with the scene🙂↕️..I cannot get them and the song out of my head🫡
You'd think that you'd love that our accent has no hard "r"s, so we can't pronounce any of your dirty american words or the Spanish words americans think are English words.
I like how you can tell that Silco was more inclined to forgive Vander in this universe primarily because, unlike the other one, his left eye didn't get infected by the river toxins
Btw, one of the reasons Jayce wasn't dragged to the same parallel dimension, is because the Jayce there also died in that explosion. And that's why there is np Hextech inented
Hey , loved your cover , the react as always , just a little reminder for all of you who don't know "the original lore" , Heimerdinger is a Yordle and can't really die , he just basically respawn in Bandle city , that's why he say "back in a blink" , still sad tho that even after basically immortality he only began to truely live since he met Ekko
The last scene indicate that all this time she has the gemstones so make a hex core but ekko never knew that he's never seen her with them Also that necklace design ekko gifted powder apparently is a flower that indicates "a love that can never be" so yeah some himmel the hero sht with this man 😢❤
The yordles are ancient (?)magical creature. They are tied tightly to magic. I think I heard/read something about: When a Yordle died, they just respawn/recreated/reborn in Bundle city(bandle?)/ Yordle realm. So I think heimer is fine.
I have the answer: at the end, when it's showed thet powder have several gemstone she decided to repair the broken one with Ekko so she can spend more time with him during the project.
To say I NEED an Ange cover of Spin the Wheel (the song Heimerdinger sings) next reaction is the understatement of the year. Honestly my favorite song of the series.
A cool detail I didn't ser anyone talking about is the fact that powder had more hextech gem fragments, but didn't use them because she realized ekko was not from that timeline and wanted to spend more time with him. At least, this is how I interpreted the scene where she puts the pendant in the drawer.
3 notes into the cover and i was crying Ekko has a line (in game i think) about having a crush on Powder until she started talking to her guns this episode is very bittersweet, because it shows us, and our Ekko, what could have been if Powder never became Jinx i am glad that the alternate reality Powder gets a happy ending about Heimerdinger, there are 2 possibilities, in the lore when Yordles die, they reapper in Bandle City; so maybe that happened to Heimerdinger, the other possibility, is because of the anomaly, it interfered with that and Heimerdinger is permanently dead. I think Heimer himself wasnt sure what would happen, which makes his sacrifice even more impactful for me
i just realized, the dance scene is slowed down to 4 fps to represent Ekko's ability to go back in time 4 seconds. Meaning he relived that scene over and over and over and over and over... every little bit of that scene. and then during the kiss when he says "can we pretend like its the first time". just how many first kisses with powder did he relive?
In league lore Yordles are a magical race that is immortal. When they die they just reappear on bandle city, their magical city. So its safe to assume that Heimerdinger is alive somewhere, we just dont know if he's on that timeline or the main one.
My theory of the sequence of events in this alternative world: After Vi died during the accident, Jayce's research was discovered and this time, having caused the dead of a kid, he wasn't let go with just a slap on the wrist, even if Mel tried to intervene, he was probably banished or imprisoned. In Zaun, the dead of Vi probably caused all of them to unite against piltover, causing Vander and Silco to forgive each other. In order to avoid Zaun finding out that one of them was researching something so dangerous and forbidden, Piltover decided to accept the blame for the dead of Vi even if they were technically the victims, opening the space for negotiations between the two cities.
In League lore, Yordles are essentially immortal. Heimer's not dead, but no clue where he is. Most likely is back in Bandle City where Yordles are from.

Or maybe it is indeed about Jinx being a reason that this world is alright, but in a way that yes - she could work with them, but she chooses not to, which is a good decision on her part.
@@EragoTheOne I agree, with Jayce gone and the stones gone, and Viktor plus the council likely being less on board. It all contributed
I think hextech was never invented because Viktor did not support Jayce after seeing a child die because of his research, and then after being pardoned by the council, Jayce yeeted himself from that building, since Viktor had no interest on him, there wasn't anyone to prevent him from yeeting himself.
