Though tailing missions are not my taste, the feeling of being an assassin and slowly watching your prey is such a cool thing to do. Revealation is probaly the best in this, the ambient, the market, the haze and smoke is just 100% hitting the right spot.
@@wingedhussar1453that or when the person your tailing randomly turns around in the weirdest moments. I can sometimes understand if a person is worried the are followed but almost all the tailing targets do this. Like why are people so scared about walking around places all the time
Honestly the mission I hated in Bortherhood was that Leronardo Flying Mission, the controls suck, sometimes the flying machine stalls and doesnt move, and it doesn't tell you how to control it either. Plus theres a glitch in the game where the control doesnt work untl you look it up.
Getting this somb*tch to a 100% was the true nightmare. Because if even one single arrow would hit you while flying that thing, you'd have to restart the entire thing, beginning with beating up that damn architect and infiltrating the fortress again.
Agreed. Though I can see why it's frustrating mission. I personally never had trouble with it myself, but it's more of a pressure put on you than difficulty. Do it quickly, go to right direction, don't drop it.
@@Netsuki Yet, it is definetely not the worst mission in Brotherhood. This title goes solely to the mission where you have to escort Bartolomeo to the French fortress. And this is simply due to the (probably unintended) placement of certain Borgia guards throughout the route, which instantly desynchronize you.
Nah for me two missions come to mind that secret tomb mission with that wolf clan guys where you have to complete the mission in 8 minutes for 100% sync and that damn tank mission where you destroy Leonardo tanks god that’s difficult I’m on a very long hiatus on the ezio collection because I wanna 100% the games in order I 100% ac2 wanna do brotherhoods and revelations then do ac3 and 4 and rogue all on switch wish me luck cause my RZ isn’t working too well 😂😂😂
@@mgamobilegamingamature8684 You are in the exact same situation as me. I just beat the 8 minute mission earlier today (after 3 tries) and the key is to just memorize the route and not get distracted by the flags. Even then, it is a very tight timer. And I absolutley do not look forward to replaying through the tank and bomber missions without getting hit. But out of all of those, the hardest to full synch is definetley the French one, the only way to beat it is by using arrow storm.
Tip for the banker mission in AC:Bro: don't guide yourself for the voices of the guards, instead use the synchonization notification to know if you are going in the right direccion. Strong/Medium: Best/Right route Weak/Analyzing: Far/Wrong route
In AC3 there’s the naval mission “The Giant and the Storm”. It’s a pretty standard naval mission of go in and sink some ships, it’s actually really easy especially if you’ve upgraded your ships. That is unless you are trying to get 100% synchronization, in which case your upgrades will be working against you! The optional objective is to use the swivel cannon to blow up the ships using weak points, but if you upgraded your damage then you’ll sink the ships before any weak points are opened up. The only way to get the full sync at that point is to intentionally aim to the side of the ships so only some of your cannon balls hit and hope you get just enough damage to make a weak point but not sink the enemy entirely. Oh and did I mention there are three ships and you have to sink each of them this way? So if even one of your shots is too powerful you have to start the mission over again from scratch.
16:16 - Fun fact: The island of Lesbos is where the term lesbian is derived from, because it had a female poet who made poems professing her love for other women.
well, its not really surprising that it would have lesbo island there. ubisoft and sweet baby inc are basically jumping at every opportunity to have representation
Aaaaand… she probably wasn’t even actually a lesbian, her works coming across as fictions written from a male character’s perspective when studied without the lens of ‘OMG THE GREEKS WER SO GAAAAI’.
The Brotherhood one is actually pretty easy if you understand the way the guards reacted to your path, you can rush it in under 3 minutes easily (just be careful when running into the crowd). Although, the one that should be on this list should have been the racing side mission "Young at heart", war machines missions like "Flying machine" or "Hell on wheels", they are just infuriating 💀
I found the flying machine mission quite easy for me. Hell on a wheels is a good shout. That tank is slow af. I also think that had no checkpoints if I'm not mistaken
@@TheHiddenOne690I think you misunderstood, the captain whose uniform you steal is the only one who is allowed to carry money to the banker. It wouldn't make sense for the other guards to give you directions since you are supposed to know where the banker's house is.
I actually loved The Banker and the When in Rome quests. I get the criticism but I felt involved with the quest as it unfolded which felt kinda organic imo
@@TheHiddenOne690 it's another no damage full sync like flying machine so no checkpoint. The last part with two tanks fighting you is really luck based, if you didn't accidentally run yourself into the corner before getting shot at. Absolute horrible 💀
Coming from having 100% brotherhood 4 months ago, you can actually cheese the tank mission by simply playing patient, and in the final area you can actually kill all the enemies/towers without actually entering the area with proper play. Its frustrating but you'll achieve it! The hardest and most frustrating mission was Young at Heart as it is literally luck determined, based on how accurate the archers are or if Ezio actually wants to cooperate with your inputs, you'll just randomly get a good run for the 100% sync.
There’s a very annoying mission in Black Flag if you’re going for 100%, because it asks you to perform an air assassination on a ship captain from a rope. You only get ONE chance to get it right, and the closest checkpoint is before a long gauntlet of enemies where you must not be seen. If you fail, you have to do the whole thing all over again! I absolutely hate that mission
if you fail but not gone through with the assassination yet you only have to do the last section again, not the whole memory, very annoying but not as annoying as it could be
For Valhalla I'd say the rock stacking missions were far worse than the Anomalies. At least those were thought provoking and challenging. The rock stacking ones offered nothing other than frustration, forcing you to spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to find just the right angle and hope the stones don't bounce off when you drop it.
@@wildnugget1675 As in you actually have to solve a puzzle, time things etc. I'd say that can be called thought provoking (even if it isn't all that difficult). At least more so than whatever the f that rock stacking is. That's mostly just luck based. That was my point. Also, not a bro and certainly not 14. I'm guessing you looked at the number in my name and thought that was the year of my birth, because obviously you were born in 1675. Big brain things.👍
I actually recently played AC2 for the first time. Something I'd been meaning to do. And I found it so comical when I got to that final part of the flag mission. The way the guy runs is outrageous, I cannot believe that got into the game. After the first time I instead just dropped down early so I could tackle him on his way back, since even though he sprints fast he can't climb as quick, it's hard for him to get the flag off you after that.
