Jenni Elle for me personally the case size is too small for me, nothing smaller than a 41. Love your channel where do I put my address just in case I win
With regards to the case size, the watch is MEANT to wear smaller and it's not even really that small anyway, being 39mm in diameter and over 47mm lug to lug. I love the fact that my '58 has no date. It just makes the dial so much cleaner, it's more faithful to the original watch and if I need the date, I have my phone. My own personal issue with the watch, is the bracelet and clasp. Firstly, the clasp is a little long for small wrists and the link which attaches to the 6 o'clock side, doesn't fully articulate, which is really annoying. Secondly, the lack of a quick adjust feature is also irritating and you can't get half links! Despite this, I still love it. A lot!
When a watch have a date window, reviewers say “we don’t need a date window for a cleaner dial”... When a watch is no date, reviewers say “a date would be useful” -__-
Totally. Give me the date all day. If I'm going to sacrifice all the features that a $10 digital watch can do for a fancy look at me watch I at least want to be able to look at the date! All these people talking about Aesthetics of the dial and stuff. Get over it. Watch hobbyist are such a funny group, I'm one of them. Everybody talks about dive watch this dive watch that. Modern divers don't use dive watches so who cares about the depth and all these other features like helium Escape valve. My opinion, I watch better have a heck of a lot of charm in order to justify $5,000 or whatever. Just a name brand won't do it for me. So, the more obscure, the more odd, the more interesting the better in the luxury watch world, I think. I do like this Tudor BB 58.

I’d love to see some German watches. Possibly the new salmon dial a. lange & söhne even though it’s not even obtainable. Would also move to see the IWC portofino as it has gotten little to no RUclips coverage at all and that I am on the verge of buying one
Honestly I would love to see more ladies watches. I’m a bit board with the same videos covering the same watches over and over again. I think ladies watches would be a nice change of pace and would be a great help for me as I’m trying to get my wife into this hobby.
Tony Anguiano thats where the demographic is at. Though i agree a change in watches would be nice, something a little more obscure. Just one more watch does this nicely.
Nice write up. I have a BB58 and I love it and I love the "rivets" too. I had the 42mm on for a very short time and it is a big clunker for me. The 39mm is perfect. I know Steinhart watches aren't "premium" watches but I think they are way under valued so maybe think about reviewing them. Peace out.
I don't hate them, and, occasionally find them useful, but, I hate having to flip through them every time I put on a watch that I haven't worn in weeks (which happens quite a bit, lately; gotta do some selling). I absolutely loathe having to do that with a watch that has both a day AND date complication. Plus, they look cleaner without such things and they seem to make the stem more prone to mishaps.
I can see y u dont like them but on some watches it doesnt cut off the indices, and i always prefer the date window on those. Its just another complication, cant go wrong with that
On the topic of faux rivets, a watch is a piece of jewellery. If it matches the style and theme, I'm all for it looking good. On the black gilt, the whole design is just so good on my eyes, the reason why I made it my first luxury watch.
Just checked my 58 over 24 hours to see how it kept time and it was +/- 0 I'm not that bothered about an automatic losing a couple of seconds per day anyway, but there it is.
Great video! Thank you for telling us about yourself. I've got four daughters and they all love watches. It's exciting to find other women who share that love. Best wishes to you and your partner. We'll be watching your watch journey all along the way!
Oh dear Jenni, my wallet is not happy with me as it's lost more weight (It didn't gain any over Christmas) but I'm very pleased with my BB58 in black. Your review was spot on. The fake rivets on the bracelet was initially a concern but to be honest on the wrist I do not notice them any more. The bubble or box sapphire crystal shape really reflects a design from long ago. To me Tudor have created almost the best modern retro watch, the blend of off white luminous hands and markers with the gold tone hands and gold tone printing on the dial is exactly the right balance. It even fits on the wrist and under s shirt cuff without a problem. The cherry on the top of the cake is that they made it without a date and cyclopes as it keeps the symmetry of the face. A non magnified date at the six position may have had my wallet worried e little more.
We caught on to the three-finger count because of Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds, of course! And I'd love to see some Nomos on this channel--especially some of their sports line from last Basel. Cheers!
