I suffer really badly with social anxiety that's how I came across your YT channel 4 years ago when I watched your 'living with social anxiety' video. Talking on the phone is my worst nightmare! It's nice to know that there is hope for things to get better from your experience 😊

Would love to see a video on dating and making friends with social anxiety. This was helpful for me because I feel like my social anxiety has decreased and I'm now in a place where I can take steps needed to move forward and past it. But I do still get lost sometimes. Any insight on how to progress further would be great. Thank you for these laid back videos discussing topics that need more attention!

Loving this post. You inspire and educate so many who are both suffering from anxiety, and people like me who are fortunate enough to not have anxiety, but want to learn and understand more.
I also like this format a lot. It feels very much in tune with both your style of storytelling and your sincerity.
Would be interesting to hear about your experience regarding friendships and social anxiety. I’d be interested to know how to better approach (and when not to) those around me who has to deal with anxiety.

Oh my goodness, every single thing you said starting from 3:45 about your outing is my exact daily experience. Being in a social group for hours, saying maybe one sentence PER HOUR (sometimes more, sometimes less), being extremely conscious of the fact that I'm not speaking the entire time (and feeling so horrible about it but physically not being able to open my mouth), that consciousness making things so much harder each minute that passes . It truly is horrible, but finally hearing someone else say what I feel brought tears to my eyes because I feel so alone. One on one I feel not as terrified about, but in groups I'm literally just a shell. I really feel like it's hopeless because I've had 11 therapy sessions so far and don't think my therapist could possibly be any better and yet I feel like I've made NO progress. We have group work every single day in my classes and I have barely made any improvements since day 1 of these classes. Or I'm improving at an EXTREMELY slow pace that won't help me. Hearing that it is possible to not even REMEMBER you had social anxiety and for all of these thoughts to be just...gone, makes my jaw drop. But your video gave me hope, thank you :) and way to go!

I understand the pain of not knowing what to say, or how to say something you really want others to hear, during meeting and any get togethers. For the great 3 years I barely talked with anyone, I was so socially awkward I didn't feel any topic, I couldn't really add anything from myself. Well, because I met certain people a while after, I managed to break this wall, but it was a fight. I wish all of you guys to stay strong no matter the outcome of your own battles, and to find people who care about you as much as my friends.💙

a video about relationships and dating would be super helpful for me as i do not really get anyone really close to myself and feel quite lonely and even bad because i quite push people away and do not get them a chance. something really scares me about the idea to open up and on the other side i wish to have someone i can tell all my worries and feelings...people really scare me

I would love and appreciate a dating/relationship video. Currently long distance dating an amazing woman who struggles a lot with anxiety and I am trying really hard to be understanding and supportive. She means so much to. I just want to be there and help as much as possible. Thank you for sharing about your mental health. I wish it was that easy though or just cast expecto patronum to chase the dementors away.

Last week i finally told my best friends about my social anxiety. But that was horrible. They didn't give a shit about me and now they make fun of me. I wish i didn't tell them. I thought they will be supportive. If i can't tell that to my best friend then how i find the power to go the therapist

Im really sorry to hear about that eithier your friends are really oblivius and have never heard of anxiety or they dont care a less and arnt a true friend (i cant tell u which one) Pepole care but some good friends can be hard to find but do exsist a real friend can be hard to find but will always stick by your side. Its a really good idea to see a good therpist or have someone by your side that understands u if they understand they wont make fun enless there a careless humanbeing. Best of luck too u. I think u did the right thing by telling them to see if they would stick by your side i really hope they will understand if they are real friends.

That is so horrible, I'm so sorry. That is probably one of the worst things you could do to someone with social anxiety, because we always fear being judged and when that does happen, we feel like we have even more of a reason to believe in our anxiety. Maybe it will help to remember that while many people do not understand mental health issues - ESPECIALLY social anxiety (a very misunderstood condition), therapists DO understand and are specifically trained to know all about it and how to help you!! They know how serious it is and would never dare to make fun of you. I was really terrified of making a phone call to schedule my first therapy appointment (put it off for weeks, voice shaking, armpits dripping) but it was so worth it, and you will feel so understood. Your therapist also can help you navigate this situation with your friends and determine if they really are your true friends and just don't understand how serious social anxiety is, or if something else is going on. I'm really proud and admire you for telling them about your social anxiety!! It took me 10 years to tell my absolute BEST friend that I thought I had it. You are already making great steps towards taking care of yourself and speaking up for yourself!
Wow sorry that was long lol
