I remember going for a Pap smear and got “you have irregular cells” as a result. I haven’t been back since, but I do have pcos (and had thyroid cancer). So even though your results might be bad, it doesn’t necessarily mean something extremely bad! Go get it done and remember: Pap smear tests doesn’t hurt as much as the people say (biopsy hurts way worse) and it’ll be okay. Nice to see someone actually spreading awareness and info about this test - I feel people avoid talking about it even though it’s so important
Love that you shared your pap smear experience! Getting tested is so important, and it's often quick and the discomfort is minimal. It can be intimidating, but I hope this inspired others to get it done. Plus, the newest guidelines in the US are that if your results are normal and you're between the ages of 21-65, you only need to have a pap every 3 years!
I’d love to see a day in ur life and a story time of how you and James got together. I remember watching your building challenge videos you’d make together
Thank you so much for talking openly about female health. It's super important and sadly often made to feel taboo or that it shouldn't be discussed. So I am very grateful you're being so chill and open, I try to always talk unashamedly about women's health and seeing other especially those with a young female following is amazing!!!
Being so open about testing is honestly just what I needed to see right now. On Thursday I had my first coil put in and nobody told me what it would be like to have my body examined the way it would be or opened up like that or that it would even be painful to have my coil inserted. I went straight in the deep end and got really scared. I've never had a smear test before because I'm not old enough and the nurse had to reassure me that when I got my smear done it would be nothing like the coil fitting and that it wouldn't hurt and that I shouldn't let this different procedure scare me away from my check ups. I think there definitely needs to be more education about these tests and about the procedures people with uteruses can have and what to expect. I definitely feel more confident about my future tests now seeing you do this.
Really proud of you for sharing your pap smear with us! I’m due my first one this year (though I have had a coil fitted previously) and although I’m not too nervous about it, it’s really good of you to use your platform to normalise these check-ups and help others with their anxiety about it! 💕
@@rachelcookie321 A coil or an InterUterine Device (IUD) is a type of long-term birth control. I won’t go into the details, but the process of getting one fitted begins in the same way as getting a Pap smear 😊
I love Bowser he's just so chill 😆 The curtains/blinds look lovely; I can see why you're so happy. And last, but not least, I think it's great you (and other Simmers) talk about things like Pap Smears (we call them that here in US as well; had mine yesterday haha) and periods. More open talk and education about women's bodies and health is what we need so there isn't such a stigma or shame attached to such normal and routine things. Keep up the good work!

I work in an OBGYN office and I often schedule people who have gone years without being seen. It's so important to get a pap done especially to check for HPV
I've had a set of those Pyrex bowls for over 20 years. They're wonderful and I've never had a spill in the fridge from stacking them on top of each other. Love your vlogs and LOVE seeing you (and James) so happy and settled in 🥰
Hello Deli. I just wanted to say how much you and your videos (vlogs especially) are appreciated and enjoyed by myself and my little sister, Maria! She has autism and ADHD, and can find it hard to get invested in things or express herself about them, besides the Sims 4 and our dog and crossword puzzles. But every time you have a new upload, we sit down and watch it and sometimes watch it again right after! She went into our kitchen and started talking to me about our tupperware situation after she saw you talk about your Pyrex. And she wants to try new foods, like the ones you cook! You radiate energy and light and warmth! You truly make her day, thank you for just being authentically you. I asked Maria if she wanted to add anything, but she was too shy. She still loves you!
Thank you for sharing so many private things in your life! It reminds and shows me that I’m not alone and your confidence really helps me!! I’m so afraid of a Pap test, thank you so much for sharing 💜💜💜

I appreciate you sharing what some might consider TMIs. I have mental health issues and watching you guys is one of my coping mechanisms. When I'm feeling down you guys are always there. I'm constantly watching you guys do challenges with Doc and simsie and even though you guys aren't streaming it brings me joy to know you're there. Love from Ontatio Canada - Jess
1. Yes this made me remember i need to go for my pap smear. 2. This makes me want to move to another country because my doctor is never that gentle or informative. 3. I love the day in the life type videos, it really gives me ideas on things that i didn’t think i could do, but seeing someone else do it gives me the confidence to do it. 4. Thanks for sharing Deli and James!