Recently I picked up AC II again after a large hiatus. Bought it more than 10 years ago in a combo pack with AC Brotherhood. I have a love/hate relationship with the game. I love the setting and quite a bit of the story (modern day stuff bores me to death, though), combat is okay (nothing too fancy but quite enjoyable), but the parkour... it feels very clunky to me. I can imagine that for most people it's alright, but as someone who played basically every (Ubisoft) Prince of Persia game, it feels like a huge downgrade. It just doesn't feel as smooth, which makes things like the tombs less fun than they should be for me. Basically, I can see why many people adore this game, but I have more mixed feelings about it. Anyway, like I said, I picked it up again recently, and coincidentally the first mission I played after coming back to the game (in about 4 or 5 years) was the festival mission. Suffice to say, that it isn't the greatest mission to come back to after a long time... After almost eating my controller out of frustration, I eventually did exactly the same thing as you mentioned, and that worked immediately. But my God, what a terrible mission that is.
And they spawn you in the most awkward area in the game making it totally ridiculous to get down from the rooftops without taking damage or taking 100 hundred years to climb down safely
The guards in the banker mission in ac brotherhood think you are a gaurd that is a way higher rank, so they dont want to be rude or question your choices because gaurds were often executed for being rude to superiors in that time
In AC Brotherhood , the hardest Mission was Leonardo War Machines tank mission where you can't lose any health while riding the tank and if you do , you will have to restart the whole mission and the problem is when face the othet tanks at the end of mission , you will get cornered and outnumbered. In AC Unity , I couldn't catch all the flags and I was enraged because the time is not enough for me to solely catch the flags which made me quit the mission. In AC Origins , Septimius was basically Kratos in the Assassin's Creed Franchise , he kept swinging his double blades but I was able to beat him by waiting for an opening and attacking him when he finishes swinging (not on new game nightmare tho).
The tank 1 in brother hood has a way around it. If you stay in just out of sync area no too far very easy to finish the end bit. You just gotta get their with no damage. Glad i finally did that.
Man, the one you chose for ac4 is one of my favorites. And how the hell didn't you know you could unequip your hidden blades to not kill the assassins? That shouldn't even be a problem, since the mission automatically equips your fists at the start.
@jbcatz5 I just spammed hero strike, fury of the bloodline, and mighty blows. Having made a build around those things, it was incredibly easy since they give you invincibility while doing them.
The only tailing mission that I ever liked is from Black Flag, tailing the small ship in those small rivers actually were cool. I liked the fact how the voicelines to Edwards commands where whispering, and clearing the checkpoint made it actually an enjoyable mission
I personally love the Storm Fortress. After playing both Black Flag and Rogue it feels like the ultimate test of your naval skills, a boss fight where one mistake can cost your life.
to be fair in my first playthrough it took me many tries against the Storm Fortress, even with the Morrigan fully upgraded. I really wanted the white uniform. Now i just think it's not even woth mentioning. The last time i played it i hadn't fully upgraded the Morrigan and stupidly fought it, but won on 2nd try. I'm replaying Black Flag at the moment and the Jackdaw is upgraded as much as possible without the Plans, so the last stage of everything is missing, but i can't win against any legendary ship. So i can't really understand the pick here.
@@scott19087 after i replayed it lately, took me 3 tries with full upgrades. Every time the Storm Fortress uses Mortar attacks you gotta change directions to get hit by it. Mostly try to use "normal" shots or mortar attacks. Heavy Shots and ramming only if you manage to get behind her and can attack her back. Once the 2 other ships come up it's gonna get tricky. Keep your focus on the Storm Fortress (if you stilm have mortars, use these). One ship mostly tries to ram you, while the other uses heavy shots. Greek fire and heavy shot once the ram comes close, normal attacks from range vs the other. If you just avoid their attacks the 3 ships will heavily damage themselfes and you can finish them off.
@@scott19087 I was the same, tried several times with full upgrade but got crashed. After reading how to beat it, I was able to win first try. At the start, let your allies die and keep your distance. Then charge in front of the ship and DROP OIL. Use the charge function to move fast and escape mortars. Brace when on the side of the ship. Try to damage with OIL and save mortars for the last two ships. When only one ship remaini fire your front cannons to stun it, and mortar. Otherwise it will charge you to the death.
I think I managed to beat it after less than 10 attempts. From what I remember, I didn't actually struggle with the enemy support ships all that much. I think what I did was maneuvering in a was which kept the enemy support ships between me and the Storm Fortress. Then, the Storm Fortress can only attack with mortars and the support ships are cannon fodder compared to the Morrigan anyway
For the storm fortress in rogue through some dialog at the start, you can figure out that if you line them up, the storm fortress will start shooting the other man o wars and easily take off half their health in a single volley
For Syndicate's mission, I found that waiting around for a few minutes is the trick. A carriage will eventually leave the courtyard unprompted towards the north side and you can hijack the carriage then. Though, I understand if you don't want to do this, as it requires an insane amount of patience.
lmfao i found this out accidentally. went somewhere and didn't pause the game, when i came back i just saw a carriage leaving the courtyard and quickly hijacked it. i always thought it was like that lol
16:21 Actually the word lesbian has been created from the Lesbios island, because that was where the lesbian poetess Sappho lived. So, it's not a coincidence.
I enjoyed the Animus anomalies. It uses platforming, and taps into the Isu aspect. The simulation nature of the Animus experience influencing the world it recreates has been used before in the series, fragments to collect and Clay planting hints as to the bigger picture in II and Brotherhood. Juno’s cameo within the Syndicate Helix simulation is where we first get the word Isu used. If you do any anomalies having completed the main story in the modern day Basim has alternate lines of dialogue as he does the platforming.
I agree with you about the Tetris missions in AC Revelations. However, The Champion Part 2, I believe, is the name of the one where you can’t let the Herald take any damage. It’s a master assassin mission where the templars are going after a printer’s father to lure out his son. It’s infuriating. Best way I could figure to do it was using a bunch of caltrop bombs.