Thanks for sharing about yourself, Jenni. I must say I had trouble working out your accent and thought you may be Swiss. But now I can hear it clearly: you learnt English from a Scot! So refreshing to see a watch channel reviewing men’s watches from a woman’s perspective. You obviously like larger wrist watches (or do you?). Would love to hear your thoughts on the Patel Philippe Aquanaut, that is, if you can get your hands on one?
@@Akmal_Alif Reality is, people with wimpy wrists tend to choose a too big watch. Unless you look like the Rock Johnson or Arnold in his best years, you better go with a well proportioned watch.
@@paulschneider7271 That's your opinion though. A man will choose a nice watch that is meant to feel it and this is not as bulky as you think. The all-titanium further solidifies that and you don't feel like it's even there. Have you even tried it on?
Men who lack the confidence? It has nothing to do with confidence. It's all about aesthetics. It just looks awful. You assume that men wearing small watches would think it's feminine and therefore attack their masculinity. That's where you are wrong. It has nothing to do with that. If you have smaller wrists you can wear smaller watches you got bigger wrists you can wear bigger watches. It's all about the proportions. Stop being toxic dude!
I slept on this watch until yesterday. I was looking at the all black 41 and was told to try that one by a friend....being as it is on back order, I got lucky and got to try on (for a good hour)one that my ADs watchmaker owned....I didn’t want to take it off and ordered one on the spot. I have very large but very round wrists. The height of this makes it tremendously better than the 41 and it has made me rethink my “list”. I don’t know if a six digit sub will still be on it anymore (I do still want a specific 14060 for sentimental reasons). This may be my favorite modern diver of any brand period.
Really interesting video, thanks for your perspective. As a watch guy, one of the most useful and practical spots I like to see are comparisons between similar models. Not everyone can all afford the high-end pieces, so some alternatives are always appreciated. Perhaps one high-end, one mid-range and one micro?
Hello Jenni. I am watching your channel and several others watch related channels on RUclips. Really enjoy your reviews and comments for clarity, positive vibe, and variety. I do have several watches in my "collection": Rolex Sub Date, Omega Seamaster Diver 300 Professional, Ulysse Nardin Dual Time, Breitling Superocean Auto 42, Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Black Dial, Longines Master Collection Moonphase, Longines Dolce Vita SS Men, Tudor Royal w/blue dial.g Superocean Automatic I would like you to review more German watchmakers' creations. This will help educate more watch enthusiasts in N. America. Thanks and keep excellent work!
If the bezel insert were more scratch resistant, this would top my list of watches to get. The whole aesthetic appeals to me, but I can be a little rough with my watches. I need robustness. If it also had a date window above the 6 like you mentioned, I’d start allocating funds right this moment. In the meantime, I’m keeping a very close eye on this line. Great video like always. Keep up the good work!
Great video, love what you're doing. I like how you mentioned the flex culture of Rolex, it's genuinely become a turnoff. How about a video for "his & hers" watch suggestions at different price points? For example, matching Cartier tanks.
9 out of 10 Rolex owners know zero about their watch except that it's a Rolex. They wouldn't even know there's a difference between automatic and quartz, what a power reserve is and certainly nothing about the brand's history.
I’d like to see your opinions on the JLC Polaris collection, “diver” line from Jaeger lecoultre since it seems you know your diver watches haha, and some spotlights on Nomos or Junghans would be nice too!
@@powerplay.556 Who gives a shit about that. It's enough to keep wound when you're wearing it, and it's time only, or date and time, so it's not hard to set when it stops
@@rousseau327 We don't all own one watch. The model has been a commercial disaster and the lack of power reserve is one of the main reasons for that. My Tudor Pelagos and Omego Planet Ocean both absolutely shit on the Polaris in every way. 20 bar with push in crowns? lol. The supposed beautiful movement can't be seen or heard when wound. The rubber strap is its best feature. I bought a JLC Master Compressor new in '09, kept it for 7 years but was at Richemont more than on my wrist. They refunded me in full for a reason.
