The pen attaches directly to the cover that came with it. Perhaps yours was a demo model. But I bought the product and it included the cover and pen. It is a fairly secure loop. Perhaps they rushed yours to you to get one of your wonderful reviews, and they overlooked the cover. Agree with you that it is important to have an attachment for it.
Hi, is the ghosting as per now still an issue? Because (as a software engineer) I was really asking myself: Until the whole technology has gotten better, why do they not just build in a device-software executed automated refresh? It´s quick, easy and saves the user the trouble of doing that work. I mean, that´s probably not a long term solution, but until the problem has been solved at the root...

I did last night and there will be a video covering it and several other devices to see how they perform after a bit of time and several updates, compared to each other and to their initial performance :)
There is no way to turn colors on or off. It is a passive filter on top of a monochromatic screen, as shown on the microscopic images in the video. If you want to write monochromatic, you just use the black color for the pen, that's it :) Yes, you can ise other pens, you can check my video where i test out difderent pens and nibs to see which would suit your needs best.
@@MyDeepGuide What a frustrating product. It did a few things really well and other things so freaking lacking. Iirc the amazon specs said that the it is 300 dpi for monochrome and 100 for colors. Android device came with a setting to put things in black and white and there are apps for them. I have not found the setting in Onyx systems and the apps I downloaded did not work for some reason (but tried it with my other android device, it worked fine). WTF is that. Also, the reason I asked about the pen is that I had an pen of an e-ink writing boogie board (that the manufacturer actually design a convenient way to attach to their product) and it cannot affect anything on the Nova3. When I calibrate, it kept asking for the official pen, and that is the one that work. So which of your video show how to do it again? Thank you so much for your in-depth reviews. They are great and managed my expectation really well. With this tablet, I can use this one for reading most things and the other normal tablet for videos and the rest. I really wish they include an option to disable motions on a video and play only the sound, instead of those useless seizures-induing mosaics.
Unfortunately, I think this fails as a review, especially compared to how good your other reviews are. You spent half the time talking about the pen, only a few minutes talking about the most important thing, the color, and concluded by just referring to another video.
Maybe because you didn't read the video title and haven't watched the whole review? Try again, this time watching all 3 parts, not just the middle one, and then you can apologize for being too hasty. It's ok, I'll wait ;)

Is there a setting to auto-refresh the display after each page turn rather than having to use the swipe gesture to get rid of the ghosting?
Not system wide, but some applications have such a setting.
How do we turn the colors off when we just want the monochrome display and can we use other stylus than the official Onyx?

I wouldn't use it, and no, it wouldn't work well.
What kind of software are you using for screen casting? Have you tried AirServer?
Just the regular built-in Android Screen Cast.