What I find most interesting about the assasination of Sibrand, is that if you don't manage to kill him on the boat, he will run towards a nearby church and call for reinforcements there. Such a cool little setpiece that I've discovered only recently and it's stuff like this that makes AC1 one of my favorite AC games.
I actually enjoyed Medusa biss fight, and it was easy, the other two boss fights were really annoying, only spamming bow attack against the Minotaur and the Cyclop. And in AC3 the worst mission was the pig one in Homestead or that one were you have to see NPC doing their things
@@Matt_Underwoodplay with assn DMG increase and use that skill which u get from it and you can wreck anyone in the game. Just put items that reduces the Assassin talent tree skill cooldown and you're golden and one shot pretty much anyone.
10:20 Thus legendary battle is the hardest naval battle in the entire franchise. Rogue was way harder than Black Flag. The trick here was to weaken and cripple ships (but not destroy them) so they were just ready for you to board. Then continue fighting the other ships and when your health gets low just board and use the weakened ships to repair yours. 18:08 Hold on a second here. You said you hate these because of how random and inconsistent the parkour/jumping is and you can easily fall to your death. Most AC fans (including myself) would agree, which is why they changed the entire parkour/freerunning system after the Ezio games so that jumping and moving was automated and you just had to hold R2 ( "high profile"). But then you say the Ezio games' parkour was your favourite in the entire series.
i don’t have an issue with tailing missions, but the sheer frequency of them in black flag is just ridiculous. they even added ship tailing, seriously the person who thought ship tailing was ok should be in jail. i love black flag but the mission structure in that game is awful
just finished the game for the first time and yeah tbh its kinda annoying that the interesting missions like the assassination of woods rogers at the reception were unique (only one time in the game) and the tailing missions were like 45 percent of the game... Worst for me was the one where you're not on the ship, but in the water, and the crocodiles keep harassing the shit out of me... I think the BF mission where you attack the assassins with bare hands is just skill, and hes kinda mad cuz its hard but its a cool mission
I didn’t really mind them. I thought some of em were cool. Specifically the One where you tail them on foot while they’re in a paddle boat then chase the captain down (also a cool extra secret cutscene) and the one where you tail the boat through the thing river. But I thought they were fine
The midnight ride mission is hilarious for the memes and how goofy they made this historical event. I actually kinda like it. I played AC3 recently again and it wasn’t even that bad I think it was fixed and improved for the updated versions
Not really, it was often far worse. I 100% back to back and the OG was easier/less glitchy. No picking locks only made it quicker but bugs negated that. All 100% sync requirements remain the same. Add graphics being worse and yeah OG is king.
I have/had both versions and that particular mission in the remaster definitely seemed easier, and since there was a 6 or 7 year gap between the two releases it's unlikely because i just remembered where to go @@foxbat203
I got into AC from a gift of AC Odyssey. I then wanted to play all of the games in order of release date-I just finished Unity and the DLC. Anyway, when I played that mission in AC3, I somehow managed to get stuck on the horse with Revere and had to restart. Never playing that goofy mission again.
Lmao I liked the stone tower things in ac valhalla bc I did them when I was bored and found it satisfying when they stones didn't fall 💀 I also liked the animus glitches bc it reminded me of old ac parcour the only thing I hated was that the climbing system is flawed and in ac odyssey I loved everything mythological bc the history and mythology part is why I bought it in the first place. Also about the name of the island of lesbos: the name is "funny" because lesbians are named after the island. A Greek poet named Sappho lived on that island and she was believed to be a gay woman and therefore the terms lesbian and sapphic (umbrella term for women that like other women but don't exclude men) come from those 2 names
It's funny. I see why the assassination of Sibrand can be annoying but I never felt it frustrating, you just have to be very patient and aim precisely with each jump.
It’s actually a test of how well you were doing parkour in general, because the collision detection and everything is the same as other posts and objects in the game. If you were landing correctly on the rooftops without just missing and dropping down, then you’d do so just as well here. The only real hiccup is enemies, so you need to try for total stealth so as to avoid getting pushed. I think it was all by design. You had two challenges to choose from, a combat challenge if you approached the boat from the front, and a parkour challenge if going from the back. The only other target that had such a clear difference in routes was William of Montferrat. For practically every other target, the stealthy approach and the direct approach weren’t too different overall, just different in duration.
Even if you are super patient and precise, you can still wind up in the water in certain routes 😂. The game doesn’t always properly detect when there’s a pole/ledge in front of you and so Altair does the wrong animation and leaps into the water. I beat this missions recently and determined the route I was trying to take was just broken and only succeeded after trying a different way
I'm glad you didn't mention the crazy people who push you in AC1 because on a recent playthrough I actually paid attention to the information you get from each mission and learned, for the first time (give me a break I was much younger when I first played AC1), that you get maps with entrance/exit routes for most assassinations, including the one you mentioned which specifically points out the crazies along the way, meaning that as long as you pay attention, it isn't an issue. (Also if anyone is triggered by me saying crazy people, I apologise and acknowledge that they are supposed to be the people that one of the Templar targets experiments on making them delirious, I just don't know how else to describe them)
It's only hard if you do not get the Stealth outfit...if you do, however, it's so easy that you almost cannot believe it. And when you meet up with the dudes at the end of the mission...guess what they are ALL wearing...the very same outfit that is your 'stealth outfit'.
@@feilkate5892 The 'Stealth Outfit' is one of the cosmetic clothing items in the game available for Edward. There are multiple costumes throughout the game that can be unlocked...some have stats that do something when worn, others are just cosmetic only. When worn, the stealth outfit makes it harder for enemies to detect you, and their alert meter takes longer to fill. That makes this mission easy. To get it you need to do the first 5 Assassin Contract side missions in Havana, Nassau and Kingston...or 15 overall but doing the first 5 in each is easiest. You will need to manually sail to Kingston if you are early in game, and you should be when you get this outfit. [edit] It will take you a couple of hours probably to do these contract missions, but they are quite easy and give a good amount of coins along the way...so they're useful to do. Some people waste several hours trying to complete this story mission without the stealth suit, and whilst it can be done, it's far easier and often quicker to get the actual item in the game that this story mission is specifically designed for. {SPOILER} You know that the stealth outfit is intended to be used because when you reach the cutscene at the end of the mission the people you meet are ALL wearing the same stealth outfit that you are.
