Basically what tiktok videos do to keep peoples attention like putting subway surfers below the video, you can now do that in real life too. I doubt the technology is good enough to be used when driving although if done right it could have advantages. The cameras could eliminate glare or darken the sun so you can see properly, it could have AR navigation but again only if done right and safely, so no apps other than the navigation open when driving. The field of view would also have to be as good as the human eye, if not better before it is allowed to be used when driving. Adding AR features to windscreens or on the dashboard is likely a safer option. Someone should try it when driving but on private property and slowly just to see if it lets you use it or not, if it does then that is a huge safety concern. So true! The last thing many of us need after eight hours of screen time is more screen time. If such devices become common place, I predict society will begin to face mass eyesight issues...
I think the easiest way to loosen the social pressure when using it outdoors is to just add an emoji LED (facing outwards). The vision pro can read your eye movements, you can default it to show o.o, or @_@, or ^_^. It can emoji wink when you wink, it can emoji smile when you smile. People just feel awkward at the disconnected feeling when someone is wearing a headet.
Tbh, screen space reflections and the like have been around for years (edit: decades, even) now. And I am quite sure that there are enough VRC worlds already that can do reflections just like that. Though yeah, those captures for the worlds are quite impressive.

Three weeks ago me and two other professors published a podcast episode about the Apple Vision Pro's impact on human relationships, and I'm happy to see that we got a lot of points in common with this review, specially the loneliness and scape reality points. Great review.
If you're a professor then I would expect that you'd know the difference between "Specially" and "Especially". It's hard to take people seriously when they don't understand basic words, just like people that say "Cause" instead of "Because".
@@dethvyper3136 "Cause" is an informal/shortened version of "because" It's used formally and informally, so in informal conversations saying "cause" instead of "because" is still correct, since they have the same meaning :>
@@dethvyper3136 Another note, "specially" can absolutely be used in such a sentence. (It's still more fitting to say "Especially", but "specially" still works.)
@@dethvyper3136Good on you, however, you do know informal speech. Unless you've literally been sitting under a rock for your entire 50 years, slang is extremely common.
Oh my gosh if there was a Pokémon GO app for the Vision Pro that made it feel like you were in the actual Pokémon GO universe I would get the Vision Pro in a second😮
20:32 Yeah, that’s how people feel around people who are completely lost in their phone. Some of us actually kinda miss the days when cell phones just called, texted; and took pictures - or at least where your entire world wasn’t based on your phone.
Yuppppop this is is why i subscribe, you break the third wall to the next level ,how you made yourself known in the crowd 3:55 he says “like they want to turn around” it’s crazy you would think they were the ones who had their faces in a screen by how they were reacting towards you like a outcast 😂
I’ve been waiting for your review for months. And now that it’s out, I’m glad you took your time. You’ve given a perspective that’s so beautiful and heart breaking that this one video could potentially become a revolution against this whole range of tech.
I like the attention span talk you added! And the thing about boredom and it being able to spark creativity was super interesting! Personally, I am always the most creative when im busy doing things, but thats just my experience too! Loved the video
This apple vision pro review is absolutely brilliant. You covered so many pointers that most people could rarely replicate. Your approach and the flow of this video is very good. Well done on this
There is no doubt that this review is the best for the Vision Pro! Compared to the other videos I've seen on the Vision Pro, I think your angle is much more real and honest.
Well, except for "Look at the way you can now immerse yourself in complete privacy even in a crowded environment! Look how NOW you can have your own virtual movie theater for the first time ever!" That wasn't Honest AT ALL. Why do people keep lying about this? Why are YOU lying about this? Have you never seen a VR headset before? Yes, Apple Vision Pro is crisper and more detailed, but that's not what is being said, or what is said in this video. It literally says that never before have you been able to go into a virtual theater, and that is simply 100% untrue. Also, i've never encountered a single person who could not adjust the fit of any of my 3 Quests, my Go, or PSVR so that it at least fit on their head, but he states in the video that some people cannot try his Apple Vision Pro because it's impossible to adjust it enough for their head size and that this is true of every other VR headset. So there is another false statement, although less so. It IS true that every headset needs minor adjustment when passing off.
I'm so glad I got a Quest 3. Almost all of those missing features are covered and more for a fraction of the cost. But the future of VR/AR is looking very promising for all over the coming years!
I think your observations and opinions are spot on for this product and you’ve touched on points no other RUclips reviewer has with regard to shortcomings…The inherent issues you pointed out can’t really be overcome because they are essentially the weaknesses of using any product like vision pro. I also agree with your over stimulation statements…I have always had my kids and myself put away all electronics on Sunday’s to rest….we read or do whatever just no electronics….de-stressing and detoxing for a brief period does allow your brain to rest, function and focus better long term. Thanks for all you do. Have a blessed day👋🏻
