Yeah, these are VERY strong words, but after watching this multiple times I can't do anything else than agree. Holy Fuck, Luka, you achieved greatness with this one, incredible job!!!
Dude this isn't even a snippet anymore, that's a fucking marathon! But I have to say that the speed of your ejects, the fluidity of the parkour chains and the unique use of the hookblade made the 5 minutes go by like 30 seconds. I especially liked the pull up at 3:30 and the final descent. Outstanding work Luka, I'm proud of you
Thank you!! So glad you enjoyed it! There's a lot of trial and error behind it, but it really does require good response times - especially when dealing with some tricky and fast cancels.
@@animusdrifter I think that the most difficult part for me, when trying to parkour with style, is that I tend to forget what input is required for a particular animation to occur. Especially when I want to parkour swiftly. That said, I can't wait to see your insane AC Unity parkour clips! :D
It bothered me a lot that İstanbul was depicted incorrectly in Revelations (it was portrayed too small and important buildings were placed incorrectly) but it is still one of those games that has a special place in my heart
Jesus Christ Luka, even rewatching it this is fucking insane. Change of direction, speed & momentum preservation, PERFECT cancellations. Keep this shit up your skill level is cracked now.
I can't believe I didn't see the notif for this comment but omg thank you SO fuckin much man!!! I'm so damn glad you love the run this much - it makes it all so worth it
The animation cancellation at 3:30 is so devilishly slick I don't even know how to express how sick I find this to be. Might seem like a simple thing, but goddamn, do I love when people from this community manage to pull off amazing shit like this!
I love Revelations parkour but two things that annoy me is 1) Holding Catch Ledge in the middle of a jump makes Ezio fall down way faster than you think. For me, this ducks when I'm trying to make those jumps transition into a hookblade launch from the rooftop edge and Ezio just falls way down to hook onto a window below. 2) The hookblade can randomly activate when you're trying to run up for a side eject and that animation looks weird. If you have a laptop like mine that drops frames the more you complete the game, good luck trying to side eject without pulling out your hair as Ezio hook grabs up before you can side eject. I love the Hook and Run, the Long Jump, and the Scaffold Break while running away from guards though. Really feeds into the parkour Master Assassin fantasy.
wow its amazing how given the skill you can go so fast yet so precise. in brotherhood the camera is so annoying for parkour and thank gosh its not a problem in this game.
This is so clean. I love how you use a lot of the manual jump -> hookblade pull-up/hang. Such a good run, this is beautiful. How early are you hitting the eject input so that the hookblade animation doesn't take over? I can never do it consistently.
Thank you!! I'm so happy you enjoyed those parts lol, and some of the timings are tricky indeed! I'm usually not a fan of overutilizing the hookblade, but I saw those situations as great examples of relatively good usage. About those side ejects - in situations where you can barely achieve a sufficient height gain before Ezio uses the hookblade, there's a consistent, but very tight timeframe. The thing is that your eject height depends on your wallrun height, so the higher up you need to go, the tighter that timeframe gets, before it becomes impossible. It takes a lot of practice, but it's possible to get pretty consistent (though never perfect) at it after a while.
@@animusdrifter i agree with u Actully unity was a good system for its movment like arno could run but he doesent climb a place that u dont wont to u have to hold space simillar as old games only the diffrent thing is he runs by just holding high profile If ac3 had this it would be perfect And my other problem with it is The old high profile legs jump thing that altaïr and ezio have never works near a wall witch is bullshit My last problem with it is that u cant catch ledge your back U can do it But if its near conors back he wont catch far ledges from his back ): Whats your problems with it?
@@vstarev2715 I see. My issues with AC3 are mostly about the largely non-cancellable wallrun period, high profile initiating a wallclimb (though this is an avoidable issue through button discipline, still not a fan of it as it's still inferior), catch ledge not working unless you're in a freeform jump, parkour down also being bound to tackle, among a couple of other details.
Il parkour che mi esce mentre sono in free roam: questo Il parkour che mi esce quando sono in un ricordo e devo sbrigarmi: si blocca, sbaglia appiglio, rimane intrappolato in un muro che lo rallenta
Istanbul is such a well designed city in this game, the structures are very close together than what comes onward like ac3/ac4 and syndicate where they have a wider roads in between the city, it somewhat stops the momentum of traversal. Also what do you think of mirage?.
Agreed! Though i find Istanbul more challenging to choreograph than the previous games. With Mirage, combat and stealth are probably going to be good, but the parkour very much doesn't look promising. It's very likely to turn out to be origins parkour with some added contextual interactions - no ejects, manual ledge grabs, or cancellability.
So true honestly. I have a large set of criteria for Mirage that it probably won't hit, and it makes me sad lol. Also, I'm not Italian, but live relatively close by! Having learned some back in the day, and having been exposed to Italian TV for a long time, I learned it to a point of basically completely understanding it, which is why I prefer to play the Ezio games in that dub. It feels much more genuine, and the forced accents in the english dub really bother me lol

Holy. Will try to incorporate those moves, it's just a bit harder to eject in Rev than Brotherhood due to the animation "hook". But the city is so dynamic. The edge of roofs make it a bit annoying to drop down though.
Yup, though the angle that you can approach it with is actually pretty wide, so in some cases you can trigger a swing with a pretty similar entry trajectory.
Yeah, this is the best Revelations parkour run on RUclips. Absolutely incredible
Omg thank you so much kino!!!!

Can't imagine how long this took. This is the best parkour I've seen in revaluations.

an underrated ac game with the best parkour :)
I honestly think Mirage won't compare to this !
