Deli it's always so heartwarming to see how inclusive you are. With every statement you try to include everyone and think of different life stages/circumstances that your viewers might be in. For some weird reason your thoughts about your shakshuka and that not everybody can cook like this all the time struck a chord and made me feel better about myself. Thank you and lots of love from a tired mom from Germany! ❤
I love that you showed us the behind-the-scenes footage of your video intro. The recipes look fantastic! You could substitute lima beans for the fava beans, however, I'm not a huge fan of the texture of either so I like to substitute cannellini beans. They're so buttery and delicious. Hoping you feel better and stronger soon. It's so tough dealing with old injuries.
love how relaxing this vlog is, thank you for acknowledging that people may not have enough time to cook ❤️ can you make a video featuring your top quick dishes people can make for work? 🙏
Oh! I’m sorry to hear about your aggravated old injury… boy am I living with that myself! I highly, highly recommend a cookbook called “Salad Samurai” and the section with all the salad dressing recipes. With your garden, you can grow most of the ingredients yourself and every time I’ve served them to guests, they always ask for the recipe and I always tell the to get the cook book because it’s full of so very many good recipes!
Hi Deli! If you're ever feeling like your tummy couldn't handle the chickpeas you could always substitute cubed new potatoes or gold potatoes. It's really yummy. Just make sure to add a little extra liquid. I use whatever I have hanging out in my fridge: vegetable broth, chicken bone broth, or tomato sauce.
I usually heat it and it does the same thing! I think different brands are easier to use and done separate, but they usually have canola oil added tho :/ which isn’t what I want.
The little bloopers she made when filming 🥺. Deli and Clare inspired my channel and I usually beat myself up for messing up but this reminded me that im human. Love you deli 🩵💜🩷
I know what overloading body feels like and boy does it hurt. I’m so sorry you have been going through that and hope you feel better soon! Love watching your content. All of it. ❤
It's always lovely to hang out with you Deli. You can use cannellini beans instead of fava beans. I make this every Saturday as a huge tray bake for the family but sub the beans for cannellini instead and it tastes just as nice. May have to give that cake a try, will have to make it gluten free though. It just looks so yummy! Hope your injury is better soon, keep doing that physio (we call it that in the UK too) and you'll be good in no time at all. ❤
I'm no baker but i've baked my whole childhood to adult life so i know a thing or two. Anyways, i love baking with sunflower or rapeseed oil bc they don't have as much of a strong flavour (i don't particularly like olive oil). Also, baking with oil instead of butter makes the cake soft and moist even if you put it in the fridge. So when fat kinda solifies in the fridge oil doesn't, so the cake or whatever you bake won't harden in the fridge. Also another tip, instead of a cake molt (cake tin idk what it's called) you can use any oven safe bowl for baking a cake. Just line it with baking paper and that's it 🥳
I saw a food-youtuber cook with chickpeas and she removed the see-through "shells" (can't think of a better word, english is not my first language :)) because she said the shells they're in is what makes people have tummy-issues. Well she explained it better. The way she did it was putting the chickpeas on a towel, then folding the towel over them and running her hands back and forth over the towel for a bit like rubbing them. Then the shells would be easy to pick off. Perhaps this is something you could try if you didn't already know this :) The dish you made looked really tasty!
Hey Deli! Fava beans can be found in Arabic/ Middle Eastern grocery store! You can find them in cans too. They are really good and amazing with Pita bread. Some people add eggs with the fava beans. You can also add chili flakes, tomato, olive oil and lemon juice. I hope you feel better soon!
These vlogs make me feel like I’m actually hanging out with Deli 🥰 They‘re so lovely and relaxing and I looove watching her cook! It’s also nice to see how many attempts it takes to get a good recording - really puts into perspective that even the most seasoned RUclipsrs aren‘t perfect 100% of the time ❤
I currently have Covid and a case of the depressions. I was just watching through a ton of your videos on this channel yesterday. It motivated me to finally plant some of my garden… but I didn’t get very far because it was hard to breathe. I love watching these videos. They are motivating. I feel like we would be friends in real life.
