If anyone understands the emotions that we felt as gamers while playing AC2 and listening to this track, you experienced one of the greatest moments in gaming history.
Little did we know when we first played it, about 1 hour into the game later... I have to say, the music has a nice hopefulness in it, and at the same time, a sadness in it.
amazing how... everything went downhill exactly from there into a life entrapped by an ancient battle that is ever-lasting as well as a consistent source of pain & suffering His brothers were spared this... they had it easy in comparison to Ezio
The whole team. Can you forget the first time you saw the reflections of water in Venice? The first time you climbed the san gimignano towers, the first time you pickpocketed in Florence? It will never age
Ezio Auditore is one of the greatest game characters ever created in my opinion. This is a fitting tribute to the childhood of everyone who played AC2!
Absolutely, it was the height of AC games and in general one of the few games that managed to evoke an emotional response from me. I was genuinly upset and vengeful about the way his family was betrayed and murdered. Something todays games just don't have that emotional depth.
Back in the day I would come home after school, do my homework as fast as i could so that i could play ac2 till mom says to go to bed. That was such a light time, when i didn't have any worries about my future and didn't think much of a past. That was time when i still was living with my parents and uncle would come almost every evening and give me ice cream phphph even tho mom didn't like it at all. Now im university student away from home (becuz of quarantine haven't seen my family in a year). I'm really struggling with my studying and very anxious about my exams and basically about future. I just came here to remind myself of that carefree feeling and i almost feel like home now. I really want to play ac2 again but i'm afraid i'll just get so nostalgic and sad i won't be able to leave my room for days :D. But that's fine, i'll grand myself a permission to play if i finish this semester. Good luck to me and to all of u, who've read my little story. Stay strong guys.
All the best brother, you'll make it. I had those same fears all the time, here I am now a master of law. And now the fears are just different haha but they stay. The key is not giving up.
Another artifact? No... You will stay here, i have seen enough for one life. Desmond? He's talking to me? I heard your name once before desmond, a long time ago. And now it lingers in my mind, like an image from an old dream. I do not know where you are or by what means you can hear me, but i know you are listening I have lifed my life as best i could. Not knowing its purpose, but drawn forward like a moth to a distant moon. And here at last i discover a strange truth... That i am only a conduit for a message that elludes my understanding. Who are we? Who have been so blessed to share our stories like this? To speak across centuries. Maybe you will be the one to answer all the questions i have asked, Maybe you will be the one to make all this suffering worth something in the end.... Now, listen
We deserve a remaster of AC2. It was the perfect one. Teenage Ezio going after the murders of this family, the plot thickening beyond thoughts. Fighting for his love, he is the true Assassin.
Climbing up on the church, the dialogue, and this theme playing as the camera pans out while the title fades in will forever be one of gaming's top most iconic moments. "It is a good life we lead, brother." "The best." "May it never change." "And may it never change us." Truly legendary.
When i visited the Florence in 2017, i sat down on the pavement next to Duomo and listened this masterpiece. I felt like i was right next to Ezio and his big brother just like that opening scene. That's how you write a great story. Great job by the story writers of this game. This song gives me goosebumps everytime i listen it.
I have never been to Florence, i just imagined what you just said. I could just feel the peace you may have felt. The story is indeed one of the best !
When my family and I went to Italy in 2017 I was basically in charge of where we went. I insisted on visiting Florence and Rome. I went to the bridge from the start of AC2 where Ezio had a fight, I visited The Cathedral of Santa Maria, I went to Castello Sant'Angelo, the Pantheon and the Colosseum. I was in the square where Ezio's family were executed. It was really surreal and pretty cool. Basically living in my favourite game I first played at 11 years old.
yeah me too, Florence is amazing, the cathedral is the most beautiful church I've ever seen in my life. A true art masterpiece. But one medieval village that impressed me a lot was visiting San Gimignano in Toscana region...oh man...all these middle ages towers, the well, everything felt so beautiful. And I even kind of searched for a secret/hidden entrance that was present in the game haha... to get lost in some of the narrow streets was an unforgetable experience! Being at Rome in that round castle too! The game did such a good job in the architectural accuracy.