So many videos about Vision Pro, even my second favourite MKBHD, but always waited for the Mrwhosetheboss. Today, I told my friend I wanted the MrWhoseTheBoss video on it, and it released 30 minutes ago! Yayyyyyy
Woah, what are those lights on your screen?! I've been spending the past few days color matching some screens at work and saw that and am blown away such an option even exists. Great video too!
I had second thoughts of watching this Vision Pro review because I am really interested in what this device can do. Every one else didn't explain it better than this. THANK YOU MR WHOSETHEBOSS, you are indeed the boss.
I think it would be good if Apple could give you the option of pointing with your index finger and the system detects when you make that gesture and highlights what you're pointing at or a subtle cursor of some kind appears. When you making a pressing motion it selects
far from it being the best. infact you should look at the youtube channel , " Dope or Nope " .they carefully compare and test every marketing material that came with the vision pro to check if what they said is fact true . sadly it aint ...for most of it . The silliest is the meditation part with your eyes wide open , and of course you dont certainly realise it when u look at the marketing .
18:38 Plus, most people now look at the window, not the keyboard. Having to look at the keyboard not only cuts down half of what you’re able to do, but if you have to physically look at every letter you want to type, and make sure you’re using correct grammar and spelling, it’s going to make typing anything a lot more time consuming and cumbersome
oh btw the vison pro does have an ability to have a wired connection but you need to pay for an expensive adapter thing that replaces one of your side thingys
21:17 One big thing for the custom fit: PUPIL DISTANCE. For example, if you order prescription eyeglasses online, you will need this number so the lenses are properly centered over each eye.
Glad you mentioned how special the 3D capabilities are for it. It's the best technology we currently have to deliver 3D imagery to our eyes. 3D in movie theaters has always been based on placing both images on the same screen, either alternating very quickly many times per second and having the glasses have electronic shutters in them that are synced up to the alternating images... or using polarized lenses in the glasses and displaying the images with different polarization. The first way creates the 3D image by tricking your brain into seeing two different images at once, when it isn't, so it can create strain for some people, and can increase judder, etc. The second way dims the image and can cause ghosting problems when the polarization doesn't quite filter the images out from each other perfectly, and the effect also disappears when you tilt your head, so you have to keep your head perfectly straight to see it properly. VR headsets have always been the best way to see 3D images, because it actually has two separate screens delivering a separate image directly to each eye at full brightness and perfect discreetness at the exact same time... but the problem there has always been low resolution and screen-door effects... but with the resolution of the screens that Apple shoved into the Vision Pro, that now takes that one last hurdle away, and VIOLA! ... We now have a device that delivers the most perfect 3D experience possible.
Great review! I have mine and love it, but I do agree with how it disconnects you from people. They definitely need to find a way to keep it from isolating you. Though I will say that after a while most people don’t feel that I am isolated from them. I’ve noticed like everything else they get used to me wearing it and I just let them know that I can see everything and to let me know if they need anything. the first week or two it did feel very isolating but now not so much though I will say that isolating feature is great when you’re working on it to keep you focused and not being constantly distracted by your phone or other things.
Maybe people got angry because he was showing off his 3500$ headset. I mean what would people think other than showing off. Vision pro isn't suitable for using in every day world. I am not justifying it but i am just stating what people might have thought. It's kind of like how all the students hate the student who uses luxurious item in everything.
If they started becoming cheaper and more people started having them I think the loneliness issue could be largely resolved by being able to connect your virtual world to another person, meaning all of the virtual screens and overlays are (toggleably) visible to both you and whoever you are with. That would be amazing.
I'm skeptical that VR/AR headsets are going to take off as a mass market device the way they are currently conceived. They are too heavy, and too uncomfortable to use for a prolonged period of time. It's very expensive. It causes too much eye strain to be useful in replacing normal desktop work. It will probably have a niche amongst certain tech enthusiasts, and maybe in certain jobs and training situations.
It's a first generation product. It's not meant for the masses, it's meant for early adapters. 10 years into the future and we'll have smaller ones with better battery life and a full ecosystem. It's scary, but has a lot of potential.
@@OrionTails Apple's mistake is making a VR headset and pretending they made an AR headset. If you want to see what a real AR headset looks like, check out the XReal Air2 or the Immersed Visor. That's the future. For now, Apple is competing with the Quest 3, which has the VP beat by a mile for just about every possible use case. For productivity, there's no contest. I can have as many monitors as I want and I can see my keyboard at the same time, even in an immersive environment. Oh, and the battery can last through an entire movie.
Its literally one of the best gaming mediums and the markets only make tech demos and enterprise gimmicks while indie devs carry the entire industry on their back
The idea that apple connecting to apple "just works" is accurate to a point... but it's also true to say that when something apple doesn't work for some reason (usually some kind of network blip) that it's nearly impossible to fix.