@@Micyge thank you so much! Other than some body aches, a cough, and being short of breathe, I am way better than I was a few days ago. (It’s the first day I have showered in awhile, or did some dishes) lol
Sending healing thoughts your way ❤️ the nice thing about gardening is you can do very little and still make exciting progress. I’ll keep the vids coming!
Thank you for sharing! A pro-cooking tip - when using the whole spices like cloves, pepper, cardamom, cinnamon etc. the rule is to put them in whole/crushed form at the beginning of cooking (i.e before you put the onions) however, if using them in powder form then add the powder later once the onions and tomatoes (or meat) are cooked. Reason: is that the powder can burn very fast and make the dish bitter if added at the early stage. Adding the spices whole/crushed in the beginning helps draw out the flavours.
Ful is one of my favorite dishes growing up! I’m pretty sure broad beans are the same as the beans you need for the recipe, you can usually find them canned or dried in a Mediterranean or Arab market
I've used the Avgolemono (lemon rice soup) recipe from that Mediterranean cooking blog! Highly recommend, a very unique taste and since it's coming into your fall season, seems good timing 😊 Also freezes well if you're feeling into that meal prep life
Maddie you're such a beautiful human. Your kindness and just the way you want to live in a giving, sustainable and loving way is so wholesome and lovely. ❤
Sorry to hear about your ACL injury! I found Yoga with Kassandra's knee stretching/strengthening videos helpful when I was recovering from my ACL surgery. Hope you're able to make a speedy recovery!
I'd love to see you (& James if he would feel comfortable with it) doing a sims painting like Kelsey Dangerous did, you could pick your favorite sims painting and try it!
Hey deli, I work at Woolworths and I can confirm they sell Fava Beans! They are in the gluten free isle usually isle 1 possibly 2, they definitely sell them though I put them in my daughter lunch box for school, Good luck we hope you find them ❤
You look gorgeous in that off-the-shoulder top 😍 so chic! Also really enjoyed the video where you renovated your build and I can’t wait for the next ep of your growing together series!
If you are often away from your garden, you could look into an automatic watering system. I used one on my garden when I had one and it was nice not having to worry about my tomatoes getting stressed by lack of water. All you need is a hose with little holes or a soaker hose and an attachement you put on the focet to regulate when the water is on.
Man time flies by, It seems like just a couple of weeks ago you guys just got to Sydney and now back home again. LOL. Look at Bowser all grown up, I remember when he used to have anxiety and you had to build him up to being comfortable. He's come a long way!! Good Boy Bowser. I'll have to check that cook book out. I began eating that way due to my Arthritis, so much yummy foods and the bonus I lost weight without trying too! Too funny to have seen the reno video already and now seeing the process of recording. Nice. As always thanks for the video, safe travels back home and can't wait to see what you get to plant!! Cheers
I’m sorry to hear about your injury Deli! I’ve also been out of practice with exercising because I got really sick last month (I don’t think it was Covid but it felt like when I had it last year). I appreciate what you said about learning to take it easier and forgiving yourself for not always being able to workout as hard as one used to be able to and that’s okay. Also I love Mediterranean food too! That cookbook looks amazing! Hope you and James and Bowser are doing well. ❤
So glad you listened to your body when it was in pain. I look forward to seeing what winter veggies you will try. I am in the process of prepping my winter veggie patch now. Finally found rainbow carrots for my girls :)
Sorry to hear of your injury. I'm recovering from a little shoulder injury myself. I was super bummed out cause when my injury happened. I had completed 4 out of 6 weeks of a weights challenge. I was strong, pushing heavier weights, feeling great, and then after the injury, I felt depressed and angry. I've recently started a light, body weight only workout, and my shoulder feels great! I'm giving it another couple weeks before I attempt weights just to be certain, but I know the struggle you're dealing with - the want and drive to keep going whilst knowing you have to rest and take several steps back (quite literally, I've done a lot of lunges...). Just know that your body appreciates and loves you for resting and allowing it to heal. I wish someone would have told me that, so I'm saying it now for anyone else who needs to hear it. - - Much love .xo
Honestly I loved watching you filming a video and stopping and restarting and losing your train of thought and restarting again. Not to be mean of course, but I've been trying to start a podcast and I do the exact same thing when I'm trying to record an epsiode 😂 it's nice to know it's not just me
I loved seeing the behind the scenes of you doing your intro. Also excited to see your garden again and what you’ll be growing! This vlog was so calm and relaxing. Can you tell I love your vlogs? 😂❤
I can't wait for your gardening vlogs again. I don't garden, but I really like watching you with your garden. I also love the vlogs where you go through your day to day life. It makes you so relatable!