I have had hooha surgery every year for the last 3 years this will be the fourth year as I'm getting my IUD out - didn't want it but needed it due to having endometrial hyperplasia - so they always run tests in pre op for me but it is so important for women to get their pap smear. I no longer care to landscape the lady garden. Fun story - they tried to get my IUD out at the hospital as a last ditch effort before needing surgery, and my hooha broke the speculum. See women are strong!😁
When I was a teenager I used to work morning shifts. I’d have to get up at 4am. One morning I fell asleep on the shower floor shaving my legs 🤦🏼♀️. And somehow I caused the drain to do something weird and I flooded my mums whole flat/unit. Took us weeks to get it all dry and back to normal. We also had to move a tone of furniture into the small kitchen area so the carpet could dry. To top it off. The unit under us has water coming from the roof 🤦🏼♀️. It happened a further two times after this, thankfully not as bad. And I managed to catch it before it flooded into carpet again.
My doctor suggested to ask for the smaller speculum on you pap smear if you've never had one done or if you are extra sensitive. She used the smaller plastic one and I barely felt a thing 👍🏻 P.s. my first one was so horrible I was afraid to go back for ten years
I find it so interesting to see other countries handle pap smears. In Germany you shoud go every 6 months, if you miss more than 2 appointments you won't get your prescription for your birth control. Also congrats to the new curtains, they look amazing!
I love how you share your 'TMI' stuff - so many folks are so quiet about periods, tests, shaving etc & it's so nice!! It feels like I'm hanging out with a bestie 🥺💗
Deli, the curtains and blinds are BEAUTIFUL! I was smiling from ear to ear watching you show them off...could absolutely feel your joy through the screen! Can I just say, I love how open you are. It's so important for girls and young women (and boys and men too, for that matter) to see that PAP tests and these types of things are normal experiences. No, they are not our favourite things to do, but are very important. Anything to do with our health especially, whether it be mental or physical, should never be made to feel like a 'taboo' subject. No one should ever feel embarrassment or shame because of who we are. We are all human and live human experiences. I applaud you and support you! Love, from Canada. XO
Thank you for sharing all of the things you do. Can only imagine how much it takes from you but it helps normalize women's health care and how much it is needed.
Thank you so much for sharing your pap smear! Destigmatizing sexual health can literally save someone's life. And kudos to that doctor. She was so respectful and calm! Btw I cry laughed when you told your shaving story. Same happened to me once and now I feel less alone 😂 All the best to you, James, Bowser and your beautiful curtains. Lots of love from Germany (the German at the beginning of the vlog was very much appreciated haha)
I was so nervous for my first pap. If I had watched something like this back then I would have been way less scared as it really isn’t a huge deal. Loving all the vlogs! Always excited for the next one.
Thank you SO MUCH for openly discussing your health like that. The stigma surrounding personal health is pathetic and needs to end. Also...I'm impressed that you're so...calm about it. I'm 41 years old and DREADING mine near the end of this year, as well as the mammogram that's gotta happen a month after that.
Thank you so much for encouraging people to get their paps done. The test literally saved my life and I am so grateful to you for spreading awareness. I thought it was funny that we’re both very transparent and then I realized we have the same birthday! Maybe it’s an Aries trait haha!!!
I got my test done last year right after my birthday, it went very fast and the doc made sure I was super comfortable. I'm healthy! Every woman should take a moment every few years to do her test. Thank you for sharing your experience Deli!
Over here in uk they are just smear tests but I think it’s great that you have mentioned it as it does help remind others also may put others at ease going for their first test or if they are anxious
I haven't had any horror stories of getting a pap smear done but it literally made me tear up to hear how nice your doctor was & how much she checked in with you 💓💓💓 she seems like a keeper!
Deli I’ve been putting off a visit to the gynecologist for months. Just put it on my to-do list for the morning, to schedule my appointment. Thanks for your candor and for the reminder! ☺️
The pots look lovely on the deck but I’d suggest moving them off before the plants get too big unless you’re feeling very muscly. Unsure if you’ve had a deck before, but if it’s oiled it needs to be redone annually, and moving huge pots with plants in them is a pain!