Medusa was truly a pain in Odyssey, I just beat it cuz I had a hunter build I could switch to, but in the end it was the mythical fight I liked the most cuz you actually need attention to kill her
I was highly expecting Brotherhood to be the Leonardo's Machine missions, considering you must not get detected or face desynchronization. Considering you're on your own and "not get detected" is a necessity rather than an optional "Full Synchronization".
I think for me for AC1, I went back last week and got my 100% achievements done, has to be one of the final info gathering ones, where you have to kill 5 people in 3 minutes drastically far apart but killing them is easy, it’s randomly having guards detect you even if you’re just walking down and alley miles away from any of the kills. Was one of the most frustrating missions that you don’t even need to do I just couldn’t stand seeing 1 memory strand incomplete 😂
In AC: Black Flag the worst mission for me was taking down Bart Roberts directly. I hated using the rope dart on him amidst a boarding action. (I like getting the optional objectives accomplished). But the last two times I've played the game I've just stopped doing that and just killed him in more practical ways.
People criticize AC Odyssey for “unrealistism,” but that’s what the ancient Greeks THOUGHt their world was, and it gives you the full experience. Also there was always magic since game 1
It took me almost 14 -15 tries to beat Medusa. Yes, I counted. I relied 100% on my bow and using death arrows. Once I understood all her attacks and strategies, I had a clearer mind on how to defeat her but it was such a pain in the ass. I love the storyline with Medusa though. I think she looks so dope! I love what they did with her. The only reason why I'm hesitating starting an NG+ is because I can't handle trying to beat Medusa again 😂 People talk about the boar and Minotaur being the hardest but I defeated both of them on my first try. Love Odyssey!
I had trouble with none of them and I dint do builds at all I got what I liked and I upgraded basically leonidas spear and I think armor it's been a few years lol
For Black Flag, I remember a mission that had a heavy emphasis on boat stealth - you'd be going around in the boat but had to stealth. That's the one I despised. For Valhalla, definitely the rock stacking over the glitches, which weren't too bad most of the time.
I found the Medusa fight in Odyssey pretty manageable after a few playthroughs, but the fire cyclops boss fight... now that one was hard (for me at least 🤷🏼♂️)
protip for CTF in AC2: in the video you notice on top of roof the player goes to the right. this is wrong. Just tank the fall damage and go left. assuming you have a couple potions on you (as you should), you will be perfectly fine. the roof he started on in video is the path you wanna take RETURNING the flag, not going for it.
on Valhalla - I legitimately enjoyed the cairn stacking activities. It was chill and generally in a spot with good scenery and ambience. The anomalies can go heck themselves tho, they’re annoying as hell
I actually thought it was challenging to parkour yourself over water, but maybe that’s just me. For me the most frustrating mission in AC2 was the one with the flying machine. If you crashed, which often, you would have to rewatch the same cutscene again and again and that was just tedious. In AC3 the blackpowder one for me was at first more tedious. However I found out a way where the right boat can be blown up so easily. You quickly run across from the middle of the ship, ignite it and jump out. You just have to make the timing right and swim to the back, so the guards can’t initially see you. I also found hunting the bobcat was annoying who goes in circles.
Yes, the flying mission was much worse than the flag one. I was surprised this guy didn't mention this in the video instead. I remember as a teen playing AC2 getting extremely frustrated watching that cutscene over and over again.
😅 I actually did enjoy the anomalies in Valhalla, I like puzzles and having to use parkour aswell just seemed fun to me but some of them were quite frustrating
I bought all the AC games in a summer Steam bundle, and have been playing through them (beat Brotherhood tonight, actually!) My least favourite missions so far: AC - Any "Rooftop run to talk to find/talk to an informant". Not because of the timers, I haven't had an issue with making it in time in any game so far. AC 2 - I didn't have any missions where I loathed their appearance. Capture the Flag was kind of annoying, but I managed because the Opponent doesn't climb walls so once I had the Flag, I could climb up and win the point. AC:B - 100% Sync on "War Machine". I don't like that I have to play through the whole memory just to retry one segment.
I only just began playing AC1 and the assassination of Sibrand personally felt like the most unique and fun mission up to that point of the game, being on the docks of course... making one wrong move in AC1 can be your death and it's almost always your own fault and not the fault of level design, etc. You could argue the mission following that one is worse just because you have to deal with an annoying amount of guards while trying to finish your assassination. It's really just all up to your skills and how they carry you through the game.
For me, AC3's worst is by far the one where you infiltrate the fort as Haytham. I always get spotted at least once and end up cheesing the checkpoints to get the optional objectives
I had no issues with Medusa. Once I learned her pattern it was over. And I used my abilities to take her out. Having to roll and hide gave my abilities time to rest and I let her solders recharge my bar meters. I don't have a problem with tailing. The tailing hated the most is AC 3 with Haytham tailing George Washington. That was a pain. I do agree with you about AC 2. I at first didn't jump until I kept losing. I finally said screw and I just jumped. I never lost after that.
Re: AC4: When in a bush, hold the attack button and start approaching once the whistled guard enters the bush. All assassinations except airial and haybale/hiding spot can be performed by holding attack down instead of pressing, Edward will go for it as soon as the target is in range. Walking and running assassinations as well as assassinations around corners, from stealth zones etc do not require any timing on your part. It's actually quite easy once you figure it out. And no hate at all my dude but if you were not aware that unarmed attacks were an option six games in when AC4 has a tutorial on them and you have to manually reselect your weapon after every bar fight is kinda on you. If you press Q to switch weapon you'll have to cycle through your fists to get from swords to blades and on console the game UI will show your fists in your weapon list when switching. :D I don't know if I'd even say that AC4 has annoying missions. The worst missions annoy me less than the most annoying general design decisions in that game, and I'd personally choose the Charlestown bayou trailing mission as more annoying than the Tulun mission. Though tbf Tulun also has the door "puzzle" at the end which is probably the worst case of AAA puzzle design desease I can think of in any AC I played. So honestly Tulun is a perfectly reasonable pick as well.
