- Hi Guys,
If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know this review has been in the pipeline for a while, and if you don't follow me on instagram, then... what are you playing at? @barkandjack
The Oris Divers Sixty-Five (65) is an amazing watch for anyone, but it would be the perfect watch for someone who is looking for their first serious watch, or first swiss watch, or first watch over £1,000 ($1,000).
Let me know what you think of this bronze bezelled Oris diving watch.

I wore a 'non date' Submariner for 19 years and a few months ago I saw this watch on the net and fell in love. Soon after I turned my Submariner back into a pile of cash and picked up the Sixty Five with the bronze bezel. It's just so much more interesting than the Sub. Now I'm no longer just another 'me-too' Sub owner but a watch fan with an extra $5000 in the bank. I liked the Sub and it served me well, but this I love.
So the sub you wore for 19 years was not beloved?
Avresti dovuto tenere il Sub e comprarti il Diver 65!
@@ManWithNoShame I can understand that. The "sub wearer" today is not the sub wearer of 19 years ago. As the "landscape" changes, so does the feeling within i guess. And "love" is a very overrated word to use discribing items as well isnt it?🤷♂
@@ManWithNoShame With an Oris, there’ll be less chance of someone is getting mugged. But I kind of agree that I would rather keep a 19 years sub instead of selling it. Not everyone is a collector, though.
Been looking at Oris for the last couple weeks since I've begun looking for my first really serious time piece and saw the 65 line and this watch in particular is incredible. The bronze elevates this watch to a whole other level and the creaminess of the faux patina lume markers pulls it all together incredibly. I am really looking forward to this piece being in my collection. In the US Oris doesn't seem to be a very big brand, from my limited knowledge but I am really hoping I find one some where to see in person and try on since seeing a beautiful watch and product is vastly different than just a picture of one. Good stuff, keep up the great content!
I have been thinking seriously of getting one of these and your video has tipped me over the edge. Good, no-nonsense review!
That’s a great review! Those close ups while you read the book are stunning! You may have tipped me over the edge to go get one of these Oris watches. Keep up the videos, I’m loving them all so far.
These videos are just getting better and better.
Thanks Corban. 🙌🏻🍻
Just got back from Basel, and Oris was a definite highlight. Some great new releases to come and these vintage divers are great looking, great value pieces.
Oris was great. Maybe my favourite.
That watch has a really cool vintage vibe. Thank you for sharing Adrian.
I pulled the trigger! Great watch! Thank you for the great reviews.
Well. It is funny to use a glove to avoid patina and you turn the bezel with your fingers when you have the hand in your pocket. Really nice watch.
Well. It is funny that it is his watch so if decided to use his hands than so be it.
-Sir Willie Stroker
I Clog Toilets he says in the video that he borrowed the watches for review. So they are definitely not his watches
@@lhoan004 who cares
Great review! I can’t wait to get this watch. I planned on getting the Oris chronoris, but now I’m thinking that’s gonna have to wait and I’m going to get this one first instead. Keep the great work.
Great video, great watch and great editing ! Cheers man !
That is one nice watch...i would have never really thought of oris untill you started reviewing them. So thanks.
What a beautiful watch! Definitely on my list! Thank you, Adrian, for this great review! Best regards
Just got the blue 42mm oris 65. Wasn't sure but pulled the trigger and I am now in love.⌚❤
Another winner from Oris, a real beauty.
You should seriously consider adding this one to your collection.
I just flipped mine after owning it 6 months. I really enjoyed it. Very comfortable to wear, nice size for my 7” wrist. The bronze detail didn’t patina but leather strap aged and darkened very quickly.Just a very nice watch with a cool heritage vibe.
I visited the store afew days ago. Great experience. Loved the new 40mm size as a pose to my 42mm 65 diver.
I just received yesterday “A Man & His Watch” so it was fun to see it in your video (if I’m not mistaken). Great review! Great video! Thank you!
Hey Danny, you’re correct. I haven’t had time to sit down and read it properly, but there are some gorgeous pieces in there. Enjoy 👍🏻
Is that the book you are reading in the video?
That watch is definitely on my hit list. Stunning
One reason I love Oris is, that they are still independent.
While I can appreciate the benefits of conglomerates like the Swatch Group (saving brands from extinction) , it´s still nice to know there are independent brands out there.
Alexander Krebs Not only are they independent, they escaped from Swatch/ETA!