When I was a young man, I had liberty, but I did not see it. I had time, but I did not know it. And I had love, but I did not feel it. Many decades would pass before I understood the meaning of all three. And now, the twilight of my life, this understanding has passed into contentment. Love, liberty, and time: once so disposable, are the fuels that drive me forward. And love, most especially, mio caro. For you, our children, our brothers and sisters. And for the vast and wonderful world that gave us life, and keeps us guessing. Endless affection, mia Sofia. Forever yours, Ezio Auditore.
Me neither, I really wish they made a remastered version of the trilogy so we could also experience a better looking version of ezios story and italy is very beautiful so I'd love to see graphical improvements. Hope it happens one day
The best music in any game, ever. cannot even explain the feeling I got the first time I played AC2. I'm jealous of those who are going to experience it for the first time.
For sure you never tried god of war or Halo music. It's not an assumption it's a judgement. This is one super close to that level BTW, right there with the Ezio theme from odyssy.
Hi, Da`Man! Actually this orchestra is more like professional allrounders - yes, they're all classically trained, but also enjoy playing video game music, rap or electro crossover projects or swing! That's the beauty of this radio ensemble - they get to perform so many different styles of music each season. But we DO have a soft spot for gaming music and are happy to have another concert upcoming in January.
@@WDRKlassik gaming music isn't far removed from film scoring which isn't far removed from classical though, so it's really not that far removed as rap or swing, but the diversity in music is why I like your radio ensemble, though nothing wrong with having a soft spot either.
I remember the first time watching the presentation of the first AC, they were talking on how the main protagonist (Altair) climbs on the side of buildings, how he grabs every ledge, crevices he can find, how the animations were so fluid. How he walks between civilians so smoothly and goes unnoticed. The era of when PS3’s and X360’s were considered next gen. Games were original back then. The magic will never be the same.
Nonsense. Every generation has its amazing gems. Think of it, for AC's success, how many bad and un-noteworthy games came out around its time? Plenty. It's just the way it is, the gems stand out and define our earlier times gaming, then we get a bit older and we look back at our old games fondly and don't notice the standout games beside us being released today. Of you were to ask me, I'd say the greatest game ever made came out in 2017. A game called NieR:Automata. I'd been playing games since I was 3, I've enjoyed them. But it wasn't until NieR:Automata that I found a game, or just something in general that I can say that I love with all my heart. I grew up playing games, I lived and breathed video games in my life. But it wasn't until I was a sophomore in highschool that I truly fell in love with a game and what games could be. So on that note, amazing games are released all the time. Some of them you just have to walk through the mud to get to.
Whenever I'm listening to this piece, I get goosebumps all over my body one second in. Thank you, Jesper Kyd and everyone involved in creating this masterpiece.
Fantastic rendition. Everyone performed great, but that soprano voice deserves special mention. So smooth, deep, and well-defined. Just gorgeous, like the singer.
Wow - when she started to sing - GOOSEBUMPS everywhere! AC 2 was the best part so far for me - very cool characters and a very good story and mostly - the epic music!
This soundtrack gives most of us goosebumps even after playing AC2 5-6 years ago. This soundtrack couldn't have been better . Kudos to Jasper Kyd , coming with once in a generation composition. Nothing could have been better that this soundtrack and character of Ezio Auditore .
The joy I feel hearing this piece performed by a live orchestra is immeasurable. The harmonies, the humming of the choir, and that exquisite soloist… The blissful look on the face of the conductor. All members looks so engaged in the piece. These 2 songs are some of the most important pieces of music in my life, what a gift to see it come to life. I remember when I played this game, no worries, just after school hitting my old Xbox without a care in the world . This rendition hits so hard on the feels. Gonna boot up the old Xbox and have another round of this game.

Amazing.
And then how the violin accompanies her voice, simply beautiful.
Literally brought tears when the high violin played right after it too
When I was a young man, I had liberty, but I did not see it.
Forever yours,
Ezio Auditore.
Was this from Revelations or Embers? AC Revelations had by far the most epic moments in the entire storyline.

This instantly made me cry. I will never forget the moments I spend playing Ezio Auditore Da Firenze. One of the best gaming moments I ever had.
so true...
We share the same feeling
Me neither, I really wish they made a remastered version of the trilogy so we could also experience a better looking version of ezios story and italy is very beautiful so I'd love to see graphical improvements. Hope it happens one day
The best music in any game, ever. cannot even explain the feeling I got the first time I played AC2. I'm jealous of those who are going to experience it for the first time.
To relive that game would be an absolute blast.. AC 2 is probably one of my most rated games
@@thejaded I wish I could just forget the game and experience it all over again
For sure you never tried god of war or Halo music. It's not an assumption it's a judgement. This is one super close to that level BTW, right there with the Ezio theme from odyssy.
@@doctorquantum9172 I've played both of those, and it's just my personal opinion that Ezio's family is the best game music ever!

This is why the Ezio story will always always reign supreme. I love all the games but the heartstrings here….I feel every emotion
1:49 You feel Ezio's pain, suffering, love, passion and grief for his family all at once....
4:27 We feel the joy and the passion of the conductor, that's wonderful !!
Jesper Kyd you can be proud of yourself, your music is being played by classical profesionalists :)

But that music, *Ezio's Family* gets me every time.
Hands down the best live vocal performance of Ezio’s Family.. Incredible
Manchmal, ist die Menschheit gar nicht so schlecht.
"no books, no wisdom, just you fratello mio"
requiescat in pace ezio auditore, the greatest assassin ever lived in our heart
La saga di Ezio Auditore da Firenze rimarrà sempre la migliore di tutti gli Assassin's Creed a parer mio, magnifico.🇮🇹
The passion they put into something that I hold dear in my heart bro. Thank you guys
We're glad you like it! 😍

Hi, Jean!
Thank you!
Ezio Auditore is the best Assassin of the Assassin's Creed franchise. Discuss.
No discussions man

Miglior mix di trama musiche personaggi e coinvolgimento in un videogioco / best combination of story, music , characters and involvement about a videogame
yeppp and Black Flag is the best game( I love AC2 and brotherhood ) but that game is next level but Ezio is the most loved character among fans and he is nostalgic
That ain't a question brooo...it's a fact

The emotions that this song brings is like Ezio and his family really existed in this world. And all of us keep remembering him whenever this music plays, each and every day, forever.

I genuinly think that there couldn't have possibly been a theme more fitting then this one for the Ezio trillogy, an absolute masterpiece of a theme.
The greatest gaming storyline and soundtrack I've ever experienced. Will stick with me forever.
When a song from a game can give people chills, Thats when you know you made one of the best games ever.
True, but I remember hearing this for the first time and it was _before_ I had played assassin's creed. It still gave me chills then. It's just so beautifully constructed.
I like watching to the orchestra conductor. He experiences so many emotions while playing.

This is a such a masterpiece. Deserves a standing ovation.
I remember the first time I played AC 2 and this music played when Ezio raced his brother to the top. The music and the memories of this game, to this day, gives me goosebumps.

I see the conductor had a lot of fun directing the play.
I remember when I played this game, no worries, just after school hitting my old Xbox without a care in the world . This rendition hits so hard on the feels. Gonna boot up the old Xbox and have another round of this game.
