- The new Streamlight TLR-7X is on the market and causing some confusion in the holster world. We have been getting calls daily asking if the TLR-7X and will fit the holsters for the TLR-7A....the answer is YES!
We will go over the light and if it is worth the upgrade or not!

Good info, thanks👍
Your welcome. Thanks for watching
Do they have the same footprint? Are you going to offer an fn reflex with the tlr7x holster.
Most people with reflex stay with tlr7 sub. The regular tlr7a / tlr7x hangs lower than trigger guard is bulkier on such a small pistol
Good looking out 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 the only thing different is the lumens..😂
As always keep making great content Brother.
Both are 500 lumens…
Thanks for watching and your support!
I bought tlr-7x a week ago and it’s came with a rechargeable battery and charging cord…
Will this light fit FN Reflex?
The tlr7 sub is way better for that pistol
So does the sl-b9 battery not work in the tlr-7’s?
Have not tried to be honest
Yes it will. Channel called "Outer Limitless 2" tested it out in a video. Unsure if theres any difference in the inner components btwn the 2 models, but the A definitely turned on w the SL-B9 battery.
@@superrad1659 so if werkz holster can get a hl-x head with a sl-9 battery on a tlr-7a, they can test the lumen/candela output. This can bypass having to buy the unit cuz it would ve half the cost of a new tlr unit n
@@artimla492 Yeah idk if you';ll be able to buy the HL heads by themselves (as an upgrade to preexisting TLR7's) but that would be cool. They'd prob sell a TON of heads but fewer complete units lol.
Basically just get a Surefire lol
If budget allows Surefire makes great lights. Unfortunately Surefire price point is out of reach for a lot of customers.
Thanks for watching!
The only upgrade is the "battery" it's rechargeable so why not just stick with the TLR7A and get the rechargeable battery.
Now they have the HL-X so both are outdated lol
Will the old TLR7A support the rechargeable 3.7 volt battery? It won’t fry anything?
The lumens are not the same... The "X" model has 1000 lumens & steps down to 500 lumens... the "A" model is 500 lumens only ... From what the streamlight guy said in a video
Check streamlight website for yourself. It is 500 lumens....

@@muddyrivertactical YUP, web site says the "RUclips Streamlight rep" was WRONG. He specifically said what I mentioned in my first comment. Streamlight website doesn't mention 1k lumens or stepdown to 500 lumens🤷♂
@@HerkWallacewith a cr123 the lumens and candela will be the same. With the 3.6v rechargeable battery lumens and candela will be higher. The 1000 lumen from the RUclips stream light guy was with the new longer light cap and rechargeable battery. I believe that will be another model.
Thats the *TLR7 HL-X* supposed to come out in a month or 2, just announced a week or so ago. Its the same TLR7 body with a larger updated head.
Shame on you Streamlight.