People don't realized that ekko and jinx are together in that timeline that's why he told her lets do it like its the first time
Yeah i thought that was pretty obvious....
@ I swear it was so obvious but most reactors I've seen watch this episode seem to miss it
I mentioned Jinx and Ekko in another comment section regarding this episode, and I got flamed for not calling her Powder. LOL
At the beginning of the episode, it is shown how Ekko's consciousness from the main timeline enters Ekkos's brain in the other timeline and takes control of him.
@@lextutor4682 what I never said it didn't all I'm saying is the original ekko body that our ekko went into was already dating before our ekko became him
I cried the whole episode because of how happy everyone is and how happy Ekko would've been, since he's the person who probably was carrying the guilt cuz he told his own friends about a tip that lead to a lot of them dying, he could've chosen happiness, but he decided to go back to save everyone *sobs again*
😂😂😂
Jayce really doesn't get a single break in S2 lmfao
Jayce was trapped in the Arcane for a full year
I know, it's terrible to treat him like that !
Most people with half a brain had nothing against Jayce, unfortunatly most people has less then half a brain
Finally, I've been waiting for this reaction since ep. 7 dropped haha
4:33 as soon as i realized which song you made cover i started crying 😭😭challenge failed successfully
hearing carlie say “where’s silco” brought me so much joy… i was thinking about him the whole time and when i almost lost hope, he popped up and i screamed. one of my favorite characters of all time, love when reactors appreciate him
r e a l. I've savored every Silco crumb we got in this season
Fun fact about Viktor's voice actor. If you've ever watched Game of Thrones you've heard/seen him before. He was the actor who played Prince Viserys Targaryen (the guy who gets head dunked in molten gold) in season one.
I’m literally crying when I heard Ange’s cover of Isha’s song
The way they cut from Ekko and Powder dancing to Jayce Going Through It™ destroyed me. It was literally the "jayce's subplot" meme
Sane and happy Powder is precious and must be protected at all costs 😭
The dance outfit? The blue eyeliner? I almost fell in love a little lol
The ending implies that since Jinx has all the hexcrystals she will eventually invent hextech in that universe. That's my interpretation
And yet she stored them away for years as a memento of Vi's death. Just as she has done with the pendant given by 'guest' Ekko.
@@JagdWehrwolf
here is how i think it plays out.
Because remember, Heimerdinger mentioned that they got separated across time as well and that he was waiting for Ekko roughly 3 to 4 years (you can do the math if you want but it was over 1000 days)
so all 3 of them were in same universe just different time periods
Ekko is so OP that he even after seeing how peaceful this timeline is, he still decided to go back to save his friends 🖤🖤
Just finished the show and this might be one of the greatest pieces of fiction that i've ever witnessed
Just remember: Powder's and Ekko's reality is as real as any other!
At least we have some consolation that somewhere they’re happy and together 🥹
You being surprised that Powder still had an Ekko, thus not getting shafted by life yet again, was hilarious and also very relateable. I was also expecting that to be another gut punch, but it was instead bitter sweet.
act 3 just started and Carlie already got them wipes out😂… that wipe gonna finish before the end act 3 😭😭😭
This episode was so god damn cute... i didn't want it to end! JInx is such a masterfuly written character in this show. Became one of my favourites of all time
"The guy he saw in the desert"😂😂😂
There were nothing but snow there
Cracked me up
So ? still a desert 😅
@@SebastianMartyniak come on
You know there are snow deserts right? Like, it's actually a thing.
@@dumindahashan5568 ofc I do. But what matters is what she ment by desert
Possibly my favourite episode of the entire series, this was just perfect in every way 😊
@24:07, those were the unperfected gemstones that killed Vi in that universe. It's really a question of whether Powder (in that universe) will try and go back to try and save Vi or be content with what's occurred... Only time will tell if that Universe will see another "Jinx" ;)
Those gemstones are not glowing so it's probably fragments which lost its power so it's unlikely
The sweetest Episode, its just nice to know they're happy somewhere
Vi dying and Powder keeping all of the Arcane Jayce had...kinda means Jayce was either sent to prison/exiled as his illegal experiments caused death, or even if he somehow avoided that without all the crystals he never creates Hextech, meaning....he most probably commits s*icide and Viktor dies of illness as without Hextech and Jayce he has no cure...hence we get the Arcane-less timeline.