Totally agree.it amazes me that anyone would buy a tag over an oris.such nice watches & they just do their own thing discreetly with minimal advertising
Just bought this as my first "proper" watch (while waiting for my AD to get me the almighty 214270). Arrived yesterday, could not be happier. It is an absolutely gorgeous piece. I only found this because of your review. So, big thanks for that...! Keep up the very good work... all the best, Chris
Oris and those diver 65's.. especially the one with the green dial - it's just stunning. One day .. one day :) Awesome video Adrian!
Wonderful review Adrian, best review I've seen on it so far. Pictures don't do it justice, do they?
wow, this is such an interesting watch. Awesome Oris gave you the opportunity to experience and review some of their watches. Curious about what more there is to come.
really like this one. as a understated desk diver, with the bronze, date at 6, and the amazing double domed sapphire.
I love the way you describe Oris as a company. You turned me into a fan of Oris...😄
Great watch, i have the navy dial & date at 3 o’clock. I also fell in love with the domed Sapphire, very retro look to it. I am always getting compliments on how beautiful that dome looks. And on a leather strap as well! Look wonderful dressed up too. Keep up the great content!
Thanks Robert. It was the dome that I fell in love it. It's perfectly done, and it's not very common to see. Good work buying one. I hope to do the same one day.
Cheers,
Adrian
the one with 3o'clock date is 42mm diameter, this one with 6 o'clock date window is 40mm also known as the movember edition. of course, if im not mistaken 😊
This video made me buy the watch (on bracelet) two weeks ago. Absolutely loving this watch! Thanks for the review!
It’s an amazing watch. Such much character.
I am about to buy one too!!😂😂
Great Watch! Bought the Movember edition and absolutely love it. Got the bracelet as well and it wears beautifully. Will go nicely with a blue BB58 I’m looking to buy as my next watch.
Great video!
Great review. Videos just get better and better. Beautiful looking piece.
Not sure why people complain about the movement, my Sinn104 has the Sellita and has not missed a beat.
Beautiful time piece... Thanks for the great review. I’ll be picking one up for myself.
Aah I cant wait for the Oris pointer date review! Im thinking about buying one since Basel World
Great review! Truly gorgeous watch. A bit out of my price range but loved hearing about the watch.
Pure awesome... from photography to watches to music...
Adrian. After watching some of you’re Oris watch video’s , I HAD to look at some at my AD. Yep, fell in love.
Bought the 65 Bronze steel deep brown. Then the Black 65 with the numbers inverted black in the colored boxes. Then the Save the Ocean, little thick, but again, I love it and all three.
Thanks for turning on to Oris !!
Stunner I've got the green face version and love it!!
I own this watch. Beautiful, it keeps time to +3 seconds per day. The strap turns a lovely chocolatey brown after a couple of months. Great value and superb quality.
I’m so glad you explained too why they use sellita and not ETA. Also, years ago Oris sold itself to the swatch group, the SG wanted to turn Oris into a entry level cheap watch and Oris didn’t want that and they bought it back off the SG.
Review is fantastic. I love the 65 with the green face.
Thinking of getting this for my first watch, great video.
I tried one of these on today on the tapered bracelet. Gorgeous watch. It’s made me question whether I should bother saving for a Black Bay.
Great content, love the production and music.
They really are great watches. I personally would push for a Black Bay still. Oris give you amazing value for money, but I think Tudor give you even more so.
I hope your next Oris review is a one of the new big crown aviators, the blue looks amazing!
Great channel and love that 65 thanks
Nice review, Adrian. It's very cool that you established a relationship with the Oris CEO and you were able to be loaned some product for review. One thing about the ETA supply crunch that you mentioned. ETA worked on thst with the Swiss government about 8-10 years aho as you mentioned, however, they are not limiting supply today. They realize too much revenue and profit from it so they steeped up supply again. But as many companies developed in-house movements in anticipation of the supply crunch or went to Sellita, some have stayed with the change they made like Oris.
It's funny, I literally saw this watch yesterday by chance and was immediately fascinated. It really is a beautiful piece when you see it in real.
Great watches these Divers from Oris. Just bought this one on steel to add to my blue and grey Diver 65 with the original dial.
Just got this one on bracelet. Looks even better in person, beautiful watch
Excellent video, and I agree with may of thepoints you made about this wonderful watch. Just one thing, maybe you could consider having shots of the movement when you're talking about it
Lovely channel, Adrian. Beautiful watch - I’m unsure whether to go for this or the vintage 65
So true about the strap that you mentioned and what it should be I totally feel you !
The first one is my new dream watch!!!
