The farm looks so cozy! Just wanted to say that around 15:37 there is a few seconds without audio. It's nothing important but just to let you know! EDIT; Just finished watching the rest of the video and it happens again at 26:45 😢
Amazing the way your garden just took off on you! Now comes the fun part of pruning, deadheading, and spacing. I love gardening, and I make my own pesto which is soo good. Those peppers you are unsure of are Jalapenos, and any ground veggies that don't take on their colours, it's usually because they are hidden from the sun. *Fun fact, White asparagus is white because as it grows, the farmers cover it back up with dirt so it never sees the sun. The process is called etiolation. Happy you arrived home safely.
PUMPKINS ARE SO FUN TO GROW! We smashed Halloween pumpkins in dirt in our backyard and now next year lader we got a very big pumpkin vie and they come from the flowers
I love how all the farm animals are looking at Bowser like he's an exotic new creature. "Oh look at that, mummy! I wonder what it is." 😂That farm is lovely.
The kettle commentary made me laugh! I'm in the states and we visit British Columbia, Canada quite often since it's a nice short drive north for us. The last time we were up there (prepandemic) we stayed in a place that had an electric kettle and our minds were *blown*. I came home after the weekend and immediately ordered one. We use ours every single day now and I tell anyone who will listen that they need one. We rarely drink tea (not never--I love a good matcha) but we use ours for our French press coffee, our oatmeal, my kid's cup noodles, the list goes on and on! I'm about to start gifting them to people I swear! Haha!
Ps. microwaving water is *dangerous* and you definitely should not do that. Apparently there's something about how the water is heated where it can be boiling and not making bubbles but the second you disturb it by bumping or stirring it it will *explode* and has led to some really awful injuries. There's another Aussie youtuber, Anne Reardon aka @howtocookthat and she just released a video on this last week. It was eye-opening.
LOVE some red cabbage and eggplant! Eggplant is sooo flavorful! Make sure you salt eggplant after slicing and let it sit for about 20 minutes to get the bitter liquid out, pat it dry and then you can season and cook. It's become a favorite very quickly, similar texture to zucchini when cooked but you can bread and fry it in an air fryer or in oil and serve with pasta sauce and it's delicious!
getting to know your garden looks like me taking a walk on our backyard. a lot of the veggies grow randomly around our soil! my mom keeps on having a free veggie picking everytime its harvest season 😂 love from philippines ❤️ the gnomes part is such a sim thing 😭
Your delight over the garden was so endearing! Just wait, every year you will get more experienced and your garden infrastructure will get more established and the harvests will absolutely blow your mind! I’m so glad you’re sharing your gardening journey 😊
PS the yellow cucumber is just overly ripe. It probably won’t taste great because they get bitter once they hit that stage while they’re forming up their seeds.
Hi Deli! Glad you had a nice trip ! Aubergines are very impressive! Also yellow cucumber is normal, it is just over matured. Usually my grandma leaves one or two to get super yellow so you can use the seeds from them for your next planting
Omg i am so happy with the way you make tea! I get so triggered when people put the cup in the microwave or have the milk in the same time as the tea bag. I’m british so automatically have my tea making license 😂. Bowser is so cute! Does he have breathing issues as it sounded quite loud in the car? Just found your vlog channel from the main one :) Also i think Wagon Wheels are british - but i’m only getting that information from Wild Child 😂
This might be a bit random but I thought of you and your garden after seeing a video about mycorrhizae fungi. The video talked about how networks of the fungi can help plants communicate with each other and share resources with the ones struggling to get as many, which untimately helps them all thrive together. I found it facinating! In the video they mentioned how when tested in a garden with tomatoes the plants could even communicate when pretator bugs were attacking to help the other plants put up defenses ahead of time protecting them from as much damage by the bugs! Idk anything about growing it in a garden, but thought maybe it could be something that might help since you aren't able to be with your garden full time. 😄
@Deli, my mom makes a dessert out of eggplants, she'll cut them about 1/2 in thick, bread them with eggs and either breadcrumbs or flour, then she heats up the oil, and cooks them on low to medium heat until the outside is browned, finally she'll add either sugar, powdered sugar, or honey. She'll leave the skin on when frying or baking so the eggplant doesn't fall apart but you can peel it off when done. When baking same steps but you brush your preferred oil on the baking sheet and lightly on each slice of eggplant. Thx for sharing. Love your vlogs and videos. 👍☺👍🤗💛
Those goats were looking at Bowser like he was the strangest goat they have ever seen lmaoo, I would love to see your gardening it always interests me to see it from start to finish. Glad you guys made it home safely.