As someone who is incredibly afraid of doctors and knowing that in 3 years ( here you get a message at year 30 for paptest) I might have to do this. It's really nice you actually filmed it. At least now it shows how it is for a patient, and that does help me. And outside of that, a lot of female things arent really talked about that often. So you talking about it with so much confidence is really nice.
Yup, those knives are amazing! I bought exactly the same pink one (sharp and cheap - 10/10). I believe it's a Swiss-orginated company that make these :) Greetings from Europe!
I LOVE the curtains, they look so good! Also my dog would have barrelled right through those pots 😂 And as someone with PCOS and endometrial hyperplasia I love being open and honest about reproductive health! Pap tests and regular check ups are so important and we need to end the stigma around it. For fellow people of size: they may ask you to lie on your side instead of your back, and hold your leg up to do the test. At least that's what I do ☺
I got my first pap test in Feb. and I wish I had your doctor. My doctor is my childhood Dr. and like.... He wasn't as informative about when he was using the cold tool and what was going on exactly.. and I loved hearing this. I wish all Doctors were trained this way. Edit- don't let me saying this discourage anyone. Just tell your doctor what you would like them to do in the process just so they know. And don't be afraid to switch doctors if you're not comfortable or happy with your current doctor.
honestly I love that you shared your experience with getting a pap smear done, i’ve been terrified of getting it done because of everyone’s horror stories with it and i’m 21… but seeing how easy your appointment looked it honestly put me at ease :)
In Wales it's called a smear test, and although the age has now changed to older, it used to start at 21, and be recommended every 3 years. I always encourage everyone to get theirs as over the years I have had some irregular results, and so had to go more frequently, but this would never stop me going. I'm so glad that you're highlighting how normal it is to go for one and I hope it encourages more people to go for theirs ❤
I've only seen one, but the speculum they used for me? I thought it looked like a ducks head lmao. Mom was very confused when she asked how it went and I just quacked at her. I also cracked up when the doc brought her headlamp in, because it reminded me of a mining helmet. She thought I was laughing because it was awkward? Nope, mining helmet. The appointments can be fun if you're good at entertaining yourself! Also, those curtains look great! Congrats on your taste!
I love your vlog....please keep going.....including James is really neat and he seems to be doing just fine in Lego land? This American nurse...loves that you show healthy tips even your pap smear...I love highlights on Bowser...lost both my old pups in last 2 years. and I get longing for more. Thank you Deli...!!!
I look forward to the Deli real life vlogs SO MUCH. Honestly, I’ve always been more of a lurker than commenter (I mean it in the least creepy way) but I love love love the times I get to sit down and watch these. It’s like hanging out with a friend. Don’t stop vlogging! 🥰
I love watching these homey videos they are my favourite! I also love that you not only talked about having a pap smear but you showed your face during the process, I love that women are talking about it more!
Love that you shared all of this! I’d encourage everyone how maybe has anxiety to ask their doctor to do just what your doctor did and keep communicating and checking for pain through the test - I think being aware of everything that is about to happen and what they’re doing may help some people be more comfortable! (Pain is NOT normal btw if you do have pain please tell the doctor and do not let them dismiss you! Otherwise find a new doctor)
Cervicitis is no joke! I got it and other symptoms from a menstrual cup. My doc recommended I rinse the cup with vinegar and it cleared up the issues! I did switch to using disposables for a while but they also cause issues because I’m allergic to them 🤷♀️
Maddie, Love your curtains and blinds. Like your new stuff Haul. I think Pyrex is awesome too. I am in America. We call it a Pap smear. And it is recommended for women over the age of 18 once a year. I think I had my first one when I was 16. And once a year ever since. I am so, so proud of you for sharing yours. I hope it encourages others to get theirs done. I think you were very brave. I also know that that proves how far you’ve come in dealing with your anxiety! Congratulations!!! I suffer from extremely severe anxiety and depression. I don’t think a pap test is at big deal, but it still makes me anxious. I am so proud of you and here’s to you continuing to help others for many years to come.
