I really enjoyed how this video started with a sudden explosive energy and never let go of that, to say nothing of the incredibly choreographed, smooth-flowing paths. The drop at the very end really blew me away. I personally am not a fan of Bh's Rome (prefer AC2 maps and Revelations' map more), but watching you parkour in Brotherhood is always a joyful experience
I'm so happy you enjoyed it that much! Super glad you appreciate the explosive start lol Also yeah, i do understand the critique with Rome, as it's a big hit or miss depending on where you are. Once you get to part of the city that has some nice geometry, it can become a real treat!
@@animusdrifter yeah, I agree with that. But sometimes, when I just want to get into the action, Brotherhood hinders me and I dislike that. Either way, that map isn't _that_ bad
I'd love to have a perfect balance of gameplay and animation fidelity in one game. The thing with Unity is that i believe it to be a system with flaws on a conceptional level, mainly due to the prioritization of visual flare and spectacle over the gameplay. As amazing as the animations are, the inability to properly cancel out of them and use them with complete freedom is in direct contrast with how the older games play. The Kenway games, especially AC3, definitely strike that balance in a way i can appreciate more, as there's a great mix of controllability and animation quality (most of the time lol)
So glad you liked those bits! Regarding the swing prevention, i only managed to get it going in that context by jumping from the roof i do it off of, and buffering in a left jump to jump right after landing. Havent done much experimenting with it, though.
That Wall Hug drop into catch ledge into eject is so smart. Feels like something out of AC3
Ayy thank you! It's such a useful thing to do in contexts like those two.
Yet another ridiculously complex and long parkour vid, good shit, I'll never get tired of seeing catch ledge into side eject
Thank you so much homie

imagine if this got combined with unity's parkor then perfected and got implemented in all the ac games

even AI cant do better
I need you to play Unity. Please
Oh boy, my perfectionism combined with Unity would absolutely be the end of me lol. Maybe gonna go for it though, one day!
@@animusdrifter Please give a chance. It would be great
