Syndicate parkour is terrible too tbf, it ended at Unity if we’re being real I can’t express how much of a nightmare it was to put together this fairly mediocre Syndicate clip
Is there a specific method you employ when learning the mechanics of an AC game? I noticed that you mention it occasionally in your comments that you know how the games work very well.
It’s not that I have any specific methods, it’s just that I’ve been playing this franchise for over a decade and I’ve replayed most of these games countless times and looked into their development and the way they’re designed, to the point where their moments of jank and inconsistencies are second nature to me and I know how to consistently avoid them It becomes very obvious that these games aren’t the most mechanically complex and the complexity comes from your knowledge of when and where to use the limited mechanics in new ways, either to move faster or just to show off and be flashy. Most of the skills are transferable from one game to the next Even in Unity you can use your knowledge from the previous games to improve your gameplay like knowing to use poles to climb faster or knowing to release the climb button when cornering to not accidentally climb up something. Very basic things in reality that none of the games properly taught you (None of this applies to Odyssey and Valhalla because I find very little of value in those games and I don’t want to take the time to get good at them)
@@Wbubbles3998 Thanks for the response. I got interested in this because I've recently started replaying AC Unity and I forgot how frustratingly inconsistent this game is. I would actually play Unity in 2023 as you got too much parkour opportunity plus you dont have a ride like Bayek xD so you I will go everywhere jumping
It’s not something you can do at will, Bayek will do it at certain points if you line up a jump properly but it’s not very consistent because you can’t manually jump like in Unity

yea it always bugged me that the one thing no one had any complaints about with unity was the parkour and thats what they decided to take out.
I have plenty of complaints about Unity’s parkour
I wish they would take inspiration from Unity for the making of Mirage. Honestly it has the best combat and parkour from the franchise
*devolution 😅
Dude they need to show this video on Parkour experts react channel. The one that they showed there wasn't even the proper demonstration of parkour from these games.
I actually can’t believe this 6 minute compilation I made on my phone in iMovie kinda took off
The evolution part of the video ended at syndicate
Syndicate parkour is terrible too tbf, it ended at Unity if we’re being real
I can’t express how much of a nightmare it was to put together this fairly mediocre Syndicate clip
@@Wbubbles3998@Wbubbles3998 yea like the removal of manual jumps sucked.but animations wise it was aight. Great clips btw
I think the animations often look pretty bad tbh, but thanks for the kind words
Is there a specific method you employ when learning the mechanics of an AC game? I noticed that you mention it occasionally in your comments that you know how the games work very well.
It’s not that I have any specific methods, it’s just that I’ve been playing this franchise for over a decade and I’ve replayed most of these games countless times and looked into their development and the way they’re designed, to the point where their moments of jank and inconsistencies are second nature to me and I know how to consistently avoid them
It becomes very obvious that these games aren’t the most mechanically complex and the complexity comes from your knowledge of when and where to use the limited mechanics in new ways, either to move faster or just to show off and be flashy. Most of the skills are transferable from one game to the next
Even in Unity you can use your knowledge from the previous games to improve your gameplay like knowing to use poles to climb faster or knowing to release the climb button when cornering to not accidentally climb up something. Very basic things in reality that none of the games properly taught you
(None of this applies to Odyssey and Valhalla because I find very little of value in those games and I don’t want to take the time to get good at them)
@@Wbubbles3998 Thanks for the response.
I got interested in this because I've recently started replaying AC Unity and I forgot how frustratingly inconsistent this game is. Especially when I solo Coop Missions or Heists. There are times when Arno simply refuses to Air Assassinate a Smoke Bombed target or guard. I've yet to rage quit an AC game...
@@matys6760 Ooh yeah lol trying to solo a Unity co op mission or heist is absolute hell
Great work. 👏🏽 I would've liked to have seen Adéwalé... but IV, FC and Rogue are all essentially the same. My favorite to watch in this video was Aveline de Grandpré from Liberation to be honest though. Keep the content coming my guy. "We are Assassin's." Cheers! 🤙🏽
I don’t actually own Freedom Cry
Damn you're so good at parkour 😮
Buttery smooth parkour
LEGEND
jesus, wtf was happening to syndicate’s lighting in that clip?
It used to be all fucked up when playing it on Ps5, it was patched thankfully though so it’s no longer an issue
I do plan to remake this video at one point with Mirage so I’ll be sure to get a new Syndicate clip too
@@Wbubbles3998make sure when you remake it to show even less footage for rogue and odyssey
@@ninjafrog6966 Will do fuck those games
@@Wbubbles3998based rogue and odyssey hater
Bro showed 1 second of rogue 💀
Rogue isn’t worth my time lol, I didn’t have a long clip and didn’t care enough to record one. It’s the same as 4
@@Wbubbles3998 is rogue good? I purchased it and quite looking forward to it
It’s fine. Depends why you play Ac to begin with, its story is fairly mediocre imo but if you’re a big gameplay guy, it’s almost identical to Black Flag so you’d probably enjoy it
@@Wbubbles3998I don’t agree with your opinion on the story, It’s a good story that connects black flag and III and gives more meaning to ac III
Simply connecting two prior games and having recognisable characters and locations doesn’t mean the story is good
just thank u.
Hope you enjoyed
What’s up with syndicates rendering?