Lovely curtains! The bowls you purchased (4) are to be stacked within each other. Remove the lids. Stack the smallest bowl in the next largest bow. Add the small lid to the bowl. Place the next largest bowl within the larger bowl. Add the lid. Place all bowls within the latest bowl and add the lid. Easy to store when they are within each other.
Yes ladies please get your paps done! My first one showed cervical cancer cells. If I would have put it off, I would have had cervical cancer at age 25.
I always get confused when people talk about blinds not blocking all the light, I forget there are just on the inside. In many parts of Europe we have the ones that go on the outside and completly block the light. I actually miss them since I moved, it was so migraine friendly xD
The curtains and blinds really uplifted the rooms!! They were great choices!! I haven't gotten my curtains done yet. But this video was really an eye opener to what I would like to do with my curtains. 😄😄
I have those Pyrex bowls and they are great we use them for everything - mixing bowls, food storage, taking stuff to potluck/bbq (that was more in the before times)
Thank you SO much for showing the Pap smear. I breathed with you and imagined it for myself - and it's so much more information and experience with this than Iv ever been given in life. Thank you for giving me the opportunity and comfortable place to learn and see this before I have to experience it !!
I love watching your personal vlogs! It’s crazy how much you can relate to someone you’ve never met and lives on the other side of the world! Much love from Canada xo

Go get it done and remember: Pap smear tests doesn’t hurt as much as the people say (biopsy hurts way worse) and it’ll be okay.
Nice to see someone actually spreading awareness and info about this test - I feel people avoid talking about it even though it’s so important
Ah yes irregular cells is quite common to come back, usually it’s nothing to worry about!
(What my doc told me :)
I'd love to have a vlog that's just you (and/or James) walking Bowser. Because I love him. And he deserves all the walks.
Regular or casual vlogs are awesome! I love watching the day to day routines, meal prep and meal ideas, gardening vlogs, etc. 😊
Thank you for promoting(?) Pap smear tests! I get it once a year and I get nervous every time but your encouragement is lovely!! You are a role model💕
Oh I didn't know this about the US guidelines! I feel less bad about having not gone since the Panini 😂
I’d love to see a day in ur life and a story time of how you and James got together. I remember watching your building challenge videos you’d make together
Thank you so much for talking openly about female health. It's super important and sadly often made to feel taboo or that it shouldn't be discussed. So I am very grateful you're being so chill and open, I try to always talk unashamedly about women's health and seeing other especially those with a young female following is amazing!!!
we love tmi deli
idk why but seeing you soo joyous makes me so happy for you and it made my day
Being so open about testing is honestly just what I needed to see right now.
A coil?
@@rachelcookie321 A coil or an InterUterine Device (IUD) is a type of long-term birth control. I won’t go into the details, but the process of getting one fitted begins in the same way as getting a Pap smear 😊
@@marichapps6752 oh I see. Thanks for the explanation. I didn’t know they did that when you get an IUD.
Deli, you are a rock star. Seriously. I love how human, natural and inspiring you are. Thank you for empowering and encourage women all over the world.
I have ALMOST flooded my bathroom…. Caught it before it flooded. I laughed out loud when you said it. I felt so seen. I’m glad I’m not alone. 😂😂😂
deli! this was so sweet, i randomly clicked. and i got a sweet friend moment telling me things a good friend or mom would tell me. i have a pap scheduled for aug. i’m really nervous, but if you can do it, and vlog about it too. then it’s no big deal! i’ve also started becoming more conscious of what i eat and i want to get moving more, you’ve inspired that! i’m glad you’ve inspired others 🤍 you’re amazing!
That's awesome that you filmed your pap test and everything! Thanks so much for sharing and encouraging us all to stay up to date with our health screens!
I love to see you so happy and joyful about your curtains. Definitely a happy adulting moment
Listening to Deli talk about her life and things going on makes me love these videos. It feels as though she is talking to me as a friend which I love. I have bad social anxiety and don't have many friends These videos have inspired me to work out and eat healthy as I am overweight and I love trying the recipes I see here.
