I eat salmon, fruit, veg, whole grains, nuts, no red meat or saturated or trans fats. My total cholesterol went 246 to 128 mg/dl. Blood glucose went down, but was never an issue. I engage in HIIT twice per week and occasional zone 2. Lab VO2 max is 51. Blood work doctors put biological age at 14 years younger than my chronological. However, my bmi is 23.5.
Don't fear red meat and associated fat, it contains all the essential nutrients you need and is uninflammatory. Cholesterol is also important as it is needed in every cell membrane and is used to make hormones among other things. If anything, higher LDL is associated with longevity from all causes including heart disease.

Medical science doesn't support your other claims unless you misread and misinterpret. This is why I leave it to the experts not selling supplements and philosophies.
I'll tell you what helps me. I have completed in powerlifting and now BJJ. I weigh about 155lbs. I consume somewhere between 1600-2100 calories a day. I am able to easily reach my protein goals and limit carbs by eating cauliflower rice and egg whites. I do mix in whole eggs as well since the fat is healthy. So I try to stick to leaner meats to keep calories down.

Attia and Patrick aren't completely correct about the protein requirements, as the body adjusts to protein intake. Anabolic resistance seems to be the cause of muscle loss with age. And that is cause by a decrease in exercise. Exercise seems to allow even the old to have normal/youthful levels of protein synthesis and muscle maintenance against age related muscle loss. There's a limit to how much protein your body can use from each meal (about 20 to 30 grams). Exercise (both kinds) is the most effective solution to anabolic resistance.
You need 1g of protein per lb of LEAN body mass, so you can probly knock about 20% off that number
Yes, my body fat percentage has jumped to roughly 20%.

Good progress.... Keto is a healthy protocol... It's not necessarily intended to be a long term approach.
I am Type 2 Diabetic since I was born, do clean Keto for health reasons. No side effects, blood work perfect.