Am I the only one who never had any problem with Sibrand? I actually find him one of the easiest to perform one-hit assassination, without chasing him or getting into combat.
2:00 i did that in my first try .... don't go to the flag just wait for the guy to get the flag then just snatch it he always run in same direction after garbing the flag
For Syndicate, a spot of Tea is the most annoying mission of all. If you are to far away, the carriage will still be marked. So just follow the marker until you get to the destination right? NO. You fail the mission and your forced to replay it at the last save. A spot of Tea has made me rage quit the game entirely and I refuse to play it even though I reached level 10 and basically control London completely.
I completely agree with you about the AC Odyssey Medusa boss fight. A lot of people tend to complain more about the Erymanthian Boar (although that’s not a “mission”) or the Minotaur, or even Hades (who IS very hard, but that’s another story), but freaking Medusa was ridiculous to me. In fact, on my first play through of Odyssey I never even beat her. I was finally only able to on NG+ (sadly) lol. Anyway, great list! That one with Paul Revere cracked me up. 😆🤣 He shoulda been smacked off the damn horse. Oh-and to your point about the Animus Anomalies in Valhalla…after the 1st couple of them, I realized the reward for completing them was NOT worth the hassle. So I just watched the RUclips videos so I could hear the recordings at the end & that was more than enough for me. 👌🏼
I never played the tournament mission in Unity but I guess the game was overall pretty enjoyable considering the hardest mission was playing solo on a mission meant to be played with others, the only problem is finding someone to play it with you in the present day cause I tried co-op gameplay but I hardly saw anyone online and the one time I did, the player lagged out😂
Got Unity for the first time a few weeks back in a sale, since that's one of the games i had never played before (the others being Black Flag and Syndicate, got them too) and it bugged me so much that alot of skill points were locked behind the Co-op missions, that rarely anyone plays nowdays.
@@Zerashadow there were skill points locked behind the co-op missions? Tbh it’s been a long while since I’ve played the game so I can’t remember but what I do remember is when it comes to Unity the most annoying things are related to multi-player
@@Zerashadow I recently borrowed the game disc from a friend and played it again and now I get what you mean, the co-op missions are playable solo but it won’t reward you with the full amount of skill points shown on the mission and that’s very annoying, also after playing the game again I saw that the hardest mission there was women’s march not the tournament cause if you check the co-op missions through progress tracker where the missions are arranged by difficulty from easiest to hardest(up to down) you can see that womens march was below tournament as the last 5 star difficulty co-op mission, I didn’t play the tournament cause of the complains I’ve been seeing online about it’s difficulty but when I played women’s march, I was annoyed out of my mind… that was the first co-op mission I gave up on, I just kept dying and dying mostly cause of the snipers, I managed to go a little deep into the mission and reached the part where you’re supposed to sabotage cannons but that part just sent me over the edge and I gave up but that was before I finished the game, I’ll give it a try later on when I’m less busy and also the tournament too🫡
That unity mission caused me to break a very expensive controller, the parkour section made me hate the parkour system when it’s praised for being the best in the series
About mission in the first Assassins creed game. If u want to make sure u wont fall, just use ur "free hand". Its the button, that u use while the walking or parkour. With that hand you can touch and move people, throw, run and push, and grab the ledges. Grabbing the leddges in this mission is very useful. Just even try to use that move in your parkour, you will see how easier game become. And at Sibrand you already have gloves to grab
I honestly loved both the anomalies and especially the stone cairns/rock stacking side missions. I always found them to be a cool and enjoyable thing to do. The anomalies could be a bit inconsistent which were frustrating at times but I still enjoyed the parkour puzzles (not so much the light redirection ones). Oh and I loved the little cutscenes at the end of what happened to the isu/gods. I found it quite interesting and I was super invested. And idk why but the stone stacking I always looked forward to I just found it super fun to figure out and stack. Valhalla is my favourite game so maybe I’m a bit biased here but I seriously did enjoy these (the stones way more though.)
Oh man, I love seeing a fellow Valhalla fan in the comments..I'm doing another playthrough now 2 years after finishing my giant first one. Something about that game just hits home. If it just had better parkour, stealth systems, NPC animations/design and armors that looked more like stuff you'd see on a medieval TV show that's like Vikings or Game of Thrones instead of really Uber-World of Warcraft looking stuff in the endgame I'd love it even more immensely. Eivor is such an underrated protagonist. I love that the whole game eventually leads to you realizing that you're actually playing the role of a mortal Odin..wandering, being a poet, warrior, and helping random strangers only to wander off into the wilds again in search of adventure and wisdom. The symbolic connections between Norse myths and the Isu were so genius
@@gothxm so true and I couldn’t agree more! (Btw I was honestly so confused for a second because this sounded like something I wrote - great minds think alike I guess! XD )
@@gothxm Eivor truly was an amazing character and person. I love him and he’s one of my favourites of all time. Massive inspiration and comfort character for me lol. Glad to see you love it as much as me! Skäl friend! ❤️⚔️🍻
I loved youre choices from AC2 and Brotherhood. The capture the flag and banker mission where something different and i really enjoyed them. They dont do special missions like that anymore.
The Writhing Dread definitely works better when you have a long range strategy and the feature the game has of being able to craft arrows even when combat makes it much easier. The atmosphere of the lead up works for the creature, you’re going through an area even your skills like climbing anything and seeing through Ikaros don’t work, and there’s such a sense of foreboding you don’t want an easy fight at the end of it. A more unfair mythological fight is the Minotaur. The missions leading up to it are lower level than the actual recommended minimum level you fight the beast and it’s a much smaller arena too.
I actually love the tournament co op mission in ac unity. Wonder why so many people find it difficult. I usually do it solo, and speaking of the parkour part, if you know the path, you can easily solo that entire section with more than one minite left. For the enemies, smoke, plus single slash with sword on all normal enemies, then hold attack on them to finish them off after smoke clears
I still remember what the guards says in Brotherhood: "Where do he think he is going?" - "I hope they let us go inside" - "We're on the right track" !!! I SPENT ALMOST 30 MIN, ALWAYS GETTING DESYNC.
