Its a good versatile headset I feel like, using cable for my sim/ elite dangerous etc moments and wireless for roomscale type games for extra immersion and excellent tracking with index controllers :) but do agree that vp2 probable isnt the best choice for flight sims only..
Get a thinner Facepad. Just like the Reverb G2, VP2 comes with a thick one-size-fits-all facepad so people with glasses can wear it right out of the box. If you don't wear glasses, a thinner facepad completely changes the game for Vive Pro 2. I haven't tried the VR Cover facepad that MRTV recommends so can't comment on that, but I use the Kiwi Design 6mm Facepad (made for Vive 1, but VP2 has the same facepad form factor so it fits just fine). It eliminates the binocular overlap (I have a 59mm IPD, YMMV), and the VFOV is big enough that the top of the display is completely out of my FOV, and the HFOV is about 10° wider.
Nice video like you spoil us with all the time. Makes making new videos an even bigger challenge to improve ;) Maybe use a second computer to capture with a capture card? But for me I'm sticking to my G2 till an OLED version comes with a bigger FOV. Thanks for doing all this testing. Great work.