@@powerplay.556 I agree that the Polaris hasn't been the most successful, but we're talking about power reserve here, no? 38 hour power reserve is enough for you to wear another watch for a day, and come back to it, and if the power reserve runs out, the lack of complications on the watch means it's easy to set. The only reason why 38 hour power reserve is a "problem" is because watches commonly have more nowadays. People used to own watches with this amount of reserve within a large collection without a problem.
I’d love to see some reviews of Grand Seiko. I think their spring drive technology is an incredible feat of watchmaking and I’d love to own a chronograph with it to really experience that perfect smooth sweep seconds hand.
Great video, congrats! The BB58 was my companion on a 3 month trip around the world and I must say that I did not miss any of my other watches. It has the sexy appeal of a vintage Rolex without the multi $$$ risk of losing one of those. This is why I was feeling safe wearing it for a stroll in downtown Caracas. And yes, the riveted bracelet is equally annoying as the ones on my vintage Rolexes: it rips off the hair on your wrist. Also, I am not the greatest fan of the clasp, opening it can damage your thumbnail. But hey, it is a hell of a great watch for its price!
Oh, Jenni, thank you very much for giving us this so great content and as some people have said, I'm pretty happy to see a girl in the watch community giving its actual opinions and reviews, so thank you very much and happy watchmaking!
there are a few channels that do. Like Watchfinder. Iv actually started to look at those watches awhole lot differently now and with better appreciation
Most things mentioned in this video are actually a "+" for me, particularly the "no date" bit. I wear my divers only on week-ends or evenings, so I don't need the date complication and love the symetry without it. About the bracelet clasp, it has micro-adjustments like most diver bracelets I think? Those are used precisely for the issue you mention of expanding wrists. It's either that or a gliding clasp, which is easier to micro-size, but much chunkier. I personally like my clasps to be as small as possible (but with 3-4 micro-adjusts) so that it sits more comfortably on tables etc when I'm sitting down
It’s most likely the closest competitor, a thing many reviewers fail to notice as they usually mention the 300M, which is a totally different watch. But the 300 mc-a is a lot bigger and thicker and not recommended for smaller wrists.
I noticed your first Instagram post was of a Casio F-91w. I'd love to see you do a video about a budget watch icon, like that watch or something similar.
Thank you Jenni for great watch reviews focusing on things to consider without any Judgement. You manage to highlight details of possible importance that could easily be missed out. Thank you and keep up🙏🏻. Looking forward to more reviews from you.
Watch and things that’s would be very intriguing. I like Damasko and Junghans, I also own a Rolex and an Omega. Very different all around but the design may be seen different based on nationality curiously.
Great video and congratulations on 10,000 followers!I am a huge Panerai fan and would love to see a video on Panerai models that fit hey good luck on women’s wrists in the event that I want to buy my wife a Panerai one day
Thank you for your honest comments on the BB58, speaking on the good points as well as not so good points about the watch. I have been sitting on the fence about pulling the trigger on getting one. After all those 5 points which you mentioned, I think I'm going to give it a miss. Even though I love the case size which is very ideal for my wrist size, there is something about the bracelet which I don't really like when compared with that found on the Rolex Submariner. I am very much a bracelet person, so if I don't like that bracelet, I wouldn't buy the watch.
Ok I want to see you visit a factory of one of the German startups.... maybe Steinhart? or Gigandet? I would love to see what happens behind the scenes in one of these smaller operations...
Jenni you nailed it ! I love the black bay but my heart is set on a sub so after watching this video I will wait patiently for the call from my Rolex Ad 🙏🙏🙏
I get the rivets on the bracelet. I think it would look nicer without them, but they don’t bother me. This watch is as close to perfect to me as you can get.
I actually like the Tudor over the Rolex....I really like this watch. Think I'm gonna order one on the bracelet along with some other straps.. great video......thanks..
I want to love this watch. Just 3 minor things holding me back. 1-Which the video mentions, I prefer steel bracelets over leather but not a fan of the rivets. 2- I wish the snow flake on the hour hand was a tad smaller. 3- The crown, I wish it was more flush with the case, it always looks to me like it hasn’t been screwed in all the way. So instead of loving this watch, I just really really really like it a lot.
Besides the tasteful proportions, the in-house movement and 70hr power reserve is possibly the biggest reason I want this watch - being able to rotate it with another watch over a weekend for example.