It used to be broken on Ps5, it’s fixed now
I love the tittle, it sounds like a confession after saw a lot of bad videos and you want to make a better one
Why did Liberation look smoother to play than 3 did lol?
Because it is
@@Wbubbles3998honestly it’s kinda hard to make AC3 parkour look good. the main issue is that the maps aren’t really designed that well around parkour unlike AC1 and the ezio trilogy. honestly liberation’s level design is much better than AC3 for parkour
Big facts, big up Ubi Sofia
What the fuck happened to syndicate, it's like jacob/evie is going thru a mess of shadows
Syndicate was broken on the PlayStation 5 until recently, the lighting would flicker like crazy. It’s fixed now though
Awesome! At last.
Evolution but backwards?
And as always, Unity takes the cake
Lol no Unity is trash
@@Wbubbles3998 The parkour is the best in the series. Everytying else about it is fair game and subjective.
Disagree
@@Wbubbles3998 so whats the best parkour
@@anikan4856 ac1
Bro was teleporting left and ritht on sindycate wtf did I watch lmao Evie couldn't not do something incredible strange for 2 seconds during that clip
Even if Valhalla has better parkour than Origins and Odyssey, it still is an involution from what we had since AC 1 and I mean it, it all feels pretty automated now and movement feels like I'm playing Ghost Of Tsushima or any other game which developers aren't very keen on, or don't know much about real parkour physics
Parkour and climbing in Valhalla is 10000% better than Ghost of Tsushima. Both great games otherwise, but Valhalla is just hands down better for parkour and climbing.
Can anyone tell me how to do this slide on the beams in AC 1, it's my favourite part but this is the first time I've seen this animation
ruclips.net/video/m2c6tuu8JOE/видео.html
Great video by Leo K to help you understand the basics, there’s some more advanced stuff you can do but it will likely come naturally as it did for me
@@Wbubbles3998 Thank you very much, I will try to do
Brotherhood is missing its main theme and Syndicate looks bugged. Other than that nice vid.
I would love to have the possibility to create own maps to create better parkour world design
Devolution
Hot take: All games aside Origins, valhalla, odyssey have good or decent parkour you just have to have skill (yes even mirage is solid). AC isn't really hard to play but it's challenging to master and make look really good.
I think Syndicate’s parkour is pretty bad but I agree other than that game
@@Wbubbles3998 syndicate was so mid I didn't even finish it I just assumed it has the same enging as Unity so it can't be THAT bad. But yes from the clips I've seen it did seem pretty shallow even for good ac players.
It has the same basic framework and some animations from Unity but it feels very different to actually play
They gutted most of the advanced moves from Unity
how do you side eject in the rpg games
Um, I’m not 100% sure tbh. Just kinda hold climb and push the direction and they’ll usually do it within reason. You’ve usually got to be a little above the object you want to jump to though
Though I love to explore and exploit every aspects of the gameplay mechanics like parkour, assassinations and so on. I mainly focus on the story to actually critic if an AC game is good or bad. Am I weird?😅
Not at all, the story of the first 4 games is what I love about them most. The brilliant blend of history and sci-fi, the interwoven stories across centuries, the boldness and willingness to be something unique and interesting.
There truly was nothing like Assassin’s Creed back in the day, and tbh there isn’t anything like it now either
finally
sheesh
If mirage fails to execute it well, I will be very disappointed again on Ubisoft.
You have to give us tutorials Fr man
Just watch Leo K and Jcers, they have already done far better jobs with that than I could ever hope to
This video, with someone who is great at AC parkour in it, shows how much of a downgrade origins/odyssey/Valhalla parkour is
They improved a lot from odyssey to Valhalla but that’s onto because they built in actual parkour things like signs and poles sticking out of walls
Maybe because their videos have good video quality
Playing AC Syndicate on PS5?
"Actually good"=vaulting every 5 seconds
I fail to see any point in which I vaulted without a purpose, I think you’re just looking for a reason to complain because you’re bored
Syndicate on the PS5👍
I like syndicate one but should be better with being less cluncky And with more animations
"someone who's actually good at the games" but doesn't show the diagonal wall run in Origins? Hmmm...
Check some of my origins shorts
i hate valhalla with a passion but the music is some of the best from the entire franchise its too bad the games audio is compressed to the point where you cant hear how it truly sounds
I would actually play Unity in 2023 as you got too much parkour opportunity plus you dont have a ride like Bayek xD so you I will go everywhere jumping
Playing syndicate on a ps5 if I had to guess 😂
Being good at the first few AC games means side and back ejecting constantly? lmao
Quite literally yes, and the fact that you said that like a joke proves that you’re not very good
yes, quite literally. they speed up parkour significantly. skill issue
Bro Ac syndicate and odessy are masterpiece don't compare with other ac games
If they’re truly as good as you claim, you wouldn’t be so insecure about them being compared with other games in the same franchise
@@Wbubbles3998syndicate and odyssey are good? i think i’d rather play rogue
Could someone make a video explaining how to free fall to swing in origins? I couldn't time it right :c ( 4:35 - 5:11 )
It’s not something you can do at will, Bayek will do it at certain points if you line up a jump properly but it’s not very consistent because you can’t manually jump like in Unity
@@Wbubbles3998 no manual jump? oh my god these last 3 games suck bruh
@@edykrb1533 You couldn’t manually jump in Syndicate either tbf
