He Lost His Mother He Lost His Father He Lost His Best Friend/Brother. He Lost His True Love, Christina. He Sacrificed his Life and Chose to be an Assassin. The Mentor, Ezio Auditore Da Firenze
I think the reason why this game is so good to all of us that it helped us understand the Assassin's. We took control of Ezio, an easy-going, teenager who didn't really have a care for anything but himself and his family. He liked to have fun and was a trouble maker but still had fun in life, much like how many of us were like him when we first played this game (I was 11). He was then suddenly thrown into the role of becoming an Assassin when he saw his family get murdered. We all grew up with him throughout this game, learning what the Assassins were and what they believed in and why they do the things they do. Ezio soon understands his purpose is no longer to be a rich, easy-going person but to become something better, something people will be thankful for while never taking the spotlight, and with that, we stood by him at every moment till his death. We all understand that just like Ezio, we would all eventually grow up and find a purpose for ourselves in life, and I think that's why this game is so special to all of us. "It is a good life we live. May it never change. And may it never change us."
I grew up with assassin's creed it was my escape from reality when I listen to old ac tracks it's like I'm 11 years old again it gives me a feeling that I can't describe
"Ezio, remember. Evil is evil. Lesser, greater, middling; it's all the same. These templars, as honorable their intentions are, still desire the greatest perversion of all: absolute control. Sure, the prospect may seem fascinating. A world governed by peace and order where humanity itself is united under one banner? Marvelous. But at what cost? Our minds? Our dignities? Our freedom? No, my son. Freedom is the greatest blessing upon us all, one that is worth protecting and dying for. That is why we exist. That is why our Brotherhood must thrive. That is why we work in the dark in order to serve the light; to give humanity the chance to forge its own tomorrow and to protect it from the monsters that threaten its existence." -- Giovanni Auditore, of Monsters and Assassins, Chapter IV, Page 96

Assassins creed might’ve been better if they didn’t drop the ball on unity. I really liked AC 2 and AC unity. Ac 2’s story and Unitys stealth and parkour combined? Prolly a dream for a fan like me.
couldn't agree less, the golden age of gaming for me was 1996 - 2004, all the great games were released in those days: Quake (I, II, III), Doom 3, Half-Life, Half-Life 2 but i absolutely love ACII nonetheless, and this soundtrack is epic, especially since I worked on a game that featured Jesper Kyd's music (Chronicles Of Spellborn)
Half-life was stupid. 😐 What is the point of shooting throughout the game. Hitman 2 Silent Assassin was awesome. Kill enemy without firing single bullet like professional assasin. 😏

I was cleaning the house with random videos playing in the background, then these 4 little notes started playing, almost inaudibly. It triggered something in me. A cocktail of emotion. I paused everything was doing, sat down to figure out where those 4 notes are from. It lead me here. It all makes sense. Some of you are back as well, others have never left. It feels like home. In a way I have forgotten. I'll make sure not to forget again. Nothing is true...
Ezio and Edward were my favorites, both drastically changed over time pretty much losing everything. But definitely Ezio over Edward just because you got to see Ezios whole life and Edward was unfortunately only a single game protagonist but it was probably for the better, Ubisoft would of drove the character into the ground trying to recreate the Ezio trilogy in the way the player connects to the main character.
@@ripvanwinkle654 The thing is.... there actually is a "Luigi" in Brotherhood.... Ezio kills the real Luigi (a Guardia Captain) in the Pantheon in Rome and takes his place (incognito), to make his way to the celebration that Cesare held to celebrate what would be a 'United Italia' (under Borgia/Templar rule).
Happy 15th anniversary Assassins creed 2. To all our brothers still around, remember our creed, "Nothing is true, Everything is permitted" and to those who are no longer with us "Requiescat in pace".
It started with Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. Master Assassin and Refounder of the Brotherhood. In AC 1 we witnessed his fall, his struggle to get back on top and how he discovered the truth in the end. We continued with Ezio Auditore da Firenze. He had liberty, he had time and he had love. In AC 2 we witnessed the time before he became an Assassin, the reason why he chose to fight and why he joined the Brotherhood. In AC Brotherhood we witnessed him in his prime. Strong, confident, experienced and without doubt. We witnessed his rise to il Mentore of the Brotherhood and the unbroken will of the family Auditore, even after the death of nearly all their members. In AC Revelation we witnessed him in his twilight of his life. Still strong but time has taken a toll on him. He traveled to a foreign land where he searched for the truth in the past of Altaïr only to discover that the truth was meant for the future. In AC Embers we witnessed his dying days with the ones he loved most. No longer the young, strong and confident man he once was but an old and wise one now. He shared his knowledge and experience of his life with a foreigner to give her a purpose to continue the fight. Filled with regrets but no grief he died on November 30, 1524 at the age of 65 in Florence. Requiescat in pace, fratello mio.
"Nothing is true, everything is permitted" "We work in dark to serve the light" These legendary lines.. Came back after 2 years. Thank you all for so many likes!
Dude the man was such a good assassin that for like nine games later his theme is still playing in every song just in the background and you may never notice it but thats because it belongs to Ezio Auditore da Firenze and the people who have had the liberty of seeing him while still having sight well their dead and when that rock part comes in if youre still alive it simply means hes letting you answer to your gods before you get the opportunity to meet them
*Ezio:* Desmond? *Desmond:* He's talking to me? *Ezio:* I heard your name once before, Desmond, a long time ago. And now it lingers in my mind like an image from an old dream. I do not know where you are, or by what means you can hear me. But I know you are listening. I have lived my life as best I could, not knowing its purpose, but drawn forward like a moth to a distant moon. And here, at last, I discover a strange truth. That I am only a conduit for a message that eludes my understanding. Who are we, who have been so blessed to share our stories like this? To speak across centuries? Maybe you will answer all the questions I have asked. Maybe you will be the one to make all this suffering worth something in the end. Now, listen...

The most profound saying I've heard in a game.
There wont be any AC game like this one ever .. Masterpiece .. All of it .. The game .. the story .. the music .. this magical theme .. The legendary master assassin Ezio Auditore Da Firenze ... This music is enough to make a grown man to shed tears by its greatness .. Forever in my heart ✊🏻
I do agree, but Im my opinion, there's a very close competition between ac2 and ac3. Before I played ac3, I thought nothing could ever reach the toe of ac2, but at the and of ac3 I started doubting which is better. Both has great music and character, but Benjamin church says, it's a matter of perspective ( about the stories) personal opinion btw

that's what makes them the best killer
Hi, I don't think lost his mother though. He did lose both of his brothers
THE BEST STORY EVER FOR ME IN THE AC FRANCHISE

That is why we work in the dark in order to serve the light; to give humanity the chance to forge its own tomorrow and to protect it from the monsters that threaten its existence."