Honestly I love when you explain small things like the kettles and the tea. I live in America and it feels like we never get taught anything useful... You are teaching me so many life skills
The tea convo is so funny to me. As an American midwesterner, I grew up with iced tea drinkers! Nooobody I knew drank hot tea, only coffee. I personally don’t drink either. My husband and son both like hot tea, but mainly when they are ill and we use our Keurig coffee maker for the hot water. Or you can boil water on the stovetop. My SIL is an avid hot tea drinker and she has her own kettle, but I am not sure if it is electric or the kind you put on the stovetop. Also…I was getting out of the shower and drying off when James peaked his head around and said “oh sorry. Sorry ma’am” 😂 😂😂 It was a surreal moment.
How nice to be settled back in. Good on your fam for keeping the garden going. Too bad about the cabbage, but the rest did remarkably well. I have heard that peppermint, sage, rosemary or thyme can repel some moths or butterflies that eat the cabbage. It's so good that you can grow year round there. I love to watch vids of baby goats, they're hilarious. The farm stay is a great way to break up the trip. It's so pretty there. Bowsie is so funny about having to be put in the car. My little Yorkie loved the car, but Minnie my chi/terrier isn't a huge fan. She will jump in, and likes the result of the park, but she worries and talks about it quite a bit, trying to get her used to it. She would be in my lap the whole time if I didn't use a doggy belt. Have fun getting your garden sorted. Would love anything it works to film.
Love your genuine enthusiasm seeing your garden for the first time in a while! It's such an exciting and rewarding feeling when your hard work produces food😄 I just wanted to say aswell Im from NZ, and lived in Queensland for 5 years and no Aussie I knew of seemed to know what a feijoa was, so I was so surprised and excited to see a feijoa tree in your garden😄
The farm looks so peaceful!! I’m so glad you guys had a safe drive back to Melbourne! In Kentucky, in the US, we call thumpsters four-wheelers. I just think it’s so interesting how we have different names for things in different countries and even in different states! By the way Bowser is sooooo cute!!
The cucumbers turn yellow when they touch the ground and if any cucumbers turn yellow it will tell the plant it’s growing cycle is over and you may not get much more fruit. They should be trellised to prevent them from touching the ground. Great video I love that farm you stop at.
Really love your vlogs! It's so calm and soothing, you have so much good thoughts, a sweet dog, funny man, and I just love following you. It's very different to your Sims videos but they're both great in their different ways! And also, I like to watch beacause it's such difference between Australia and Sweden in so many ways 🌞
I love your excitement when you were checking out your garden!! All those things to discover, it's always so much fun. Your dad did a good job watering everything!! Just a small tip: if you are growing in pots, don't forget to feed your plants regularly 💚
Wow the raspberries and chilies look amazing!!! Always love seeing your gardens progress ☺ Also yes I always notice when someone's vlogging and they look at themselves and not the camera lens 🤣
I'd love to see more gardening videos, we have a big garden and id love veggies patches but due to kids and no time to maintain it isn't possible so I live my veggie dreams through you 😂 I love seeing these videos pop up on my notifications ❤
I love your gardening videos! I love to garden. This was such a fun vlog. I am glad you guys made it back safely, and so glad that you buckle Bowser in the car. We ALWAYS buckle our dog in. So important!
In the US a lot of people still use stovetop kettles and most hotels/motels won't have a stove. Lots of places have coffee makers that you can use to heat water for tea though. It was only a handful of years ago that I noticed electric kettles popping up, and while I would never go back to stovetop kettles, I think the movement is still catching on, or maybe people just haven't thought of putting them in rental venues.
I am so jealous of your gardening skills! You are such a pro haha! My grandad is so good at it as well. I need to start taking proper notes because I would love to grow my own fruits and veggies. 💗
The farm looks to peaceful! It’s spring in Denmark & still cold, so I’m living vicariously through your warm weather & may I say that I can completely relate to the kettle conundrum, being half British/Danish I always have to ask for a kettle when we go abroad.🥰
As someone who's grown pumpkins for quite a while, those are definitely pumpkins! The pumpkin bulbs start out under the flowers and they'll turn orange the closer you get to fall.