I think I also disliked the Medusa fight the most in Odyssey, though for the opposite reason. It was so easy and boring. Not that the other boss fights were particularly hard though. I completed all within 3 tries, if not less. It quickly became clear that using the bow for the most part tends to be the easier and safer option.
@@TheHiddenOne690 Haha you're probably fine if not better than me. Maybe I just happened to be using the best abilities/strategy for it. I'm also fairly certain I was a higher rank than most at that point, I took my time playing a bunch of side content throughout my entire playthrough.
Yeah, she was easy for me also. I just ran around hitting her with a bow from a distance hiding behind the pillars and then slashing her with a sword when an opportunity occured. The key was to avoid her sight because when she turned you into a stone, one hit from her or from her minions was an insta kill.
That one for BF is difficult but at least it makes sense. The one that doesn't make any sense is where you have to sail the Jackdaw down a narrow river WHEN YOU HAVE ROW BOATS AVAILABLE! With Rogue, there was an exploitable glitch to avoid having to defeat the SF yet still get the trophy, although you don't get the special outfit. The glitch still worked in the remaster to. Not sure if your pick from Origins really counts since you state you're playing on the highest difficulty. The RPG elements of the last three games create a different kind of challenge, one which can easily be mitigated by simply lowering the difficulty, something that's not an option in the earlier games
In ac4 I particularly hated the mission where you have to get the chest with the blood vials for Roberts. All the way from stealing a Portugese flag to assassinating the captain of the man o war. The problem is that detection fails the mission (or fails the 100% completion). And the enmies have crazy detection vertically on the ship and in the water as you're swimming to land WHILE it's night time mind you. In ac3 I had the same issue when I had to take out the 2 ships shooting at the city, right before doing the mission to assassinate Pitcaim at Bunker Hill.
Blowing up those 2 ships took me probably 20 attempts. Once I learned the pattern of the left ship it's alright but you need to kill all of the guards before air assassinating the heavy guard. Plus the right ship you can actually leave 2 sets of guards alive and just light the fuse while walking.
thank you for the hint in that Syndicate mission :D I felt so frustrated in the past, it literelly burned itself into my memory to this day :D but now that I've seen it... yea, that COULD work under special circumstances :D I mean, with Syndicate it often feels random if you can get the side objectives or not, even if you have a few tricks up your sleeve because, lets say, you liked this game so much in its day, that you replayed it around hundreds of times xD
2:59 Easy way to win this part - learn where the opponent's home base is and just go wait for him there. Let him capture the flag, then tackle him when he comes back to his home base. You steal the flag, and for some reason, have no problem getting back to your own base.
the AC2 capture the flag mission was spot on, after like 15 retries i figured that i can just eat fall damage and fall right on top of the flag, then proceeded to turn around and immediately climb back onto the roofs to the goal while healing. same exact method/path each time and easily got a 3-0. the altair armor is clutch for the falling portions
The Medusa fight is actually really easy if you follow these steps: -preserve adrenaline where you can -use arrows against Medusa’s enforcers because they are slow -hide behind a pillar while Medusa fires her laser thing, and when she is done, use hero strike or overpower on her to lower her health super quickly. -since you gain adrenaline by hitting enemies with arrows, you should have more than enough adrenaline to deal loads of damage and heal up where necessary.
I'm in the minority here but the Desmond sections in Revelations were the best part of the game for me, the story and art on the walls and around you were implemented very well and it also features the best track of the series; Party Hard.
AC2 one is just about not overthinking it. You take the shortest path down, and that means you always take damage. I think I've also built a strategy where I'll jump down nearby and tackle him first THEN grab the flag for the last one.
i loved odyssey boss fights, even to the extend i did the minotaur one whilst being 10 levels lower than it lmao it one shot me everytime and prolly took near an hour but got through and felt awesome
Hey, love your videos as always! in AC valhalla the anomalies missions were one of my favourites to be honest, I loved the parkour puzzles, when you mentionned the revelations modern world segments, I didn't like them either in terms of gameplay, the history of Desomnd was fun, but if they were like in valhalla I would have enjoyed them more. Also liked the idea of AR style the platforms prjected onto the Valhalla world looked cool for me. - And the video reward at the end was satisfying for me. :) ( what I did not like was the AC unity rifts... broke immersion for me a lot) Overall in the whole series I enjoyed modern day parts best presented in valhalla honestly, My least favourite there were the Valhalla part where I had t figure out how to see invisible things...
Everyone always says “Altaïr can’t swim because of a animus error” Desmond can only either do what his ancestors did in their time or at least something similar so just shut up and accept it
The other people are correct. In the Assassin's Creed 2 manual, There is a note from Lucy on section 1.4.3 that says, "Make sure to fix that annoying bug in the Animus 1.0 software which prevents ancestors from swimming!"
14:11 Much as I want to agree with with this, I really had no issues Playing as Aya against Septimuns and the Anti Climate thing is only apply as a skill issue
My god, the flag mission. Any kind of racing mission is automatically my least liked (every time I try to do any kind of parkour quickly, it seem like the character deliberately misses a step. I know it's cause I suck at the game, but knowing doesn't make it less frustrating). Anyway, after almost destroying my console while not even finished with my first ever game on it, I just googled. Found two walk-throughs, one I just said "cool parkour, no way will I be able to do that" and second also had good parkour, but just said to let him take the third flag, the fourth will be as easy as first two. So naturally I jumped off the roof (and then had to repeat the mission again, cause I ran out of medicine)
the mission of locating James Kidd wasn't my favourite nor my least favourite, I found the speed of how you were detected by Assassins logical, I mean if you were a professional hider that has spent their whole life learning stealth wouldn't you know how to find out people who are sneaking in your territory? (while it is annoying it makes sense and to me that relieves the annoyance... kinda). Also am I the only one who did Storm Fortress at like... less than 10 tries? I died only once while doing it cuz I got surprised by the two other ships
The way I always do that flag minigame is simply jumping off the roof, healing, grabbing the flag, parkouring back to the start. For the third flag, I also jump off and heal, but instead of (pointlessly) running towards the flag, I stand ready to tackle him on his way back and that's it. Figured it out after three or so fails during my first playthrough back in the day. Also, a pro-tip for everyone who's having issues with the war machine missions: if you're playing on PC or on a hacked console, simply back up your save data from the last checkpoint before the difficult part (make sure to turn off network completely on PC if playing a legit copy!) and then simply restore it should you take any damage. Much faster than doing those missions from scratch every time you fail. As for the Black Fortress in Rogue- it has a massive RNG factor. I once managed to beat it while only taking some chip damage from basic enemy ships and not a single hit (!!!) from the Fortress itself. RNJesus was really smiling on me that day. Either that, or he was simply too parched and forgot that he turns water into wine by touching it. With Odyssey bosses, the strategy is quite simple- Crit Chance+ Crit Damage+ OP attacks, preferably from axes and mauls. Distinctly remember beating Medusa on Hard on my first playthrough ever and only getting hit by her gaze once because I was too cocky about dealing with her stone soldiers. Had I dealt with them properly, I would have beaten her without taking any damage whatsoever. Oh, well. She definitely has nothing on most "soulsborne" bosses.