Hi Deli! 1. I love your vlogs! They are so relaxing and soothing; especially your cooking parts. 2. I am a new sim youtuber + I love that you put your bts editing for your video. It's nice to see the realism of it (esp from a big youtuber!) and know that I am not the only one who fumbles and stumbles on my words! Love you deli, and thank you for sharing a part of your life with us! 🥰
Thank you for showing your BTS of making a video...I'm trying to get started making videos for funsies and the amount of takes, pauses, and mistakes I make with my mouth has been stressing me out. It's nice to see your raw looks just like mine.
You are correct fava beans are broad beans. I love Mediterranean food - I used to cook it all the time but I haven’t the last few years because I’ve struggled to make many of the recipes low-Fodmap compliant and egg free and dairy free in a way that works for my husbands particular issues. I’ve found a lot of great low Fodmap recipes but basically I changed all my old recipes out.
OMZ SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!! I LITERALLY commented on your IG story the other day when you posted that you made this, and I said I hope you make a video about it because it looked so yummy!! I'M SO STOKED RIGHT NOW!!!! YAY!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Also, I love these (cooking) vlogs, so glad we got a brand new one!! Also I now HAVE to try and make this as well!! I've tried a few of your recipes and loved them all, thank you so much for the inspiration and ideas!!! ❤❤❤
Oh, I'm really glad your garden back in Melbourne is being looked after by your dad! That's something I had wondered about, and hoped it hadn't shriveled up in your absence. Last summer I took an 8-day trip to see my family in another state, and a bunch of my baby plant cuttings just fried in the heat waves, even indoors :( and your garden had soo much more love poured into it than my motley little windowsill collection, so I'm super glad to hear that yours is doing ok!!
Broad beans and fava beans are the same, I'm pretty sure. I hope your knee continues to heal! You've inspired me to finally start gardening. It's spring where I am so I've got a ton of seedlings going. We'll see what sticks. I love the netting you have on your raised garden beds. I need to figure out how to do something similar.
Ahhh Deli u look so cute on the bloopers 😂. It’s like when we r doing our assignments to do a video, so relatable. The difference is u r doing itfor ur channel 😅
You’re such a beautiful person inside and out hope James remembers to tell you that everyday. I love you guys you two are my relaxation and you twos love just makes me happy. Wish you guys the best and have a great time.
I'm just excited to see your garden, I'm in Canada and I'm still maybe 2 months off from planting, and putting in my garden, need to wait until there's no more risk of frost, so whatever you decide to plant and grow and do will be nice! that breakfast looked amazing!! Def want to give it a try.
I think you’d really enjoy the Ottolenghi cookbook called Simple 😊 love seeing you talk about and cook delicious food, it’s inspiring me to cook more! Hope the knee recovery goes well x
This was a very cosy and nice vlog to watch! loved the cooking portion I like my eggs more on the runnier side but the dish it self looked very yummy!! :) as I am new to making sims 4 videos here on youtube (only started seriously a few months ago) it was nice to see that not everyone always get it on the first take
AH! It was so refreshing to watch you redo your intro a few times. I feel like I do so many takes and I always end up wondering if I'm just bad at filming so it made me feel better to watch someone so successful with their channel have the same problem. Haha!
It's so nice seeing you vlog again!! That breakfast you made looks absolutely incredible! I have to be really mindful of how much tomato I eat in one meal because of my stomach (& can't really eat spicy food so might have to omit the Cheyenne/chili) but I definitely want to try this at some point! It's also really nice seeing that "yes, even experienced RUclipsrs have to do multiple takes on videos/voice overs, etc!" & I'm really sorry to hear about your ACL! Hopefully it heals up quickly so you can get back to the workouts you want to do! ♥
I can't wait for more videos when you're back in melbourne! Im working on my gardening still thanks to you! :D Im also kind of happy to see that i'm not the only one who struggles with scripts and what to say on their videos (i literally have to write out my script and try to follow it and most of the time i end up going off on a tangeant anyway rofl). It's nice to know that someone who's been on youtube for YEARS can struggle too.