#5 is why i haven't bought one yet. Already have the black bay bronze and like it very much so it would be tough to get another Tudor when i want a Sub.
I have to say, I like my Back Bay, (it's not a 58), just plane black face/chrome/blueish black bezel. Bought it this last fall (2019) when working in London, after I left home (states) and forgot to put on a watch (really early out the door from home to catch my flight). I went in to a shop (in Covent Garden) to get a watch and left with the Tudor spending a bit more then I have plan, but have another watch that I love just because it's not a trophy watch...
Which of the 5 points do you consider the most important? I think the case size would be my biggest deal breaker 🙌🏻

Bold One thanks for the heads up, I’ll make sure to include both next time 🙌🏻
I’d love to see some German watches.
Simp
Board? As in plank? 😂🤦🏻♂️
I never considered a Tudor until I saw your video. I think its beautiful. Thanks.
I’d like to see a Tudor pelagos, north flag or a grand seiko SBGJ211.
Peace out.
Keep it up, you are a trully refreshing presence in the RUclips watch community!
Men’s watches that women could also wear! A collection of watches that you believe could be unisex
Brandon Soo most watches are unisex imo. It's just if a woman like a bigger watch, I see more women with bigger face watches these days.
God I’m so glad there’s no date window. There’s nothing I hate more
Finally someone thinks just like me
I hate the date window too!
because its also unnecessary. I don't need a watch to know which date we have.
Would love to see a video about the Cartier Santos de Cartier
I’d like to see your favorite “one-watch” collection!
Gotta love a woman that knows how talk about watches! Great job!
Just checked my 58 over 24 hours to see how it kept time and it was +/- 0
I'm not that bothered about an automatic losing a couple of seconds per day anyway, but there it is.
I would like to see a video with the most beautiful dial ever: the Grand Seiko SBGH269
Absolutely love the mat black Rose gold. So classy.
Great video! Thank you for telling us about yourself. I've got four daughters and they all love watches. It's exciting to find other women who share that love. Best wishes to you and your partner. We'll be watching your watch journey all along the way!
I'd like to see a review on women-specific watches.
Cheers!
Agreed, a review of the Nomos Tangente Neomatik Sport watches from last year would be great.
I thought of the movie as well. Too funny.
Review of the Omega Aqua Terra or Tudor Pelagos. :D
Great review :)
I'd like to see some love for the Pelagos as it solves all of the 5 things that's lacking with the BB58
much too chunky n bulky. looks terrible in my opinion.
@@paulschneider7271 on a wimpy wrist, yes
@@Akmal_Alif Reality is, people with wimpy wrists tend to choose a too big watch. Unless you look like the Rock Johnson or Arnold in his best years, you better go with a well proportioned watch.
@@paulschneider7271 That's your opinion though. A man will choose a nice watch that is meant to feel it and this is not as bulky as you think. The all-titanium further solidifies that and you don't feel like it's even there. Have you even tried it on?
Almost no such thing as a watch that is too small. Only men who lack the confidence to own the look.
fyhfb ass i think there can be a watch too small. For me around 34 mill is where i draw the line. Though anything over 40 is a bit iffy for me.
Everyone says 36mm is 'too small for my wrist' until it's a Rolex.
There's just something so much more aesthetic about the old rose logo and 'smile' of the eta version IMO
the deal breaker for me is that aluminium bezel and for an everyday watch a date window would be nice
I don't think it's needed. The Submariner doesn't have a date window.
Really interesting video, thanks for your perspective. As a watch guy, one of the most useful and practical spots I like to see are comparisons between similar models. Not everyone can all afford the high-end pieces, so some alternatives are always appreciated. Perhaps one high-end, one mid-range and one micro?
More about Jaeger and Vacheron
A Rivew about Reverso and Vacheron fifty six
Would like to see a Jaeger LeCoultre reverso or a Cartier Tank! Rectangular watches need more love🙌
4:00 I love that edit you guys did with the lume, that was a small trick that added a lot of
Hello Jenni. I am watching your channel and several others watch related channels on RUclips. Really enjoy your reviews and comments for clarity, positive vibe, and variety. I do have several watches in my "collection": Rolex Sub Date, Omega Seamaster Diver 300 Professional, Ulysse Nardin Dual Time, Breitling Superocean Auto 42, Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Black Dial, Longines Master Collection Moonphase, Longines Dolce Vita SS Men, Tudor Royal w/blue dial.g Superocean Automatic
I would like you to review more German watchmakers' creations. This will help educate more watch enthusiasts in N. America.