O M G I LOVE THIS WATCH!!! very beautifull!!!
Great review and I love this piece. Not a huge fan of bronze watches but I like the small touch of bronze on the bezel.
Love your intro music and music throughout your videos. Great editing too. Keep it up! #orisfanboy2
That's a beautiful watch!!
LOVE What ORIS is doing with their watches
Just bought this watch on a whim. I’m almost exclusively a vintage Zodiac collector. Was in a local AD today to drop off a seashell one of my boys found on the beach and asked to be made into a necklace. Saw this exact model sitting in the case and instantly thought to myself, that’s my next watch. They agreed to fit it with the steel bracelet as well as the rubber strap and by fault, threw in the leather strap.
Gorgeous - had the Diver 65 with the numerals for a year now - still an absolute delight to wear. Interestingly the deep black dial becomes increasingly a key feature once you see past all the others gorgeous little elements, including that dome! Would love to see a review of the Oris big crown Pointer date...
Gorgeous watch. Great video. 👍🏻
I don't watch the these videos without checking my bank account first. Solid watches reviewed that don't follow the crowd, but are excellent mixes of casual and dress. Keep up the great videography and reviews 👍
At the end there you rotated the bezel without the glove lol!! Beautiful time piece!
Beautiful watch. Great video!
Great Video. New bronze version looks nice.. similar to the 40mm Movember Edition I bought a couple of months ago (they only had the larger 42mm version in store at the time which was too big for me). Looks great on Nato straps as well. The thin case thickness is the icing on the cake for me (Black Bay is way too thick, and more $$$).
I have to say - being honest, I've always seen Oris as a bit of a "why would you?" option, given what else is available, particularly used, at that price point. But ... this is stunning. Absolutely stunning. Seriously tempted. Great review - thanks!
Hey Simon, I’m completely with you on that feeling. That was until I saw the Divers Sixty Five range. That swung it for me. Glad you like the review. Have a great Sunday. 🍻
Bought an Oris Diver 65 42mm on the bracelet. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks for the push.
Great watch. Good vid. Keep at it!
Great looking watch nearly bought one a while back, not to keen on leather on dive watches, looks great with their rubber strap.
nice review , very crisp shots
Good review, love Oris.
was my first serious watch too. love it especially on a Hirsch strap
I guess i have a thing about bronze.. or brass.. they just look beautiful.. Great review!
I have the Blue/Black face and it's become my everyday watch. Super comfortable on the rubber strap or bracelet. I got lucky and have only been losing about 3 seconds a day. That's better than I got with eta's and the 6139 from Seiko. My only regret is not getting the one with a black face and bronze bezel.....
It’s a beauty! I just bought a Tudor GMT and got an Oris Divers 65 42mm as a birthday gift 2.5 years ago. I’m thinking about selling the Oris 42mm to buy the new 40 or 36mm. But it’s a birthday gift and I won’t sell the GMT...
Superb. I'd have trouble deciding which dial option to go for though...as they are all gorgeous.
Neat...love that dial and I generally live watches having the date window at 6...amazing dial...
Nice review once again! I recently got the 65 with arabics and stick markers as I think that design has the most personality out of the heritage range. It came on the riveted bracelet which tapers from 20 to 14mm and is super comfy! Zuludiver also makes a nice aftermarket alternative for the tropic rubber strap which I got instead of paying a considerable premium for OEM.
The movement is basically a downgrade from the Top grade 2824-2 on my last watch, the Sinn 556 I. It has been running very consistently at +8 to 10 seconds a day which is still completely passable to me personally, but I understand people's concerns about an Elaboré Sellita in the price range. I did get mine second-hand for quite a bit cheaper than at the AD.
A rocket appartamento rocket machine! That is insane for a watch store! A quality product!
Nice piece of editing there, like the transitions too👍🏻👍🏻
I like the Oris 65 for its style. They offer it as well on a bracelet which has the riveted style like the tudors one.
Only flaw for me is the just 100m WR. They could have made it 200 to make it a “real” divewatch. Sure, I know, not necessary but still: a divers watch should have divers depth rating.
Anyhow it’s a phenomenal watch and I did enjoy, as usual, your Vid. Thanks and cheers from Germany, Konstantin 👍🏻🙏🏻
the depth rating is a bit silly, you have watches with 1000m depth rating but the world record depth for diving is something like 343m.
Diving from the desk to the vending machine eh? I do recreational diving and the most I have gone is 55M so the 200 is def not needed at all
@@josephschuhrej5823 You're taking those ratings too literally. Take a Hamilton with '100m' rating down to 55m underwater and see what happens lol. Dive ratings are basically figures of speech in the watch world.