I’d love to see more vlogs from you! Also, the outtakes from filming were cool to see since I’ve tried making videos myself and feel like I’m constantly flubbing my words, especially at the beginning. Hope you’re well Deli!
Hey deli! Just curious, and so sorry if you’ve mentioned before, but what’s the reason for the seasonal move? I love the idea of change, but still being in control 😂 sounds like ideal living sitch for me tbh
Deli, just an fyi, you should be able to find fava beans for the foul mudammas recipe in any Lebanese or Levantine shop near you! There are canned ones that we use most of the time but you can probably also find regular uncooked ones!
I know it's not just me that struggles recording myself but it's still nice and fun to watch others recording and doing their youtube thing lol. Hope your knees get better soon!
I thought you guys gave up the apartment when you got the house? I didn't realize you guys flip back and forth between them. How does Bowser like it? Is there a place he likes better than the other?
Yeah we go between two atm. He likes the adventure but he seemed to not want to leave Sydney last time so I’m curious to see if he does that again. I don’t think he will. He was very excited to come back to Sydney! He loves the drive and farm for the most part.
Ooh, my husband owes me a cake, maybe I'll try to find that recipe and send it to him. Can't wait to see you back in the garden! It's spring here and I'm getting antsy to plant some herbs 🌿
A cooking tip: don't heat the nice olive oil cus all the nice flavours disapere when you heat it. So when you fry in oil use the cheap stuff. So you don't spend a lot on fancy olive oil and just kill the good stuff in it. I have learnt it from famous chefs in Sweden that know what they talk about.
You talking about your injury and I’m just like hmmmm me working EMS ignoring my back pain daily. Real awkward when you pick up a pt who’s rating a pain at a 6 and you’ve been munching ibuprofen all day and are comfortably chilling at an 8😳😳
Thanks Deli you're so inspiring! Love the videos! Maybe just as a suggestion it would be so nice to see a grocery haul video since you buy organic and healthy.
Maybe it's something you mentioned before, but can I ask why you are in Sidney right now? Do you have two houses? I was wondering for a while now why you were living in another city for a while. If you don't want to share it's okay but I was curious :p.
❤️❤️❤️
I'm from germany too 🥰
I love that you showed us the behind-the-scenes footage of your video intro. The recipes look fantastic! You could substitute lima beans for the fava beans, however, I'm not a huge fan of the texture of either so I like to substitute cannellini beans. They're so buttery and delicious. Hoping you feel better and stronger soon. It's so tough dealing with old injuries.
I love cannelli too!
Agree completely, I use cannellini bens.

I wish we could have daily Deli 🥺🥺
Hi Deli! If you're ever feeling like your tummy couldn't handle the chickpeas you could always substitute cubed new potatoes or gold potatoes. It's really yummy. Just make sure to add a little extra liquid. I use whatever I have hanging out in my fridge: vegetable broth, chicken bone broth, or tomato sauce.
thank you for showing what recording looks like for you, it's nice to know that even as a creator your size there's a lot of that hubub warming up ✨️
Deli if you warm the almond milk a little before putting it in the hot coffee it won't/shouldn't separate.
it's also less likely to happen in cold brew coffee! It happens due to acid and heat of brewed coffee!
I work at Starbucks for 5 years, and you have to shake the almond milk in the carton before pouring.
Cold and hot coffee
I usually heat it and it does the same thing! I think different brands are easier to use and done separate, but they usually have canola oil added tho :/ which isn’t what I want.
Try cooling your coffee a bit before pouring in the warm almond 😊 sometimes that helps reduce the curdling for me, personally

I'm no baker but i've baked my whole childhood to adult life so i know a thing or two. I love your cooking videos! They inspire me to try new & healthy foods ^_^
Yaay, another Deli vlog!!
I love the garden vlogs! I can't wait to see the new planting vids!
Me too!!
Haha!