Thanks and keep excellent work!
I would like to see a list of your favorite German watches!
Jenni, I would like to see a presentation on the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra.
topgun I’ll second that - I’m thinking it might be the OMEGA for me. Great video.
I love your channel and I love Germany, I have been several times. Your English is impeccable.
Same here. Aluminum bezel inserts don’t age well and it’s a big turnoff for me.
I’d love to see a video on your personal collection over the years, and we’d love to hear about your grail watches!
The 58 is the most beautiful watch in the market today. Perfect in every way.
Whenever I see a video that doesn't use imperial units, I click like.
I've been looking at the BB58 like everyday, thank you for your honest opinion!
I’d like to see your opinions on the JLC Polaris collection, “diver” line from Jaeger lecoultre since it seems you know your diver watches haha, and some spotlights on Nomos or Junghans would be nice too!
38 hour power reserve on the Polaris. LOL
@@powerplay.556 Who gives a shit about that. It's enough to keep wound when you're wearing it, and it's time only, or date and time, so it's not hard to set when it stops
JLC imho just isn‘t the right choice if you want sporty/diver watches.
Another Tudor-bashing video.
For the price point, the BB58 is unmatched, with the Rolex name behind it.
I would like to see some content on budget friendly homage alternatives.
please do a video about your favorite automatics under $500
Oh, Jenni, thank you very much for giving us this so great content and as some people have said, I'm pretty happy to see a girl in the watch community giving its actual opinions and reviews, so thank you very much and happy watchmaking!
Nobody does Ulysse Nardin. Would be interesting to see one of their watches reviewed
there are a few channels that do. Like Watchfinder. Iv actually started to look at those watches awhole lot differently now and with better appreciation
refreshing to see women with a passion for watches!
Great review! Would love to see your thoughts on Breitling, a brand who seems to have slipped behind Omega and Rolex.
I personally like my clasps to be as small as possible (but with 3-4 micro-adjusts) so that it sits more comfortably on tables etc when I'm sitting down
A great review. I still prefer the original Black bay. A video on your best value pick diver. Keep up the good work
I prefer the Omega Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial 👌🏻
A German take on German watches vs Swiss watches would be cool.
Watch and things that’s would be very intriguing. I like Damasko and Junghans, I also own a Rolex and an Omega. Very different all around but the design may be seen different based on nationality curiously.
Would love to see your suggestion or suggestions for a "do everything" sub $3000 watch.
Good luck with the channel!
Timex Ironman
Great video and congratulations on 10,000 followers!I am a huge Panerai fan and would love to see a video on Panerai models that fit hey good luck on women’s wrists in the event that I want to buy my wife a Panerai one day
I did not know the rivets are just for the looks, so lame
Now i will consider buying the version which comes on the leather strap.
To see next...how about your favorite independent/micro brands? Thanks for the good content!
Really love your channel. Great to see more female voices in the watch community! Subscribed and can’t wait for more great content!!
More videos on the BB58 line, appreciate all the effort. Thanks
What a lovely lady. I admire your knowledge and preparation before shooting a video. Many thanks and keep on going!
Love your channel! I think the non-chunky case size makes the BB58 a winner over the regular black bay which sits uncomfortably even on a large wrist.
Hi everyone !! wonderful review Jenni i thing the Tudor Black Bay 58 is one of the best Watches you get so much for your money !!
#5 is why i haven't bought one yet. Already have the black bay bronze and like it very much so it would be tough to get another Tudor when i want a Sub.
More German watch reviews in the range of 38 to 40mm in diameters would be nice.
most of these 5 points are an added bonus to me, great watch!
I’m never buying a Blackback 58 …… it’s too small .. the Blackbay 41 on the other hand .. perfection!
Wonderful channel. So polished right out of the gate. Keep it up Jenni!
I would love to see a video about proper watch care, maintenance etc.