Being from the UK and watching your vlog especially coming into the farm seeing all those parrots just chilling in the field is so surreal to me we just get Pidgeons, Magpie and the odd Blackbird 😂
OH My GOODNESS that cabbage was humongous!!!! and the eggplants like super cool Deli!!! I bought my first Chard seedling to grow wish me luck LOL!! For the herbs that bolt can you move the pots under the canopy or out of direct sunlight so that when you come back you have some to harvest? Loving the new items you planted and seeing them grow. Peppers are so easy and produce so many great to have. The farm was amazing and so beautiful to see. That's so nice you have that stop off to relax and recharge for the drive. As always thanks for sharing your trip and life with us 💕
Absolutely love the update on your garden 😀 it's always so exciting when everything grows! Also side note! I love that I am watching this in my hotel room on the gold coast after leaving NZ for the first time!
I love the garden content because you get so excited! Your excitement is contagious! What was the tree with the banana/strawberry fruit?! I want! Lol. Never heard of it before but that sounds delicious!!
I boil water in the coffee machine for tea sometimes, but sometimes the machines are unusable, and its usually not necessary. If the place has a kitchen I'll just microwave the water since that's how I'd make hot tea at home. I guess people boil tea differently everywhere. My friends from another country boil tea in a stove pot. My aunt uses a kettle.
A good rule of thumb for all houseplants is as long as they are still growing, or not deteriating or too top heavy and unstable, keep them in the same pot. They will let you know when they are ready to uppot. I didn't up-pot mine for over a year. Also, with that style of plant, tetrasperma rhapidaphora or mini monstera, if you cut it at a node, you can propegate that piece and then the mother plant will start pushing off new growth all along the vines. It will eventually start pushing off new vines anyway, but cutting it will kickstart the process. Yours looks pretty mature, so you might even have new growth along the vine. Check it for little lite green bumps. That's what the new vines will look like. Mine started with two vines, and after two years, it's a giant web of dozens of vines. It's one of my favorite plants 🪴
I kill all plants I touch which kind of makes me the black sheep of the family 😂 but I enjoy watching your garden grow and love how excited you get about it ❤
Lovely video, Deli! Love the garden updates 😊 just wanted to say though, in case you're not aware, peace lilies (and all other lilies) are very toxic to cats and dogs, so please be careful and keep it in a place where Bowser can't reach it at all. Even the pollen can be deadly, so say the pollen falls down and Bowser walks over it and then licks hiw paw clean; even such a little bit could pose a threat. Not wanting to scare you, but a lot of people don't know this, and it would be such a nightmare if something bad were to happen because of it!
Your wagon wheels look a lot like our moon pies. Moon pies are missing the jam/jelly but are very yummy. You usually find moon pies in the southern us.
Another great vlog, as usual! I would love to have a vlog with you going to the garden store and another planting, or maybe both in one video if the shopping isn't enough for one. ❤
I am so jealous of all the space you have to garden! I live in an apartment and the balcony space is not enough now that I have 8 dahlias growing as well 😂 Mainly focusing on salad raspberries, blueberries and strawberries (and ofc the dahlias) this spring and summer season I would love to see more of your garden 🪴
So, so happy to see vlogs again! I'm so glad to hear someone else in the world loves touching trees, lol. As a Canadian living in the US, totally relate to the tea kettle issue! I moved to Texas recently and I find it so interesting that the landscape and architecture looks very reminiscent of your part of Australia. They reeeally love a metal roof here.
That farm looked lovely and Bowser seemed to like it there =) So impressed with the eggplants! I usually make them sliced in the oven with hazelnuts and chopped tomatoes and shredded cheese. Delicious and so easy to make :)
I love these vlogs. Just feels like old friends catching up. You have inspired me to grow a garden too. I am just starting mine now that it is spring time in Canada!
Your videos have really inspired me to start the process of my own garden. Super excited while also seeing how much your patience has been paying off. Taught me that it's going to be a lot of trial and error and learning to not get discouraged.
