I'm excited to see you back in your garden, Deli! The vlogs are just what you're up to, they don't have to be of a certain theme. It's always fun to see how other people spend their day and do house chores, so that you don't feel like you're the only one with a big list of things to do in the house! As for the trees they cut off, ugh, I hate it too when it happens. We had to remove a huge pine from our garden, because it was so close to the house, that it affected the foundations. It was such a sad day for me to see the giant go. But sometimes you've to do what you've got to do! Anyway, safe travels and much love to all 3 of you from the other side of the globe (Greece)!❤

Regarding the hair under the chairs: We have a cat and small child. We just vacuum them off every time we vacuum. Regarding the tree clearing: OMG, I didn't know I am not the only one crying about trees being removed! Replacing cut trees is BS. Where are they gonna put them anyway? Not in the same space, right? Also, maybe the replace them with twice as many, beause that's how many it takes to make the same amount survive. Hate trees being removed or cut!!!

Hi Deli! Hi James! I agree vlogs dont necessarily have to be an event or something exciting, its just a little snippet of what's going on in your life! I enjoy y'alls content so its just fun to see more of you as people living your lives and feel like I'm just hanging out catching up with you. ALSO, dog hair on the chair leg pads is definitely relatable content. If you find a solution let us all know! lol Safe travels back to Melbourne!!

Oh, for the pads on the chair legs! My parents found some that are silicone sleeves with cork on the bottom! The silicone is clear so even they cover the legs by maybe 3-4 cm, they're not too obvious, and the cork isn't sticky like rubber and if you do have to clean it, its much easier than fabric!

I get you on the tree removal. A year ago my condo complex put up bird netting on the outside stairs to keep pigeons from pooping on the stairs. But, there was a nesting pigeon I'd named Regina whose eggs were a couple days from hatching by my estimations. I told the workers about it, hoping they'd move the nest (it was in a planter that former residents had left). Nope. They put up the mesh, blocking Regina from her nest, and you know those eggs died. Yeah, they were pigeons...but they were living things and they were killed for stupid reasons.

I’ve had two knee surgeries and I remember these exercises. Another one you can do for the knee is laying flat on the ground, grab a ball or even a rolled up thick towel, put it under your knee in the knee pit. Bend your opposite leg that you aren’t working on up and rest your foot flat on the ground. With the knee that is on the towel, flex your quads and lift your foot off the ground til your leg is halfway up in the air straight (can be anywhere from 6-10 inches of your heel off the ground, butt fully on the ground, pushing your knee pit into the towel. I’m sorry I’m terrible at explaining) and then also do clamshells, which you can google. I forget what the first exercise is called. If you also lay on the floor and put an exercise ball under your heels, lift your butt up (putting all the weight on your shoulders and heels) and then after you get used to doing that, do that same exercise but bring your knees to your chest, it’s not only good for knees but good for the core. But they both really help. I hope your healing is going well since this was a few months ago!

If it helps, I study wildlife habitat, and depending on the growing conditions of the location, removing trees can be important for wildlife because they need multiple plant community types for different life stages or purposes. Like some birds need open land for feeding and forests for nesting at the same time, or some birds require trees of different ages to be in the same forests to live, and the current forest might not be suitable for them. It all depends on the species and area. Forb plants that some animal species eat require a certain percentage of sunlight to hit the ground to grow, which can't be achieved in a forest that hasn't been on fire in a while. This applies for fire dependent forests. Different plant communities have different lengths of time that it can go without fire before it needs fire or removal. Others, like the rainforest, should not receive fire at all because it is fire indepentent and wouldn't need removal to mimic fire. There is nothing that mimics fire except... fire, but sometimes in land restoration, we remove a small part of the forset to regrow threatened or important early succesional plants (grasses and forbs) to help the birds and wildlife. There is also the method of using fire or selecting specific trees to remove within the forest to increase the percentage of sunlight that reaches the ground. Those last two methods are best. It depends on whether the natural area used to have natural disturbances that would remove plants naturally like fires and we have prevented it from happening as often as it would naturally, which makes fires more severe and intense. However, when tree removal isn't done for that purpose but to construct stuff in a way in which plants can never grow back ever, then I get so annoyed because obviously wildlife needs land to live on. It's so much worse when it is in my backyard. Everyone cares the most about the areas near their house. Me too. I especially love the fact that really old trees have been there for a lot of history and don't want them touched near my house. Just thought it was fun information since when I learned it, it wasn't what I expected. Edit: Also, they removed two forest patches next to my apartment for construction, and I am so mad. Lol

My chi/terrier girl sheds like crazy compared to my dearly departed little Yorkie. Takes some getting used to, but she is worth the fuss. 🐕💛 I do have hard plastic tips on the chair legs but they still pick up hair, even did before. I think they're just going to, as they are rubbing over it and there is static, etc.
Ah, that's too bad about the trees. They bring such lovely shade, and filter noise and give off oxygen. I hope some replacements will be planted nearby. I planted a tree at the house where I lived before this one, and it got pretty big in 10 years. It started to give some shade in 5 or 6 being a faster growing maple. I'm going to try to plant another here as well but I need to choose carefully where to put it. Too close to the house, etc, is not going to work.
It's great you're able to manage switching locations. Each person accommodating the other if possible goes a long way in the work of a relationship. 😊

That’s great your maple grew so well! I’m sure they will plant more but it’ll be a long time before nature can settle there again and recover.
James was a good sport being filmed in the morning!

I would love more vlogs if you can... some of the things i like to see in your vlogs are the meals you make, your work out routine, gardening and of course Bowser.🐶 I like your vids because they are calm and relaxing and easier to relate to and feel more real. also I'm going to try and grow my own salat this year because you have inspired me that I can do it! 😊 I have ADD and social anxiety big time but when ever I watch your vlogs it really does help me to feel like it is okay and I can do it to ( what ever the "it" is that is being hard that day).
Keep being the nice and calm you and boop Bowsers nose. 💜

This is super late but I'm currently catching up with your channel, I usually use the end of the vacuum to suck away all the hair on the feet of the chairs! Take off anything you can from the vacuum so it's as handy as it can be and then just vacuum them 😅

What about velcro for the pads you use on the kitchen chairs? Then you can take them off, maybe clean better or get a new pad and stick it back on.

Very jelly of you for being able to workout! I injured my foot and haven't been able to put weight on it for quite a long time. My doctor says after two more weeks I may be able to start physio to get back on track!

Omg I feel you about the trees :( I live in the middle of the forest here in Florida. I’ve pretty much lived in the same are for over a decade and I see them cutting down so many trees. I always imagined it would look the same forever but now that is not the case. It’s so barren in some areas. It looks so bad. I can’t even imagine how badly it could be affecting the nature here that depended on it and built their lives here :( ik some tree removal might be necessary to help prevent the spread of wildfires but there is a point where we take to much for ourselves. Especially since it takes 20-30 years for a tree to reach maturity. Why can’t we grow bamboo and use that more for our day to day items? 😭

It's so cool to see Bowser eat like that. My mum has a Great Dane, and whenever I explain to other people what his meals are like they look at me like I've got an arm growing out of my head.
It's very similar, dry food, warm water to make it less dry and then either mackerel or sardines, or if we're feeling really fancy, salmon, because he loves fish. Maybe it's more of a big dog thing. 🤔
Also I felt the slobber thing a bit too much. I consider it lucky if it lands on the wall.