In AC1, just go around the other way. The boat is docked along the wall. You can just avoid the water altogether and have a very direct route with very little resistance along the way.
The rpg games are fun to me, not being able to OHKO every single enemy makes sense, and I like the added difficulty. Of course, it pales in comparison to Dark Souls, but I don't find the games challenging at all. The added enemy strength makes it more engaging for me, it motivates me to perfect combat and find the most efficient ways of taking everyone down.
i was still learning english at that point, so the midnight ride was very funny to me. it was like a cross between learning basic english and the jason section in heavy rain. i kept spamming the ask direction button over and over and i kept giggling
The black flag one sounds like skill issue, I always found it to be one of the easiest missions in the game, the most annoying one was when we had to chase after the sage in Havana, while we were still pretending to be Duncan Walpole
Maybe Paul Revere had two left hands?
LOL
Though tailing missions are not my taste, the feeling of being an assassin and slowly watching your prey is such a cool thing to do. Revealation is probaly the best in this, the ambient, the market, the haze and smoke is just 100% hitting the right spot.
I really like them to just dislike how sometimes they were really hard just to trail them with guards and the stupid distance meter
@@wingedhussar1453that or when the person your tailing randomly turns around in the weirdest moments. I can sometimes understand if a person is worried the are followed but almost all the tailing targets do this. Like why are people so scared about walking around places all the time
except when you're doing it on a ship. that mission on ac4 is just terrible
The one where you tail the governor in the rain in bf is amazing
the only thing i hate about them is that your camera HAS to be on the target
Honestly the mission I hated in Bortherhood was that Leronardo Flying Mission, the controls suck, sometimes the flying machine stalls and doesnt move, and it doesn't tell you how to control it either. Plus theres a glitch in the game where the control doesnt work untl you look it up.
i loved being privileged to fly it around
You have to put controls from 144Hz to 60Hz, and it works
Getting this somb*tch to a 100% was the true nightmare. Because if even one single arrow would hit you while flying that thing, you'd have to restart the entire thing, beginning with beating up that damn architect and infiltrating the fortress again.
Shoot shoot the flying demon.... lol. That was annoying.
It's from ac II
TBF, the Brotherhood mission has you disguise yourself as the leader who already knows the way so the others expect you to know it.
Agreed. Though I can see why it's frustrating mission. I personally never had trouble with it myself, but it's more of a pressure put on you than difficulty. Do it quickly, go to right direction, don't drop it.
I liked that mission
Strong/Medium: Best/Right route
Weak/Analyzing: Far/Wrong route
yeah i remember doing that because the voices are very random
Yeah that mission wasn’t bad at all. Took me two tries to get full sync, first for figuring out the route and second to actually do it.
Iirc eagle vision makes you glow white when you're on the path and red when you're not
In AC3 there’s the naval mission “The Giant and the Storm”.
This mission was honestly my least favourite of AC3
Getting the 100% for that mission was the bane of my AC3 playthrough
I remember this!! I have never hated being so overpowered1
That one was pain
That one took me FOREVER trying to get all achievements
16:16 - Fun fact: The island of Lesbos is where the term lesbian is derived from, because it had a female poet who made poems professing her love for other women.
sapphos my beloved
yeah and her name was Sappo which is where the word “Sapphic” comes from
well, its not really surprising that it would have lesbo island there. ubisoft and sweet baby inc are basically jumping at every opportunity to have representation
I absolutely hate that mission
the one where the sage asks u to steal the ship for the vials right?
@@abdulhalim-jk9lz yes
It's so easy to do, you just suck at a game that requires no skill
I 100% black flag twice
if you fail but not gone through with the assassination yet you only have to do the last section again, not the whole memory, very annoying but not as annoying as it could be
For Valhalla I'd say the rock stacking missions were far worse than the Anomalies. At least those were thought provoking and challenging. The rock stacking ones offered nothing other than frustration, forcing you to spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to find just the right angle and hope the stones don't bounce off when you drop it.
I’ve never been so frustrated at such a simple task!

I hated them because I felt forced to do the sloppiest flattest statues.
"thought provoking" lil bro you're 14. you don't know what thought provoking means.
Bro the soundtracks in brotherhood and black flag give me goosebumps. Such a good part of my childhood
The best way to do it is to go directly to the NPC's base then as he runs towards you tackle him to grab the flag. Then run to yours.

Skill issue fr. I just did the mission rn and it was a blast
Yeah this guy has some weird takes tbh. To each their own, I suppose.
@@xziumaNot liking arrow builds when that’s the best way to take out the Writhing Dread.
siege of Charles Town is the coolest mission, but the Parkour is nearly impossible with Edward trying to kill himself every five seconds
@jbcatz5 I just spammed hero strike, fury of the bloodline, and mighty blows. Having made a build around those things, it was incredibly easy since they give you invincibility while doing them.
@@xziuma”purely my opinion”
Tried it 50+ times maybe and never won it. Played the game 4 different times but I never knew how to beat it
@@scott19087 after i replayed it lately, took me 3 tries with full upgrades.