Have you made the farm you stay at in sims yet? If not that be fun. I really enjoy watching you and James get excited over your plants. So proud of you!! Also yes would love to watch a clean up video. 💚
I had a kettle growing up and I still have one. I use it every day and wouldn’t survive without it. (American) Your houseplant looks great! I have a rhaphidafora tetrasperma (I probably spelt that wrong) too and they’re such fast growers. It’ll be vining on your wall in no time. I wouldn’t put it in a bigger pot unless the roots are growing out the bottom or you can visibly see them from the top. This prevents root rot from a bad root to soil ratio.
Love the Video. I like to see the cleanup and the planting. Keep trying with the cabbage. It is so fun when you successfully grow a large one!!! maybe try outside of the box on the ground? I live in Central NY, so not sure if that is feasible for your area. Sometimes you can make a repellent spray by mixing one tablespoon of dish soap with one cup of vegetable oil and one cup of water and spray down the entire plant, especially the underside of the leaves, where worms and other pests like to hide out. Thank you for the video!
Hi Deli!! So happy you made it home safe and your garden is flourishing!! I’m inspired to start planting my own mini-garden now! I live in New York City, but ver fortunate to have a back yard with plenty of space! Just wondering what you think the easiest/best plants to start with are?? I would ideally like to plant things we might eat (cost of living is very expensive here 😅). Love your blogs 💗💗
Oh, that farm is just lovely. I remember your last stay... at least the last time you shared your stay in vlog. The concept of it is so appealing to me. I don't mind a nice hotel but I would stay in a place like that any day. Also, I love how much so many of your plants has grown. It's almost time to start the sowing here in Norway (usually April 15th to May 1st). This year we're gonna have lots of herbs, tomatoes, and strawberries. I've also considered beets. Have you tried beets? Do they grow in Australia?
OMZ another vlog so soon?? YAY! I LOVE these, especially the cooking and gardening ones!!! and I'm actually on time for once lmao. I'm so envious of your garden! I was just as excited as you hahah to see what it looked like! when it comes to pests, what you should really do is plant some host plants I think they call them. just google it! it's when you plant something that you never plan to actually use, but they are such good pest attractor that the rest of your garden can thrive and be pest free! I know some varieties of pumpkin/squash are really good host plants! hope that helps! ❤💚
Millie and her mum were soooo sweet ☺️❤️ Also, I’d like to see you clean and rearrange your garden, as someone who cant have a garden this is therapeutic hahaha
gorgeous!! What a lovely spot to stop on your drive, and I can't wait to see what you'll do with your garden. We're having a stretch of really nice weather where I am in Canada and spotted some buds on my lilac bush. I may just follow your lead and clean up the rest of the garden now that everything has dried off after the snow melt. dirty hands and happy hearts! cheers to you Deli!
We have something *similar* 18:15 but doesnt have the jam. It's called a Moon Pie. They come in chocolate and banana and are much smaller. They are mass produced and honestly not my cup of tea. I would try an Aussie Wagon Wheel, though. The jam prolly makes them taste so much better than what we have here.
Yellow cucumber usually means it's had too much sun and will be very bitter. Sometimes it's better to harvest cucumbers when they are a bit smaller rather then wait because they will taste better. Also inconsistent watering can make them bitter too. Cucumber were one on the only things I managed to grow over summer in Perth with mixed results, we did get a few good ones though
I’d love a Timelapse of you cleaning up the garden 🥰
The farm looks so cozy! Just wanted to say that around 15:37 there is a few seconds without audio. It's nothing important but just to let you know!
EDIT; Just finished watching the rest of the video and it happens again at 26:45 😢
Oh how strange. I’m sorry about that!
