Such a simple thing, side and back ejects, yet it adds so much to the game. If some moders without a huge budget could figure out how to implement this in a matter of weeks why couldn't the devs? Manual ejects, animation cancels, and ledge catches add a HUGE amount of freedom and control to any parkour system. I hope someday Ubisoft remembers that.
@@animusdrifter indeed, I’ll be bearing that in mind. 0:17 made me fucking ecstatic lmao, this whole sequence is so fast but this moment really stood out for me I hate Ubisoft deliberately kneecapped the parkour system for so long but I can't wait to see what PC users can do with this mod
Thank goodness I got the PC version. I suspected more mods like ACU fixes would eventually surface for this game, but I didn’t expect for them to come so soon! I really feel for those console players though. I hope they receive similar treatment in a official Ubisoft patch or something. Regardless, well done! How are you enjoying Baghdad so far? Personally, I think it feels great, and Basim feels pretty decent, too.
With the mod, Baghdad definitely feels much better, but still retains the jankiness and sluggishness of RPG movement. Sadly, I can't really relate with basim feeling good or synergizing well with the city myself, as most of my experience has still been heavily flawed and jank. The city is largely fine, but the systems themselves just don't cut it for me
@@animusdrifter Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this all stems from the fact that the entire rpg engine (from Origins forward) is really ill-suited to parkour, especially compared to the original grid system used in AC1, the Ezio games, a I think a few others. It was designed as a "climb anything" game mechanic in an open world, just a very basic utilitarian way to get around, not as something sophisticated with a high degree of control that rewards skill and timing, you know, an actual parkour system. So the devs just kinda did the best they could with what they had to work with - a blunt instrument they placed in a finesse environment. This is, after all, a glorified Valhalla DLC.
Bruh ubisoft Bordeaux had very less experience (has made valhalla dlc only and now this is their first main game ), limited budget given by main ubisoft corp (which forced ubisoft bordeaux To basically reuse the animation. But if they were given a huge budget , they would have taken more time and even might have created new engine for mirage
@tpraveenkumar once again a moder did this by adjusting a few codes something ubisoft Bordeaux has ahold of. No reason they didn't adjust it further to make it better like this modder. It's not about money but either incompetence or not caring enough to see what is wrong with parkour
It's indeed only for pc, unless the game gets patched with an actual proper eject update, which it should've had from the beginning. The fact all it takes to improve parkour this much already is literally changing a single number is a testament to just how possible making them properly implemented and better would've been if they actually tried.
@@animusdrifter so, this mod is must pretty much for better movement in parkour, but good someone already did that mod for this game, thats cool tho! 👍 🤝 still gotta wait a bit to get more money to buy this game since i am big fan of assassins creeds 😋 and i hope they will do an update for that eject so it works on ps5 too... have a good day man! and thanks for the info.
This mod just changes a value in memory, one which afaik signifies a sort of velocity component the game later uses to calculate landing positions. Though, sadly, there's indeed many, many caveats and inconsistencies due to the underlying system, but the fact that a mod, a single number did so much for movement in two weeks is insane to me, despite me having theorized about this exactly for a long time without trying to do it lol
@@animusdrifter what I wanted to ask was did you have to tweak the value in the script? Which is possible afaik. But yeah as expected. Can’t wait to discuss about this ;)

Mirage is most definitely not worthy of being associated with the qualities an AC1 remake would have to adopt, especially in the movement and combat department.