So true! The last thing many of us need after eight hours of screen time is more screen time. If such devices become common place, I predict society will begin to face mass eyesight issues...

Arun, loved this video, the part where you said boredom is required for creativity, i really liked that a lot. Thank you for being so honest.
Why do you look 53 years old in the thumbnail?
Because the Apple Vision Pro is pushing his cheeks down simulating the sagging of gravity over time.
Hahaha 😂
That’s oddly specific

He's forgotten to put the AI filter on that picture.
Probably the best Vision Pro review out there

Finally someone explains why the screenshot blackout is actually annoying! Other points are also informative! Great job Arun!
Edit: I'm referring to 15:06 that you cannot even take a lousy screenshot of it with a camera
It's the same as shadow play disabling itself when you open netflix. Or when you use windows snip and sketch tool while netflix is open it creates a black image. You're not even in control of your own device anymore. If i wanted to record netflix and distribute it I could've easily downloaded another program for it. It's just stupid.
I tried to screenshot something on Apple Fitness+ with my iPhone. The health data was there, but the video itself was blacked out. I couldn't take a freaking screenshot!! Very disappointing.
Android this problem doesn't exist because pervs will hack anything to record what girls send on snap

This is the most detailed and honest review of the Apple Vision Pro seen by far.
Very nice review!!
far from it being the best. infact you should look at the youtube channel , " Dope or Nope " .they carefully compare and test every marketing material that came with the vision pro to check if what they said is fact true . sadly it aint ...for most of it . The silliest is the meditation part with your eyes wide open , and of course you dont certainly realise it when u look at the marketing .
@@dethvyper3136 "Cause" is an informal/shortened version of "because"
It's used formally and informally, so in informal conversations saying "cause" instead of "because" is still correct, since they have the same meaning :>
@@dethvyper3136 Another note, "specially" can absolutely be used in such a sentence. (It's still more fitting to say "Especially", but "specially" still works.)
@@ArethMaster ......I learnt proper English when I went to school. We didn't learn careless informal speech. I'm in my 50's.

they should add haptic feedback when using the headset. it would be nice to have that sense when you 'click' on a virtual menu

