I have tried on the Oris (and love it) it fits perfectly on my wrist. Looks and feels just right. A far as the BB58, I'd love to say I have tried it on as well, but I have been to 4 dealers and none are in stock. This was a while ago, and I haven't looked since. I don't want to play Rolex games with a Tudor... for me if I had to choose, the Oris wins.
Well for the price of a Tudor you get 2 Oris watches so yeah it's not even a contest. The Tudor is maybe say 10% better than a Oris 65 or aquis (sw200 version) and now with the new Oris calibre 400 it's not even a contest.
I ended up going with the Oris in part because the Tudor was not available. The Diver 65 also had a Movember limited edition without the bronze bezel or the yellowed hands and dots, making it my favorite out of the three.
You really helped me decide on my Oris 65 bronze and I absolutely love it. Really appreciate and enjoy all of your reviews, and there’s something soothing about your accent. Please keep up the great work my friend! 👏🏼
Both great, but I already had the Tudor 41 and recently picked up the bronze bezel Oris with green dial. I have a penchant for two tone so also ordered the two tone SS/bronze bracelet. Tried on the 58 and 54, which are both great, but the way the Oris wears feels more flush to the wrist, probably more similar to the 54 without looking too small. I have a 7 inch wrist and the 54 looked a little too petite for me while the 58 felt to kind of jut out a bit too much. I didn’t expect that looking at the dimensions on paper, but the slim side profile of the Oris really makes it. All great for the money, just try them on and see what sings to you.
First choice would be the Black Bay 58, but if I also had the Oris, I would go for the Oris 65 with the funky arabics.... I also really love the Black Bay 36 S&G, both the black and champagne dials are gorgeous. :D
They’re both great watches. The Tudor is obviously superior in overall quality, but the Oris is no slouch. I think many people will opt for the Oris as it’s far more attainable. I hate that getting a new BB58 is so difficult.
I have the Oris 65 with a blue face. Like it very much. It runs fast...a few minutes a week. Has been serviced...still runs fast. I also have the Black Bay GMT with the Pepsi bezel. A bit clunky. Like it. My dealer can't get the 58. Small allotments
Date window ruins the Oris for me. I also think the BB has better dial proportion due to larger markers. Too much empty space in the middle of that Oris dial. However I like the Oris case and bronze bezel more. If I had to choose between the two, I’d pick the BB58. But I already have a BB36 which I like even more.
The best one is the one you like better. That said, I think these are both terrific value for money, but for that extra price of the tudor, you get some extra quality and refinement. I got the oris bc it was a great pre owned value, I had mine for less than 1100 usd, so the tudor would be at least double on the secondary market. I got a black seatbelt strap nato with khaki and grey center stripe, which I think, looks amazing.

It’s funny when I watch videos online it seems the Tudor looks better. But when I see them in person, the Oris looks more attractive to me. So I bought the Oris on metal bracelet in the end.. But still considering the Tudor as well 😅

No date divers 65 is mostly reserved for limited editions. Just like the timeless and hodinkee edition with hand winding. All the others have date 36 and 42mm has date at 3, 40mm (all new series) has date at 6. Beautiful watches, I have both (green diver 65 bronze bezel like the one you got) and bb58 on bracelet.
Both great watches. Oris is 50% of the price so it's a hard choice! I personally am leaning towards oris because of the crystal, date complication and a easily serviceable ETA movement. I also think there are too many BB58s around. Great watch, but it's almost too popular. BB58 is a fantastic watch though, however points above plus the price are pretty big arguments against it.
I also thought that the BB58 would be too obvious because of all the rave on the internet but I have yet to see a single oneon a wrist out in the wild.