If he was exiled he would kill himself...
6:35 great catch ange I didn’t see that!! It’s so subtle
Came for the reaction and now Im stuck replaying the cover- so good, you’re crazy talented🔥
19:22 For those who don't understand the lyrics from Stromae " I love you, I'm leaving you " here the translation :
- Robotic voice : I love you, I love you and I'm leaving you x4
- Ekko (Stromae) :
You are the best thing that happened to me
but also the worst thing that happened to me,
that day when I met you, I would perhaps have preferred,
that this day never came.
The worst blessing,
the most beautiful curse,
I should get away from you,
but as the saying goes,
rather than being alone it is better to be poorly accompanied.
- Ekko/Jinx : You know what they say,
- Ekko : be close to your dearest friends,
- Ekko/Jinx : but also,
- Jinx (Pomme) : even closer to your opponents.
- Ekko : But my best enemy is you,
run away from me, the worst is you and me.
- Jinx : But if you are still looking for my voice,
forget me, the worst is you and me.
Why does your name hurt me,
when it hides,
right there in space
what emotion, is it hatred,
or the sweetness when I hear your name ?
I told you, don't look back
the past that follows you, makes war on you.
- Ekko/Jinx : but my best enemy is you,
run away from me, the worst is you and me,
but my best enemy is you,
run away from me, the worst is you and me.
- Robotic voice : I love you, I'm leaving you x10
The leaving you bits are also smoothly transformed into I'm waiting for you
Interpretation but, the end shows the crystals in the drawer, I see it as Powder saved her timeline by hiding the arcane and hextech possibility from Jayce and the world. Ergo the moments where she is egged on to be more ambitious and don't live small.
I think this episode should have been named ,,What could have been,,
As homage to song form S1 ep9
Also , one of reasons Hextech dont exist in alt-reality , is because Jinx/Powder have all proto-Hexcore pieces. and research was most likely destroyed by explosion.
I have a feeling they didn’t call it that because both this timeline and the original are real. Ekko leaving doesn’t remove the timeline. In THIS timeline, Powder and Ekko live a happy life
In season 1 she also has all the gems no? Its probably Vi's death that forces a complete stop on anything close to hextech imo
This episode perfectly encapsulates "what could have been," which is exactly what the song in the S1 ending is called.
Love the cover 💙
"-90% better" KILLED ME 😭
Heimerdinger’s song tears me up so much man 😭
The Dance scene: The song played in the background is called " Ma Meilleure Ennemie" a French word when translated to English means " My Best Enemy". The song literally begins with " I love you, I'm leaving You, I love You, I'm Leaving you". The dance scene is in 4fps because that's the time limit of Ekko's device.
25:13 "Ambessa will obviously be on the next one" 😂😂😂
Sooooo ..., that's not gonna age well
Ekko and Heim: living the best timeline
Jayce: *Open world survival*
That whole sequence of them inventing together under Heim's wing was so beautiful, I teared up so hard at that. Seeing Powder thrive was so incredible. This was always her calling, she is a genius. Just like Ekko. And that Z drive scene was incredible. "ONE!" most badass delivery and I never knew an invention scene could be so epic!
bro playing leauge for so many years and hearing their voice lines in arcane its so surreal idk what an amazing show 10 out of 10
Ange, your cover was sublime. Thank you for gracing my ears with your gift of music. 💙
And thank you both once again for your reactions. I always look forward to seeing them.
Thanks legend! Glad you enjoy the videos
Harry Lloyd really did kill it as Viktor. His is a good actor all around, I even loved to hate him when as Viserys in GoT.