Love the production quality and overall look of your videos! The music too (maybe put the artist in the description? I know the original but not this 'remix').
For a brand that was not even on my radar a few years back... there are now many Oris watches on my wish list. With the Sixty-five and the new big crown pointer date at the top. Oris is becoming one of my favorite brands in terms of style. The value for some of their watches is great, but this is a bit more expensive than I thought it would be.
The Moment I Wake Up - A U X
Cheers...
My next watch!!!In the same color and strap..Very nice..Love it..
I'm with you Adrian I like this and the big crown pointer date....Oris is making a step in the right direction
Boy, what a review but more importantly, what a nice sound!!! I read many don’t like it - I love it!! Could you let me know what it is?? Thanks!!
Quick note. Your taste in music is good. Love your intro tunes.
Thanks buddy. 👍🏻
@@BarkandJack Can you please share the artist of the tune?
Decided to trade with a new friend in the hobby, my 43mm Aquis Date for the 42mm green dial Diver’s Sixty-Five..it should be in on Tuesday, can’t wait!
Edit:
It came in on Tuesday, it’s a black dial 42mm Diver’s Sixty-Five; the photos I saw initially had made the dial seem green in the lighting. I love this piece and haven’t stopped wearing it since! The taper on the bracelet is just..perfection. Finally, a watch to take wrist time away from my Aquaracer 300m!
I just bought this watch. Got the one with the deep blue dial and black nylon band. I'm pretty hard on watches and usually stick to G-Shocks. Decided it was time to get something more upscale for all the swanky, ritzy high society events I never attend. HA! Great video, mate!!
Excellent video.
Oris makes great watches. I 😍 them, my go to brand.
Love this watch, I have the one with the green dial, it's awesome
Lovely watch but from a previous experience I would not trust Oris to look after their customers. Once a company loses that trust it doesnt matter how good their products are. Glad you liked them - great informative vids
I hope someone doesn't steal the Oris Bear like at Baselworld. Awesome video. Keep up the great work.
Best regards,
Sir Willie Stroker
Hey Sir Willie Stroker (best name on the Internet!) thanks again for stopping by. And glad you like the video. 🙌🏻
Could you please direct to the nearest SKWALEEEE?
Alexander Huber
Yes Sir lol. I adore Oris, Tudor and Seiko. But Squale what can I say? It's like the feeling I get when I bite into a York Peppermint Patty.
Best regards,
Sir Willie Stroker
The Suburban Gentry ahaha 🤣
Blatant copy of the urban Gentry lol
Love the Oris Product Placement in the Last season of Saprono's . When Christopher was in Hollywood.
Hi Adrian a great vid, as usual. That is a lovely looking watch. I may need to check one out. But I would need to swop out that leather strap. I know that the vast majority of divers will never see any more water than in a bathroom, but it just feels wrong. But I'll admit that it does compliment the look of this piece. I'm a bit disappointed that you had to read the ref. number. I thought that a man of your calibre would have remembered it .;) Keep up the good work. Can't wait for the next one.
Love this watch. 💙
Another fantastic video of a wonderful watch. Picked up one of these at a really good price a few months ago from Goldsmiths.
I have my eye on the ProPilot 10 day hand-wound model which features a GMT function too, amazing at the price!
Thanks for sharing. Paul
Beautiful beautiful watch. If I had enough money I would not doubt in getting one 👍🏻
Nice entry level luxury piece. For me the ladder up has been with the Sarb035, to a Shogun. Next up will be either that Sixty-Five with brass bezel or the Sinn 104 in white.
I have it on the bracelet. Awesome watch, vintage class!
Yeah I have this one for close to a year. Very nice and runs +3 sec for me a day.
Excellent review Andy. Oris is a very nice brand . I own the Big Crown D.26 286 with the green bezel which is limited edition. Amazing watch . Well made watches still low on price vs quality they offer. Andrian, do some review on Longines watches...Lots to talk about I think...cheers .
Great video, thanks. This is a beautiful watch! Oris is one of my favorite brands, they have such a broad range of great watches. This watch appears to be very similar to last years Movember edition, other than the bronze bezel, by any chance have you handled that watch and know the difference? Thanks again.
Great video, as always. I'm curious how you feel about the 36mm version of the bronze Oris Divers Sixty-Five.
I laughed at your explanation of your lie. Love the video and the watch! Thanks again. :)