Yay so glad to hear ❤️❤️😊
Thank you so much for sharing the Pap test. Such a great way of stopping women being too scared to go as it’s so important. Love you and all you create Maddy 🤩
Wearing my Deligracy shirt while I watch 💪🥹
That’s lovely! Thanks for telling me. I’m so happy to hear the videos are opening viewers up to new things :)
Thank you for sharing so many private things in your life! It reminds and shows me that I’m not alone and your confidence really helps me!! I’m so afraid of a Pap test, thank you so much for sharing 💜💜💜
Deli I love you guys so much I have been watching both you and James since high school, and I'm 24 now. Your content is so wholesome and uplifting.
Seeing your joy made me feel so genuinely happy!
She used the smaller plastic one and I barely felt a thing 👍🏻
P.s. my first one was so horrible I was afraid to go back for ten years
I find it so interesting to see other countries handle pap smears.
XO
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing all of the things you do. Can only imagine how much it takes from you but it helps normalize women's health care and how much it is needed.
i love that you talk about personal funny things that other people would think is tmi bc as a woman i want to discuss it but no one wants to
The nurse you had was so nice! Mine is the exact same way. Thanks for speaking on proper feminine care!
❤️❤️❤️
The new curtains look so gooood *chef's kiss*
The butt flood accident 🤣 ... I can relate.
The pots look lovely on the deck but I’d suggest moving them off before the plants get too big unless you’re feeling very muscly. Unsure if you’ve had a deck before, but if it’s oiled it needs to be redone annually, and moving huge pots with plants in them is a pain!
Your curtains are beautiful! Thank you for sharing your new decor!
I love your tmi, makes it feel less stigmatized and scary 🥰
Yup, those knives are amazing! I bought exactly the same pink one (sharp and cheap - 10/10). I believe it's a Swiss-orginated company that make these :) Greetings from Europe!
I also have the little container for advaco and onion! Thank you for sharing the house looks amazing and I love the new curtains
You have fully changed my mind about sheers. I love love love them.
At least that's what I do ☺
Hahah love james Lego collection! My brother finished his Lego titanic and it was massive! So many pieces 😂
Love the curtains! These are the best vlogs. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
❤️❤️❤️
I look forward to the Deli real life vlogs SO MUCH. Honestly, I’ve always been more of a lurker than commenter (I mean it in the least creepy way) but I love love love the times I get to sit down and watch these. It’s like hanging out with a friend. Don’t stop vlogging! 🥰
I love watching these homey videos they are my favourite! I also love that you not only talked about having a pap smear but you showed your face during the process, I love that women are talking about it more!
Smooth transition talking about your new curtains to your beef curtains, how on topic!! 😂😂 love your vloggs deli!!
Yeah good idea to ask :) it was not painful for me as I was comfortable with the doctor and she was so gentle :)
❤️❤️❤️❤️
All the props to you for being so open about testing and preventative medicine. You rock
OMG Bowser having all the funs. The curtains are lovely. Everything is coming together nicely.
Thanks!
I have paps every year since 16 because cervical cancer runs in my family. They are an important part of your health care.
The curtains and blinds really uplifted the rooms!! They were great choices!! I haven't gotten my curtains done yet. But this video was really an eye opener to what I would like to do with my curtains. 😄😄
DYING at your drain story! Thank you for sharing the whole process!
I never been so invested in a curtain saga but im invested!
But yes i’ll take an organisation vlog i need inspiration to organise my wardrobe 😂😂
You are an amazing person! Love the update and the pap was a great idea thank you
sceduled my Pap, been forgetting and putting it off! Thank you so much Deli
I love watching your personal vlogs! It’s crazy how much you can relate to someone you’ve never met and lives on the other side of the world! Much love from Canada xo
If you're feeling nervous about a pap smear, you can always request to meet with a provider for a consultation outside of an exam room first to discuss any accommodations you may need. You deserve to feel safe getting medical care.
Thank you so much for normalising topics like that. You’re truly empowering women all over the world with your content ❤️