Didn't expect Heimerdinger to turn into Ed Sheeran in an alternate timeline
The ekko and jinx dancing scene is one of the most beautiful scene❤❤.. perfectly done🛐..the amazing french music that goes along with the scene🙂↕️..I cannot get them and the song out of my head🫡
Your first cover of arcane's ost was great, just like this one ! respect, keep up the good work ^^
"we dont pronounce the hard R we would say something like..." had me gasping for a sec lmao
You'd think that you'd love that our accent has no hard "r"s, so we can't pronounce any of your dirty american words or the Spanish words americans think are English words.
Holy crap that guitar intro!! you never miss Ange!!
I like how you can tell that Silco was more inclined to forgive Vander in this universe primarily because, unlike the other one, his left eye didn't get infected by the river toxins
Oh, that cover. 😭❤
I decided to watch this while eating lunch and that Isha's song cover made me tear up on my lunch
She'll eternally be missed❤😢
Btw, one of the reasons Jayce wasn't dragged to the same parallel dimension, is because the Jayce there also died in that explosion. And that's why there is np Hextech inented
From a fellow guitarist to another, you nailed it. Great job Ange! 😎
omg, thank you for this cover ;-; i love it so much, ange! i've never been more glad about imagine dragons' copyright shenanigans q:
Heimer belting out a Bob Dylan-esque track was probably at the bottom of my bingo card
Literally trying not to cry at the cover. Beautifully done
The last scene indicate that all this time she has the gemstones so make a hex core but ekko never knew that he's never seen her with them
Also that necklace design ekko gifted powder apparently is a flower that indicates "a love that can never be" so yeah some himmel the hero sht with this man 😢❤
The cover is crazy~ Full goosebumps
OMG THE COVER ANGE. How could you even record that without crying. 😭
The yordles are ancient (?)magical creature.
They are tied tightly to magic. I think I heard/read something about: When a Yordle died, they just respawn/recreated/reborn in Bundle city(bandle?)/ Yordle realm.
So I think heimer is fine.
dude the cover was so awsomeeeee !!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
As a long-time league player, I would have never guessed that Jinx (and Vi) would go on to be one of the best characters probably ever
I have the answer: at the end, when it's showed thet powder have several gemstone she decided to repair the broken one with Ekko so she can spend more time with him during the project.
Ange your cover was absolutely beautiful 🥹
Oh wow, man your cover is so dope wtf
To say I NEED an Ange cover of Spin the Wheel (the song Heimerdinger sings) next reaction is the understatement of the year. Honestly my favorite song of the series.
A cool detail I didn't ser anyone talking about is the fact that powder had more hextech gem fragments, but didn't use them because she realized ekko was not from that timeline and wanted to spend more time with him. At least, this is how I interpreted the scene where she puts the pendant in the drawer.
The box at the end is a box of secret for powder. the necklace Ekko gave her was not that universe Ekko. :D
3 notes into the cover and i was crying
Ekko has a line (in game i think) about having a crush on Powder until she started talking to her guns
this episode is very bittersweet, because it shows us, and our Ekko, what could have been if Powder never became Jinx
i am glad that the alternate reality Powder gets a happy ending
about Heimerdinger, there are 2 possibilities, in the lore when Yordles die, they reapper in Bandle City; so maybe that happened to Heimerdinger, the other possibility, is because of the anomaly, it interfered with that and Heimerdinger is permanently dead.
Got insta goosebumps when the cover started, damn... beautiful
The show is over, but these characters will live with me forever.
Thank you Arcane.
The riff was so good! Perfect intro :-)
this episode gotta be my favorite episode of this whole act
BIG CHILLS ON THE COVER MATE!!! 🔥🔥🥶🥶
Episode 7 is legendary, I don't believe they will make an episode like this again..
Dude that guitar cover almost made me tear up. Good shit
That cover was excellent. 10/10!
I'm ngl i don't think i would've had the strength to go back to my original universe after all that, Ekko is the real boy saviour