Another chef with recipes that you would love is yotam ottolenghi (you may already know him. ) Can't wait for the gardening blog. ❤️
Hope your knee continues to improve slow and steady wins the race!! Love the vlog as always and those cupcakes looked delicious
You’re always so down to earth compared to others that vlogs; you show real life and you try to be inclusive.
You inspired me to try make a shakshuka myself and it was delicious, so thank you
Canned whole tomato tip: take some scissors and aimlessly cut them in the can. Then use them!
This is so smart.. I've always been taught to squash them in my hand as they come out of the can 🤣
love your vlogs, they are calming!
Thanks for the update! Have fun moving back and get better soon!
Hope you get better soon , I really enjoy your style of vlogs :D
I’d love to see more vlogs from you! Also, the outtakes from filming were cool to see since I’ve tried making videos myself and feel like I’m constantly flubbing my words, especially at the beginning. Hope you’re well Deli!
You should definitely try the Ful medames (فول مدمس)dish! It’s one of my favorite egyptian dishes
Hey deli! Just curious, and so sorry if you’ve mentioned before, but what’s the reason for the seasonal move? I love the idea of change, but still being in control 😂 sounds like ideal living sitch for me tbh
You are correct Deli, Fava or Faba Beans in Australia are Broad Beans or Field beans :)
I love your vlogs sm
Deli, just an fyi, you should be able to find fava beans for the foul mudammas recipe in any Lebanese or Levantine shop near you! There are canned ones that we use most of the time but you can probably also find regular uncooked ones!
my Woolworths have them online too!
Oof, hopefully the PT exercises and taking it easy help with your injury ❤ The brunch recipe you made looked soo tasty!
I know it's not just me that struggles recording myself but it's still nice and fun to watch others recording and doing their youtube thing lol. Hope your knees get better soon!
Loved this video! The black shirt you had on in your Reno video looked lovely on you ❤
Thanks!
The behind the scenes for the video is so nice 😭❤️ it makes me feel better about starting my channel
Loved the vlog! Really missed these! Thank you ❤
Hi Deli! Be careful pouring your spices out directly over the pan, you can end up trapping moisture in your spice jar which can lead to spoilage!
Deli, you make my day. That cake looked delicious and I so want to make that breakfast now. 🤤
Loving your vlogs and seeing you cook!
Ooh, my husband owes me a cake, maybe I'll try to find that recipe and send it to him. Can't wait to see you back in the garden! It's spring here and I'm getting antsy to plant some herbs 🌿
I just added the recipe to the description!
@@Delidiary Thank you!
Sending love from Japan, I'm excited to get home to my garden soon too
A cooking tip: don't heat the nice olive oil cus all the nice flavours disapere when you heat it. So when you fry in oil use the cheap stuff. So you don't spend a lot on fancy olive oil and just kill the good stuff in it. I have learnt it from famous chefs in Sweden that know what they talk about.
I also love meditation food!!! ❤
You talking about your injury and I’m just like hmmmm me working EMS ignoring my back pain daily. Real awkward when you pick up a pt who’s rating a pain at a 6 and you’ve been munching ibuprofen all day and are comfortably chilling at an 8😳😳
cant wait for the gardening vlog!!!😍🤭
Me too!
The tiny bit of grey on Bowser's muzzle 😭😻 hope you heal up well!! Love these vlogs🥰
Thanks Deli you're so inspiring! Love the videos! Maybe just as a suggestion it would be so nice to see a grocery haul video since you buy organic and healthy.
Its so nice seeing what and how you cook.. it looks so DELIcious😊
I LOVE making homemade pita, I've gotten my recipe down to not needing to reference it and doing it by feel! [also k-eye-anne, is how I pronounce it!]
That brunch and those cupcakes looks so yummy. Not sure if it was just me, but I feel the audio pops when there is a cut.
Yeah I’m not sure how to fix this :/ I noticed during editing. I think it’s the mic I’m usuinf
We love bowser so much 😢❤❤❤❤😊 have a great day guys.
Yum, that dish looked so good.
Maybe it's something you mentioned before, but can I ask why you are in Sidney right now? Do you have two houses? I was wondering for a while now why you were living in another city for a while. If you don't want to share it's okay but I was curious :p.
Just to see birth families regularly :) we have 2 places x
