Ryan, I just want to tell you, every single one of your videos teaches me a mountain of things. I always learn something new from you, and I almost didn't even click this particular video because I thought, "I already know how to use the camera, this video's going to be more geared toward beginners." I'm glad I didn't listen to myself, because as usual, I walked away from this video with quite a few tips I had no clue about before. You're awesome man, I watch a TON of Blender channels and modeling channels in general, and you're easily one of the best teachers in the whole community.
I'll second your comment. What I like about Ryan's tutorials is that not only are they very informative, but he has an excellent delivery style. He speaks slowly enough that you have time to take in what he's saying, but not so slowly that you'd fall asleep. He also doesn't distract you with off-topic banter like some other tutorials I've watched. There's a fine line between being entertaining and being annoying. Default Cube and Ian Hubert manage to pull it off, but a lot of other tutorial creators should leave the jokes alone.
Can't believe that this basic camera movement (especially double-tapping z to move in/out) is not mentioned by any tutorials elsewhere. Knew there was some way to do this! tks!
Wow! The video title is so humble compared to the extensive information packed into this relatively short video and as many said very clear and right to the point. Thanks for sharing this :)
Thank you! You are a great teacher (telling this 120% honest because I also have experience in teaching people)! Really appreciate your work - every time your tutorials are covering I was looking for. Thanks a million!
Thanks a lot for this tutorial! Ctrl+B is great help, especially for slower hardware. For the camera resolution: there are presets for HD, 4K etc. in the little dropdown.
10000 points for telling me about "grave accent" button being usable to enter camera view instead of numpad 0. I'de watched 5 videos in the past and no one ever told me this so I gave up trying to get into camera view!
sharing it with myself to come back and watch it again if i do forget something cause it's full of usefull information ⚡ thanks a lot for making this video 🤝
thanks for the tutorial. gonna check out your HDRI video. more tips : while using fly mode, use Q/E to go up or down. when in terrain, press tab to simulate walking like FPS games.
You created a fantastic landscape that's perfect to illustrate Blender camera. The Low Poly landscape looks like a great next step after the Donut tutorial for beginners. Thanks!
Oh my god, thank you for the tip about setting the active camera through the view tab. Something happened with my blender shortcuts and nothing is working today.
This tutorial is excellent but it is missing one point which annoys a lot of new users in 3d. That is Camera shift. Especially when you rotate camera to get some funky angle it distorts the vertical lines of object. I do product renders and I struggled a lot with this at the start of my journey. For any one wondering can check out "Blender Tip - Camera Shift for Architecture Renders" by CG Masters. It will help you a lot in product or architecture renders.
wih the shift tilde fly mode you can press TAB and it drops you in the enviroment so if you are making an enviroment for an FPS game or TPS game, this is very useful to see sizes and ratios of places before taking it to a game engine
@@RyanKingArt I did! Seriously thank you so much for making these videos. I have no idea how you learnt all this stuff but without people like you blender would be another program just out of reach. This has made the learning process so much easier as well!

What about the setting below where you left off, regarding the camera size? Mine defaults to 32mm. What should this be set at? And how does it differ from the focal setting?
7:05 I’m having a little trouble, and I accidentally clicked the “X” on it, and now it’s gone and it’s missing, and I don’t know how to get it back. Can someone help?
Hey I've been looking for a solution for over an hour now. Maybe a dump queastion but is that what u show on 4:35 not possible at: when i add my camera a Constaint "follow path". I want to tilt/rotate my camera but i cant change it. is that normal? If i just select a camera and the path, press strg+p - follow path. than klick cam, press R i can rotate the camera itself 🤯 Thank You
Great video. One suggestion, try and keep the video less than a couple of minutes as for someone who is learning blender for the first time, I just want to know how to render something, I don't need all this detail and the length of the video can make it boring and overwhelming. That being said, it was very informative.
Bro can you please make a video on how to take cinematic shots with multiple camera's in blender this would be really helpful . BTW this was a good and helpful tutorial done a great job as you always do. Thank you 😇
I spent ages looking and watching Videos of People Clicking it and Moving it not saying Anything. You have just saved me! Thank you So Much 💖💖

always uncheck motion blur 1st thing, forget that then hours later when it finishes rendering you're like wtf is up with this
