@@VRFlightSimGuy technically the fidelity on the g2 was better than the 8kx but the FOV on the 8kx more than makes up for it for me. Playing something like Elite Dangerous in the 8kx is truly amazing. If Varjo bring out a consumer version then the Pimax might go but until then I think I’m sorted. Now I just need to get my hands on an RTX 3080ti or 3090! You are so lucky to have one of those!!
Just got my vive pro 2. it will not show a picture at all. and keep getting Composite was disconected. changed Resolution from medium to high to extreme still same. please help
I have the pro eye, do you think the VP2 is better than VP1 enough to upgrade? I would like less screen door, but am concerned about the different lenses and lack of OLED and eye tracking
Was this mirror recording on your AMD system or your personal Intel / Nvidia pc? Funny to see you get lost on GA parking leaving but also arriving on airports lol :-) You need park assist on your Warrior II ;-) Fun video. Great scenery indeed. Got to check if I have that Orbx airport yet. Don't forget to update your Pilot Plus Bristol Airport to version 1.0.1. Loving the Word Update 6. I'll have to bookmark that Mic if I ever get that Varjo VR-3 because that does not have any Mic or headphone. Enjoy your nice setups and see you later my friend.
Hey Sven, this video is like two months old now lol It's actually using sim update 4 (not 5 mentioned in the video). You've noticed how I seem to get lost a lot haha I think I'm safer in the air than on the ground ;) Are you tempted by the VR-3 Sven?
@@VRFlightSimGuy I'll defenitly have to upgrade my GPU first and see if Varjo listened to us VR enthusiasts if the want to make an consumer version with good Audio with micro... haha that made me chuckle! Thanks Uwe, I really hoped for more from this headset, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Such a missed opportunity. Thanks for taking the time to watch, have a great day!
im still rocking my OG vive, not sure wether to go for vive pro the vive pro 2 or index, or go all out and get the pimax. im swaying to the vive pro as they are so cheap at the moment. how bad is the screen door on the vive pro?
Hi Steve thanks for the videos, I'm dipping my toe into vr for flightsim 2020 now I have my new scan PC. The Vario looks fantastic however as this will be my first headset I was thinking of going for the HP reverb g2, any advice on this. Thanks.
Hi, got an AMD 5950x 64 GB of ram with a EVGA 3090 from Scan. Ordered it back in January, it was delivered in May and I have finally been able to get over from France to collect it . Obviously the vario is the best set out there but I can't justify spending 3000 plus a yearly subscription.
@@julianhall2008 I'd recommend the Reverb G2 so long as your bios and drivers are up to date, make sure to get a powered USB hub too, another option could be the Pimax 8KX, that's currently the best VR headset for flight simulation right now.
I had that choice to make when I bought the Vive Pro 2. I genuinely preferred my Quest 2 which made me cry a little inside as it cost me over £1300 for the full Vive kit. Fortunately I was able to get my money back. Bought a Reverb G2 for MSFS and still use my Quest 2 for active games. These two headsets are by far the best for performance vs value imo. Looking forward to hearing what Zuckerberg announces at Facebook Connect next month.
Crazy how different a headset can be for a person. I have the vp2 and gotta say 1. Headset never gets warm (3+ hour sessions) 2. Mic is indistinguishable between index/q2 vs vp2 in vrchat (blind test we have done to multiple groups of people) 3. Audio has to much bass and lacks highs wich q2 does a better job at. But overall good audio. 4. 1 thing we can agree on, screw htc about using these lenses. I hate these lenses with a passion.
@@VRFlightSimGuy I'm starting to think why people can't tell the difference in vrchat is that games audio compression. But agreed, in video like this, the mic is bad.
@@MrHoward888 There isn’t much audio compression on VRChat, I have a friend who owns a Vive Pro and another one who owns an Index and the Index mic was clear and good, but the Vive Pro mic sounded like such a huge downgrade compared to the Index, just how it would usually sound.
Im agree with all 5. But you can get better sound with equalizer, tvere is a video on youtube. And you can cool the headset with a fan i front of you. Still im keeping mine. Maby it will be replaced by a pimax 8k+ or kx🤔
Hey Kevin, sorry to bitch about the Vive Pro 2 here, I'm so frustrated with this headset as it could have been so great. However, it's still a good headset and has the best colours of any LCD panel I've seen (video of that coming soon too in Elite Dangerous). Take care.
looks like they just slapped a higher res panel in the vive pro and put all their resources into the focus, which is a really nice design, but the old fresnel lenses are just ruining the potential of these 4K+ panels
Indeed.. tbh, it's (largely) all about the lens but unfortunately that's quite a big cost thing... i'm a photographer and good quality optics costs and there is no other way around it.
I have a G2 and Quest 2, so I'm going to skip the Vive Pro 2. Just too expensive and not really worth the price.. Maybe sometime later or early next year we will have a headset out that's truly worth it.
That's a strange thing to say. Quest 2 has terrible audio, terrible headstrap, terrible image quality because it doesn't support DP connection, one of the narrowest FOV in the industry, but it's pretty easy to use, the tracking is good too and sure it's quite cheap (it's of similar price to G2 in my country though - converted to USD: Q2 128GB is 580 USD and G2 is 650 USD). I have Quest 2 as well, but ever since I bought G2, there's no reason to ever connect Q2. If you are a PCVR user, Q2 is not a good choice. If you can afford it, buy G2.
@@ThorvaldsenCZ image quality is sharp/great but then I do super sample around 2900x2900 120hz , I use a custom strap & headphones Sometimes wireless 10900k & 3080 water coooled Each to their own but much prefer the Q2 vs vp2 , I used the vp2 for about a week prior to returning it imo it was a downgrade vs Q2 PS the reverb g2 is on discount in the UK ( system active voucher ) at the moment I’ve not tried one but going back to 90hz puts me off , I’m holding out for what ever maybe released in 2022

Easily yes
