I am one of those people who tends to rush meals (please don't kick me out!) That is due in large part to my chronic fatigue and never feeling up to much physical activity. But one of the reasons I love to watch you is your passion for food. It makes me want to try harder, to cook more and really savor it. So thank you for that! Please don't eve stop sharing your passion for food!
Miles hey. I just wanted to say how much your videos have helped me out. I've had eating disorders for the last 12 years; all different types. I've been to more hospitals, outpatient programs, rehabs, therapists, and psychiatrists than I can count, and at age 22 I've had enough health scares that it's just normal for me to faint, or not be able to stay awake, or find myself curled on the floor in so much pain that I come close to losing consciousness or throwing up. After so many failed attempts at recovery, I think like, "docs say I might not live to 30, but hey, I didn't expect to make it to 19, so I'll call it a win." The last year has been hellish and every time I "fuck up," I experience such self-hatred and hopelessness that death genuinely looks like a very reasonable, logical option. I've been close to giving up. Anyway, watching your videos has been some kind of magical source of comfort and humor and healing, and today, literally for the first time I can ever, ever remember, I just felt some hope, and for the first time, the idea of thriving and being healthy and feeling good about what I eat seemed more appealing than looking like a corpse. I'm far from "recovered," not at all. But it's been so fucking long since I thought there was even a sliver of hope of getting out of this. So really, really, thank you
gorgeous soul, fair play to you for opening up. i'm also in search of hope but on a very different journey than yours. your message will help many people x sending much love
all 3 meals looked incred! I swear you has a talent for just playing with things and making them work lol! I made the fries and omg you are right parsnips are insanely delicious and filling xx
omg its been a minute since ive watched you, but since the last time, im glad you are doing so much better and thriving. enjoyed the recipes thanks! I wanna try the creamy red pasta one!
OMG Miles, these meals look amazing 🤩🤩🤩I'm in recovery from an eating disorder and trying to cook for myself and find new ideas and these are fire!!! I can't wait to try some and I think even I can manage cooking them! 😅Great video, thanks for the ideas! Love from Hollywood! ❤❤❤❤❤
@@Sisi-vk6pn Hi friend! It's great to meet you! I'm glad you found my channel! You can do it and start healing! Sending love to you. are you on instagram? or you can email me!
Roasted parsnips, mushroom stock, (red miso/marmite) unsweetened soy cream: blend. Sautéed leeks and golden onions. Pour parsnip puree on top. Fresh thyme, rubbed sage. Simmer. Best served with toasted rosemary sourdough. Side salad of: sorrel, samphire, Romaine, baby kale, vinaigrette made with za'atar and herb de Provence, white beans.
You’re such a great chef! Thank you for all the great ideas! You have this talent of making excellent food in a short period of time that not only tastes good, but is packed with nutrients! Thanks a bunch!! I learn so much from your videos every time!
okay, that smoothie combo looks bomb! PB coconut oatmeal is one of my favorite combos and I now want to add in a sprinkling of choc chips for that smoothie combo but in cozy oat form!!
I love lots of *plus size* garlic too 🤣🤣🤣 You're last video was so good BTW, love how you will be "brave enough" (sounds silly but here we are) to mention how much you care for kids and the insanity thats happening to them currently 💚
I understand you about dill. Growing up in Turkey, my mother would put dille on literally every dish (except for dessert, I guess), I get offended by people don't like dill
You are right parsnip is not a popular vegetable! I’m excited to try your way of making them. I also want to confess you using the parchment paper had me feeling much better plus I believe they may have gotten crispier . Could be just wishful thinking too. Blessings from Hawaii Aloha 🌺😎🏄🏼♂️
I’m definitely trying out all of your amazing recipe ideas. For the red peppers one, I looked up the cost of them in my local and they were £1:50 for two, so that’s £4.50 for six so I’m going to stick to regular peppers to save on cost. I really like the spiking the hummus with flavour and the minimalistic setting you have :)
Thanks for the beautiful inspiration. Parsnips are banging, I love them. I experience cPTSD, I'm working on not being in hypervigilant mode - it definitely burns through calories. I'd like to put some more weight on, I need to introduce some of your recipes 🙌🏼
There's also silikone baking sheets that are reusable. Not sure how well they work but great that silicone is so heat resistant apparently. I might try it out some day if it avoids aluminum or non-stick agent's contamination from the paper stuff. 😊 Once my dish washer is working.
"You can thank me later" had me giggling out loud. IDK if you remember this but you made a video once like this and you had a yogurt bowl with PB, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, chocolate chips and I think like hemp seeds maybe? But let me tell you I'm STILL thanking you since that video because I damn near eat it every single day and I just want to say thank you later! Haha
I consider any and all recipes anyone gives a general idea. As a woman who needs fewer calories and a diabetic to boot you make adjustments with ingredients you can consume in amounts right for you.If someone is complaining about your suggestions I feel sorry for them and you. They clearly are lacking problem solving skills.
I made this pasta but the sauce had a bitter taste from the hempseeds, even though they were fresh hempseeds, did not like it 😢. Next time I would 100% use cashews instead, as they are neutral in flavour✌️
Controversial opinion but peanut butter actually doesn’t go with chocolate that well. I love them both independently and it upsets me people disrespect them both in this way.
The alpro stuff is nice that it has added calcium but sad it has often these added flavors and useless, nutrient lacking thickeners like gellan. I wish they'd improve that and just put real food in there, then no flavors or thickeners are needed.
"If I didn't enjoy it it didn't happen" is gonna be my new catchphrase

Miles: parsnips don’t go with tahini
5mins later, Miles-adds hummus (containing tahini) for a dip with the parsnips
Finally someone gets me ahahha. I also feel that if I am not emotionally satisfied after eating, then I do not feel happy.
Yum yum!

There is a restaurant I went to in NY state (not NYC) that had parsnip fries. Parsnips are AMAZING.
Had to make the pasta... It did not disappoint! FYI you forgot to add basil in the ingredients in the description
Plus size cloves of garlic😂😂😂
The rain❤

I made that same one for weeks! Almond butter too but I skipped the protein powder. This deserves a come back.
I love parsnips ❤️
sorry but also the “plus size garlic” 😭😭🤣
Ps. In parsnip, I think it’s not the starch which makes you feel full, but the inulin, it’s a soluble fiber.
Parsnips in US= ewwww, what is that weird white carrot thing, no.😂
whispers......I do like them.❤️
I love parsnips, too! I swear, they help me loose weight.
made bean on toast . almost had a mbd bc I ran out of toast Bread but had English muffins so a good save..but stopped what I was doing to watch ur vid
This kitchen always looks sooo clean like a clinic mine looks like a battlefield please Miles come vist me 😂👍
I know some people who don't like eating. I have the opposite problem. I'm generally not happy if I'm not eating
Note to self:
Wedges dipped in dill hummus
Creamy tomato pasta
The speed with which I clicked on this...
Add 5 beautiful, plus sized garlic cloves lol
Best format, as usual. Shazam didn't recognise music, heeelp

When are you gonna join the Vitamix cult? It is seriously a game-changer!
The thinner you cut the parsnips the better, I think.