I’ve been waiting for your review for months. And now that it’s out, I’m glad you took your time. You’ve given a perspective that’s so beautiful and heart breaking that this one video could potentially become a revolution against this whole range of tech.
I really appreciate you talking about the pros AND cons of the products. That makes you doubly trustworthy.
I like the attention span talk you added! And the thing about boredom and it being able to spark creativity was super interesting! Personally, I am always the most creative when im busy doing things, but thats just my experience too! Loved the video
Hands down the best review of this I’ve seen. Thanks Arun 🙌🏻
This apple vision pro review is absolutely brilliant. You covered so many pointers that most people could rarely replicate. Your approach and the flow of this video is very good. Well done on this
By far the best review I have seen yet on this product. Thank you Arun ❤
Damn I've waited for this video👍🏻
There is no doubt that this review is the best for the Vision Pro! Compared to the other videos I've seen on the Vision Pro, I think your angle is much more real and honest.
Much more biased as always
@@ziiiic what is biased about it?
@@oh-noeThey are an iSheep so they can’t handle any criticism of apple
You have earned my highest level of respect. I have been a product manager in CE for twenty years and you clearly have the instincts we have.
I'm so glad I got a Quest 3. Almost all of those missing features are covered and more for a fraction of the cost.
But the future of VR/AR is looking very promising for all over the coming years!
yeah hes giving this thing too much credit when the quest 3 is better then it in a lot of things but a fraction of the price
behold: guy who doesnt watch the entire vid before commenting
I hope this is not the future.

I do. This has so many applications in day to day life
I think it will be the future but i hope it would be smart glasses instead of vr/ar headset
No isn't
It will be like in Back to the Future 2 where Marty's son is acting weird cuz he was wearing goggles like these ones
I can only state what many others have, this review is incredible, particularly the human considerations of how it will affect us. Bravo!
I think it would be useful for flying a drone, or running a piece of equipment.
Have a blessed day👋🏻
I like the idea of a no electronics Sunday, sounds fun

I think it would be good if Apple could give you the option of pointing with your index finger and the system detects when you make that gesture and highlights what you're pointing at or a subtle cursor of some kind appears. When you making a pressing motion it selects
I've seen a lot of other reviews, this one is well articulated and explained with the pros and cons of this new concept, this new device. Well done!

20:02 "It's kinda lonely in here" 😔
18:38 Plus, most people now look at the window, not the keyboard.
Honestly was waiting for a video on Vision Pro from you for a long time

21:17 One big thing for the custom fit: PUPIL DISTANCE. For example, if you order prescription eyeglasses online, you will need this number so the lenses are properly centered over each eye.
19:20 I thought the whole point of AppleVision Pro was not NEEDING to look at or pick up your phone.
the fact people actually think people are ever going to wear this for more than 10 minutes per day is very concerning

Always the best, most interesting reviews. Thank you!

I’ve noticed like everything else they get used to me wearing it and I just let them know that I can see everything and to let me know if they need anything. the first week or two it did feel very isolating but now not so much though I will say that isolating feature is great when you’re working on it to keep you focused and not being constantly distracted by your phone or other things.

crazy to me how much of what you described this headset is used for is already possible on the quest headsets
And the Meta Quest 3 does it all with a much wider field of view too‼️
“…it’s cushioned but airy, it doesn’t get clammy or sweaty and yes the headset is heavy…” Barzzzz 😂

*NO we want you to fill in the blank at **4:02**, why would people be upset at the technology that you own? It doesnt affect their life*
Maybe people got angry because he was showing off his 3500$ headset. I mean what would people think other than showing off. Vision pro isn't suitable for using in every day world. I am not justifying it but i am just stating what people might have thought. It's kind of like how all the students hate the student who uses luxurious item in everything.
2:01 Arun looks like a mii avatar here 😭😭
If they started becoming cheaper and more people started having them I think the loneliness issue could be largely resolved by being able to connect your virtual world to another person, meaning all of the virtual screens and overlays are (toggleably) visible to both you and whoever you are with.

I agree
