Amazing sequence. This run really shows off the strength of AC2’s mechanics and what’s possible with classic AC that is simply not possible with later games. Some really technical stuff here with all the catch ledge->eject combos
Ayy! Thanks a lot Kino. Really tried pushing the system to its limits in terms of what it can do. (And now I'm addicted to drop -> ledge grab -> ejects)
Really really cool choreography. Also loved how this video wasn't trying to be super flashy or fast-paced, but imstead was focused on being very smooth and graceful
Just came back to assassins creed after nearly 10 years and was initially frustrated with the parkour. But then I remembered just how much I legitimately engaged with the environments strategically as a kid. Then the fun started rolling. Streamlined modern controls have fried my brain.
I remember the tales of my Italian great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather, he told about a guy in a hooded costume constantly running around Florence and climbing buildings like an damn chipmunk. The words of his reaction still persist as a legacy of our family... "Damn street performers! Freaks, all of them!"
I really love the flow of your choreos. Everything feels very natural despite the route being very long. My favourite moments were 0:53 , 1:25 and 2:27. Thumbnail looks amazing too
Thank you! It's pretty useful for training, but as this was initially part of a bigger run, doing the whole circuit even after failure spent a looot of time.
It's always possible to get there! Although this is a completely choreographed run, for general gameplay purposes it's even easier to get into, and all it takes is a bit of practice and environment reading. If you go for it, you'll quickly notice how quickly you'll start playing smooth and fast.
@@animusdrifter No problem man! I hope to see more soon! The classic parkour system is my favorite so it’s cool to see someone who features it on their channel, I just watched all your videos lmao.

@@francis_bathory9362 Hell yea! Wish I could respond in Italian, but I'm real rusty at speaking it as it's been a while since i learned it lol. I can still understand it basically perfectly at least, being the reason i have it in all the Ezio games.
@@animusdrifter don't worry ! I really appreciate this, because you seem really interested in my ( beautiful) language! Also, Ac2 is , in my opinion, almost a perfect game.
It's indeed fun, and I dare say the best parkour system that AC has ever seen. The problem is that they terribly teach players how to actually play them, when they rarely attempt to in the first place. These games are severely misunderstood due to how they handle encouragement and tutorialization, but once you get into them and look through some actually good educational content, you'll be flying
I plan on getting this game but I wonder if I will get as good in this game cuz I’m really good I’m unity in parkour but I got a taste of ac black flag just a perfect run and game
Absolutely! There's some great guides and videos by fellow techies out there. I'd absolutely recommend starting out with Leo K's classic movement guide. It covers all the basic aspects of old school movement, certain ideas and baseline mechanics to keep in mind, and general good practices and approaches to world-processing, button discipline, etc. As you practice the basics and get into more advanced mechanics, I absolutely recommend looking into Execution Producer's advanced parkour guides, as they show off the varying versatile uses of certain non-intended mechanics, some of which are absolute essentials (e.g. Punch Drops, Wall-Hug Drops etc.). As you get into these, you'll start coming across choreographies and videos by other techies, as well as the occasional guide by Reclusive Starfish, or the relatively old, but beautiful general parkour down choreo by Broox Maximus Stealth, all of which are going to either directly teach you something, or help in guiding you and opening your eyes to more efficient environment processing and tech usage. Take it easy and at your own pace, and feel free to ask me about any tech you might notice in a video, or anything you may wish to know. Hope you'll have a good time getting into movement :) Good luck

There is just something peaceful in the sound of Ezio running on the city.
Right? Hearing the ambience change as he makes those beams creek is truly something else. Glad you liked it
Something also more satisfying with the og parkour back in the Ezio trilogy
him jumping on the beams
Just ordinary Ezio's training. He does it every morning before breakfast.

It's a joke. We had manual jump and ledge grab in 2008 but can't have it in 2023?
I could never. The sequence is so smooth and it has a flow but then the parkour changes into a different direction which was quite epic. Very nice!