An excellent comparison! Not sure if you mentioned that the Tudor has 200m water resistance as compared to the Oris' 100m. I bought a BB58 a few days ago and am quite disappointed. The hype about the watch is all bulls--t. Yes it's pretty and well built but the sum of its parts doesn't add up to much. It's too light, too small and has no real wow factor. Nice to look at and will keep good time but comparing it to the Oris Big Crown Pointer date which is about half the price gives the game away. The BB58 is simply over priced, and by some margin. I also have a Rolex 214270 Explorer and asked myself if it is worth more than twice the price of the BB58. The answer is an emphatic YES!
Intersting! I had an Oris Big Crown Pointer Date (bought new) which spent more time getting continually repaired under warranty than it did on my wrist, and that experience has stopped me at looking seriously at any other Oris purchase - a pity because I like the 'vibe' of the brand and the look of many of their watches. I too have an Explorer (albeit the Explorer II ref 16570) and I have to ask myself if it's worth 3 times the price of my recently-bought Tudor BB58 - to which the answer is an emphatic NO! - much as I like the Rolex, the Tudor seems better value to me. So a not dissimilar lineup to yours, but different strokes for different folks!
I think you're a slave to your previous watches as was I when I purchased it. I had a v large breitling Superocean Heritage on mesh and when I got my 58 I thought it had no wrist presence was too small and quite blah, extraordinarily I was wrong and not the watch, it was my concept of what a watch should be and have found I've matured with the watch. It's a tool to tell the time which it does v well, legibility is perfect, and it doesn't need to shout to anyone to be impressive. Sizing is perfect, with a nato you see the strap as well as the face on the wrist, it pairs with anything you ware, dress up dress down, wear it for 4 months then come back and state your opinion again, you might be surprised
oris is a 900$ watch compared to a 3500$ watch.. obviously the tudor is better and nicer.. But at the 3500/4000 price range, I think youre making a mistake buying the tudor - there are so many more amazing options around +`$1000 from the tudor.
Can you please tell us more? Thinking of getting my boyfriend the Tudor since he loves diver style watches. Now that I saw the Oris, it actually looks the more attractive than the Tudor.
Oris is trying too hard for my taste...the Oris looks dated, the Tudor retro but still totally up to date. Also this bronce bezel...why?!! does Oris think too sell more units if they thrash on a bit of the latest (I thought bronce is already out) flavor of the month material? With the sellita I would see a value below 1000 USD as realistic not more.

The BB58 is simply over priced, and by some margin. I also have a Rolex 214270 Explorer and asked myself if it is worth more than twice the price of the BB58. The answer is an emphatic YES!
I disagree. But respect your opinion.

But the Oris is 2000 dollars.
If you’re paying $2k for an oris65 idk what to tell you

ORIS🔥🔥🔥
Sold my BB58 it was so boring
Can you please tell us more? Thinking of getting my boyfriend the Tudor since he loves diver style watches. Now that I saw the Oris, it actually looks the more attractive than the Tudor.
@@daisymontague9515 Did you buy the Oris? Tell me more….
Tudor needs a date.
I have both and the 65 wears much better
Hi Joseph. Yes, it’s very slim on the wrist.
Best regards,
Anders
Yes more comfortable.
Up Oris!
The Oris has nothing to do what that Tudor.
Oris 65 with the funky black and blue dial, real vintage look. The Tudor is boring and chunky imo
👍🏼
Oris looks better
Cx
Everybody that has an Oris wants a BB58...no one that has a BB58 wants an Oris.
And both want a rolex 😆
You can get better divers for the price of the Tudor
Have both, sold the BB. Oris is my daily now...
Tudor is basically a Rolex homage brand. Oris is much more attractive to me. So your comment is nonsense.
@@drdesign6886 your comment is rubbish. All of Tudors movements and esthetics are different and have with stood the test of time!
The Oris is no match for the Tudor!
I would guess your mother tongue is Danish, am I right?
Danish Dynamite 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰
@@TimeAndCrown I love to guess where people come from by their accent ;) We love Denmark. Great channel keep up the good work!
@@bertone83 You are good at guessing correctly 👏🏻 Thanks 🙂
Oris looks better, movement is as a weak side