Exactly.
Just throw smoke bomb on the horse it will run out of the courtyard

Isn’t the alt dialogue for when basim is doing the anomalies just nothing cause Rebecca and Sean already left?
The sibrand mission is one of my faves, majd addin is worse by some distance
I actually enjoyed Medusa biss fight, and it was easy, the other two boss fights were really annoying, only spamming bow attack against the Minotaur and the Cyclop.

You cant board ships in the legendary battels in ac rouge
i don’t have an issue with tailing missions, but the sheer frequency of them in black flag is just ridiculous. they even added ship tailing, seriously the person who thought ship tailing was ok should be in jail. i love black flag but the mission structure in that game is awful
just finished the game for the first time and yeah tbh its kinda annoying that the interesting missions like the assassination of woods rogers at the reception were unique (only one time in the game) and the tailing missions were like 45 percent of the game...
(Also if anyone is triggered by me saying crazy people, I apologise and acknowledge that they are supposed to be the people that one of the Templar targets experiments on making them delirious, I just don't know how else to describe them)
The mission you chose for AC4 is actually one of my favourites hahaha, it’s very interesting to hear your reasons 😊
It's only hard if you do not get the Stealth outfit...if you do, however, it's so easy that you almost cannot believe it. And when you meet up with the dudes at the end of the mission...guess what they are ALL wearing...the very same outfit that is your 'stealth outfit'.
@@vallejomach6721 wtf is a Stealth outfit?
@@feilkate5892that's the outfit you get for finishing half of the assassin's contract I believe

Damn, I adored the anomalies in Valhalla, probably my favorite part of the game. Felt like the old-school AC spirit hid somewhere beneath them imo.
on Valhalla - I legitimately enjoyed the cairn stacking activities.
I loved the flying mission. I replayed the game so many times just for that mission. Its such a nostalgic mission for me.
SHOOT! SHOOT THE FLYING DEMON!!
The bobcat in AC3 felt the wrath of my pistol immediately, I did however fail the first attempt and have to come back and retry.
Thank you!!! No one else talks about the capture the flag mission in ac 2! That had me pulling my hair out
The tank mission in brotherhood still haunts me to this day. That should be on the list.
I bought all the AC games in a summer Steam bundle, and have been playing through them (beat Brotherhood tonight, actually!)
My least favourite missions so far:
AC - Any "Rooftop run to talk to find/talk to an informant".
One segment? It's an issue through at least half of the game.
Didn't they explain that Ezio was posing as "the main man" supposed to know the way?
didn’t make it less annoying. easily bottom 3 brotherhood missions for me.
Re: AC4:
When in a bush, hold the attack button and start approaching once the whistled guard enters the bush.
I don't know if I'd even say that AC4 has annoying missions.
I thought it was a cool set piece (like most of the missions in that game), and the harbor of Acre always fascinated me
I found that the most enjoyable mission in AC1 actually
For the Black Flag one: ‘it’s frustrating how easy it is to get detected’
Dude. You’re on an island full of Assassins… what do you expect?
He also seems to be unaware that he can just hold the button down instead of timing the knockout.
I'm so happy that someone else has also struggled on that mission in Black Flag! Took me too many tries lol
@@vecktiik Yeah all the co-op missions gave 2 - 6 skill points
Exactly! Use the game mechanic!
Exactly. So many people forget about that.
I’m impressed that you were able to finish the co op missions by yourself, cus I needed a friend to do them
I honestly loved both the anomalies and especially the stone cairns/rock stacking side missions.

Very good video mate! Not very Assassin like though from you, being patient should be one of the main assassin traits 🤣
I loved youre choices from AC2 and Brotherhood. The capture the flag and banker mission where something different and i really enjoyed them. They dont do special missions like that anymore.
Agreed 100%.
16:17 Pretty sure that's where the word comes from. Sapho of Lesbos was a famous poet who talk about love.
Bro I loved the anomalies, hearing the story in the background was so interesting
Damn you found that easy? I must suck then 😭
@@TheHiddenOne690 Haha you're probably fine if not better than me. Maybe I just happened to be using the best abilities/strategy for it. I'm also fairly certain I was a higher rank than most at that point, I took my time playing a bunch of side content throughout my entire playthrough.
same, it was such hit sponge
Yeah, she was easy for me also. I just ran around hitting her with a bow from a distance hiding behind the pillars and then slashing her with a sword when an opportunity occured. The key was to avoid her sight because when she turned you into a stone, one hit from her or from her minions was an insta kill.
I beated her first try, for me the hardest boss fight in Odissey was Arges
On the hard part of capture the flag in AC2 it took quite a few tries before I realized I would let him grab the flag and steal it from him
The Medusa fight is actually really easy if you follow these steps:
-preserve adrenaline where you can
-use arrows against Medusa’s enforcers because they are slow
-hide behind a pillar while Medusa fires her laser thing, and when she is done, use hero strike or overpower on her to lower her health super quickly.
I can understand liking them, but the best part of the game? Surely not. The altair memories have to be the best part of the game.
:) ( what I did not like was the AC unity rifts... broke immersion for me a lot)
Overall in the whole series I enjoyed modern day parts best presented in valhalla honestly,
My least favourite there were the Valhalla part where I had t figure out how to see invisible things...
Everyone always says “Altaïr can’t swim because of a animus error” Desmond can only either do what his ancestors did in their time or at least something similar so just shut up and accept it
The other people are correct.
In the Assassin's Creed 2 manual,
There is a note from Lucy on section 1.4.3 that says, "Make sure to fix that annoying bug in the Animus 1.0 software which prevents ancestors from swimming!"
If you are going to criticise folk make sure you have the facts right first.
The part 3 of "Locate James Kidd" has managed to achieve a whole new level of hatred.
14:11 Much as I want to agree with with this, I really had no issues Playing as Aya against Septimuns and the Anti Climate thing is only apply as a skill issue
I hated playing as Aya, her skills and weapons weren’t fun
The medusa boss fight is super fun and challenging. I know ac players aren’t used to a game being hard or to optimizing builds.