Tbh I didn’t do a check back watch to make sure it was all ok :/ usually I do after uploading

Check it for little lite green bumps. That's what the new vines will look like. Mine started with two vines, and after two years, it's a giant web of dozens of vines. It's one of my favorite plants 🪴
I kill all plants I touch which kind of makes me the black sheep of the family 😂 but I enjoy watching your garden grow and love how excited you get about it ❤
Your vlogs are so nice 🥺 They always makes you so calm
I love seeing your gardening videos, all of them 🥰
Another great vlog, as usual! I would love to have a vlog with you going to the garden store and another planting, or maybe both in one video if the shopping isn't enough for one. ❤
I am so jealous of all the space you have to garden! I live in an apartment and the balcony space is not enough now that I have 8 dahlias growing as well 😂
Mainly focusing on salad raspberries, blueberries and strawberries (and ofc the dahlias) this spring and summer season
I would love to see more of your garden 🪴
Australia looks so beautiful and the farm made me feel nostalgic for my youth
Haha omg Deli you're so cute when you start to sing "Hit the road James" and then realize that you can't tell him "don't you come back no more" 😂
🤣
So, so happy to see vlogs again! I'm so glad to hear someone else in the world loves touching trees, lol. As a Canadian living in the US, totally relate to the tea kettle issue! I moved to Texas recently and I find it so interesting that the landscape and architecture looks very reminiscent of your part of Australia. They reeeally love a metal roof here.
Omg I love the garden update and the trip back😍 I would like to see the clean up and replanting 🥰
Yay! Best of luck :)
Love your garden videos!
I love your vlogs deli!! 🥰 and your garden is beautiful!! 🌻🌼🌸🌺🌿
Thank you so much!!
I love these video’s. Moving to Australia in 18 days (Melbourne) and I’m so nervous but your vlogs give me some reassurance
Yay! Hope you have a good move :) Melbourne is a great city!
Your videos have really inspired me to start the process of my own garden. Super excited while also seeing how much your patience has been paying off. Taught me that it's going to be a lot of trial and error and learning to not get discouraged.
Thinking of starting a mini garden this year. I'd love to see any yard work content to inspire me 😁
Have you made the farm you stay at in sims yet? If not that be fun. I really enjoy watching you and James get excited over your plants. So proud of you!!
Also yes would love to watch a clean up video. 💚
Dying at the kettle & tea bit 😂 I've had a kettle in my house all my life, can't live without it! But yeah I know many who don't!
Dear Deli, the cucumber turns yellow when it's overripe. You can cut it and plant the seeds from it😊
I had a kettle growing up and I still have one. I use it every day and wouldn’t survive without it. (American)
Your houseplant looks great!
Glad you three made it back to Melbourne safe! Love the garden as always
Always love me a Deli vlog
I'd love to see a garden shop video!! I'd like to start a garden and this inspires me and I never know what to buy!
Loved this vlog. I would love too see more videos like this 😊 It's great seeing what else you do than just sims builds 👍😁
Garden content is my favorite content. Glad you’re back 🎉🎉
I just love your blogs about what your up to!! It’s great!!! Always amazed by your garden I could never!
These vlogs are interesting....it's fun to see how Aussie is. It's the perfect amount.
Ahh i love the gardening content! Cant wait to see what you plant next season!!
😀😀😀
Oh, that farm is just lovely. I remember your last stay... at least the last time you shared your stay in vlog. The concept of it is so appealing to me. I don't mind a nice hotel but I would stay in a place like that any day. Also, I love how much so many of your plants has grown. It's almost time to start the sowing here in Norway (usually April 15th to May 1st). This year we're gonna have lots of herbs, tomatoes, and strawberries. I've also considered beets. Have you tried beets? Do they grow in Australia?
I haven’t tried them! I think you can grow them here though :) they would taste amazing no doubt
❤️❤️🤗
What a wonderful blessed trip. The garden looks great even if chaotic. I can't wait to see what winter goodies you will plant
Millie and her mum were soooo sweet ☺️❤️
Also, I’d like to see you clean and rearrange your garden, as someone who cant have a garden this is therapeutic hahaha
I need that garden and that farm looked so cosy and I had no clue that you did gardening
Yay Delidiary time! I lovee your vlogs❤
Whatt? James vlogs now did he make another channel for vlogs? I would watch his vlogs as well.
He posted a vlog for his channel members :)
Deli if you remember you should try to do a time lapse when the sun goes down there again when you go back to Jame’s place ,it would be so cool
Yellow cucumber usually means it's had too much sun and will be very bitter. Sometimes it's better to harvest cucumbers when they are a bit smaller rather then wait because they will taste better. Also inconsistent watering can make them bitter too. Cucumber were one on the only things I managed to grow over summer in Perth with mixed results, we did get a few good ones though
this is just getting me psyched to start my garden this spring! it’s almost time to start planting here 😄
omg your garden really makes me wanna plant some veggies on our balcony 🥰🌱
